You smooth your hands over the rough polyester of your ugly blue graduation gown. Staring ahead and starting to fidget in line to walk across the stage you felt a hand slip into yours and give a supportive squeeze. Looking up your eyes met the deep brown of your best friend, Hansol’s.
“Nervous?” he asked softly, beginning to rub circles on the back of your hand with his thumb. Your eyes drifted back to the stage and you nodded,
“What if I trip?” you muttered as the two of you moved forward in the line, the monotonous announcer continuing to read through the names of your graduating classmates. Hansol chuckled, knowing that your concern is valid, but not anything you needed to worry about. Hansol and yourself have been friends since college orientation the summer before your freshman year. The two of you were in the same group and immediately clicked. Slowly the two of you expanded your group, mostly consisting of the two of you and some guys that lived on Hansol’s dorm floor freshman year.
“Chwe Hansol” the announcer boomed over the microphone. He smiled down at you and you felt his hand slip out of yours.
***
“So does anyone have any big plans before we join the workforce?” your friend Seokmin smiled at your group’s last weekly Saturday lunch before you all went your separate ways.
“Y/N and I are going on a road trip” Hansol said nonchalantly without looking up from his menu. Joshua and Jeonghan exchanged a quick glance,
“Oh? Where to?” the latter asked.
“Dunno” you shrugged, “just taking two weeks to see where we end up” Jeonghan nodded, glancing at Joshua again.
“Sounds boring” Junhui muttered, engrossed in his phone, “ow!” he yelped as Minghao shoved his elbow into his ribs.
***
Clutching onto the straps of your duffle bag you began to bounce on the balls of your feet. You saw Hansol’s red pick up truck pull into the parking lot of your apartment complex and you slung your backpack over your left shoulder and your duffle over your right and bounded out the door. Hansol laughed as he spotted you, so clearly excited. He wordlessly took your duffle and placed it in the back of the cab behind the passenger’s seat. You set your backpack on the floor of the passenger's seat and climbed into the truck.
“Ready?” Hansol asked as he got behind the wheel. You smiled widely at him and nodded. He gave you a single nod and started the truck.
Driving with Hansol was always something you enjoyed, the two of you spent a lot of time during college just driving around. He always had new music to play for you. He was always a comfort for you, and comfortable silence, apart from the music from the speakers, took over the drive quickly.
After a few hours of driving and intermittent conversation, you felt your eyelids getting heavy. You shifted in your seat, trying to get more comfortable.
“Close your eyes, nap” Hansol said softly without looking away from the road.
“Mmm, keeping you company” you mumbled, closing your eyes and leaning your cheek on your hand.
“I’m fine, Y/N” he chuckled. You nodded, slipping into sleep quickly. Hansol looked over at your sleeping form, and feeling an odd sensation in his chest, looked back to the road.
You felt a hand on your shoulder, shaking you awake, “Y/N” you heard Hansol, your eyes fluttered open, seeing him close to you.
“Hm?” you hummed, rubbing your eye and looking up at him.
“I found a motel, they have a room for us” he told you. You nodded and picked up your backpack from the floor. Hansol already had your duffle over his shoulder and his backpack on. Once you were settled he began leading you toward the room he rented.
“Where are we?” You called to Hansol from the bathroom and squeezed some of your cleanser into your hand.
“About six hours south of your apartment,” your friend appeared in the doorway to the bathroom, now in his pajamas, and leaned against the doorframe, “I don’t know the name of the town, or what’s here”
Once the two of you were ready for bed you settled in one of the two beds in the room.
“Good night, ‘Sol” you yawned. Hansol hummed in response and shut off the light.
***
You were up before Hansol the next morning. Letting him sleep you slipped into the shower, what felt comfortable in the car the previous day was now responsible for some stiffness. You let the warm water run over your body, getting lost in the feeling. You’re not sure how long you stood there enjoying the warmth loosening your tight muscles before you heard the bathroom door swing open.
“Y/N?” you heard the sleepy voice of Hansol call out, “I’m…I just need to piss”
“Go ahead,” you replied, trying to be less awkward than your friend and beginning the process of washing your hair.
“Breakfast?” you asked, sitting on the edge of Hansol’s bed after your shower. Looking up from his phone he nodded eagerly at you,
“Please, I’m starving.”
***
Hansol and yourself didn’t stay in that town long after the meal, it was small and there wasn’t much to see beyond the amazing local breakfast cafe and your motel. The two of you have been on the road for a few hours now.
“I love this song,” Hansol mumbled, a laugh escaped your lips, “What? I do!” he scoffed at your reaction,
“I know, Hansol,” you reach across the center console to take the partially smoked joint from behind his ear, “I was the one who played you this song, remember?” He watched you from the corner of his eye place his joint between your lips and bring his zippo to the end, lighting it up.
Hansol does remember hearing this song for the first time, the crackle of your old record player in your college apartment. You looked similar to how you do now, hair tied up haphazardly, baseball cap from the university bookstore you bought that orientation day on your head. Admittedly, the hat is much more worn now. You took your single puff of his joint before passing it to him to finish off that day too.
This may be his favorite you he ever gets to see. A single blow of smoke escaping your lips. You only ever want the one, and Hansol only ever smokes his half of the joint when you start it for him. Currently, he was trying to calm his racing heart, and trying to distract himself from the fact that the joint was between your lips a few moments ago.
“Of course I do,” he took the joint between his fingers, drumming the steering wheel, “Feels different now…” he trailed off listening to the words, a year from now, we'll all be gone, all our friends will move away. Absentmindedly, he thought about how different things might be after he drops you off at your apartment in two weeks.
You watched as he blew smoke toward the window, he got this far away look in his eyes, you knew he was thinking. You knew better than to ask, Hansol was a man of few words, and if he wanted to talk about it, he would. Eyeing him you turned up the volume on the radio, you saw the corner of his mouth quirk up ever so slightly, you knew he appreciated the gesture, one of not making him talk before he was ready.
The drive droned on like this for the majority of the day, eventually the smoke stopped curling towards the window as Hansol had smoked it all away, he would need to roll more before bed. Eventually, you saw Hansol blinking furiously, trying to stay awake.
“‘Sol” you reached out to touch his arm, “Maybe we should take a break” he jumped slightly at your touch, so focused on the road.
“Where…” he chuckled, once he had regained his calm demeanor, “we’re in the middle of nowhere” you only shrugged in response,
“Pull over, it doesn’t matter” and soon the impenetrable line of trees on the side of the road gave way to an open field. Hansol pulled his truck off the road matting down the grass in its wake, he drove close to the tree line, worried about getting in trouble if someone saw the car from the road. Once the truck was safely in park you watched Hansol reach to the back of the cab and tugged a few blankets toward you two. Wordlessly he opened his door and moved toward the bed of the truck.
Turning around you watched him spread the blankets in the bed through the back window. He poked his tongue through his teeth in concentration, when he was finished he hopped off the bed and moved toward your side of the truck. You scrambled to look nonchalant, and as if you totally were not watching him, a ghost of a smile playing at your lips.
“C’mon then” he opened up your door. Following him out to the back he helped you up. Laying on your back you felt the plush of the blankets and watched Hansol as he settled down next to you. Once he was comfortable you turned your eyes to the sky and covered your eyes with your forearm. The hand nearest to Hansol was left in its place, unbeknownst to you, his pinky inched closer, trying to build the confidence to take the plunge.
You woke up to a cool drop of water plopping directly onto your forehead. When did you fall asleep? Barely having the time to wonder before the skies open up and begin to drench Hansol and yourself.
“Hansol!” you sat up and shook his shoulders, “Hansol!” his eyes fluttered open slowly, somehow for a moment you forgot the rain was beating down on you as you watched his eyes soften from the confusion they held when he first woke. The softness he usually works so hard to shield you from was on full display, you wanted to stay in this fleeting moment forever, but you realized just as quickly as the gaze softened it turned panicked.
“Oh my God!” he sat up, almost bumping his head on your nose, “it’s pouring” he stated almost too simply. The two of you worked to heave the now soaking blankets out of the bed of the truck and into the back of the cab.
Hansol slams his door shut and throws his head back against the rest behind him. He pushes a hand through his now sopping wet hair. Turning to look toward him you catch his eyes taking in his appearance. After a few seconds of holding eye contact the two of you burst into a fit of laughter.
The drooping fan blades cut through the stale hot air on the ceiling of the motel about thirty miles from where you got caught in the storm. You were sprawled out on the bed looking up at the fan, finally feeling warm now that you were able to change out of your wet clothes.
Hansol was still down in the lobby, trying to talk the motel manager into letting him use their large driers for the blankets. Finally, you heard the door open and the squish of socks inside wet shoes approach you.
“One bed?” Hansol asked. You propped yourself up on your elbows, looking him up and down, stifling another bout of laughter at his state of disheveledness.
“That’s kind of what happens when you take a trip without a plan” you pointed out, letting yourself smile so he knew you were joking. Hansol rolled his eyes, a lazy smile tugging at his lips.
“I guess you’re right” the softness in his eyes returns for a moment, before he remembered he was dripping on the floor, “I’m gonna change…” you flopped back on the bed and resumed the exhilarating activity of watching the blades of the fan lazily cutting the air.
The bathroom door clicked closed and you heard Hansol’s muffled sigh. Imagining him hanging his wet clothes next to yours over the bar of the shower you tried to ignore the heat rising in your cheeks.
“I’ll sleep on the floor” Hansol stated, startling you, you were too deep in thought to notice him. You watched as he busied himself with taking out his phone charger.
“No” you sat up again, “there’s no need to do that, it’s not like we didn’t fall asleep next to each other earlier” you watched him turn to you, greedily taking in his form, his baggy sweats and his t-shirt, “plus this floor is more than likely disgusting”
“Good point” he smiled at you, moving toward what he decided is his side of the bed, the side closest to the door. The two of you settle under the covers and Hansol clicks off the lamp on his side, “Goodnight Y/N” he mutters
“Goodnight ‘Sol” your back was turned to him, but your eyes were stuck open, feeling the adrenaline of an invisible line being crossed.
***
“Do you think everyone in this town is this stupid?” Hansol asked incredulously as the car in front of you break checked him.
“Probably,” you kicked your feet up on his dashboard, “I bet they teach them all to do this at driver’s ed, to cut people off when they’re from out of town” Hansol laughed at your made up story,
“We need to find a city I think” he muttered, “I’m a little tired of motels and small towns” Nodding in agreement you reached for the joint behind his ear, freshly rolled before you left this morning, and tried to not think about the way that his tongue darts out to wet his lips. Hansol slowed at the red light and you felt his heavy gaze as you lit the joint. You had to all but hold yourself down so you didn’t squirm under the sudden attention, inhaling and blowing the smoke toward the window. Meeting his eyes you placed the joint between his lips as the light turned green.
***
“We have no rooms that will accommodate you” the snobby hotel clerk sneers at you from behind the desk. The two of you had found a city six hours west of where you started this morning, and the hotel you decided to try evidently had standards, ones that your leggings and Hansol’s basketball shorts didn’t meet. You opened your mouth to argue, but Hansol beat you to it,
“Look,” he started, surprising you, “it’s our honeymoon,” you had to stop yourself from staring at him like he had grown a second head, “the hotel we had reserved, they double booked us, it doesn’t need to be your best, just a room.” The clerk sighed and began typing furiously clicking through his computer, you took the opportunity to glance at Hansol, questions evident on your face. He merely shrugged with a lopsided smirk painting his face.
“We had a last minute cancellation…” the clerk muttered reluctantly, once again taking in the state of your apparel, “Names please?”
“Vernon and, “ he looked at you expectantly, after no less than a solid 15 seconds of panic you mustered up,
“Kate”
“Vernon and Kate Chwe” Hansol affirmed.
“Well congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Chwe” the man behind the desk offered as he held out a pair of room keys and you had to ignore the way your stomach flips at the sound of that.
The elevator dings and opens its doors to you. Quietly, you both get inside and as the doors close, and not a second sooner you are turning to your friend,
“What the Hell, Hansol?” you whisper urgently, “why—how did you lie like that?”
“You don’t spend as much time as I do with Yoon Jeonghan and not learn anything,” he shrugs, “it got us a room, didn’t it Kate?”
As soon as the door opened to your hotel room you dropped your bag on the floor and rushed to the window. The view overlooking the city was surely better in the other more expensive rooms but this was good enough for you. Hansol leaned against the wall behind you and watched as you perched yourself in the window sill.
The sun was just starting to set and you were determined to watch it disappear behind the skyscrapers. Hansol folded his arms over his chest, acutely aware that the two of you had already been on this trip for almost a week. He tries not to let the reality of life after college, after the trip hit him square in the chest, not now, not when you were so intently watching the slow descent of the sun from the window in the hotel room he lied his way into. Any of his friends would tell you that this was out of character, in any other situation Hansol is almost brutally honest, but if they knew it was for you, they wouldn’t bat an eye.
Hansol genuinely lost track of time just watching you get lost in your world, before he knew it the stars were twinkling overhead and the sun was long gone.
“I think we should go out” you announced without turning away from the window, Hansol’s heart jumped into his throat,
“What?!” he sputtered, trying to process what you just said to him.
“There are clubs here I’m sure,” you turned to him, “we should go out tonight” at your clarification Hansol let out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding.
***
Clubbing wasn’t really Hansol’s scene, and you knew that, but you were hoping to help him break out of whatever anxiety fueled funk he had been in for almost the entire trip. You saw the spark in his eyes a bit back at the hotel when he scored a room. However, almost as soon as the two of you arrived at the club, he parked himself in a secluded corner near the bar and has been nursing a whiskey for the better part of an hour. Currently, you could feel his gaze boring into the back of your head as you were talking to someone on the dance floor.
“I’ve never seen you around here,” he puts a hand on your arm and leans into your ear so you could hear him over the music, “I frequent this spot, what brings you in?” you repressed a scoff, there’s no way this guy memorizes everyone coming to this club in this huge city.
“Oh” you back up slightly, “I’m just on a road trip and passing through” he followed you as you tried to step away from him, trying to stay in close proximity with you.
“Let me show you a good time then,” he put his hand back on your arm and the other on your hip. Unbeknownst to you, behind you Hansol had downed the rest of his drink. You felt a pair of arms snake around your waist and move you out of the man’s grasp. Looking up you saw Hansol, his jaw squarely set.
“Can I help you?” He nearly spat. You saw the other man’s eyes take in Hansol and then moved to rake over your body, “Speak up” Hansol glared.
“I was talking with her,” the man crossed his arms.
“And now” Hansol started turning you toward the exit, “you’re not” you melted into Hansol’s side and tried to just leave.
“Who are you anyway?” the man called, catching Hansol’s arm, “You didn’t even ask her if she wanted to leave with you.” Hansol’s eyes drifted down to where the man had ahold of him,
“I’m her husband,” he went to shake himself out of his grip but he was holding on tight, “I suggest you let go” the man’s hand dropped, “Good choice” and Hansol was sweeping you out of the building.
The cool air of the summer night bloomed in your lungs as you breathed more easily out on the street. Hansol has not let go of your waist, and you weren’t entirely sure if you wanted him to, after the alcohol and the interaction you had moments ago. “Are you okay?” Hansol asked, taking a step back from you, planting his hands on your hips, his eyes searching yours in a panic.
“I’m okay” you breathed, “but….thank you for stepping in when you did” He smiled at you, breathing a sigh of relief.
“Let’s go” he slipped his hand in yours and intertwined your fingers, so no one could question him again.
The walk home was…strange, to say the least. Hansol had never kept his hand in yours longer than it took to give it a reassuring squeeze in the several years the two of you have been friends. In addition to this, you never once felt like you wanted him to let go. You never questioned his assertion that he is your husband back at the club, that’s what he told the hotel, so might as well continue that, right?
In the elevator up to your room things only got stranger, Hansol wrapped his arms around your waist again, pressed the button for your floor, and unwrapped himself from you and stood at the opposite side of the small room, staring at you.
Entering your hotel room you watched Hansol close the door behind you. He took a deep breath and moved toward you, you stayed still, wondering what was about to happen. He cupped your cheek in his hand, setting a swarm of butterflies loose in your stomach.
“I think” he whispered, “if it’s okay with you, while we’re here, we should play pretend” his eyes searched yours again as his thumb moved to rest on your chin. You nodded, however added,
“Hansol…we, we’re friends…” your breath hitched as he applied pressure on your chin with his thumb,
“Ah” he watched your mouth open at his request, “but we’re Vernon and Kate here, we just got married, babe” the pet name rolled off his tongue so easily as he got impossibly closer to you and spit into your now open mouth, you almost recoiled as his action, before realizing he was right. What was there to lose at this point? You closed your mouth and swallowed without him having to ask, which earned you a groan, “God, what a good girl, I didn’t even have to ask…” and then his mouth was on yours, falling into rhythm as if this was something that happened all the time.
Your arms wrapped around his shoulders and your fingers toyed with the hair at the nape of his neck. His tongue swiped your bottom lip, requesting access that you swiftly granted. His tongue explored your mouth with a fervor that if you were less distracted would make you wonder how long he has waited for this moment. There was no time for thoughts like that, he was backing you toward the bed. He sat you down on the edge with your legs dangling off, and broke the kiss. Settling on the floor between your knees he began to help you remove your shoes, and then your pants, and he began to work towards your shirt before you cut him off with a whine. He looked up at you quizzically.
“Not fair,” you stated, “you’re still fully clothed.”
“Earn it” he chuckled, and reached between your legs to lay the pads of his fingers on your clothed cunt, “shouldn’t be too hard, considering you’re so wet for me already,” which earned him the deepest blush he has ever seen gracing your cheeks. He began slow ruminations on your clit over your underwear, your hips bucking involuntarily at the stimulation, “that’s right” he nearly growled. What you’ve learned about Hansol over the last several years is that he is a patient man, he doesn’t need to rush, but you really wish he would right about now. Another whine escaped your lips trying to egg him on.
Evidently, it worked because he began to peel your ruined panties away from your dripping heat, “God babe, you’re beautiful, all ready for me” he lined himself up and gathered up his saliva and spit into your already wet cunt. He used the mixture of wetness between your legs to ease two fingers inside of you, moaning at the sensation of being filled, your eyes screwed shut. The pad of his thumb found your clit and he began to circle the bundle of nerves meticulously. “Remember what you’re working for” he reminded you, picking up his pace. You felt the coil in your stomach begin to tighten as you heard his fingers working in your pussy.
“I’m…” you cut yourself off with a moan as Hansol curled his fingers inside you to inch you closer to your approaching high.
“Let go” was all you needed for the coil to snap and white hot pleasure overtook your senses. “That’s it, you did so well for me” you heard Hansol’s soothing voice as you were coming down. Your eyes fluttered open as he was standing up from between your legs and pulling his shirt over his head.
“Here,” you sat up and reached for his belt, “I can help” you added, unhooking the belt and pulling his pants and his boxers down. You watched as his cock sprung free, hard and leaking already. Pulling him closer by his hips you watched his face intently, a mix of lust and anticipation. You took him in your hand and he let out a hiss, “You need it that badly?” At your comment he took a handful of your hair and pulled it so you were looking up at him and he gave you a warning look. You nodded in understanding and gave his cock a few pumps before leaning down. You took the tip into your mouth and swirled your tongue around his slit, taking in the precum that had already mixed with your saliva.
“Let me” he thrusted experimentally. You hollowed out your cheeks and sunk your lips further down, in a way letting him know he could use your mouth to get off. He grunted and thrusted into your mouth at a bit of a rushed pace, it was obvious that he was wound up tight. “Good girl, letting me use her, fuck” tears pricked at the corners of your eyes but you were determined. Hansol’s thrusts became sloppy as the tears began to stream down your cheeks, using the hand that was still in your hair he pulled you off his dick, “you have another one in you” he stated as he lay you down on the bed.
He hovered over you and wiped your tears with his thumb, “you okay?” he asked quietly, you nodded, not being able to form words at the moment. “Good” he smiled down at you, you felt him tease his cock head through your folds. You flinched from the sensitivity. Slowly, he eased into you. Simultaneously, you both moaned at the sensation, which made you smile at each other, like this was just another normal night in your friendship, even though that was so far from the truth.
After letting you adjust to his size he began to thrust slowly in and out of you. “I won’t last long, you did too well…” he choked out, your pussy clenching around him at the continued praise. His thrusts again became erratic and you knew he was close. Somehow, you were impossibly close as well, chasing a high that snuck up on you. You felt every delicious drag of his cock on your walls before you felt Hansol pull out and his white ropes shot into your stomach as your high crashed into you.
Hansol pushed his sweat drenched hair off his forehead. The two of you stared at each other for a few fleeting moments, realizing the gravity of what just happened, before silently agreeing that you will figure all of that out later. He climbed out of the bed and hurried to the bathroom and returned moments later with a warm towel and a glass of water.
“Are you okay?” he asked again as he was gently wiping himself off of your stomach.
“Yes,” you assured him, “I am surprisingly calm about what just happened” he smiled up at you before leaning down to kiss your now clean stomach.
***
Hansol and yourself didn’t talk about that night for the next several days, but nothing went back to normal either. He was holding your hand, he was giving you kisses, and right now he had his hand on your thigh as you left that city behind. Hansol insisted you stay there for a few more days than you had originally planned, you had a sneaking suspicion as to why but you decided not to push it. You weren’t one to complain, especially when you were getting pleased nearly every night.
“Take me to see the ocean” you piped up suddenly.
“What?” Hansol laughed looking over at you quickly before returning his eyes to the road.
“Sounds like a good way to end this little adventure” you shrugged. You felt Hansol freeze up for a moment before recovering.
“Right” he muttered, “Let’s get you to the ocean,” he said, squeezing your thigh.
***
You watched out the window as the ocean came into view on your side, you had been to the ocean once in your life, but it seemed important to see it now for some reason. Seeing something so grand felt like a great way to begin your new life in the next few days, you were nervous, but so excited. You watched as Hansol parked the truck in a public beach access parking lot and turned to you.
“Ready?” he smiled
“Ready” you smiled back. You walked hand in hand over the sand and the sea breeze catching your hair. It was early evening by the time you had found your way here so it was cooling down as the sun was setting.
Hansol spread one of the blankets from the truck over the sand, close enough to see the waves but not close enough that it would get soaked from a rogue wave. You sat down and Hansol slotted himself behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist.
You don’t know how long you sat, in quiet contemplation, neither one of you wanting to break whatever spell settled over you two over the last week or so. “Hansol-” you started,
“Vernon” he tried to correct.
“No,” you said firmly, “Hansol, what are we doing?”
“Two more days,” he sighed, “Just…give me two more days, I swear you’ll get back in time” he rested his chin on your shoulder, waiting for your response.
“Two more days, and I get to call you Hansol”
“Deal”
***
You left the beach headed for home two days later, as promised. Hansol drove quietly away from whatever the last few weeks were between you, his hands were firmly on the wheel, he hadn’t touched you at all today. It’s as if with your kiss goodnight the illusion was broken and you were back to reality. You weren’t sure which was better for you, living like Hansol was your boyfriend or having him as your best friend again. Then again, you weren’t sure why you couldn’t have both honestly.
About an hour into your drive Hansol took the joint out from behind his ear and tried to pass it to you wordlessly.
“Oh, I can’t” you told him, “I start my job next week and they told me I need to pass a drug test before my first day” Hansol dropped the joint, pulled over, and flung open his door, “Hansol?! What the fuck are you doing?” You followed him into the woods on the side of the road, “Hansol!” you caught his arm and pulled him so he was facing you, there were tears in his eyes.
“God I am so stupid” he wiped his eyes furiously with the back of his hand.
“Hansol what’s going on” your voice softened at the sight of his tears, you wanted so desperately to wipe them away, but thought better of it due to the nature of the situation.
“Y/N” this is the first time he has used your real name, not a pet name or Kate, in several days, it almost felt foreign to your ears, “this is it! You’re gone after this, you’ll be working and busy, I’ll have lost you and everyone I care about” he threw his head back, looking at the sky, “I have no plans, no job, and no friends,” he looks back down at you, “and you can’t even smoke my weed”
“Hansol…I-” you tried.
“No it’s true, everyone is gone, Hell, some of the guys have moved across the country, I’ll be lucky if I ever see Seungkwan again” Hansol was crying now. “And I know this is a great opportunity for him, and for you, I’m so proud of all of you, but what about me, what am I supposed to do, Y/N?” he pressed the heels of his hands into his eyes, you could tell he felt stupid about crying and feeling sorry for himself.
“Move in with me” you blurted out, without really thinking, but it felt like a logical thing to say. You watched as he pulled his hands away from his eyes,
“What?”
“You heard me,” you moved closer to him and rubbed his arms with your hands, “move in with me”
“Like…as friends or-” “No” you cut him off, “absolutely not as friends,” it was his turn to cut you off, he closed the short distance between you and pressed his lips firmly to yours.

