🔥- What first drew you to Rengoku Kyojuro/Tanjiro?:
I think it was the iconic sleepy scene on the train for me. I didn’t read the manga previous to watch the movie, so that moment caught me off guard the first time like: ”h-he..he’s rlly sleeping on his shoulder? that peacefully?? omg??!!11″ After how awful was the Hashira reunion with Tanjiro, and then he is sleeping like this on his shoulder, Kyojuro being also so relaxed with him like didn’t bothered him at all. What can I say, I’m weak for sleeping scenes between characters, couldn’t stop myself to not ship them instantly ♥
☀️ - How did you watch Mugen train for the first time? (In theaters, at home…):
I watched it at home. Now I regret soo much not going to watch the movie in theaters back then. I was kinda overwhelmed with KNY while everyone else was all the day putting big spoilers of each chapter, so I watched the series 2 years later I think, when people stopped with the spoilers & relaxed a bit. I saw the summary of Mugen Train in theaters with the Season 3 first episode now! Maybe it’s not the same but I was so happy n crying while watching him on the big screen. I also buy the DVD on christmas so I could rewatch it again in European Spanish (?
⚔️ - More importantly, did you cry when Rengoku… yknow… died lol:
I knew the spoilers. I knew what was coming. But I was crying like no end. Seriously, I got devastated. The last moments my eyes were so wet with tears, my vision was blurred
❄️ - what are your feelings about Akaza? Was he an effective villain in the story? Do you like him in AUs?:
Okay, I need to be very honest with this. I despised him. A lot.
I was bitter towards him, because I was so angry that he killed him like that, I hated the killing donut style like in Jojo is very common. I also was mad as hell because I think is just, so unfair. He was about to win actually, but because Kyojuro was previously drained from saving TWO HOUNDRED PASSENGERS & having to use lots of his stamina while the train derailed. If it wasn’t for this, he would have been more than ready to kill Akaza.
I keep being bitter about it when I readed n heard ppl telling me things like “he was so weak lol” “Akaza contained himself during his fight with Rengoku (Not true)” “He’s the weakest Hashira” bla bla bla.
But, well, yes, everyone who told me about Akaza’s backstory were right. In the end, I couldn’t stop being so sad about him. I found him the Upper Moon with the most tragic, cruel and saddest story, very logical to turn him a demon. Rewatching his scenes after the fight with Tanjiro & Giyuu, it made more sense about his vision of the weak and why he was that amazed with Kyojuro’s fight spirit. I think he is the only Upper Moon who was inconsciously more related with his human past, like how his combat style was the same, his names attacks & even the snowflake were called after fireworks because his memories of his fiance. And his decision of not eat or fight women, every detail of Hakuji is still on him, that’s what I love the most and I find it very interesting. Thanks to that, now I can finally say he’s my favorite Upper Moon but not forgive him for what he did to my beloved Kyo. He even spend his fight with Tanjiro talking all the time about Kyojuro. Boy, he was THAT horny on main for this man. Can’t blame him tho. He’s more of a Rengoku simp than me. I like when he’s the same as obssesed with Kyojuro in AU’s, wish they could write him being jealous over Tanjiro’s crush on Kyo or viceversa more often </3
💤 - what are your feelings about Enmu? Was he an effective villain in the story? Do you like him in AUs?:
I like him! He’s one of the low ranked demons I think I like the most. He could have been very powerful if he had eaten that many people, the fusion idea with the train was good actually. But he did the villain stupidest thing: sent random minions do his dirty job. Don’t see him that much in Au’s but is hilarious on Kimetsu Gakuen as a pervert guy with a weird fetish with trains LMAO
❤️ - what are your favorite kind of RenTan stories? (Canon, Rengoku lives, modern… etc):
-I love the Rengoku Kyojuro Lives tag, best thing ever that keeps me giving serotonin. ❤️ -I like canon divergences where they can interact while the canon story progress and Tanjiro living in the Rengoku state as he’s training with Kyojuro as his tsugoku. If the story makes them have slow burn, sexual desires, first time, love confessions, and hopefully a happy ending is my favorite thing. -To be honest I’m very picky with Modern Au’s, specially with Rengoku-sensei. I don’t like when is a college AU but not like Kimetsu Gakuen, when I read Rengoku as an American history teacher is...weird. Can’t read any fic like that sorry (? What I like in modern Au’s is Baker Tanjiro + Teacher Kyojuro and/or Rentan Childhood friends! And Hikomomo implied as well
🥵 - what are your thoughts about their rank difference? Did you want Tanjiro to study under Kyojuro?:
