ok op 4 is the pining luffy fic (which i actually started before sidelining it for the pining zoro fic, lmao)! luffy's headspace is one that i find very interesting to explore because it's just so different from zoro's, and the intention was him a) figuring out his feelings and b) weighing whether to act on them because at the end of the day his crewmates are his friends, but he is still their captain. also if it was one-sided hfkjsldgb

And oh, oh Luffy’s just a fool, isn’t he. Zoro, who’d told him he’d make him slit his belly open if he got in the way of his dreams, and Luffy, who’d nodded and said yep, that sounded good. Except now he feels like he very well should have with the way it twists and burns. He’d do it too, of course. Feels like he may as well be now as Zoro turns to look at him and smiles before going back to his business like he’s none the wiser. It makes Luffy want to chew his own arm off.

6. Favorite title you used

I really love Batman for Dummies for being fun, but since that one I started last year, let's go with Neither Heir nor Spare (The Sole Survivor) for capturing the vibe.

10. What work was the quickest to write?

Probably one of the drabbles, let's say Fathers.

27. What do you listen to while writing?

I listen to a lot of instrumental music! This year I've got a playlist of mostly music from Final Fantasy VI that I've been listening to a lot.

@dustorange I'm forever going to think about how Thomas kept fresh flowers on Dick's grave, but he neglected Bruce's grave, leaving his vase full of rain water and dead flowers.

That makes what Alfred said in Justice League #23.4 hit so much harder.

"Thomas never found what he was looking for on our earth. He never found the brother he'd always wanted. The brother he knew Bruce could never be. But Dick nearly was."

And even though Thomas initially tried to blame Dick for his own death ("Dick got himself caught. This is his fault."), Alfred believed Thomas felt guilt over his inability to save Dick.

So the flowers on Dick's grave feel like a gesture of respect, affection, remembrance, and an apology all rolled into one.

i love angst but some fics are angst and other fics are too. Much. too sharp. too elegant and tragic.to be described as just “angst.” and instead of leaving you hurting deliciously they just leave you kind of empty

YESSSSS i have had it bookmarked for the longest time i truly love that there are at least a few people out there who agree talia and harvey are bruce’s most potent connections outside of his children and deserve more narrative overlap with each other

🍓 ⇢ how did you get into writing fanfiction? 

i got serious fomo from all of the good naruto fanfic i was reading and decided that i just had to get a taste of being an author.... however!!! my first ever experience with writing fanfic (but not publishing it) was when me and my best friend created warrior cat oc's and wrote about our clan (season clan) and how we became super good friends with all of the warrior cats and everyone loved our fur bc it was so shiny and soft despite us being hard core warriors who never lost a battle. we would write all of this in journals and i still have one of them to this day

🔪 ⇢ what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

oh hmmm.... i honestly have no idea! i feel like i haven't researched anything super weird that i didn't either already know or just guess. i think maybe trying to find out where all the rail roads in america go and what their schedules are is perhaps the weirdest topic i can think of! i was researching it for a fic where i focused a lot of haly and the circus, but i didn't end up using a lot of what i found akjdkjfdsk