He watches as you grab your pillow and blanket from the bed, then angrily stomp into the living room.
When he hears the door slam, he sinks to the ground in a sigh.
He sits there, in silence for a few minutes, just to calm himself down, before anxiously tiptoeing into the living room, and approaching you.
“How about, I take the couch, and you go take the bed? I know your mad at me, and I feel bad, but I’d feel way worse if you wake up tomorrow with a sore back from this couch.”
You silently agree, while getting up from the couch to hand him the pillow and blanket.
“We’ll talk tomorrow morning?”
You reply with only a nod, too tired and overwhelmed to do much else.
The bed is a lot more comfortable than the couch, it’s a good thing you have a boyfriend who cares enough to make that trade for you.
An hour later, Jisung is still lying on the couch, staring up at the ceiling. It's not comfortable at all, and he can feel every spring poking into his back. He rolls around, doing anything he can to try to get comfortable, but it is no use.
“Gah!”
He groans quietly to himself, and he eventually picks himself up off of the couch and walks to the bedroom.
A strong arm wraps around your waist. Still angry, but you don’t fight it.
“The couch is uncomfortable. I’d rather be here with you. I love you”
In the morning the fight is forgotten, and all is well in quokkaville.

He can’t sleep without you.
He’ll lay alone in the guest bedroom for an hour or two, scared to anger you more.
At 3am he finally sneaks into the bed beside you.
(If you’re asleep, he will quietly climb under the covers, and wrap you in his arms, very careful not to wake you up.)
If you are awake he just sits there, looking at you.
His hand gently rubs up an down your shoulder.
You are stubborn, and refuse to face him.
“Y/n i’m sorry… okay?”
“I forgot our date I know, I’ve just been so caught up with work… and I know that’s not an excuse, it’s my fault for forgetting. but I promise it won’t happen again, my love. I’m so sorry”
He practically begs you to forgive him
“Please darling… forgive me. I love you, and I can’t stand you being angry at me. I’ll do anything to make it up to you. I’ll take you out tomorrow, and the day after, and every day after that. I’ll never forget a date again. I’ll even take friday off of work, and we can spend the whole day together!”
He rambles on and on, just trying to convince you to look at him.
But he stop’s suddenly when he sees your shoulder shake slightly, and he hears a sniffle.
“Oh god, oh no. Are you crying? Y/n I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to!”
He holds your waist tightly and kisses your neck, doing anything he can to comfort you.
“i just feel like, i’m not a priority anymore. we haven’t gone out in a month.” you speak through sniffles, and choked sobs.
“No no no! Y/n you are always my number one! I’ve just been really busy with this new comeback, i haven’t had much time to think about really anything else. But i’m sorry, truly. I never want you to feel unloved. You are, and will always be, the most important thing to me, my love.”
He hugs you, and rocks you slowly off to sleep. All is well, all is forgiven, all there is, is love, between you.

“I’m done!! I’m sleeping in the guest room. We’ll finish this tomorrow!” you finally snap, then storm out of the living room.
Stubborn x equally as stubborn, is your relationship trope. You both know that this fight won’t end, until one of you puts your pride aside, to start the apologies.
Tonight, you refuse to be that person.
The guest bedroom is cold and lonely, you spend the whole night wondering how Seungmin is doing… He’s probably having a fantastic time in the big bed all to himself…
Your prediction couldn’t be any less correct.
Seungmin is eating himself up inside with guilt, he can’t sleep any more than you can.
Part of him is glad that you aren’t in the same room, since he always wants to appear strong infront of you. He would never want you to find him weak and crying like he is now..
The night is long, and uncomfortable, and cold, and neither of you can sleep.
After an hour or so, of suffering, Seungmin gives into the pain, and knocks on the guest bedroom door.
Angrily, you ignore him, but he enters anyways.
You look like a mess, your hair is a rats nest from hoe much you’ve tossed and turned, your face is all red and puffy from crying.
Without speaking, he crawls into the bed beside you, wrapping his arms around your torso.
He gives you no space to refuse, but it’s not like you’d want to anyways…
“Let’s just stop fighting. I love you. Goodnight y/nnie”

“I’m sleeping on the couch tonight”
His disappointed, quiet tone, hurts you even more that it would’ve if he had yelled it.
Before you have any time to rebut, he leaves the bedroom, closing the door behind him.
“Jeongin!!” he ignores your call.
He sets up the couch to the best of his ability, but it is anything but comfortable.
He lays in silence staring at the ceiling for what feels like an eternity, till he hears your footsteps echo down the hall.
Your sniffles break him, but he wants to remain strong. He knows that looking at you will break him, so he pretends to be asleep.
You kneel beside him, on the floor, and gently stroke his arm.
“Innie?”
He doesn’t reply initially, keeping his eyes closed to stay in character. But hearing your sniffles breaks him.
“Yeah?”
“Please come to bed. We don’t have to talk, we can stay on opposite sides of the bed. I just need you with me.” you beg.
Hearing this hurts him. He tries his hardest to avoid eye contact, knowing that he will instantly forgive you, if he even so much as looks at your face.
“Okay, i’ll come. I just need some time. We’ll talk tomorrow, alright?”
He then gets off of the couch, slowly walking to the bedroom. He climbs into his side of the bed, and you follow after.
You lay, facing away from eachother. Both wide awake, and unable to sleep.
There’s no way to prevent the tears that fall from your eyes, and you begin to choke back sobs. You try your best to stay quiet, to allow Jeongin peace and quiet. But of course, he can hear you.
As much as he wants to pretend he’s asleep, he feels bad seeing you like this. It’s clear that the guilt is eating you up inside, and it’s making him feel even worse.
Carefully, he wraps his arm around your waist, and you can feel his breath on your neck.
“Sshhh, lovely.. It’s okay. I am mad, but we’ll figure it out tomorrow. I still love you. Now go to sleep”