Is so hot n spicy to think of Tan training hard along Kyojuro. He would have been an amazing teacher for sure. I like to think that Tanjiro, in the very middle of puberty, would be having much trouble of concentration because his master looks so attractive while he talks about flame breathing with a high ponytail n sweaty bare chest. Tanjiro feeling so nervous & embarrased, how can he feel aroused with Rengoku-san, oh such impure thoughts for an elder son & tsugoku hng
💭 - In a world where the train ride lasted longer, what do Rengoku and Tanjiro dream of?:
I want to think that Kyojuro would had more childhood memories with his family. Happiest moments before his mother died. And times when he was with his father and Senjuro as a kid. Mundane things, but so tender that would be engraved in his heart forever. Deep down, he would like to turn back to this moments again. I’m sure he would dream about the days his mother was pregnant with his little brother, wanting to protect both of them while his father was in a mission as a Hashira. Touching his mom belly n getting so excited to meet his baby brother, putting his head to hear the heartbeat n talking ( too loud unfortunately) about how he wants to play with his little brother and be his best friend & love him so much already 😭 For Tanjiro, I think the same, but dreaming more about his dad as well with his family like he does in the movie
🍠 - what are your opinions on the Rengoku family, and how Kyojuro was raised?:
Oh god. Where do I start I love the Rengoku family so deeply. I felt his family so human n also hits close home to me. In the series, most of the characters also has tragic pasts with their families, but I find the Rengoku fam more closed to mine. Watching a wonderful and wholesome family got broken with their mother’s death, the consecuences of depression, such as ending with alcoholism, emotional distance and parental abandonment. Seeing Kyojuro, the elder son, having to repress his sadness for the sake of his little brother, being a father figure both of them doesn’t have anymore, and Senjuro feeling lonely in the house, a failure for not having enough skills as his brother & father to be a demon slayer. Both brothers needed his father appreciation, but they coulnd’t do anything about it. Just supporting each other thru their sadness, grief and loneliness. That’s...so real. So accurated and realistic. I feel like Senjuro so much as I’m the youngest sibling with my sister, who’s my support as well. I love everything about the Rengoku family so much 😭 😭
🪨 - what are your opinions on the Kamado family, and how Tanjiro was raised?:
I also love his family! They were so adorable and tender, Tanjiro is a wonderful, cute big brother with each one of his brothers n sisters. Their ending is truly painful, is impossible not to cry or feel sad about them. They deserved more, that’s why I love when in any AU they’re all alive n happy with their bakery (Even Tanjiro’s father, poor man, he’s mostly dead all the time. Give this guy some interaction pls)
🗑️ - just tell us everything you love about Shinjuro:
Hnng the Dilf of the Rengoku’s. What a hot angry daddy ❤️🔥 Yes, he deserved the headbutt. But, contrary to what many thinks about him, he’s written so well. He’s a very good and hurtful realistic representation of what having an alcoholic dad looks like. What dealing with grief for the loss of a loved one and how someone can’t really get over it looks like. It doesn’t mean it condones all his actions towards his sons, but saddly that’s how it is. This man did loved his family, he was so in love with his wife, that reading his resentiment towards the demon later Kyojuro would fight before become a Hashira, saying why he has to forgive an evil creature like this, but his beloved wife, a good person, had to suffer an illness and die. God, it broked my heart to pieces. Not to mention how he was drowing himself in more alcohol than before with his eldest son’s death, as a way to forget the pain. The way he cried for Kyojuro, is the answer to know if he did loved his son. He does. He cried as he realised he still loved him and cared about him, even if he didn’t deserved it for all the hateful comments. The way in the end he’s walking grabbing Senjuro’s hand is the most beautiful moment in the manga. PS: Requiem of a Redemption is a Masterpiece of a fanfiction. The best way to explore Shinjuro’s character *chef kiss*
🎴 - do you ship Tanjiro with anyone else? If yes, who? If no, why not?: Actually I only can ship him with another Rengoku. With Senjuro. I can see them as a friends to lovers, penpals lovers, first love, or even with angst with Tanjiro loving Sen as a way to keep remembering Kyojuro
❤️🔥 - do you ship Kyojuro with anyone else? If yes, who? If no, why not?:
Yes, ironically I can ship Kyojuro with more. He’s a himbo everyone would need in their lives. I ship him with Tengen and now I’m falling more and more for AkaRen.
