Can you talk about Kamiyama some? Their ref is so cool, and I’d love to learn more about them!!

YESSSS I Will talk about kamiyama... ok. so. where do I start . theyre a system of three members (dawn, hikari, dusk) (though dusk only shows up post-pokemon journey) dawn is extremely passionate and sentimental about everything ever and constantly feels emotions So Hard its painful, hikari is passive to the point of being near invisible and is the closest thing the system has to a "voice of reason" but solely for the fact that her first response to things ISNT to immediately get in a fight about it, dusk is defensive and snappy and values self-preservation and survival above all else which frequently comes into conflict with dawns priorities and selfless hero tendencies

the whole system thing is Not public information btw. everyone besides family and close friends just knows them collectively as dawn. unfortunately this means things that hikari and dusk do get credited to dawn which causes issues and problems (considering both hikari and dusk are both remarkably Un-dawnlike) and for quite the long time they have like. horrible communication between eachother so thats great. awesome

and another thing that doesnt help them At All is that theyre an extremely public figure as the hero/champion of sinnoh. so their actions are getting constantly scrutinized. fun I know right. also if I put all of the protags on a spectrum between 'their region loves them' and 'their region hates them' kamiyama would... definitely be leaning on the end of the latter. with the whole Bearing The Curse thing and looking kinda creepy and ghostlike alongside them replacing a Very beloved champion... the sinnohan general public not particularly the Biggest fans of them. and if they dont actively dislike them they likely look at them with nothing but (condescending) pity. attending the funeral of someone whos still alive etc you know

oooooohhhh you wanna tell me about the various entities haunting the solisverse characters so so badddd.......

YAAAY ENTITIES. as of right now there are 4 of them :)

cheren is haunted by sea, bianca is haunted by breeze, dawn is haunted by dusk, and ethan is haunted by the goop (name pending) (but is it really)

I talk more about sea and breeze in this post. basically they take the form of 14 year old hilbert and hilda respectively (though some parts of sea are completely see-through and the background fills the blank space in) (and also breeze is always positioned so that sunrays conveniently shine to obscure the face) and are mostly representatives for cheren and bianca's grief over their lost childhood but are also like their own thing. complicated.

dusk takes the form of dawn's 11 year old self pre-distortion but completely silhouetted and all menacing looking. dusk dwells in dawn's shadow mostly and its a representative of everything dawn (thinks) she lost in the distortion realm most importantly her humanity. it usually just looms behind dawn but if shes having A Bad Day it can speak (the others dont really speak. seabreeze do have like distorted giggles that vaguely sound like the hiltwins but thats the extent of it) and mock all of her insecurities and is generally not fun to be around

the goop!!! is a neon multicolored sludge hallucination that ethan sees when hes having a particularly bad episode. unlike the other 3 who Kind of consciously know their respective entities are a little bit strange ethan only sees his during periods where his sense of reality is already extremely unstable so he just thinks thats just another thing that happens to him. and it kind of is but also holy shit dude. the goop is a representative of.. everything?????? its multicolored and fluid because its an unstable mixture of like all of ethans issues. the goop changes forms alot and isnt humanoid alot of the time but its go to humanoid form is red as he appeared on mt silver. take a wild guess why.

dusk’s way of protecting the sys basically boils down to Push Everyone Away so when it first starts fronting it sours alot of dawn’s relationships actually pretty significantly since nobody knew it like. Wasnt. dawn atfirst

so like awesome combination when dusk gets completely frontstuck for a year because the year following dawns pkm journey is when the news cycle was the most vicious and dawn is not allowed to see any of that. soooooo

dawn is a system now :3 its comprised of dawn (host) hikari (co-host) and dusk (protector). dusk uses it/its the others use she/her. when referring to the system as a whole I’ll use they/them

hikari has been there for a good while.. shes like. the failsafe for when dawn gets overwhelmed. when that happens she takes over front but in front she doesnt do much except super basic necessities. otherwise she kinda just chills in the back

dusk only showed up post-distortion and is very defensive and paranoid and in front it kinda usually resorts to just locking itself in their room and not speaking to anyone. not. the best protector ever but its trying

all of them respond to “dawn” as a collective name mostly because they werent. very aware of eachother for a long time but they eventually start using separate names with the people that are aware of their plurality (not many) (for the most part the system thing is a close friends only typa deal)

oh wait I didnt post about the. dawndusk rework. one second

YAAAAAY HIKARI shes soooo silly... and by silly I mean [explosions]

I think because shes so. unintrusive? shes probably the one that gets learned about last even though shes been up in the brain for years longer than dusk. like her job is to make sure their body survives until one of the others take the wheel again and actually does the living and having fun part ..

shes like. Vaguely polite. generally Pleasant to be around but in such a way that nobody really. knows what her deal is. she only fronts in emergencies (atleast when dusk doesnt shove its way to the control station first) and occasionally shes the one that wakes up in the morning (before dawn starts to front) but other than that shes like. shes There. the girl youre supposed to look past ... a survival tactic more than a person ... ouuhgh

ACTUALLY I think it would be cool if it was dawns shadow… like her being half ghost or whatevers going on kinda removed her original shadow but since her entity has been disguising itself as her shadow since then nobody really notices until it starts trying to Get Her.

also I think its fun since dawn’s physical form is Mostly human, partially ghost but can make herself. More ghost I guess. but the entity would be like… mostly shadow, but can take on a partial human form if it wants to…

btw. the entity I mentioned that haunts dawn. its also her. But not really in a doppelganger kinda way but in like a other half kinda way. dawn is half dead and the other half of her mortality that got ejected from her while in the distortion world / gaining giratina's favor has grown a mind of its own (kinda) and is out to convince dawn that Actually Everyone Is Right You ARE Dead. if dawn is half dead in a glass-half-full kinda way then her entity is half dead in a glass-half-empty kinda way. yknow.

dawn after coming back from the worst dissociative episode shes had and not recalling anything from the past year of her life: haha wow crazy how time passes by so fast it felt like I wasnt even controlling my own body! why are you looking at me like that

btw dawn doesnt even find out about the sys thing until shes like. 16ish..? so her amnesia and general brainfog due to hikari and dusk’s shenanigans before that she chalks up to just like. bad memory. maybe a Little disassociation but pssssshhhh its not that serious

dawn (melody) - the Main Part of a song that people pay attention to and also usually the part of the song that comes to mind first when you think of one

hikari (harmony) - there solely to support the melody, kinda blends into the melody when youre not actively listening for it

dusk (countermelody) - while still secondary to the main melody, it can stand as its own melody, but its main purpose is also to support the melody albeit by contrasting the melody instead

omg wait. kamiyama sys is So like a song they even have different components... dawn is melody hikari is harmony and dusk is countermelody...