Warning: Contains Smut. I dunno how to feel about this one honestly, it was written in a haze of sleep deprivation and absence of coffee; but I still hope you enjoy!
The X-Mansion was unusually quiet that afternoon, a rare occurrence that most of the team appreciated. With no missions on the horizon and the younger students out on a field trip, the mansion basked in an almost eerie calm. That is, until Remy Lebeau strolled into the kitchen, whistling a tune with his typical swagger, and found you rummaging through the fridge.
“Mon dieu, chérie, y’ coulda left me somethin’ to eat,” Remy drawled, leaning casually against the counter.
You didn’t even glance back at him, too focused on your hunt for leftovers. “If you weren’t always late, you’d have something left,” you shot back, finally pulling out a container of pasta. “Besides, you’re lucky I didn’t eat this too.”
He smirked, staring at you with those infuriatingly charming red-on-black eyes. “Lucky, huh? I’d call it somethin’ else, but I ain’t here to argue semantics.”
You turned to face him, crossing your arms over your chest. “Oh really? Because that’s all you seem to be good at.”
“Non, non, I’m good at plenty o’ things, chérie. You just never give me a chance t’ show you.” He winked, and you felt a familiar heat crawl up your neck—annoyance, definitely annoyance.
“You know what, Remy? You could charm the devil himself, but it won’t work on me,” you retorted, grabbing a fork and digging into the pasta defiantly.
“Is that a challenge, chérie?” Remy leaned in closer, his voice dropping to that low, teasing tone that always made your heart skip a beat, not that you’d ever admit it.
“You wish,” you muttered around a mouthful of food.
Before he could reply, Storm walked into the kitchen, her eyes flicking between the two of you with an amused smile. “Am I interrupting something?” she asked, though her tone suggested she already knew the answer. You and Remy had been at each other’s throats for years. From the moment you first joined the team, there was something about him that rubbed you the wrong way. Maybe it was his cocky attitude, the way he sauntered into every room like he owned the place, or the way he always had some snarky comment ready no matter what you said. It didn’t help that he was infuriatingly charming, either—always ready with a flirtatious quip, especially when you were at your most exasperated.
But as the years went by, something shifted. What started as irritation evolved into something more complex, something you couldn’t quite put your finger on. It was as if every argument, every sarcastic exchange, was building something between you—a tension that neither of you could deny, no matter how much you tried to ignore it.
You’d find yourself lying awake at night, replaying your latest spat with him in your head, only to realize that you weren’t just angry—you were excited. You started to notice the way his eyes sparkled when he got under your skin, or how his voice softened ever so slightly when the banter got too heated. It was maddening, really, how much he affected you, and how you couldn’t seem to stop thinking about him, even when you wanted nothing more than to forget he existed.
The worst part was, you knew he felt it too. You could see it in the way he looked at you when he thought you weren’t paying attention, or in the way he’d linger just a little too long in a room after everyone else had left, as if waiting for you to say something—anything—that might break the tension. And yet, you both kept dancing around it, neither one willing to be the first to admit that the fiery arguments weren’t just arguments anymore.
That morning in the kitchen was just the latest in a long string of these encounters. Five years of sniping at each other, of pretending that the growing heat between you was just frustration, not something deeper, something almost… intoxicating.
“Just tryin’ t’ get somethin’ t’ eat, Stormy,” Remy said with that familiar grin, leaning casually against the counter. You could feel the weight of his gaze even as you busied yourself with your breakfast, trying to ignore the way your heart sped up whenever he was near.
Storm raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying his innocent act. “And are you succeeding?”
“Not yet, but y’know, she likes t’ make it difficult,” he replied, his grin widening as he glanced at you.
You scoffed, rolling your eyes even as your pulse quickened. “If by ‘difficult’ you mean not letting you steal my food, then sure.”
Storm chuckled, shaking her head. “You two are impossible.”
“We’re not the problem here,” you insisted, but even as you said it, you noticed the knowing look Storm gave Remy. He just shrugged, clearly enjoying this little game far too much.
“Whatever you say,” Storm replied, her tone light but her eyes twinkling with something you couldn’t quite place. “Just... try not to burn the kitchen down, alright?” With that, she left the room, leaving you alone with Remy again.
“She’s got a point, y’know,” Remy said after a moment, his voice taking on that maddeningly smooth tone that always seemed to get under your skin. “We do seem t’ have a bit of a... fiery relationship.”
You glared at him, refusing to let him see just how much his words affected you. “Keep dreaming, Lebeau.”
“I don’t need t’ dream, chérie. I got all I need right here,” he replied, his voice softening in a way that made your stomach do flips.
And there it was again—those words that left you momentarily speechless, thrown off balance by the sudden shift in his tone. For a moment, you didn’t have a snappy comeback, which was rare. Instead, you just stared at him, trying to figure out if he was serious or just messing with you.
Before you could decide, Jubilee burst into the kitchen, her usual energy crackling around her like static electricity. “Hey, have you guys seen—oh, never mind, found them!” she said, her eyes darting between you and Remy. “You two arguing again?”
“Not argu—“ you started, but Remy cut you off.
“Just a lil’ friendly banter,” he said with a wink in your direction.
Jubilee sighed dramatically, throwing her hands up in exasperation. “You two need to just kiss already and get it over with.”
You almost choked on your pasta, your eyes widening in shock. “What?!” you spluttered, while Remy just laughed, clearly enjoying your discomfort.
“See, even Jubilee agrees,” he teased, leaning in closer to you, his breath warm against your ear. The proximity sent a shiver down your spine, and you had to fight to keep your voice steady.
You pushed him away, your heart pounding in your chest. “In your dreams, Lebeau.”
“Maybe so, but y’know, dreams do come true sometimes,” he murmured, that infuriating grin still firmly in place. You wished you could wipe it off his face—preferably with your fist, but you knew that would probably just make him laugh harder.
Jubilee just rolled her eyes, clearly unimpressed by your continued denial. “Whatever, keep denying it. But everyone knows you’re totally into each other.”
You opened your mouth to protest, but the words caught in your throat. Because the truth was, part of you already knew she was right. You’d been fighting it for years, but deep down, you couldn’t deny it any longer: you were falling for Remy LeBeau, and that scared you more than any mission or enemy ever could.
But if you were falling, you sure as hell weren’t going to let him know that. Not yet, anyway.
“Everyone’s wrong,” you snapped, but the words felt hollow even to you.
Remy just chuckled, his eyes never leaving yours. “We’ll see ‘bout that, chérie.”
As Jubilee left the kitchen, you found yourself alone with him again, and for once, the silence was more uncomfortable than the arguing. You could feel his gaze on you, and it made your skin tingle in a way that was more than just irritation. “No we won’t,” You said simply, turning on your heel and walking out.
The next morning, you were in the Danger Room, running through a solo training session. You needed to clear your head, to burn off the frustration that had been gnawing at you ever since that conversation with Remy. But as you moved through the simulation, dodging holographic enemies and firing off energy blasts, you couldn’t shake the feeling that you were being watched.
“Y’know, chérie, y’coulda asked me t’ join,” a familiar voice drawled from the observation deck.
You gritted your teeth, not even pausing as you executed a perfect roundhouse kick to one of the holograms. “I don’t need your help, Remy,” you replied, your voice clipped.
“Didn’t say y’ did. Just thought y’ might enjoy some company,” he said, his tone light and teasing.
“Well, I don’t,” you snapped, launching another energy blast that obliterated a row of targets. “And I’d appreciate it if you stopped watching me.”
“Can’t help it, chérie. Y’ too fascinatin’ t’ ignore.”
“Oh, give me a break,” you muttered under your breath, but your focus slipped for just a second, and one of the holograms managed to get a hit in, knocking you off balance.
Before you could recover, Remy was beside you, his staff spinning in a blur as he took out the remaining enemies. “Y’ gotta keep your guard up, ma chère. Otherwise, y’ might get hurt.”
You pushed yourself to your feet, glaring at him. “I had it under control.”
“I’m sure y’ did,” he said, that damn smirk still on his face. “But it doesn’t hurt t’ have a lil’ backup.”
“I don’t need backup,” you snapped, brushing past him. “And I don’t need you butting in every time you think I’m struggling.”
“Who said anythin’ ‘bout strugglin’?” Remy asked, following you as you stormed out of the Danger Room. “Just tryin’ t’ help.”
“Well, you’re not helping,” you shot back, rounding on him. “You’re just... you’re just being annoying!”
Remy raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by your outburst. “Annoyin’, huh? That’s a new one.”
You crossed your arms over your chest, trying to ignore the way his eyes sparkled with amusement. “Yes, annoying. You’re always there, always making these stupid comments, always... just always in my space!”
His grin widened. “Y’ don’t like me in your space, chérie?”
“No!” you snapped, but even as you said it, you knew it wasn’t entirely true. The truth was, Remy being close to you made you feel things you didn’t want to feel, things that made your heart race and your thoughts scatter. And that scared you.
“Well, that’s a shame,” Remy said, leaning in closer, his voice dropping to that low, smooth tone that always made your pulse quicken. “’Cause I like bein’ in your space.”
You took a step back, trying to create some distance between you. “Well, I don’t. So back off, Lebeau.”
He didn’t move, just watched you with that infuriatingly calm expression. “Y’ sure ‘bout that, chérie? ‘Cause from where I’m standin’, it looks like y’ don’t mind it so much.”
Your jaw clenched, and you could feel your temper rising again. “You’re impossible, you know that?”
“Maybe,” he admitted with a shrug. “But y’ like a challenge, don’t y’?”
You glared at him, frustration bubbling over. “This isn’t a game, Remy. You can’t just... just flirt your way out of everything!”
“Who said I was flirtin’?” he asked, his tone suddenly serious.
You blinked, thrown off by the change in his demeanor. “What?”
“Maybe I’m just tryin’ t’ get t’ know y’ better, chérie. Maybe I’m tired o’ all the fightin’.”
You scoffed, crossing your arms tighter over your chest. “You’re the one who always starts it!”
“Non, I just finish it,” he corrected, his voice softening. “But maybe it’s time we stop all this fightin’ and start talkin’.”
You stared at him, your heart pounding in your chest. “Talking? About what?”
“About us,” he said simply.
The word hung in the air between you, heavy with implications. Us. You and Remy. It was something you’d never let yourself think about seriously, but now that it was out there, you couldn’t ignore it.
“Remy, I...” You trailed off, unsure of what to say, how to even begin to address the tangled mess of emotions this man stirred up in you.
But before you could figure it out, Remy took a step closer, closing the distance between you. “Y’ don’t have t’ say anythin’, chérie,” he murmured, his voice low and soothing. “Just... think ‘bout it.”
You swallowed hard, your heart racing as he reached out to gently brush a strand of hair behind your ear. The gesture was so tender, so unlike the usual banter between you, that it sent a shiver down your spine.
“I’ll be waitin’,” he added, his breath warm against your skin, before he finally stepped back, giving you the space you so desperately needed.
As he turned and walked away, you let out a breath you didn’t realize you’d been holding. Your mind was a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts and emotions, and for the first time in a long time, you didn’t know what to do.
Because as much as you wanted to dismiss Remy’s words, as much as you wanted to pretend that nothing had changed, you couldn’t. Not anymore. Not after he’d so easily slipped past the walls you’d built around your heart.
And that scared you more than anything else.
The next few days were a blur of awkward encounters and tense silences. You avoided Remy as much as possible, but it seemed like the universe had other plans. No matter where you went, he was there—at breakfast, during training, in the hallways. And every time you saw him, you felt that same confusing mix of anger and something else, something that made your heart race and your palms sweat.
It was driving you insane.
Finally, after a particularly grueling Danger Room session, you couldn’t take it anymore. You stormed into the rec room, where Remy was lounging on the couch, casually shuffling a deck of cards. He looked up as you entered, his expression immediately shifting to one of concern.
“Y’ look like y’ got somethin’ on your mind, chérie,” he said, setting the cards aside.
“You think?” you snapped, pacing back and forth in front of him. “You’ve been driving me crazy, Remy!”
He raised an eyebrow. “How so?”
“How so?” you repeated incredulously, stopping to glare at him. “You’re always there, always saying these things, always... just always around! It’s like I can’t get away from you!”
Remy’s expression softened, and he leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. “Maybe that’s ‘cause I don’t want y’ t’ get away from me.”
You froze, his words hitting you like a punch to the gut. “What?”
“Y’ heard me,” he said, his voice calm but firm. “I’m tired o’ playin’ games. Tired o’ pretendin’ like there ain’t somethin’ real between us.”
You stared at him, your heart pounding in your chest. “Remy, this is... I don’t even know what this is. We fight all the time. How could that be anything real?”
“’Cause fightin’ is better than nothin’,” he said, his eyes locking onto yours. “I’d rather argue with y’ every day than not have y’ in my life at all.”
The sincerity in his voice took your breath away. You’d always thought the arguments were just part of who you and Remy were, but now you were seeing them in a new light. Maybe the fighting wasn’t about hating each other. Maybe it was about caring too much.
But that realization only made things more complicated.
“Remy, I don’t know if I can do this,” you admitted, your voice trembling. “I don’t know if I can just... turn off the way I’ve always felt about you.”
“I ain’t askin’ y’ t’ turn anythin’ off,” he said gently. “Just askin’ y’ t’ let yourself feel whatever it is y’ been fightin’.” You shook your head, not daring to look away from him as he stepped closer to you, a small smirk crossing his face, “I don’t know how to,” You said simply. A laugh escaped his lips. “Yeah y’ do. Y’ know damn well how t’.” His eyes flickered to your lips, a silent ask of permission, and for a moment, the world narrowed down to just the two of you, standing on the edge of something neither of you fully understood. His presence was electric, and you could feel the warmth radiating from him as he closed the distance between you. The tension in the air was thick, almost tangible, and you found yourself caught between the urge to push him away and the undeniable pull that drew you closer.
There was a vulnerability in his eyes that you hadn’t noticed before, a crack in the confident facade he usually wore so well. It was as if he was laying himself bare, offering you a glimpse into the parts of him that he kept hidden from everyone else. For once, there was no playful banter, no flirtatious remarks—just the raw, unfiltered truth of what he felt.
“Y’ don’ have t’ figure it all out right now,” Remy continued, his voice low and soothing. “We can take it slow, see where this goes. But I don’ wanna pretend like there’s nothin’ here when I know damn well there is. And I think y’ know it too.” You wanted to look away, to turn and run from the intensity of his gaze, but something kept you rooted in place. The way he was looking at you made it hard to breathe, like he could see right through the walls you’d spent so long building. It wasn’t just the fights or the tension between you; it was the fear of what lay beyond them—the fear of letting yourself feel too much, too deeply. Remy was chaos and comfort all wrapped into one, and admitting what he meant to you felt like stepping off the edge of a cliff.
You clenched your fists at your sides, the familiar rush of panic creeping in. “Remy, I don’t think you get it,” you said, your voice breaking. “If I admit it—if I admit what I feel—it means I’m giving up control. It means letting go of this idea that I can keep everything in a neat little box and pretend like it’s all fine.”
Your heart pounded as you continued, each word feeling like a risk. “And I’m not used to that. I’m not used to letting someone in, not like this. I’m scared that if I do, it’ll all go wrong. That one day you’ll just—”
“Walk away?” Remy finished softly, his eyes still locked on yours. He reached out, his fingers brushing against your arm, sending a shiver down your spine. “I ain’t goin’ nowhere, chérie. I ain’t askin’ y’ t’ give up control. I’m just askin’ y’ t’ be honest with me. Honest with yourself.”
The sincerity in his voice was almost too much to bear. Every instinct told you to protect yourself, to guard your heart like you always had. But the way he was looking at you, the way his touch lingered on your skin—it made you want to believe that maybe, just maybe, you didn’t have to do this alone.
“I’ve spent so long convincing myself that caring was a weakness,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. “That showing you how much I care would give you power over me. And I can’t help but think... if I let myself feel this, it’s just going to hurt.”
Remy’s expression softened, and he took a step closer, closing the gap between you. “I ain’t here t’ hurt y’,” he said, his voice steady and sure. “I’m here ‘cause I care about y’, and I want y’ t’ see that. I want y’ t’ know that all those arguments, all that pushin’ and pullin’—it ain’t ‘cause we hate each other.”
You searched his face, looking for any sign of doubt, but all you saw was unwavering determination. He believed in this—in whatever this was between you—and for the first time, you allowed yourself to consider that maybe, just maybe, it could be real.
Swallowing hard, you finally let out a breath you didn’t realize you’d been holding. “Okay,” you swallowed the lump in your throat, “Okay.”
The uncertainty still lingered, but as you stood there, holding onto him, you felt the first stirrings of hope. Maybe fighting wasn’t the opposite of love—maybe it was just another way of holding on when you didn’t know how to let go. And as Remy’s lips finally met yours in a soft, tentative kiss, you realized that some battles were worth fighting after all. As Remy’s lips brushed against yours, it was gentle at first, almost tentative, like he was giving you one last chance to pull away. But when you didn’t, when you leaned into him and let yourself sink into the kiss, something inside you snapped. All the tension, all the arguments, all the things you’d kept bottled up came rushing to the surface, and before you knew it, you were kissing him back with a desperation that surprised you both.
Your fingers found their way to the back of his neck, pulling him closer, as if you were afraid he might vanish if you let go. Remy responded in kind, his hands sliding around your waist, pulling you against him with an intensity that made your heart race. The kiss deepened, growing more urgent, and you could feel the heat between you building with every passing second. His tongue teased against yours, and you let out a small, involuntary moan that made him grip you even tighter.
“Chérie,” he murmured against your lips, his voice ragged with need. “Y’ sure about this?”
You nodded, barely able to find the words. “I need this. I need you.”
His eyes darkened, and he kissed you again, harder this time, like he was trying to pour everything he felt into that one moment. You let yourself be swept away, losing yourself in the feel of him—his hands on your hips, his mouth trailing heated kisses down your neck, the way he whispered your name like it was the only thing that mattered.
Without breaking the kiss, Remy guided you backward, his hands never leaving your body. You stumbled slightly, your back hitting the wall with a soft thud, and Remy followed, pressing against you with a possessiveness that made your head spin. His mouth moved lower, grazing the sensitive skin of your throat, and you tilted your head back, giving him more access as your breathing became more erratic.
He slid one leg between yours, pressing against you in a way that sent a jolt of pleasure through your entire body. You arched into him, your hands roaming his back, feeling the solid muscle beneath his shirt. It wasn’t enough—you needed more, needed to feel his skin against yours, and your fingers fumbled with the hem of his shirt, pulling it over his head in one swift motion.
Remy’s lips quirked into a brief, mischievous smile before he did the same for you, tugging your shirt up and over, his eyes darkening as they took in the sight of you. He paused, just for a second, his gaze meeting yours in a silent question, and when you nodded, he wasted no time. His hands roamed over your body, tracing every curve, every line, like he was trying to memorize the feel of you beneath his fingertips.
You shivered under his touch, your own hands exploring the expanse of his chest, the hard planes of his stomach, and the feel of his skin against yours sent a thrill through you that was impossible to ignore. You tugged him closer, wanting to feel every inch of him, and he obliged, pressing against you so that there was no space left between your bodies.
Remy’s mouth found yours again, the kiss hungrier now, and he shifted his hips, grinding against you in a way that made you gasp. He swallowed the sound, his tongue delving deeper as his hands slid down to your hips, lifting you slightly so that your legs wrapped around his waist. The movement was smooth, almost effortless, and he held you there, pinned against the wall, his gaze locking onto yours with an intensity that made your pulse quicken.
“Tell me what y’ want,” he breathed, his voice low and rough, sending a shiver down your spine.
You bit your lip, your fingers threading through his hair as you tried to catch your breath. “I want you,” you whispered, the words tumbling out before you could stop them. “All of you.”
He grinned, a devilish glint in his eyes, and pressed a hot, open-mouthed kiss to your collarbone, making you tremble. “Then y’ got me, chérie,” he said, his voice a husky promise against your skin. “Every last bit.”
“Been wantin’ this for a long time,” he confessed, his voice barely a whisper.
Your heart skipped a beat, and you reached up, brushing a hand along his jaw. “Me too,” you admitted, the weight of the confession hanging between you. “More than you know.”
His lips curved into a slow, knowing smile before he kissed you again, and this time, there was no hesitation, no holding back. The rest of the world faded away as you lost yourself in him, in the heat and the urgency and the way he made you feel like you were the only thing that mattered. Remy’s gaze was heavy, full of promises and unspoken desires as he moved away slightly, his breath warm against your skin. The air between you crackled with anticipation, each second stretching out like an eternity. His fingers traced a line along your side, his touch featherlight, sending a shiver of anticipation racing down your spine. You could feel the heat radiating off his body, the tension building as he let his hand drift lower, skimming over the curve of your waist and dipping just beneath the waistband of your pants.
Every touch felt like a question, a silent plea for permission, and you answered by arching into him, your hands roaming over his shoulders and down the length of his back, feeling the play of muscle beneath his skin. He dipped his head, capturing your mouth in a searing kiss that left you breathless, and you lost yourself in the taste of him, the way his tongue tangled with yours in a rhythm that felt both familiar and new.
You let your fingers trace the line of his jaw, feeling the roughness of his stubble under your fingertips as you tugged him closer. He responded with a low growl, a sound that sent a rush of heat straight to your core, and you couldn’t help but let out a soft gasp as his mouth moved to your neck, nipping and kissing along the sensitive skin. His hands moved with purpose now, sliding under your clothes and pushing them aside as if they were nothing more than an obstacle keeping him from you.
“Y’ such a good girl,” he murmured against your skin, his voice thick with desire. He pulled back just enough to look at you, his eyes dark with a mix of lust and something deeper that made your heart race. His hands were everywhere, exploring, mapping every inch of you like he was committing you to memory, and you reveled in the way his touch set your skin on fire.
You arched beneath him, a moan escaping your lips as he found a particularly sensitive spot just below your ear. He smiled against your skin, clearly enjoying the effect he was having on you, and you couldn’t help but smile back, your fingers tangling in his hair as you pulled him closer. The world outside faded away, and all that mattered was the press of his body against yours, the way he made you feel like you were the only two people in existence.
His hands moved lower, deftly unfastening your jeans and sliding them down your legs with a practiced ease that made your breath hitch. You helped him, kicking them off as he watched, his gaze hungry and appreciative. He made quick work of his own clothes, his movements hurried but careful, as if he couldn’t wait another second to have you but still wanted to savor every moment.
When he finally settled between your thighs, the feel of him grounding you, you let out a shaky breath. Remy paused, his eyes meeting yours with a softness that took you by surprise. “We don’t have to rush, y’know,” he said, his voice a low rumble. “We got all night.”
You nodded, swallowing hard as you reached up to cup his face, your thumb brushing over his bottom lip. “I know,” you whispered, your voice barely audible over the sound of your racing heart. “But I want to. I want you.”
The words seemed to light something inside him, and he leaned down, capturing your lips in a kiss that was all heat and need. Remy pressed closer, his body aligned with yours as he deepened the kiss. The world around you faded into the background as the heat between you intensified. His hand trailed up your thigh, fingers dancing along your skin, and a shiver of anticipation coursed through you. Remy’s low groan resonated between you, a sound that sent a rush of heat through your veins, pooling low in your belly. His eyes locked onto yours, dark and smoldering, the flicker of desire mixed with that familiar, playful mischief that always kept you on your toes. It was a look that promised so much more than words ever could, and your heart raced at the thought of what was to come.
“Someone’s eager,” he murmured, his voice like velvet, dripping with that smooth Cajun drawl that always made your knees weak. There was a teasing edge to his tone, a hint of a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth as he watched your reaction.
You couldn’t help but smirk back, feeling bold under his intense gaze. “I guess I can’t resist that Cajun charm after all,” you quipped, your breath hitching as his hand continued its slow, deliberate journey up your thigh, leaving a trail of fire in its wake.
His chuckle was deep, resonating from his chest in a way that made your pulse quicken. The sound was warm and intimate, like he was letting you in on a secret only the two of you shared. “Good thing I’ve got plenty to spare,” he replied, his voice a low rumble that sent a shiver straight to your core.
Before you could respond, his lips were on yours again, claiming you in a kiss that was hungrier, more insistent. It was as if he couldn’t get enough, the taste of you driving him wild as his hand slid higher, exploring with a mix of confidence and reverence that made your body arch toward him. He pulled you closer, his tongue sweeping against yours, and you let out a soft whimper that only seemed to spur him on.
His touch was electric, a perfect mix of rough and gentle that had you gasping against his mouth. When his hand finally reached its destination, you could feel the heat of his palm pressing against your most sensitive spot, and you shuddered at the contact, a breathy curse escaping his lips against your mouth. The sound of it—the raw need in his voice—sent a thrill through you, and you knew just how much he wanted you, how close he was to losing control.
“Mon dieu,” Remy breathed, his accent thickening as his fingers traced delicate patterns, teasing and testing your resolve. His forehead rested against yours, his breath hot and uneven as he watched your expression shift with each calculated touch. “Y’ feel so good, chérie. Been dreamin’ ‘bout this.”
You bit your lip, your fingers digging into his shoulders as you tried to steady yourself against the wave of sensation crashing over you. “Keep talking like that,” you managed, your voice trembling with barely restrained desire, “and I might just lose my mind.”
Remy grinned, his thumb circling with maddening precision, coaxing a low moan from your throat. “Well, ain’t that the point?” he said, his breath ghosting over your lips as he pressed a kiss to the corner of your mouth. His hand worked skillfully, each movement deliberate, like he was savoring the way your body responded to him. The tension built steadily, your breaths mingling as you both lost yourselves in the rhythm, the dance of push and pull that you’d been perfecting for what felt like forever.
The anticipation was maddening, the way he hovered on the edge, drawing out every little gasp and shiver, every whispered plea that slipped past your lips. He was relentless, his touch both gentle and commanding, as if he knew exactly how to unravel you piece by piece. And just when you thought you couldn’t take any more, that the tension might break you, Remy leaned in, his voice a rough whisper against your ear.
“Tell me what y’ want, chérie,” he murmured, his tone dripping with desire and a hint of challenge. His thumb pressed down just a little harder, and you felt the world tilt, your breath catching in your throat. “I wanna hear y’ say it.”
You met his gaze, your own eyes blazing with want as you finally gave in, letting the last of your restraint slip away. “I want you, Remy,” you confessed, your voice raw and unguarded. “I want everything.”
His response was immediate, a soft groan escaping him as he captured your mouth in a searing kiss, the full weight of his need crashing into you like a tidal wave. And in that moment, with his hands and mouth working in perfect harmony, you knew you were lost to him, lost to the undeniable pull that had drawn you together time and time again. You weren’t fighting anymore; you were falling—fast and hard—and this time, you didn’t want to stop.
With a surge of boldness, you let one hand drift down his chest, tracing the lines of his toned abdomen before reaching lower. You felt him tense at your touch, and he broke the kiss with a moan.
You melted into his touch as his fingers explored every inch of your heat, teasing and tantalizing until you were dripping with need. The world around you ceased to exist as pleasure consumed your senses.
Needing more than just his touch on the outside of your panties separating him from where he longed to be; Remy’s fingers slipped past the fabric effortlessly; sending shivers coursing through your body. He growled at the feel of how wet and ready you were for him. His thumb found its way to your clit circling it slowly driving waves after waves of ecstasy. In between moans, you managed to slide down Remy’s briefs freeing an erection throbbing so hard it wanted nothing more than bury itself within your warmth without any other obstacles.
His fingers kept their steady rhythm inside of you bringing you closer to the edge with every passing second, each deliberate thrust like a promise of what was yet to come.
With a gasp that turned into a low moan, you tightened around his fingers as your orgasm crashed over you, leaving you trembling and breathless. He watched every blissful moment, his eyes full of admiration and lust; before he withdrew his hand and placed it behind one of your thighs lifting it slightly in a silent request, “Good girl,” He whispered, his forehead resting on your own. You gladly obliged, wrapping your leg around his waist and pulling him impossibly closer.
Remy positioned himself at your entrance, his tip teasingly grazing your folds. He locked eyes with you, seeking permission, and you nodded, desperate for him to fill the ache inside of you. With agonizing slowness, he pushed forward, inch by glorious inch, until he was buried deep within your heat. A symphony of sighs and groans spilled from both of your lips as he stretched you deliciously.
“Fuck,” Remy muttered through gritted teeth. “Y’ feel s’ good.”
You echoed his sentiment with a breathy moan as he began to move. Each thrust was a perfect blend of passion and restraint, hitting all the right spots and driving you higher with every stroke. The world around you faded away until it was just the two of you, lost in the rhythm of each other’s bodies.
His hips rocked against yours in a deliciously torturous tempo that had your head spinning. He held onto your hip tightly guiding himself deeper. Without warning, you moved one of your hands, moving its way up and down his chest until it reached its final goal. Softly grasping one nipple between thumb and index finger before applying more pressure, tugging it as you felt another low growl rumble through his chest.
“Merde,” he hissed, a mix of pleasure and frustration lacing his voice.
Feeling the effect you had on him only spurred you on, and your hand trailed lower, gripping his ass tightly and pulling him impossibly closer. The sound of skin slapping against skin echoed in the air along with your combined moans, driving the passion between you to new heights.
Beads of sweat rolled down your bodies as the temperature rose with every stroke. Your senses were overwhelmed by the feel of him inside you, the sound of your mingled breaths, and the delicious friction that threatened to send you both hurtling over the edge.
Then, with a primal groan that could have set fire to a room, Remy came undone; his whole body trembling as he spilled himself inside of you. His grip on you tightened almost painfully as he rode out his release; whispering incoherent words in French that made heat pool between your thighs. His orgasm triggered yours too, waves after waves crashing through your body leaving in their wake nothing but pure bliss.
You clung to each other as reality slowly seeped back in, your breaths ragged and hearts pounding. Remy pressed soft kisses along your shoulder, struggling slightly to maintain balance but never separating from within. He eventually pulled out, cupping your face gently and capturing your lips in a tender kiss full of unspoken promises.
Remy gently placed you down, a soft exhale escaping your lips. Your body still hummed with the aftershocks of what had just transpired, a mix of lingering heat and a deep, unexpected tenderness that left you feeling both exhilarated and vulnerable. You watched as Remy reached for the clothes you passed to him, a simple gesture that felt strangely intimate—more so than anything else that had just happened between you.
There was a flutter in your chest, a complicated tangle of emotions that you couldn't quite sort through: the satisfaction of closeness, the warmth of his touch, but also the creeping uncertainty that always seemed to follow moments like this. You wanted to savor the way his fingers brushed against yours when he took the clothes, the unspoken connection that made your pulse quicken despite the calming aftermath. But beneath that was the faint whisper of doubt, the question of what this all meant, and where it would leave the both of you when the morning came.
You studied Remy as he pulled on his shirt, his movements unhurried and almost thoughtful, as if he was taking his time not just with the task but with the moment itself. He glanced up at you, catching your eye with that familiar, roguish smile that always seemed to know more than it let on. It was a smile that made your heart skip a beat, because it was impossible not to be drawn in by it—by him. You couldn't help but wonder if he felt the same way, if his mind was as clouded with thoughts of 'what ifs' and 'where do we go from heres.'
The air between you was charged with unspoken words, the room thick with the weight of shared breaths and the faint scent of him lingering on your skin. There was a comfort in it, an aching sweetness in the quiet that stretched between you, but also a nagging fear of missteps and misunderstandings that seemed to lurk just outside the glow of the moment. You found yourself caught in the delicate balance between wanting to keep things light, easy, as they'd always been, and the sudden, overwhelming urge to reach out and make this real, to solidify the intangible connection that pulsed between you.
As Remy pulled on his pants, you couldn't help but notice the way his gaze softened when it landed on you, a subtle shift that made your breath hitch. It was as if he could see straight through the walls you’d built, right into the heart of your hesitation and hope. It unnerved you how easily he seemed to read you, how effortlessly he could make you feel seen without even trying. And maybe that was the scariest part of all—how much you wanted to be seen, to be known, even when it felt risky, even when it meant opening up to the possibility of more.
You pulled your own clothes closer, the fabric cool against your still-warm skin, and took a moment to steady your breathing. The urge to say something—anything—bubbled up inside you, but the words seemed to tangle on your tongue. What do you say when everything feels like it's teetering on the edge of changing forever? When you're caught between the safety of what you know and the terrifying promise of what could be?
Remy caught the hesitation in your eyes and paused, his expression softening as he leaned closer, brushing a stray strand of hair behind your ear. "Y’ good, chérie?" he asked quietly, his voice laced with a gentleness that made your chest tighten. It wasn’t the playful banter you were used to; it was sincere, almost vulnerable, like he was reaching out to you in a way that went beyond words.
You nodded, but the truth was, you weren’t sure. Your feelings for him were a messy, beautiful tangle of affection and desire, friendship and something more profound that you were still too scared to name. It was overwhelming, this rush of emotions that left you feeling like you were standing on the edge of something vast and unknown. But as you looked into Remy’s eyes, that familiar spark of mischief mixed with something deeper, you realized that maybe—just maybe—you were ready to take the leap.
"Well, someone looks pretty pleased with himself," you teased, nudging him with your elbow.
Remy chuckled, turning to face you with that infuriatingly charming smile. "Can’t help it, chérie. I aim t' please, and from th’ look on y’ face, I’d say I hit th’ mark."
You rolled your eyes, trying to suppress a grin. "Yeah, yeah. Don’t let it go to your head, Lebeau."
He raised an eyebrow, feigning innocence. "Who, me? Naw, chérie, m’ ego’s jus’ fine right where it is." His hand drifted lazily to trace patterns on your arm, his touch light and absent-minded. "’Sides, y’ didn’t seem t’ mind a bit of that charm earlier."
“Don’t push it,” you warned playfully, though the smile on your face betrayed you.
“Too late,” he quipped, his grin widening. “Y’ already all tangled up in it.”
You shook your head, laughter bubbling up as you pulled your jumper on, "I can’t believe I put up with you," you sighed dramatically.
Remy’s laughter rumbled through him, his eyes sparkling with mischief. “’Cause y’ love m’ charm, chérie. An’ y’ love me, too, even when y’ won’t admit it.”
You gave him a sidelong glance, trying to keep your tone light despite the flutter in your chest. "You know, you’re lucky you’re good at this, otherwise you’d be out of here so fast."
He leaned closer, his lips brushing against your ear as he whispered, "Lucky f’ both of us, then."
You swatted at him, but your laughter spilled over, mingling with his. It was moments like these—caught between playfulness and something deeper—that made everything else feel worth it.