💣 - share your most controversial RenTan take. Set your thoughts ablaze!! I hate when they draw Tanjiro extremelly girly & delicate. Like, come on, he may be a teenager boy, but he trains like crazy. His body ended to be a tiny muscled body but with a baby face w round cheeks. Also, he was born in the mountains and worked hard, even when he was dressed as a girl, his cute baby face couldn’t hide the shape as a young man. My other take is that Tanjiro isn’t always “softie uwu”. He can be so mad, he says more swearing when he’s really angry in the manga, did we forget how he screamed back at Shinjuro? Well, if Kyojuro tells him something that could be very mean or just disagree with him, Tanjiro would reply back for sure, even if he could be very ashamed of himself later, he can’t stand injustice and can be brave enought to tell his master, a damn Flame Hashira, to shut their mouths up.
RenTan ask game!
Grit your teeth and join the fun.
Please reblog so everyone can see!

Mugen Musou / Krung Thep ~ Moon Troupe 2019
Over the length of my trip I saw a pretty fair cross section of this show—way back in mid-March pre-Krung Thep changes in Takarazuka; the live viewing of Takarazuka raku with Miya’s sayonara show included; and last week in Tokyo, the first full day of Reiko’s absence with the cast changes in place.
I solidly did not enjoy Mugen Musou. I love Tamaki’s Tsukigumi, I love Miya Rurika and was so glad I had the opportunity to see her last show, and no one’s treatment in Mugen Musou was able to save it for me. I think perhaps if you read and enjoyed the novel, and also love Tsukigumi, there’s a decent chance that you’ll like this. I did not read the novel, and it felt very much like I had to as a prerequisite.
There was an awful lot jammed into an hour and a half. The flow of the show bothered me; there were so many scenes, they changed so quickly, and none of them felt very substantial to me. In Saito-sensei’s attempt to cover as much plot as humanly possible, I think he lost the characters; while I understood generally what was going on, I did not immediately get who many of the characters were, how they knew each other, or why many of them were doing what they were doing.
That provided a poor setup for my biggest gripe: I recognize that I am an American, and I am not necessarily the intended audience, and that this is certainly a big part of Japanese history and culture, but in the year 2019, the whole samurai honor I-must-kill-everyone-just-to-prove-I’m-strongest thing is not very compelling to me. If accompanied by moving character relationships (which, I hear, the novel has in spades), I can definitely give it a pass; but in the absence of onstage character development, that as the standalone force driving the story was simply not interesting or relatable enough to me to be enjoyable.
With a few exceptions—and this probably just goes back to the overall lack of character development—I thought most of the characters were ill fitted to their actresses. I don’t even think anyone did a poor job, everyone really gave it their best effort; my hang up lies entirely with the directorial choices, and I guess the choice of this show in general. I find Tamaki the most charming when she’s fully in wholesome ideal husband mode. I finally watched Elisabeth recently and liked her Tod a lot more than I expected also, so that was a fair out-of-the-box choice for her. The samurai with something to prove for no good reason other than that he’s embarrassed about his dad did not hit me where I want Tamaki to hit me. Otsu is not really presented with much depth; she’s pretty demure, and she spends the whole show waiting around for men to come back to her and gets sad when they break their promises. I was hoping we’d get something that would allow Sakura to show off her strengths a little more in her Grand Theater debut (although she did play the flute for real). I wanted more pining between Otsu and Musashi, but I didn’t really get it, and what there was seemed kind of one-sided on Otsu’s part. Kojiro, too, was one-note; I’m not sure what there was to him other than “the strongest dude” (oh, and he wears a cross, so he’s CHRISTIAN. That’s BACKSTORY). Miya did her damnedest, and she did manage a kind of cold sexy anime boy vibe, but again, especially for her last show, this was just not the kind of character I most enjoy seeing her play, nor did it play to her strengths in my opinion (with truly all the love in my heart for this woman, I have to say she cannot swordplay her way out of a wet paper bag). On my first viewing I thought Ari was the villain, but after the other two I don’t think there even is a villain; Ari seems to be just a stern guy from a dojo (that Musashi passed through when he was weak and thus *had to* defeat in its entirety when he got strong). Again, I don’t really know what his motivation was, and the character didn’t show off any of Ari’s charms, or challenge her in a meaningful way to try something different. Very few other people got roles substantial enough to be worth mentioning.
