I honestly genuinely cannot even begin to comprehend what it's like living in America these days knowing that there's a significantly-higher-than-zero chance every person around you has a gun on or near their person and everywhere you go has a non-zero chance of you not coming home because of gun violence. Like no matter who you are or what you're doing, there's a chance of getting shot. At a gas station, at school, going to see a movie, grocery shopping, in your car, walking your dog, even sitting at home in your living room, it doesn't fucking matter, you're never safe. Doesn't matter whether or not you live a ""high risk lifestyle"" you're a potential target or victim of circumstance whose only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time - and damn, if the person with the gun is a cop they can probably pass that off as a crime and make everything your fault. I can't fucking imagine how terrifying it is to be a person living in America, never mind a person of colour or a sex worker or someone visibly queer or even someone who puts their kids on the school bus every day just praying today isn't the day they'll become a statistic. I cannot fathom it. I'm so sorry this is the world you guys live in.

Atop The Duomo

To get this view, Sarah had climbed up something like hundreds of steps until her legs went jelly. A lift was actually available but you would need to pay a little more. It was a Tuesday and the place appeared to be crowded.

Here, Sarah had managed to keep the Duomo facade verticals and nearby buildings straight by keeping her phone level and not tilted downward nor upward.