Y/n’s pov
I roll over when my alarm goes off.
I quickly turn it off because it’s annoying as hell but whatever.
I then turn back around and tell myself I’m staying in bed for five more minutes.
Then I furrow my eyebrows and peek my eyes open when I realize the other side of the bed is still warm.
I see my redhead sleeping soundly and I squint.
I close my eyes and try to think although it is hard given I just woke up.
I double check the time to make sure I didn’t set the wrong alarm and when I see it is proper time for me to get up I am even more confused.
Natasha is never in bed this late. Like never.
Unless she’s sick.
Shit. Is she sick?
I reach over and place my hand on her forehead to feel if she’s warm and she is not.
I go to wake her up but then she looks so peaceful so I just decide to cuddle her a bit.
I end up staring at her. She’s so pretty. The way her nose crinkles a bit every now and then. And how her lips fall open slightly.
Her beautiful red hair. God I love her hair.
“Staring is rude you know?”
She mumbles out.
I roll my eyes and say
“I’m admiring. That’s not such a crime is it?”
She smiles and peeks her eyes open and I say
“Are you feeling alright?”
She nods her head and says
“Why?”
I shake mine and say
“You never sleep in unless you’re sick. So I was concerned.”
I pause briefly and then say
“You’d tell me if you didn’t feel alright would you?”
She giggles and nods her head and says
“I just wanted to stay in bed. Have a chill day.”
I raise my eyebrows and say
“Natasha? Skipping training? Now I know she’s really sick.”
She chuckles at my quip and says
“We should skip work today”
I tilt my head and say
“Baby. I can’t. We have things to do”
“Ugh but it’s just one day! I never ask for this. Please baby?”
She whips out the puppy eyes and I can’t resist them so I say
“Okay fine, but when I get in trouble you’re answering to nick for me”
She smiles and says
“We will just call in sick”
I smile and say
“I like that idea.”
I give her a quick kiss and then I say
“Well. If we’re ‘sick’ then we should go back to bed and sleep in more huh?” I’m
She nods her head and says
“I like your thinking”
I straddle her lap and lay down resting my head on her chest and I breathe in a sigh of content.
I am unable to fall back asleep but I bask in Natasha’s warmth while she gets some much needed rest in.
After about another hour and a half Natasha starts waking up again as I am just playing with her hair.
She smiles at me and I don’t notice that she is awake yet since I am still resting my head on her chest.
Then she moves her hand to my chin and pulls me toward her for a kiss and I obviously kiss back.
And the initial kiss turns into something more. But I push her away and she pouts and I shake my head.
She doesn’t question it like a good girlfriend but she does say
“Are you alright?”
I smile and nod my head. I usually am in the mood so she makes sure to check on me if I ever refuse her advances.
“We’re having a chill day remember? Sick day? Those activities are neither chill nor are they sick activities”
She smiles and rolls her eyes. Then she gets a mischievous glint in her eyes. I raise an eyebrow but before I can think anything else she tackles me into the bed and starts tickling me until I tap out.
We end up watching a few movies until we can’t watch anymore and nat says
“Ugh. I’m bored”
I nod my head and she says
“What should we do?”
She props herself up on her elbow and I do the same to face her. I say
“I dunno”
Then I get a great idea. I smirk and say
“Give me a show”
She raises her eyebrows and sits up.
“A show?”
I nod my head and sit up a bit too
“A show.”
She studies me and says
“What kind of show?”
I smile and say
“Not a dirty show. Sing for me. Make it fun. Put on a show!”
She chuckles at how my eyes light up at the thought of a funny show with a song.
“I don’t know about that one detka”
“I love your voice. Oh please please puhleasee”
I beg her and she gives in almost immediately. She chuckles and says
“Okay but you’re gonna have to cover your eyes until I’m ready”
I nod my head and cover my eyes faster than she can see and she goes to the closet to get herself ready.
I hear her rummaging through our stuff and I also hear her open a box. I can only assume she’s getting out the props I keep for team nights. We like to have props sometimes.
Then I see a hand come out of the closet and set down our speaker. That same hand turns it on and some music starts playing.
I immediately recognize the song as take me or leave me from rent.
I love singing that song with her and it is one of my top favorite musicals.
She sticks a leg out and I see that she put on some fishnets and I smile.
Then she steps out and I drag my eyes up her Fran and she’s wearing a cute and sexy outfit but she’s holding a fake microphone and she has a pink wig on that makes me burst out laughing.
“Every single day. I walk down the street. I hear folks say ‘baby’s so sweet’”
I chuckle as she sings the part that I usually sing. Whenever I make nat sing with me I usually take Maureen’s part and she takes Joanne’s but apparently she’s taking it.
“Ever since puberty everybody stares at me boys girls I can’t help it baby. So be kind and don’t lose your mind just remember you’re my baby!”
I smile and start singing the chorus with her
“Take me for what I am who I was meant to be. And if you give a damn take me baby! Or leave me”
She walks around the room and sways her hips to the beat having fun with it. I just smile and admire her. And I sing the part that Joanne has.
When it gets to the bridge, Nat sits on my lap and we go back and forth like Maureen and Joanne do in the musical.
I’m having so much fun and it’s so funny to see her with this pink wig on.
She finishes the song and we both say their parting words in unison.
“Guess I’m leaving. I’m gone”
Then she stands up at takes the wig off. I start clapping a lot and she bows for me and then when she stands up I give her an eyebrow and say
“So…”
She then says
“So?”
I smile and continue
“Are you gonna take me? Or leave me?”
I dramatically throw my head back with my hand on my forehead and she says
“Oh I’m taking you.”
I smile and say
“Chappell roan?”
She gets my reference and says with an affirming tone
“Hot to go”
I smile and say
“Good luck babe because I heard that this one is tough to love”
Then Nat straddles my waist and says
“But when she loves. She loves hard. And the outcome is so worth it”
I smile and pucker my lips for a kiss. I wait patiently but my kiss never comes so my lips form into a pout as I open my eyes to see what could possibly be hindering her from kissing me and she is just staring at me.
Well. Not really at me. It’s more like she’s zoned out so I wave my hand in front of her face and say
“Staring is rude y’know?”
She smiles and copies my earlier statement
“I’m just admiring”
I smile and my cheeks heat up a bit from the feeling I have under her loving gaze.
“I love you Nat. You know that right?”
She smiles and finally kisses me and when she pulls away she says
“You have proven to me that you love me over and over again. Of course I know it.”
I smugly smile and say
“And I’ll keep proving it until it is written on the walls of your heart”
She smiles and kisses me softly.
“I love you too detka. More than you’ll ever know”
I smile and kiss her nose.
“Good because if you ever decide you don’t and you want to leave me then I have pictures of you singing rent and dancing for me”
She scoffs at my sinister smile and says
“Good thing you won’t have to blackmail me with that. And if you ever do I will probably deserve it.”
I smile and we finish the day with lots of cuddles and movies.
As Nat and I are falling asleep in each others arms as our night is closing. I think to myself.
I’m gonna marry her one day