I DID enjoy some specific things:
Reiko’s character, Matahachi, was my favorite, and her portrayal was my favorite. Matahachi had personality, and amidst all this very serious samurai glory business going on, he had sort of his own contrary subplot that I found much more entertaining. He’s a loyal friend to Musashi, but also lazy, kinda dumb, and utterly useless. He runs away from home with Musashi in the beginning, but while Musashi is off on his quest for ultimate strength, Matahachi pretty much gives up, spends a lot of time sleeping in a brothel, has to do manual labor for 5 minutes and gets tired of it, and eventually happens upon a dying man who is trying to carry some sort of scroll of certification to Kojiro. Matahachi is thrilled at his great fortune; he takes the scroll from the dead guy and uses it to steal Kojiro’s identity, attracting hordes of women and scaring away thugs on his “reputation.” His aging parents WALK OUT OF THEIR TINY HOMETOWN with the purpose of finding him and bringing him home, and successfully find him and embarrass him in front of all his swooning admirers. I saw Oda on the first day she took over this role, and I wish I could have seen her after a little more warmup. She didn’t have the charm that endeared me to Reiko’s Matahachi, but she sure can hold her own with the rest of the upperclassmen in terms of acting and stage presence.
Toki-chan as Akemi, a girl who Sachika’s character took into her brothel and raised, gave me the heart-wrenching yearning I wanted from Musashi and Otsu. In the very first scene after the prologue, Akemi and Musashi are walking and talking (she’s taken a liking to him). Musashi finds a bell on the ground and sticks it into Akemi’s obi. For the remainder of the show, Akemi jingles softly with every appearance and every movement, haunted via sound by the reminder of her unrequited love for Musashi, making all of her longing looks more poignant.
There’s a scene at the end where Musashi sees a ghost/memory of his father (Shimon). Dad is like WHY DID YOU DO ANY OF THIS? and Musashi doesn’t really have an answer. Same, dad.
I loved Krung Thep so much the first time I saw it. Then it went through some changes, and I cooled a little on it, but still thought it was really good overall.
It’s been a 2-act heavy year so far, and Estrellas and Krung Thep (as of me writing this 2 days before Yukigumi shonichi) have been our only revues. I thought that for the most part the music in Krung Thep was beautiful, not really in a jam to the soundtrack way like Estrellas, but in a really nice ambient way; there are a lot of bells and other interesting sounds that we don’t get as frequently. It also has a dazzling gold aesthetic, the kind of spectacle you want as a Takarazuka lover going into a revue.
There were for sure some questionable moments. The boy band number (albeit this time with Sakura at the center of the boys), which, much to my chagrin, seems to have become a revue staple regardless of director, was originally THIS SONG, which I happen to know and love thanks to this Japanese version, so I forgave its presence. This was one of the three numbers that got the axe before filming day, and they replaced it with a synth remix of the Takarazuka classic C’est Magnifique. That rendered it no longer forgivable. The chuuzume was very long and set to Shall we Dance, but like... only the chorus over and over and over and over again with varying flair. It was also turbans doing absolutely nothing to disguise Daisuke’s favorite Latin ruffles, and, if not for the King and I undercurrent, it wouldn’t have fit with the rest of the show whatsoever. A King and I medley maybe would’ve been nice?
