I actually think that high schools should be set up more like colleges but with a little bit of extra help from teachers bc wtf is this
#my idea is 1/2 of the day should be class (4 classes per day each 1 hr long)#and the rest of the day is study hall/lunch#during study hall u can meet with teachers and get help for concepts u don’t understand and stuff#or if u want u can leave early and study at home#or go somewhere for lunch with a friend#or anything#but if you have a c or bellow in a class u are required to meet with ur teacher in order to improve ur grade#on Wednesdays u meet for 2 hr labs for sciences and 40 minute class for other subjects#(everyone takes 1-2 science per year of high school)#ares.txt#this means each class gets 2.75-4 hours of instruction per week which is less than the amt of instruction I currently get per week#(4hr / class)#but that’s to cut down on redundant/wasted time (which is practically 2 hrs a week)#yeah students would prob get more hw but because they have a solid 3 hours to complete it built in to the school day#means that they’d hv less hw at home#and since hw time isn’t chopped up like it is at school regularly it makes it more possible to get work done efficiently#and every teacher has the amount of support they need