Can I request a scenario with Chuuya in which the Reader acts very irritated and childish when she's sleep-deprived (who is a member of the Port Mafia)? Like they both have feelings for each other, but they haven't confessed yet 😔 (skill issue)
This is a fun idea! I hope I do your request justice! I did this right as I woke up so apologies if it’s not the best.
Chuuya x Sleep Deprived! Reader
Tumblr media
The port mafia is not a place for the weak. Most can go several nights without sleeping and still be at their best. However, that doesn’t mean that lack of sleep can’t get to the best of them. Everyone needs sleep after all.
But you don’t believe that. You’ll sleep when you pass out and so far, you haven’t passed out. You got sent on a late night mission 3 nights in a row. You haven’t slept for 3 days and it’s starting to sink in on your brain. Thinking you might be able to finally get a night off, an emergency happened at one of the mafia’s weapon facilities that had you staying up for another night.
You and Chuuya got sent to the facility to wait and see if the culprit who’s sabotaging the transfer of these weapons comes back. You were dragging your feet as your eyelids felt heavy but you knew you had to stay awake. “Chuuyaaaaa, do we have to?” You whine, breaking the comfortable silence that had fallen between you two.
“Yeah, we do. The boss said so. So stop whining.” He scoffed a bit as he looked at you. You grumbled at him, “Well sorry if I don’t wanna do some stupid mission.” Chuuya is a bit taken aback as you aren’t one to usually call any mission stupid. He looks at you and takes in your demeanor. “Are you tired?” He asks. “Psh, no. I’m not tired, you’re tired.” You say as you stick your tongue out at him. A small smile forms on Chuuya’s face before he chuckles. “I think you are tired. You should’ve said-“ Chuuya was cut off by you tripping him. He caught himself before his face hit the ground and he looked up at you. “See? You’re the tired one.” You hum as you keep walking.
Chuuya picked himself up and followed after you. “Y/n, when was the last time you slept?” He asks with a bit of worry in his voice. “I dunno, 3 or 4 days ago or somethin’.” You’re words have been coming out a bit slurred and Chuuya is probably the only one who’d notice. He frowns a bit at that as this mission is supposed to last all night. It’s a stake out to make sure whoever was at the facility doesn’t come back.
Once you and Chuuya get to your position to watch the facility for the night he looks over at you and watches as you sway a bit, your eyelids fighting the urge to close. He sighs as he takes off his jacket and wraps it around your shoulders before pulling you into his side. “Hey! What’re you-“ You start to protest but Chuuya shushes you. “Just shut up and get some sleep. I’ll wake you if something happens.” He says as he looks away to hide the blush that’s rising to his cheeks. “Nuh uh! I told you I’m not tired!” You protest vocally but your body curls up next to Chuuya’s as your head rests on his shoulder. “I don’t need to sleep.. I’m fine..” A yawn is followed shortly after your protest and your heavy eyelids finally win their battle and close, you were out in seconds.
Chuuya sighs as he looks down at you. He’s never seen you act like this before but he found it rather cute. He brushes some of your hair out of your face as he just holds you close to him. He has no intentions of actually waking you up. He’s just gonna let you sleep as long as you need to.
Nothing happened that night at the facility. Once it was dawn, Chuuya called up Mori to let him know that nothing happened but you and him were taking the rest of the day off. Mori understood and let you both have the day for yourselves. Chuuya ended up carrying you back to his place as you were still out cold. While sleeping, he found you quite peaceful. It was very different from how daring and crazy you were on the battlefield. He unlocked the door to his place and carried you to his room. He laid you down on his bed and was about to take his jacket from you when you grabbed the jacket in your sleep and held it. The blush he had before came flooding back and he just let you be and went to the living room to just relax for the day.
Around 2 PM your eyelids finally fluttered open. You yawned and sat up as you stretched your body out. When you finally took in your surroundings you realized you weren’t in your room, then remembered the stake out mission you panicked. “Oh shit- What happened?” You quickly got up and ran out of the room to only pause when you smelt some food. You peaked around the corner and saw Chuuya cooking. He glanced over his shoulder then smiled. “Good morning sleeping beauty.” He says with a smirk.
“What happened last night? The mission, was everything okay?” You choose to ignore his comment even if it did make you blush a little. “It was fine. Nothing happened. This morning I told Mori to let us have the day off so you could sleep, for 14 hours.” Chuuya chuckled. You went wide eyed. “14 hours? Why didn’t you wake me?” “Because you needed sleep. Now sit down and eat.” Chuuya set a plate of food on the table and pulled out the seat for you to sit down. You sighed and took a seat and looked at the food. You didn’t even realize you were hungry until you started eating, and damn was it some good food.
Once you had your fill you looked at Chuuya who had been eating as well. “Thank you..” You mumbled. “For letting me sleep.” You finished a bit louder that before. Chuuya looked at you and smiled, “Hang out with me more when you’re sleep deprived. You’re funny.” He chuckles. Your face reddens as you can’t quite remember what you said or did and you worry you did something embarrassing. “Oh shut up! I think you just want to be my knight in shining armor again.” You tease, hoping to get him back. Chuuya then grabs your hand and gives it a gentle kiss, “I always will be, and next time I’ll wake sleeping beauty with a kiss.” He teases back. You’re face gets and even darker shade of red as you weren’t prepared for that. However a small smile forms on your lips as you wouldn’t mind being woken up by a kiss from him.