Standout numbers:
The first or second number after the prologue (depending on when you think the prologue ends) is a Reiko vs. Ari kickboxing match. It’s hammy and ridiculous and goes on for two whole rounds, which seemed TOO LONG for how awkward it was the first time I saw it... but then when the fight ends, they break into a song about “male friendship” and how they love each other no matter who wins or loses. After that I was stoked, and on subsequent viewings appreciated every detail down to their girlfriends and trainers in the audience.
There’s a beauuuutiful barefoot duet dance between Tamaki and Miya
Mayupon in drag singing in at least 3 octaves flawlessly. There’s an alternate timeline, perhaps a brighter one, where I’m just in Mayupon’s club
Admittedly one of my least favorite revue tropes where there’s a nightclub and a girl and a terrible boyfriend and a new guy who shows up and someone gets jealous and has a gun and the wrong person always dies... but this time Ari is in hotpants
The Grand Hotel numbers in the sayonara show are probably too tough a contender, but the Krung Thep kuroenbi is not only great (messy tailcoats with rolled sleeves, mmmmm) but also almost the best little taidan gift for Miya in the whole thing. I don’t know how they’re going to splice the frames together for the DVD, but it opens with Miya singing a solo, and then she goes down into the floor as the kuroenbi is starting (making it look like she won’t even be in it). The rest of the otokoyaku dance a bit, then Miya comes back up out of the floor dressed to match, and everyone else hits one of those sexy lunges in formation, and then they all turn their heads to look at her in unison. Ugh.
I’m gonna miss Miya!!!!! And I hope Reiko is doing ok.

When people ask what is my favorite anime, I say: Natsume Yuujinchou Sengoku Basara 2009-2011 Code Geass But I know when people ask for my favorite series, they actually want to know what my tastes are, and just 3 series isn't really it. Or, it’s such an incomplete picture, I'm not sure it's truthful. For example, I may be into almost exclusively the iyashikei genre now, but I used to watch primarily Shonen anime, particularly "demon hunting" and martial arts anime. I’d give them their own sections on my shelves. And a lot of my manga collecting was about yokai/supernatural/suburban-fantasy, gender-role bending, and Rumiko Takahashi.
This old post is a good list: (https://mysticdragon3md3.tumblr.com/post/183775613247/that-does-sound-fun-but-i-dont-like) "Name an anime you like for every letter of your name!" Mushi-shi Yu Yu Hakusho Sengoku Basara Tiger & Bunny Inuyasha Code Geass Devil Hunter Yohko Ranma ½ Azumanga Daioh Get Backers Ouran Koko Host Club Natsume Yuujinchou 3rd: the Girl With the Blue Eye, The
The figures I buy are also good indicators of what series I loved throughout the years. Though, there are a bunch of Nendoroids in my collection from series/characters I don't care about, and I just wanted their wardrobes or figures as beauty pieces. Weeding those out, and looking at the Nendoroids in front of me: Sengoku Basara 2009-2011 Touken Ranbu Kill la Kill Puella Magi Madoka Magica Persona 5 Hetalia Kingdom Hearts Nichijou Ushio and Tora Kimi ni Todoke Naruto Fullmetal Alchemist Knight's & Magic Mega Man Bleach Inuyasha Code Geass Slayers Haikyuu Attack on Titan (season 1) Vocaloid (Len, Rin, Luka) Kantai Collection Rumiko Takahashi anime/manga Tiger and Bunny Kamen Rider W Dramatical Murder Free Iwatobi Swim Club Ranma 1/2 Kamen Rider Fourze Kamen Rider Gaim Lucky Star My pins and keychain carms are also good indicators: Persona 5 Bleach Aquarion Age: Juvenile Orion Get Backers Azumanga Daioh Slayers Ranma 1/2 Hetalia Free Iwatobi Swim Club Kingdom Hearts Haikyuu Inuyasha Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Outlaw Star
Series via my plushies: Bleach Street Fighter II Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 Azumanga Daioh Inuyasha Hetalia Ouran High School Host Club Kingdom Hearts Naruto Code Geass Fruits Basket
