Interesting, never thought Viz made such a move. For me its a big deal bc now I'm not sure anymore that Gon wanted him to go and thIs sad af lol. Anyways, I might re-read the manga, I remember feeling Gon ignored Killua's presence when he ordered Knuckle to keep Komugi, also want to rethink the explosion scene (i mean, would be in character for Killua if he took the damage with Gon purposely but he showed unharmed after Gon cries looking at him.. Gon protected him, maybe?). Well ty Tele!!!

it is a big deal isnt it??? but dw it doesnt have to do with Gon not wanting Killua to join !! I think this is a choice from Togashi to keep it ambiguous so we can understand Killua’s pain. Bc maybe Killua thinks Gon doesn’t want him to go.... But Gon’s behavior really shows he wants him to (mostly talking about the “its no good, if you stay here any longer....” which definitely means “i wouldnt be able to let you go”) - so this chapter is like. ambiguous on purpose imo. so we can understand how Killua feels, but also know that Gon is hurt by them separating still. it’s a bit hard to explain im not sure im making sense jkndfgk

gon did ignore killua a good part of CAA, i cant deny it. but he had a lot on his plate and in the end him pushing killua away was an act of protection :( and its an interesting thing you mentioned, maybe gon did protect killua from the blast somehow!!!

but dw! gon really, really wanted Killua to come with him, i’m 100% sure of that. ty for dropping by my askbox <3