MASTERLIST ⛤ WHUMPTOBER WORKS
🕸 ⋆ ⁶𖤐⁶ ࣪⋆🕸
You weren’t tired. No. You just needed to rest your eyes a little, that was all.
The screen of the computer had begun to hurt your eyes, making your temples to throb so, with your elbows planted firmly on the table, you began to massage them to ease the pain, but here you found your eyes dropping closed and your head falling towards table. The dim lighting of the cave didn’t help much either.
As soon as your head hit your clammy palm, you jolted awake, sitting up abruptly and straightening your back against the chair, snapping back to the mountain of work that you needed to get done.
Your fingers moved sluggishly against the keyboard as you typed up the reports. It had been a busy week and so you were left with a large pile of unfinished essays to type and not a lot of time to do them. It was late; the rest of the boys had returned to their beds, deciding to write their reports the following day, but you were already behind which meant that despite the ungodly hour you were still plastered to the chair.
Reaching blindly for your coffee with one hand you wrapped your hands around the ceramic and brought it to your lips. The drink was lukewarm and bitter as it ran over your tongue, but you were desperate for the buzz that the caffeine gave you.
You hadn’t realised that the sun had crept up of you until Dick strolled into the room, barefoot and in his pyjamas. He did a double take when he saw you, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
“Y/n?” He asked, frowning at you. At the sound of his voice you glanced over at him briefly, noting his messy hair. He observed the fact that you were still wearing the same clothes as you were when he went to bed last night. “Did you even go to sleep?”
You shook your head, continuing to press your fingers into the little plastic squares not even nothing to look his direction as you continued to work. “Nope.”
He narrowed his eyes. “How long have you been awake?”
“Dunno.” You shrugged. “What time is it?”
“6”
“ ‘Bout…26- 27 hours?”
He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Y/n. You need sleep.”
“I will. I just need to get this done first. You can get me another coffee though?”
“Y/n-“
“Sorry Dick, can’t hear you over my cleverness.”
He rolled his eyes, but snatched the cup from your hand anyway and went to prepare breakfast.
It seemed like forever before you finally entered the last word on your essay slumped back against the chair. You were feeling exhausted and your body had began to grow stiff from sitting in the same place for so long, so after submitting it you shuffled into the kitchen where your brothers were sat lounging on chairs.
“Woah, Y/n.” Damian said through a mouthful of bacon that he had piled onto his plate “You look like hell.”
“Thanks Dames.” You scoffed. “Just what a woman wants to hear.
“I didn’t mean it like that-“
“She hasn’t slept.” Dick interjected.
Tim narrowed eyes at you over the top of his book. “What? Why?”
“I had too much to do, Jaybird.”
“Well then go to bed now.”
“Can’t.” You grabbed a slice of toast and slid it onto a plate. “Still got too much to do. Besides, I’m not tired.”
“Sure.” He rolled his eyes and went back to his book.
The rest of the day dragged on. You had busied yourself with small tasks that needed to be done during the day and then once all of those were done, you had spent some time in the training room to work on your technique, but your movements were slow and well below par so eventually you gave up, slipped off of the blue mat and dragged yourself towards the showers.
You twisted the dial all the way to the left, waiting for it to settle to an even temperature as you stepped out of your clothes. When you climbed into the shower, the cold water stung your skin as it ran down your back but it kept you wide awake and on your feet so with shaky hands you grabbed the shampoo bottles and began to massage it into your scalp. Although you were in and out quickly, by the time you were done and stepped out of the shower your body was wracked with shivers. Wrapping a thick white towel around you, you dried yourself off before changing into something comfier and creeping back down the stairs now feeling slightly more awake.
You made your way into the library, where shelves filled to the brim with books lined the walls. You ran your fingers against the shelves and noted that when you pulled your hand away you had collecting a thin sheen of dust.
“Don’t even think about it.”
Tim was rounding the corner to return his book that had been absentmindedly flicking through the all day but found that it didn’t give him the thrill he was looking for, so he had wandered back to the library to select another on me when he heard you shuffling around.
“But it needs to be done-“
“Alfred will do it.” Tim told you, placing a large hand on your shoulders and steering you away from the shelves after you had selected a book. A blue hardback covered dainty little flowers embroidered along the spine.
“But he already has so much to do.” You protested.
“It’s his job, y/n/n. And you need to get some sleep.”
You sighed. “I’m not tired, Tim. Seriously lay off it.”
He raised his hands in surrender and wheeled away in a huff. You settled down on the plush sofa, bringing your knees to your chest to read under the gentle light and revel in the silence for just a few moments. Tim settled opposite you, sprawling out across the other couch.
For the next few hours the only sound that filled the room was the gentle flick of turning pages. That was until the other three came bundling in, but you didn’t notice. You had drifted off into a mindless sleep.
You were woken to a a gentle nudge on your shoulder and you sat up abruptly.
“Hmm? What?”
“You fell asleep.” Jason told you.
“No I didn’t…” you mumbled.
Jason pursed his lips. “I think you did.”
You blinked at him.
“Seriously, y/n just go to bed.” Damian told you.
You contemplated for a moment before hauling yourself up onto your feet. You stumbled across the room when a sudden wave of exhaustion washed over you and you were forced to grip onto the counter to keep yourself upright. When you moved to take another step, dragging your feet along the carpet you stumbled again.
“Alright. That’s it.” Dick stood up and moved across the room with one big stride, picking you up effortlessly and throwing you over his shoulder.
“Hey! Put me down.”
Someone snickered behind you.
“No can do little bat. You’re going to bed.”
He hauled you off to your room ignoring your remarks and pointless excuses. When he reached your door, he threw you over his shoulder and onto the bed. You tried to crawl away, but he just grabbed your ankle and pushed you back onto your pillows.
“Sleep.” He told you firmly, using his voice that only came out when he was ordering the rest of you around during a patrol. You pouted, glaring at him through hooded eyes, but he just gave you a little smirk, drew the curtains and moved to the door ignoring your antics.
“Goodnight, y/n. Sleep well.”

late night calls — carlos oliviera
Tumblr media
you rubbed at your eyes as you heard the rather alarming buzz of your phone on the nightstand. your eyes squinted against the light that came from your phone. through the brightness you saw carlos’ name. with furrowed brows you answered, rolling over in bed as you placed your phone to your ear. “carlos?”
“oh, thank god you’re awake.” he muttered somewhat groggily on the other line. “why, did something happen?” your body becomes tense, but carlos quickly consoles you. “nah, nah, just…i dunno…needed to chat” you raise your brows in the darkness of your room. “needed to chat?” you repeat.
“yeah, what’s wrong with that?” he replies with an almost seeable shrug. “it’s like two in the morning, carlos. i thought you were in trouble.” he chuckles on the other end. “don’t worry, you wouldn’t survive without me.” you scoff. “right now i think i can.” you go to hang up, but carlos’ almost desperate voice stops you. “wait, wait! y/n. don’t…don’t hang up.”
you pause, placing the phone back to your ear. “if nothings wrong, then why did you call?” carlos breathes out a small laugh. “do you gotta be a stickler all the time, huh? i don’t see nothing wrong with talking.”
“this early? also I’m not a stickler.” your voice turns slightly defencive. “right, right. yeah, no, definitely not.” carlos replies smoothly. you sigh, resting back against your pillow. “was there anything in particular you wanted to talk about?” you can hear carlos shift on the other end. “and what if i said i just wanted to hear you talk?”
“i’d rethink about hanging up.” you sweetly say. “oh come on...” carlos drags out, his voice still low from sleep. “you gotta a nice voice. is it so wrong that i wanna hear you first thing in the morning?” you can feel your face slightly heating up at that. you cough. “then you should have called me in the morning.”
“it is the morning.” he indignantly replies. “so you’re telling me you wake up everyday at this time?” you scoff. “sometimes.” he replies. “hey, these muscles don’t just appear.” despite it all and your tired form you manage a laugh. on the other end carlos awakens more at that. the sound reverberating through him. he liked your voice, even more your laugh. it was…comforting to him.
“get any sleep? before i kindly interrupted, of course.” carlos asks, back against his bed as he kept the phone close. his hair was a mess, and his shirt was somewhere across the room. “kindly, huh?” your eyes are slightly fluttering from tiredness. “always.” carlos replies. you lightly chuckle, though carlos can hear the sleepiness drenching your words.
“and uh, yeah, i guess my sleep is alright.” you continue, rolling over again in your bed, your right cheek now against the pillow. “how about you?” now your words are drifting. you don’t mean to let them, but your fried brain can’t help it.
“ah, with the size of me and the unfortunate size of my bed i wouldn’t say it’s top notch.” carlos replies. he waits a moment, and that’s when he catches the faintest sound of a sleepy breathe. you had fallen asleep. “is my voice that soothing?” carlos chuckles to himself. he had wanted to talk to you. but he hadn’t known what about. correction — he had wanted to hear you. as much as he could. but now it seems it’s not enough. he doesn’t think he can let his head hit back against his pillow, he doesn’t think he can sleep.
he hasn’t been sleeping. at all. the last time he remembers is when the two of you were stuck in an abandoned apartment, while the infected prowled outside. it had been cold. and you two had decided to use body heat. he had slept so soundly pressed against you like that. in all honesty he misses it. even if it occurred for a brief night. a good sleep is hard to forget.
he couldn’t help it. the soft sound of your breathing on the other line was almost begging for him to come. you wouldn’t mind, right? either way hes already made it to your apartment. he’s already inside, the spare key you had leant to him in the panic now coming in handy. your apartment is silent, dark. he silently reaches your room, your phone hanging precariously now over the bed, your face squished up against your pillow. god he couldn’t help it. he creeps forward, slowly, quietly.
reaching the bed, it creaks, his body weight a little more than yours, your bed clearly not used to it. then he was under the covers, the sheet already feeling more comforting. he shifts closer to you, his front now at your back as his arm carefully drapes over your stomach. this is probably the most comfortable he’s been. his hand finds solace a fraction under your shirt, the heat from your skin bringing him even closer.
he actually manages a sigh as his breath hits your neck, his mouth close as his head hits the pillow. you slightly shift, a small airy groan leaving your lips. but carlos stays put, gently stroking your stomach as he whispered soothingly in your ear. “shh, it’s okay. it’s jus’ me. lie back, sweetheart…jus’ rest…”

won’t you hold my hand again?
Tumblr media
distant!xiao x reader
sypnosis: you find xiao at a party after he ghosts you
warnings: angst, no comfort, edibles, mentions of being high, cigarettes, abandonment
Tumblr media
“is that xiao?” your breath hitched at the mention of his name, the bright red cup in your hand crinkling. it had been a month since you last talked. every text you sent him being seen, just ignored.
you could still remember his dismissive tone the last time you saw him in his dorm room. the only thing keeping his attention was his phone, not you.
“xiao, why aren’t you listening to me? what’s gotten into you?
“i don’t care about what you have to say. can you go now?”
at the time, the new blonde haired girl being in his contacts wasn’t something you were aware of. only when you saw them both snuggled up together in the library was when you were forced to face the truth, something undeniable but you wished to not see.
now here he was a few feet away from you, same red cup in hand but a distant look in his eyes as he scrolled through his phone.
your friends giggled as they pushed you towards the living room, towards him.
you knew you should have refused their pleas to join them to attend this party. and now you’d have to swallow your regret for the next few hours.
hu tao’s loud cheers from behind xiao snatched your attention to the brown haired-ghost lover as she set a plate of brownies on the table. her wide grin answered the one question you had the second you saw the plate in her hands.
“have an edible xiao, loosen up!” she laughed as she handed xiao one who reluctantly took his split half.
yanfei smiled as she handed you and xinyan a piece. it’s not like you hadn’t taken edibles before, but you slept off your high for the most part. this time you’d be wide awake and experience everything to it’s fullest.
you noticed a pair of golden eyes on yours, your stomach churning. you’d rather be out of it if you were forced to be around him.
with a queasy smile the brownie popped into your mouth. your friends laying on the floor beside you as you waited for it to hit.
an hour passed before you were laughing loudly with your friends. the bright lights seemed brighter than before and your skin prickled with every playful touch from your friends.
“sooo, (y/n). what happened with xiao? you guys were all buddy-buddy. now you don’t even look at him! spill!” hu tao’s chipper attitude was still prevalent even while high.
you shake your head, waving your hand dismissively. “dunno, guess he got with someone else.” you answered.
“that blondie, huh? she keeps coming over.” hu tao twirled her hair around a finger, letting a strand fall. “i always liked you better, (y/n).” she giggled.
“thanks.” you whispered quietly. at the mention of the teal haired boys name your eyes wandered to his sitting form. he was still slouched over on the sofa, the same position he was in earlier. the only difference were the wired earbuds in his ears. the sounds only heard by him.
a part of you wished to take the other earbud and pop it into your ear, enjoying this moment with him. but you knew even if you found the courage to take it, he’d only be wishing you were someone else. the thought made your stomach churn.
if only you had listened to yourself you wouldn’t have found yourself in this position.
you were seated on the balcony with xiao, a few hours had passed since you both took your brownies. the night had been a blur to you both, but you both knew the burning question in each others minds.
what happened? why the sudden distance?
“so, how’s your relationship been? you bored yet?” your bold question caught xiao off guard, his eyes widening before a scoff escaped his mouth. you couldn’t hide your disdain for him even now.
“i’m satisfied with my relationship, (y/n). why do you think i haven’t called you?”
ouch.
“a heads up would’ve been nice.” you mumbled. xiao wouldn’t meet your gaze as you kept it locked on the dark sky above. he heard your sigh as you shifted to face him. “why didn’t you say anything?”
“how could i? i knew how you would react.” you shook your head at his response. “you knew how i’d react because this has happened so many times. you knew it was fucked up xiao. so why? why did you make me all of those promises?”
xiao winced at your questions. the shared past you had with xiao was never pretty, never something to recall fondly. it was a messy, hurtful relationship. his calls would only come when he was alone, stopping once another girl would worm their way into his life.
but this last time had been.. different. you were both in university now. before the last time you two had spoken you had hurled insult after insult, wishing to never see him again.
he had complied with your wishes for six months. that was until you found him sobbing alone in the library. you tried to ignore it, ignore him, but his soft calls of your name brought him back into your life.
it wasn’t like him, not at all. but with interlinked pinkies he promised a future where he wouldn’t go away. he promised to stay in your life even if he found a new lover, the way he did throughout your younger years before relationships were consuming.
“i meant it at the time, i just don’t anymore.” he said coldly.
“you never changed.” you spat before standing up from your slouched position. the lit cigarette between his fingers only irked you more. a detail you hadn’t noticed in your current state.
“you’re still such a shitty person, you know that xiao?”
“i’m not a shitty person. i only am to you.” the lit cigarette burned bright as he brought it to his lips. the indifferent expression on his face only furthered the growing pit in your stomach as he blew the smoke out. “it’s strange, isn’t it (y/n)? you’re the only one who sees me that way. it’s not my fault i fell in love, i never planned this.”
“you promised—“
“you were promised by a different version of myself. now, if you’ll excuse me, i don’t want you to ruin my high.”
with a quiet click of the balcony door closing you were left alone. the fairy lights felt blinding as your senses were overwhelmed. nothing had changed between you both. the rift that slowly opened in the space of a month was now a chasm. the dark space between you was now impossible to mend.
or perhaps it was never meant to come together again, and it was meant to stay apart the way it was before he made you that promise.
“i shouldn’t have thought twice about you, xiao.”