My DVD/bluray collection is a little misleading because I bought most of it, back in the day when you couldn't preview a series through free streaming first, to see if you wanted to actually buy it. Back then, you'd buy some disks, then the completionist itch and "sunk cost fallacy" set in, and you might even convince yourself that you liked a series, just to rationalize DVD purchases. So I'll try to screen out the series I didn't really end up liking. Here are my favorites, though there are still many series I haven’t bought yet: Slayers Naruto Real Bout High School (Samurai Girl Kyoko) Yoroiden Samurai Troopers Samurai 7 Sengoku Basara 2009 Shadow Skill Street Fighter II the Movie (Tenjyo Tenge) Tsukikage Ran Yu Yu Hakusho Bubblegum Crisis/Crash Code Geass (Eureka 7, 2nd half) Gad Guard Gankutsuo (Gunslinger Girl) Iria Outlaw Star (The Third: the Girl With the Blue Eye) Trigun Bleach Claymore Mamono Hunter Yohko Devil May Cry Hellsing Hellsing Ultimate Mushishi Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Ushio & Tora Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust Yami no Matsuei (Final Fantasy Unlimited) Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 Get Backers High School of the Dead Those Who Hunt Elves Tiger & Bunny Azumanga Daioh Ouran High School Host Club Haikyuu Gakuen Heaven Hetalia Kamichuu Kare Kano Lucky Star (Maho Tsukai Tai) Midori Days Nichijou Magic Knight Rayearth To Heart Uta no Prince-sama Revolutionary Girl Utena X Kimi ni Todoke Natsume's Book of Friends Rumiko Takahashi Anthology (Urusei Yatsura) Maison Ikkoku Mermaid Forest Ranma 1/2 Inuyasha
It's pretty interesting to go through my shelves and see what I used to be obsessed with. And my manga should be the best indicator. But I've rearranged my shelves so much to prioritize figures and display cases, that most of my manga is buried in the back of my shelves, behind everything else. Though, my most favorite manga is still in the front, and I have old photos of what used to be in the front rows: Rumic World Rumic Theater Maison Ikkoku Mermaid saga Ranma 1/2 Inuyasha FAKE By the Sword Tenryu Until the Full Moon Land of the Blindfolded Penguin Revolution Sweet Rein Magic Knight Rayearth Clover X Natsume's Book of Friends Claymore Aquarian Age: Juvenile Orion Kieli Mugen Spiral Yokai Doctor Her Majesty's Dog Category Freaks Buso Renkin Trigun Parasyte Bleach Kamikaze Girls Revolutionary Girl Utena Girl Got Game Pretty Face Your And My Secret Otomen W Juliet Ouran High School Host Club Mame Basara Hetalia Kimi ni Todoke Kare Kano A.I. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Anime Film Sells Over 1 Million Copies on Home Video in 3 Days
Image via Demon Slayer on Twitter
The Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train keeps on rolling all the way to the bank, with the first three day numbers released for the highest-grossing anime film worldwide. Aniplex revealed in a press release last night that Mugen Train had sold a whopping 1,074,170 copies on its first three days of release (including the June 15 pre-order shipping day), making it one of the biggest home video releases in the modern era in Japan.
Oricon reported on June 16 that the Blu-ray limited edition and regular DVD edition were number one on the charts for the day, and had already broken the previous first-week sales record for 2021, overtaking Snow Man Asia Tour 2D.2D. Over the next few days, each release helped push the Mugen Train to over 1 million and likely solidifying it as the biggest release of the year.
The press release from Aniplex (with numbers from Oricon) broke down the sales of each version in the first three days, which is as follows:
Day 1 (June 15 - Pre-orders going out):
Limited edition Blu-ray - 268,490 copies
Regular edition Blu-ray - 201,895 copies
Limited edition DVD - 115,499 copies
Regular edition DVD - 218,195 copies
Total for the day - 804,079 copies
Day 2 (June 16 - Release day):
Limited edition Blu-ray - 30,007 copies
Regular edition Blu-ray - 50,881 copies
Limited edition DVD - 20,751 copies
Regular edition DVD - 71,507 copies
Total for the day - 173,146 copies
Day 3 (June 17):
Limited edition Blu-ray - 12,549 copies
Regular edition Blu-ray - 33,609 copies
Limited edition DVD - 8,609 copies
Regular edition DVD - 42,178 copies
Total for the day - 96,945 copies
Total for the first three days: 1,074,170 copies
Just some notes that the above totals may not include some online retailers, like the ufotable WEBSHOP, which saw the site break under the heavy load of people trying to get pre-orders and have since said that any orders going of Mugen Train will be shipped one to three weeks after purchase.