"Mind, heart, and body." (Law x Reader!)
Tumblr media
Description: It was a rough and stormy night on the Polar Tang. You were a new recruit on the Heart Pirates. Law let you join the crew because he knew the amount of power you held and.. well.. beauty too. Eventually one of the thunder strikes woke you up. Making you head over sleepily to Law’s room, falling asleep on his bed. Then what happened? That’s just for Law and you to know..
Side Notes: Hello my wonderful loves!! Please enjoy this fic, I spent most of my day fixing this up for you all. <3 (Probably spelling mistakes + My requests should be open!)
Consider following..?
(づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
~~~
It was another rough night on the Polar Tang, waves crashed against the ship which indicated a thunderstorm. You had just recently joined the Heart Pirates and Law had chosen you because of your amazing fighting skills and maybe your looks too..
The thunder and lighting grew louder and stronger, half asleep you wondered if the ship was really going to be okay with this many waves and chaos.
You could hear the screams and yells of the harsh ocean wind against the small, glass window over your bed. Another ‘bang’ sound came from the outside thunder, this made your eyes snap open.
You wanted to hold something. You were actually feeling scared over something so simple.
Then you noticed a small light seeping from under your door, the same light you saw before you slept.
Law’s room.
You assumed that Law being Law.. was still awake, and that he was working on whatever Law works on at this time of night. Probably studying some medical books or what not.
So, you decided to sit up on your bed and walk over to this room. You weren’t really thinking straight because of your sudden awakening from the thunder.
You knocked on his door and didn’t hear anything.
So you just decided to barge in.
“L-law.. you in here..?” you said scratching your eyes slightly, standing in his doorway, scanning the room.
You saw Law on this chair, head deep into his work.
Law turned around on his chair and stared at you in shock.
“E-eh y/n-ya..? What are you doing this late in here..?” Then it hit him like a pile of bricks, you were in his room, at this time of night, alone.
He felt a small burning sensation creep up on him. He was blushing.
“I dunno.. I was sleeping and then the thunder woke me up..” you stared at him innocently.
You began walking towards his bed and plopped on it, still dizzy from waking up and walking abruptly to his room.
“Y/n.. y-you shouldn’t be in here..” he looked down on you, wide eyed.
“I know but.. It’s scary..” you mumbled and began getting comfortable in his bed.
Law shut his medical book, pushed his chair in place and walked closer to you.
“I’m taking you back.” he said firmly.
He didn't want you to get him wrong.. He’d love to sleep with you in his bed but.. There was something about it.. He couldn’t commit to it.
Then he placed his hands under you and lifted you up from his bed, your feet dangling in the air and your head in his chest.
As he walked to your room, he opened the door and placed you gently on your bed and shut the blinds of the small window, his body hanging over you.
Then you, in your sleep, grabbed his clothing. This pulling movement from you made him stumble and fall on you. Not hard enough to wake you up though.
At this point he was completely bright red and hopeful you didn't wake up to see him in this state. He slowly got up from his position, careful to not wake you up.
“Law…” you said his name in a quiet and adorable voice.
His attention snapped to you.
“I want my good night kiss..” you smiled with your eyes still shut.
Law was speechless.
He was stuck in between following your request or completely ignoring you and walking out. However, at that moment he knew that if he didn’t follow up on what you asked so kindly for, he wouldn’t be able to stop thinking about you.
So, he slowly leaned in.. he was still contemplating what to do. But this mind, heart, and body were all fighting and racing a million miles an hour.
But then..
He kissed you.
Your tender lips collided with his, it was a solid second but for Law it felt like forever. Then he pulled back, seeing your face smiling unconsciously in delight.
He decided to see himself out before this escalated.. meaning that he wouldn’t be able to hold himself back from continuing if he looked at you longer.
He slowly walked out of the room and shut the door. He was smiling, this mouth going from ear-to-ear and blushing like a mad man.
He’d never really got to experience this feeling.
Then Law entered this room and also shut the door, he laid on his bed and was happy, proud, relieved, and worried.
Now why worried you ask?
Well, let’s just say he’d have lots of explaining to do the next morning..
~~~
The End~

Thank you so, so much for reading my fic and have a wonderful day! <3

Jake’s POV:
Some people liked to assume that Jake was not an observant person, but he disagreed. Just because he was slightly aloof in attitude did not mean he wasn’t acutely aware of everything that went on around him, especially regarding his best friends. And Y/n, Johnnie, and Carrington were not only his roommates, but also his very close friends.
For the last several months, Jake had been– well, he didn’t want to use the word ‘lurking’ – but watching Johnnie and Y/n’s interactions. He knew Y/n was always closest to Johnnie, of the three men, you would have to be an idiot not to notice that, he figured. But what he’d noticed more recently was their slight changes in behavior around each other. The way Johnnie would go out of his way to do little things for Y/n, like fill her water glass when it was empty, or bring her bedroom a fresh box of tissues when he noticed she was running low. Jake noticed the way Y/n purposely told the punchlines of her jokes in a way she knew Johnnie would laugh at, and the way her ears got two shades redder when he did. Jake noticed the stolen glances they gave each other when the other wasn’t looking, and the way their fingers would brush together when they wanted to get each other’s attention. Jake had noticed all of these quirks that Y/n and Johnnie had, and yet he hadn’t said a single thing to either of them.
No, Jake knew that a good best friend wouldn’t try to pry the information out of them, he would wait until one of them came to him. Or, bring it up in conversation with them individually when the time was right.
As it turns out, tonight would be the night when the time was right. It was around 1 am, and Jake was sitting in his room, sifting through his hours and hours of stream content, deciding what he wanted to cut and edit for his live channel on youtube. Suddenly, his bedroom door slammed open, and a very drunk Johnnie stumbled in. He had just got back from hosting a local Emo Night with Y/n.
“Dude I dunno whatta do…” he slurred, and Jake laughed. This did not please Johnnie, as he started making angry pouty faces at Jake.
Jake cleared his throat and played off the laugh, “What happened, man?”
“I kissed ‘er. Y/n. I… I–” He collapsed on Jake’s bed, slamming his hands over his face to try and mask his embarrassment. “She’s gonna hate me.”
Jake cut him off, “Woah, Johnnie. She’s not gonna hate you. Why would she hate you?”
“I think she just wantsta be friends ‘n I messed it up!”
“Did she tell you she just wanted to be friends?”
“No but–”
“And do you feel like you have real feelings for her?” Jake interrupted, so as to not allow him to overthink, even in his drunken state.
“Yes.”
“Exactly. And by the looks of things, I think she has feelings for you too, dude.”
Johnnie moved his hands away from his face slightly, and turned to look at Jake, “Really?”
“Yes, Johnnie! Now go chug a huge glass of water and go to bed.” He got up and pulled Johnnie to his feet. Then he dragged him to the kitchen and got him a big glass of water, before walking him back to his own bedroom and tucking him into bed. “Goodnight.”
“Night, Jake.”
The next morning Jake sat at the kitchen table, bowl of cereal in hand, when Johnnie slowly trudged into the kitchen. Y/n was not yet awake.
Jake giggled at Johnnie’s disheveled state, “Morning, sunshine.”
“Fuck off,” Johnnie mumbled, his voice still laced with sleep.
“How you feeling?” Jake asked.
“Well, I’m hungover as fuck if that’s what you mean.”
“You know that’s not what I mean.”
Johnnie hesitated, “I don’t know, dude. I’m surprised I even remember our conversation if I’m being honest. I still kind of think I’m fucked… Thank God she’s not awake yet. I needed more time to contemplate all my shitty decisions.”
“Dude… I promise you’re not fucked. Like, I promise.”
“Did she tell you something?”
“No but… a best friend’s instinct is never wrong…” he wiggled his fingers goofily in Johnnie’s direction.
“Are you forty? Like, what is that?” Johnnie asked sarcastically, but with his classic Johnnie laugh.
“Just trust me, Johnnie,” he put on a southern accent and clasped a hand over his heart, “Mother knows best.”
“Yeah, okay man,” Johnnie laughed.
Y/n POV:
You woke up with the throbbing headache and the sudden urge to vomit. As you ran to your bathroom and keeled over the toilet, you thought about the events of last night. No level of hungover could make you forget the fact that Johnnie had kissed you last night. You wanted it to mean something more than anything.
You cleaned yourself up, brushed your teeth, washed your face, and got dressed for the day before heading downstairs to greet Jake.
“Good morning,” he said with a grin, slurping up the last of his cereal milk.
“Morning,” you replied, grabbing a mug and pouring yourself a black cup of coffee, as well as popping a bagel in the toaster. “Where’s Johnnie?”
“He went back to bed. Claimed he was quote ‘too hungover for this shit’. How was your night?” Jake asked, a hint of a smile in his voice.
You turned around and were met with an expectant Jake leaning against the island behind you, arms crossed.
“Why…?”
“Oh you know, I heard some rumors through the grapevine, the usual.”
“Did he tell you what happened?” you asked.
“Maybe…”
“Jesus, that man cannot keep his mouth shut to save his life.” You chuckled at the thought of Johnnie stumbling into Jake’s room to tell him what he’d done as soon as he made sure you were in bed, and a smile formed on your lips. “Well yeah. He kissed me. I don’t know if we’re gonna talk about it, or if it was a mistake, or what. But Jake, I need to get this off my chest. I’m like… in love with him. I have been for a while, and I don’t know what to do. I don’t wanna ruin the friendship.”
“Interesting, interesting.” Jake said, rubbing his chin with his thumb and pointer finger, as if this was news to him.
“You knew?”
“I had my suspicions! I’m more observant than you guys give me credit for!” Jake said proudly. “But trust me, Y/n, you have nothing to be scared of.”
“Did he… did he tell you something?” you asked, and Jake hesitated.
“No. I just have very good observational skills, can’t you just say you’re proud of me, damn!” he jokes.
You laughed, “Okay, Jakey.”
You’re getting ready to follow Johnnie’s lead and head back to bed (fuck the bagel), just because you felt so sick. But before you could leave, Jake grabs your arm.
“Seriously, Y/n. I think you should tell him how you feel. Chances are, he probably feels the same.”
“For real?”
“Yes. And if I’m wrong… I’ll do all your chores around the house for a week.”
“Two weeks,” you add slyly.
“Deal!” he stuck out his hand and you shake on it. For Jake, a deal is a deal– no bullshit.
You head upstairs to fulfill your end of the deal. Even though you know that Johnnie would still want to be your friend, regardless of if he reciprocates your feelings, the nerves are still ever present in your stomach.
You knocked on his door lightly, and heard a quiet, “Come in” from inside.
You opened the door and crept into Johnnie’s pitch black room, you knew the layout of his bedroom by heart at this point. You could navigate his space with your eyes closed, so the lack of light made no difference. You mentally thanked Johnnie for inviting you to have so many movie nights in his room. Finally, you reached the bed and sat down on the edge, facing where you could only assume was his head.
“Hi,” Johnnie said, and you could hear the nerves in his voice.
“We need to talk about last night,” you say.
“You’re right,” Johnnie started, and you felt his weight shift in bed as he sat up to face you, even in the darkness. “I’m so sorry, Y/n. I don’t know why I kissed you last night. It was reckless and dumb, and I understand if you need space from me for a while. But… I can’t say it was a mistake. It wasn’t. Not for me.”
Your heart fluttered in your chest, and even though you knew he couldn’t see you, you were still embarrassed that your cheeks were burning up at his words.
“That’s exactly what I came in here to say,” you smiled.
“Wait… really?” he asked.
“Yes, Johnnie. I don’t want to be just friends with you anymore. Do you think, could we ever…?” You trailed off, waiting for him to finish your thoughts, since you were too scared to vocalize them.
“Yes.” Johnnie said, this time there was zero hesitation or fear in his voice. “I want to be with you, Y/n. You’ll always be my friend, but we can be friends and?”
“Yeah,” you giggled, “Friends and.”
You reached out to feel for his face in the darkness, and your fingers brushed against the stubble on his cheek. You drew his face closer to yours, until your noses brushed together. His hands found your chest and moved up your neck to wrap around the back of your head, and he pulled your face impossibly closer to his. He pressed your foreheads together, and you breathed deeply, letting go of all your fear. You’d done it.
You finally closed the gap between the two of you, and his lips were softer than you’d remembered them being last night. After a minute of getting used to the feeling of each other's mouths, for real this time, Johnnie smiled against your lips, and you can’t help but return the gesture.
“What?” you asked, still grinning.
“Nothing, it’s just… Jake was right. As usual.”
“Wait. Jake talked to you about this?”
“Yeah,” Johnnie responded, “He’s the one who told me to tell you my feelings.”
“No way, he told me the same thing!” you laughed, “That little fucking schemer!”
Johnnie kissed you softly, and you felt him grin against your mouth again, “He’s like our cupid.”
“Yeah, he really is,” you whispered, before leaning in to kiss Johnnie again.
And now that you had him, you didn’t want to stop.