What is interesting between the first two days is the difference between the limited-edition Blu-ray and the regular edition DVD. It seems that the people who wanted the LE version of the release seemingly pre-ordered the film and had it shipped out, whilst many who went to physical stores on release day would have gotten the regular DVD edition, which is also the cheapest version.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train opened in Japanese cinemas on October 16 and had the best opening weekend in Japanese cinema history, becoming the highest-grossing film in Japanese theaters ever, the highest-grossing anime and Japanese film worldwide, and the highest-grossing film of 2020. You can read our review of the film here. [Street Fighter V] Extra Battle: Viable Ryu
If you were lucky enough to get the Extra Boss Battle before July 1, 2018 you got a chance to fight Ryu dubbed "The Master" it cost 1000FM to fight him and just like with Fortnite Thanos was for a limited time this is something I want to see more of in the future with different games and even more possible limited time crossover events that keeps interest and can change, add, or improve gameplay keeping things fresh, fun and unpredictable for the gamer. I think both are cool ideas and watching MDZ Jimmy fight what he calls him Viable Ryu was funny and entertaining check it out. This was pretty cool I had just made a post about the new DLC character G and the speculation on who he is and some of the boss battles of SFV so it was cool to see the Ryu The Master "A True Martial Artist" in his traditional Gi. G and Ryu's rival Sagat are the last 2 planned DLC characters planned coming out later this year, and with ideas like this they can keep the game fresh for years to come.
Bonus:
VesperArcade has been putting up a lot of quality strategy and advice videos for many of the top games this year including the fighting game genre. With the release of the character called G getting closer wanted to revisit one of the best years for fighting games.
Extra Bonus:
With Street Fighter celebrating its 30th Anniversary and speculation on who G is, Mortal Kombat coincidentally just came off of celebrating its 25th Anniversary and many anticipating a new Mortal Kombat game (Mortal Kombat 11) and whether the game would take place before or after Armageddon. SMGxPrincess, Dynasty, BruskPoet, History Behind the Warrior and Super have some of the best informative, fun insights, and gameplay with Mugen creators Borg117 & Bleed having some of the best new gameplay ideas, and Mortal Kombat Addict has his own Krypt Secrets with some of the best Mugen Mortal Kombat games. Mortal Kombat has a huge following and a strong enough background to keep the game going with all the secrets and characters already in the game but it would still be cool to see something new. Many wanted a crossover game with Street Fighter or even Killer Instinct but on its own it is still one of the top fighting games of the genre.
Kreate-a-Fighter was one of the best features from Mortal Kombat Armageddon between that and the Epic Gears and Shaders from Injustice 2 they are the perfect combination.
Update:
Dynasty has just posted New Mortal Kombat details in the form of a movie instead of the anticipated Mortal Kombat 11 game. Here they introduce a new character and a new story not necessarily what we know of Mortal Kombat. More of a spin off or a custom Mugen game, even though I was hoping for some kind of answer what happens after Armageddon I welcome any new idea and if done well it can work even though not canon (like the Japanese/Chinese relationship with Liu Kang & Kung Lao - ninja/shaolin monk brother relationship but without stereotyping it can happen right? I'm sure they will explain it like they picked which martial art or style they wanted when they were young). Mortal Kombat Rebirth pitch wasn't exactly canon either but looked good enough that we wanted to see it anyway. They did Mortal Kombat Legacy 1 & 2 instead but Mortal Kombat Rebirth I think would have worked.
New ideas sometimes keeps interest just like in the Kreate-a-Fighter post where Dynasty, Brusk Poet, SMGxPrincess and other fans game post ideas that gamers actually want as well as Borg117, Bleed, and Mortal Kombat Addict reinventing Mortal Kombat with gameplay that adds new experiences. Check out the new Mortal Kombat Movie details and see what you think as well as the Mortal Kombat Rebirth pitch and the version they actually went with Mortal Kombat Legacy 1 & 2, and check some great ideas for the new MK game in the Kreate-a-Fighter post and SMGxPrincess post below.

SMGxPrincess usually has on point information and knows what she is talking about when it comes to the industry haven’t heard anything yet so I decided to put up the best ideas and information from SMGxPrincess and Dynasty. She posted information about a Shaolin Monks 2 as the next game personally I want the new Mortal Kombat 11 so hopefully both are true or it is combination of the 2.

IS BLADE OF THE IMMORTAL THE ANSWER TO CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON?
Blade of the Immortal has gotten overall a great reception with critics and fans alike scoring in the range of 85% of 81 critics they have consistently gotten the approval needed to solidify its space as a classic and gem that everyone needs to know about. RED FACTION GUERRILLA RE-MARS-TERED AND SAINTS ROW IS BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE!
Volition earlier in the year was bought by THQ Nordic reuniting them with old Volition titles from the past like Summoner and Red Faction. If you are not familiar with the Red Faction series you are in luck Red Faction Guerrilla is being remastered and if that’s not enough Saints Row 1 and 2 are now backwards compatible on the Xbox One. MrSaintsGodzilla21 has posted 2 videos so you can see how well these two have been upgraded as well as detailed explanation.
Agents of Mayhem had mixed reviews when it came out but it was a different perspective that even though is chaotic it is different enough you won’t confuse it with a Saints Row game kind of how Saints Row the Third separated itself from being a GTA clone. Check out Agents of Mayhem on Playstation Underground and hightlights for Agents of Mayhem and 10 years of Saints Row.
Anon | Official Trailer [HD] | Netflix
Jamie Foxx has been confirmed to play Spawn in this new reboot by the comic creator and artist Todd McFarlane in association with Blumhouse Productions which made news last year with its movie Get Out. It is said that they are taking more of a horror approach, as well as Spawn not really speaking. That works good with Jason or Michael Myers but some dialog would be good I hope they rethink that. I would like to see what the official word is from Todd McFarlane himself but Spawn not saying anything doesn’t sound right to me.
Since Spawn has been anticipated by fans of the comic, movies and video games here is the History of Spawn by Variant very entertaining and knowledgeable to watch and History of the Warrior talks about the real reason Spawn wasn’t in Injustice 2 well thought out and entertaining.
WILL 2 JOKERS BE THE BRIGHT IDEA THAT WILL DO DC COMICS JUSTICE?
If you had to choose the next Joker movie to be based around the one from Batman or Suicide Squad which would you pick? Personally as a fan of Suicide Squad and wanting to see something new I think it was good news that Jared Leto was getting an opportunity to play that version of the Joker to see where the story goes as this version looks different and even acts different. But for the sake of argument Joaquinn Phoenix playing the original Joker and having this version also a standalone movie seems like the best of both worlds.
MCU Could Tackle Horror Genre According to Kevin Feige
Marvel is thinking about getting in on the horror movie action and thinking about a few characters like Man-Thing and Blade. Blade one of the more popular characters in the Marvel Comics Universe already has a trilogy out on DVD and Blu-ray but getting a revamp wouldn’t hurt and I would like to see the direction they would. There is currently a Blade television show called Blade The Series you can watch now on the CW staring Kirk Jones (Sticky Fingaz from the group Onyx)
Joaquin Phoenix has just been officially announced as the Joker for the Origin film they are making, for any fans of Batman or the Joker check the new game Batman: The Enemy Within as well some of the older Batman games like Batman: Return to Arkham.

Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within Episode 1: ‘The Enigma’ Review
Batman: Return to Arkham includes what is considered to be 2 of the best games ever made now remastered for the new generation of players on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The game comes with 2 classics Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. With the power of the Unreal Engine 4 giving it that graphical upgrade it looks better then before. Even though it has received mixed reviews it is still worth the pick up whether you are a new to the series or played it on the previous systems.

Adding information about Season 2 of The Punisher from IGN, also one of the better movies of 2017 Murder On The Oriental Express, 25 facts about Jigsaw from the Saw series and Team Spoiler.