How would you think mizu would react to a single mother, I Dunno, something like smReader took in injured mizu wnd took care of her after that. Was just caring and trying to help mizu
It's random idk
pairing: mizu x single mother!fem!reader
warning(s): swearing, mentions of injury + blood
a/n: I feel like she would react rather well. because her mother was technically a single mother, though not a good one - so she’d be like “oh. so they can be good”
summary: after waking up in a strange cabin, mizu meets you. a young woman her age, a baby cradled in her arms.
word count: 497 words / 2,673 characters
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
mizu groaned, sitting up on the mat she was laid on.
“you’re awake.”
she’s met with a voice. a soft, sweet caring voice. she glanced behind her, seeming skeptical.
but all she’s met with was a sweet and caring face of a woman. the woman had a baby cradled in her arms, her head cocked a little as mizu stared at her.
“do you not remember..? oh, who am I kidding, of course you don’t,” you chuckle, settling down beside her. she gazed at you with a confused expression, glancing at your child for a moment. “(y/n) (l/n). I found you, bleeding and passed out in the snow. I took you in.”
she nodded a little.
“.. thank you,” she rasped.
“I didn’t want to leave you for dead. It’s the least I could do, sir,” you bow your head, feeling your child shift a little. “oh, little one, it’s okay..”
she watches as you tend to your child. your touch was so gentle, it was so..
.. kind.
it never occurred to her a mother could treat her child this way. at least, not from what she experienced with her mother. but that had different circumstances, didn’t it?
“I’m sorry—I’ll bring you food in a moment, I have to put him down.”
she nods as you gather to your feet. you leave the room for a moment, coming back with food and no child. he must be with your husband, then.
“here you go,” you set the food down in front of her.
she thanks you quietly, grabbing the bowl and beginning to eat.
“your eyes, sir.. may I assume you are half-white?”
the words make her twitch.
“yes,” she whispers. “my father was a white man.”
you nod, not seeming unsettled by the fact, “I see,” you reply. “and you are a traveling samurai, yes?”
“I am,” she says in between mouthfuls.
“headed to kyoto, hmm?” you hum, “based on where you are, I could only assume so.”
“yes. kyoto.” she replies again, “do you live here with your husband? where is he?”
“ah..” you sigh, “I don’t have a husband.”
she gazed at you, confused out of her mind. a child, but no husband.
“I raise my child alone—he wasn’t.. planned. I worked at a brothel and.. well..” you chuckle, “but I don’t regret him. I love him with all my heart.”
“.. hmph,” she adverted eye-contact. “that’s.. interesting.”
“yes—I suppose it is,” you laugh. “In this world, anyway.”
“it’s respectable, though. raising your child alone, with no help,” she muttered. “you are someone to respect.”
you blush a little, “thank you, sir.”
“sure,” she murmured.
“so.. when you are healed fully, will you continue on your way?” you cock your head.
she adverts her gaze again, “I could stay, a little,” she replies, suddenly making eye-contact. “repay you for your help.”
“oh, you don’t—“
“allow me,” she kisses your hand softly. “please.”
“o-okay,” you clear your throat. “you can stay for a little.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
a/n: she’s like. “oh. moms can be good people? who woulda thunk it!”

IN THE WEE SMALL HOURS OF THE MORNING
Tumblr media
(not my gif!)
gerard way x gn!reader
summary: he's your roommate...but maybe he's more than that.
warnings: unedited writing, fluff, no use of [y/n]
note: so sorry i haven't posted in forever! i have a few requests and a few more half-complete drafts, so hopefully those should be up soon <3
Tumblr media
you supposed there were worse roommates out there. actually, thinking about it, you realized how lucky you were.
you got along really well with your roommate, gerard. he’d been sharing an apartment for nearly two years now, and you were sure you knew him better than you knew yourself.
you know he forgets to take the coffee pods out of the keurig, and sometimes he leaves the heater running for too long.
you don’t think you’ve ever seen him sleep. sometimes you wonder if he’s a vampire or something, what with the scribbling coming from his room at all hours of the night.
to be fair… you’re hardly any better. you sleep little more than he does, when you do fall asleep it’s usually on the couch, and you leave the television on all the time.
you’re incredibly lucky, you realize. lucky that he’s as sweet as he is, bringing you coffee in the mornings, and stopping by your job on his commute. he’s even slipped a few drawings your way. some are drawings of you, others are silly little doodles he gives you when you’re having a bad day. sometimes, he’ll show you characters for the comics he’s working on, asking for your input.
you realize that you’re lucky that he’s so helpful, that he’s not a creep, that you both get along so well. you’re lucky that you’ve found a friend who will sit and watch television reruns with you when neither of you can fall asleep.
that’s why you slip a record under his door one night. you don’t know if he even likes sinatra, but you give it to him anyway. there’s no special occasion really, you just thought of him when you found in the wee small hours in the record store you visited. you don’t sign your name on the post it you stuck to it. all you write is “from one insomniac to another”. you feel embarrassed for some reason you can’t place, and something slithers in your stomach. maybe you shouldn’t have given it to him…maybe he doesn’t like sinatra. it’s too late now though, it’s already done.
☠︎ ☠︎ ☠︎ ☠︎
it’s late one night…or early, depending on how you look at it. you’re tired, whatever movie you were watching forgotten and on mute. you can hear gerard milling around in the kitchen, you can smell the coffee he’s brewing. you’re tired, but you can’t fall asleep.
“thanks for the record” gerard called from the kitchen. “i really liked it”
you smile, one of those hazy tired smiles, the kind you do when you’re between being awake and asleep. “i didn’t know if you liked sinatra, i hope it’s ok”
you miss the way he grins at you, too busy yawning.
“it’s great i actually…” he walked off in the middle of his sentence, a habit you’d noticed he had, only to come back with the disk in his hands. “do you mind?”
it didn’t matter if you said no, he already turned to put it on, smiling back at you as he dropped the needle to the record.
“what are we watching?” he asked, sitting next to you on the couch. close enough to be touching you, but still far enough to give you space. it’s like a paradox, you think, but then you tell yourself to shut up. you’re too tired to know what you’re talking about.
“i dunno, i stopped paying attention.” your eyes flit to the movie playing on the television, watching the car chase for a moment before turning your attention back to him. “you’re going to keep yourself up all night drinking coffee this late.” you might have frowned at him if you weren’t too busy beaming.
he knew you were teasing, you could tell by the glint in his eye. “i just need a few finishing touches on my project and then i’m done.”
you didn’t say anything more for a while, taking a moment to take everything in. the record playing softly in the background as you curled closer to gerard. his head resting on yours as you listened to his breathing, memorizing the pace of his heart.
it’s quiet…intimate, and you’re tired. tired and happy.
“you tired?” he questions softly.
“a little,” you don’t know why you’re whispering.
“do you work tomorrow?”
“yeah, i open,” you groan, rubbing your eyes. you think you feel him press a kiss to the top of your head, but you don’t want to get your hopes up.
it’s quiet again, though this time it’s too quiet. you’re left with thoughts of gerard running through your head, and you wish that one of you would say something. you should be ashamed, you scold yourself, thinking of him the way you do when he’s sitting right next to you.
“what are you thinking about?” he prods gently. he’s soft with you, the way he always is, careful not to overstep with his questions.
“nothing really,” you lie, because you’d rather not risk what comfort you have now. “what are you thinking about?”
it seems like he didn’t expect the question to be turned back on him. he hesitates, and the silence is thick…too thick. his face is illuminated by the light from the tv, and he looks nervous. you don’t think you’ve ever seen him look quite as terrified as he does now. the lighting shifts, and he’s blanketed in darkness again, but you notice something change in his eyes.
“i think i love you” he whispers against your ear.
you feel like you can’t breathe. you think you heard him wrong. you’re worried this is all a dream, a good dream, the kind that would leave you reeling when you wake up.
you want to hear him say it again.
you lean your head back against his shoulder, and he breathes out with a shudder. you watch the explosions on tv as your hand finds his. “i love you too.”
that’s it then, everything is out in the open. maybe you’re tired, but you sigh gently as he cups your face in his hands. thinking back, you can’t exactly pinpoint when your feelings for him changed, but you suppose it doesn’t matter now. he loves you and you love him. it’s surprisingly simple.
“can i…?” he doesn’t need to finish his question as you lean in closer to him. his breath is warm, and he smells like coffee and sleepless nights, and you’re waiting for him. your eyes are closed as you breathe him in, and they stay that way as he kisses you softly.
he’s…soft, softer than you imagine, and you can’t help but smile.
in the wee small hours of the morning, he is yours, and you are his.

NAME : kuroo tetsurou , haikyuu
SONG : coming down , the weeknd
SUMMARY : at the training camp, everyone just wants to have a little fun. so, while the coaches are asleep, the teams have a game of hide and seek.
( sexual acts but not outright smut ❌ )
y/n sat on her bed, her hands behind her as she propped herself on her bed as yachi’s bed as right infront of hers, yachi talking to her as she sat crossed legged.
y/n was the manager of the nekoma team and operated with the team by herself, as she was the only manager. all the girls were up and it was around 12am, none of the girls wanted to sleep.
“guys let’s do something! i’m so bored.”
yukie whined, she was a manager for the fukurodani team. she sat next to y/n, wrapping an arm around y/n’s arm. and suddenly, like the universe heard her, a knock on the door was heard.
bokuto knocked about 5 times, opening the door and peaking into the room as he noticed the light that was pooling through the cracks of the door into the dark hallway, believing the managers were awake.
“hey hey hey, you guys wanna play hide and seek?”
-
all the teams were grouped inside the fukurodani team’s dorm, huddling together and y/n was pulled by kuroo towards him and kenma.
“hey cutie.”
“hi tetsurou.”
y/n smiled, getting nudged by kuroo as she put her hands in her pockets. y/n and him were dating, having dated for nearly a year now.
bokuto started explaining the rules as everyone started listening, well most, you could hear kuroo and y/n who kept talking to each other.
“hey! kuroo and y/n- shut up!”
“hah?? you shut up!”
“whatever! last one out the room is the seeker!”
people started rushing out of the room to not be the seeker, the door was shut by the second last person in the room, kenma was sitting on the floor, playing on his phone and finally noticing no one was in the room.
“huh?”
-
y/n had lost kuroo through the crowd of people who kept pushing her away from him, she tiptoed through the halls as they were empty in just a few minutes and she already heard small whispers coming near her.
she panicked, not knowing who the seeker was and thought it was the seeker, so she hid inside the storage closet, it was so dark and there was no light switch in sight.
she tucked herself in, from her panic, she didn’t notice how she was pushed against someone’s front, their breath hitching and her sudden presence as she pressed her ear against the door to listen for the people.
“you think they’re in here, kenma?”
“dunno.”
y/n could just make out hinata’s and kenma’s voice, until the door handle started being rattled, y/n backed up and finally noticed the person behind her, their hand covering her mouth as she held the hand, trying to pull it off.
“nevermind, it’s locked. probably not in here.”
hinata walked away, and y/n raised her eyebrow in the dark to the sound of the door being locked, she removed the hand from the random person’s hand and tried to open the door, and not being able to.
“well hi cutie.”
“tetsurou!”
y/n exclaimed, looking around and up to just make out his frame and face.
“are we stuck in here?”
kuroo questioned, also trying to unlock the door but not being able too. y/n’s hand went towards the darkness, trying to find the walls or maybe a light switch, she found a switch, lighting up and flicking it on, but the light was so dim, it barely made an effect, y/n could see kuroo now though.
“what are we gonna do now, cutie?”
y/n wanted to be the last hider, but she also didn't want to be in the closet forever.
"let's just wait a bit tetsu."
-
a bit became an hour, and y/n was convinced that everyone had forgotten about her and kuroo.
in that time, kuroo had made room on one of the lower shelfs and had lifted y/n onto the shelf. it let kuroo have room to turn and slightly move and y/n could sit as her legs were tired.
"soooo, have you liked the training camp?"
"yeah, it hasn't been bad.. sorry tetsu it's so boring in here."
"it's okay y/n. i'm bored too."
kuroo leaned towards y/n, his hands resting next to y/n's knees as she sat on the shelf and kuroo leaned so he could stretch in the small space.
"do you wanna do something?"
"like what?"
kuroo had that smirk on his face,
"make out."
"tetsu."
"what!? we always lose track of time when we make out."
"..okay fine."
kuroo had an excited smirk on his face now, but he pushed his lips against hers quickly, grabbing at her waist as she held her hands on his shoulders. he leaned over her more, getting impossibly the closest he could be to the girl and he started rubbing circles on her waist.
he separated from her, a string of spit connecting them.
"fuck, i'm been so horny the whole time you have no idea."
"you could've told me sooner, baby."
"i was worried someone was gonna find us-"
kuroo had his hands over y/n's hips, his eyes locked onto her shorts.
"can i?"
"you can.."
y/n muttered, wanting kuroo to do whatever. y/n shimmed her pants off with the help of kuroo, he was eager and bumped his head on the shelf above his head as he was too tall.
the both of them giggled a little, but eventually he got her pants off, leaving her in her panties. kuroo stared at the slick starting to pool in her panties.
"so wet for me, pretty?"
y/n nodded, her lips wobbling as kuroo connected his own lips with hers, swirling his tongue with hers and her tounge lapped against his lips, as they separated, saliva was present on his lips as he touched his lips to see.
"wanna eat you out so bad."
kuroo leaned into her ear, whispering and nibbling at the top of her ear, before trialing kisses down, along the side of her neck, from her chest over her shirt, to her stomach and just above her panties, his lips so close that y/n could feel the vibrations of his voice, jolting her core and pussy.
he pulled her panties to the side, her pussy glistening with slick, licking a small line of her pussy as she whimpered and her hands were grabbing at the edge of the shelf.
"can i eat you out?"
"yes tetsu, ngh~!"
"itadakimasu."

A Vulnerable Leader (Shiro X Male Reader)
Tumblr media
Living on a remote planet isn’t the most ideal, but it was far better then being revolved around the war that is happening in the cosmos. The scavenger often sees crashed spacecrafts on the planet. Most of the time, getting something good out of it. It wasn’t too exciting after a while, and living to see another day doesn’t seem a worry anymore. One day though, a spacecraft crashed on the solitude planet. Once Y/N get to the crash site, he’s quick to realized this is something else. Doing this for a long time, he knows Galra and other spaceships. This is something else entirely. It’s looks like an animal, with black and white colors.
Once he checked the spaceship out for danger, Y/N infiltrated in to see the driver. When he get to him, he notices that his vitals are still active, but it looks like he’s hurt, extremely. Once he carefully removed the helmet carefully, he sees that the man is a human, just like him. Curious as he is, he takes the fellow human to his shelter.
Days has passed. Shiro slowly opens his eyes, only to see a blur. He’s fully undressed, only down to his underwear. Once he get conscious, he notices the pain in his body as well and grunt out in pain.
“S-Shit…!” He hears a male voice, though a bit fainting. Some seconds later, he sees whoever it is. That’s when he sees a human man, around his age, though definitely younger. Shiro can’t help but wonder to think he’s back on Earth. “Give me a sec.”
His face disappears. After a few seconds, he feels a piercing pain in his neck. As his eyes move to the left, he realized that the man putted him to sleep. That’s the last thing he thought before getting back to sleep.
-
The second time Shiro wakes up, he instantly feels sluggish, though alive. Remembering what happened before the crash, Shiro tries his best to fully awake. He moves his head to the left, seeing the stranger’s back of a man. He tries to speak up, but can only make out some noise. Luckily, it did the trick and the scavenger looks back before walking over to him.
“Hey.” The man crouches next to the lying man. “Do you feel pain?” Shiro thinks about it, but only feel numb. He shakes his head a little. “Good. …It looks like I gave you too much and made you numb. Sorry, I got paranoid and thought you were going to die. It should be over around a day.” Shiro hums in respond, but he still wonders who he is, but can’t ask.
The scavenger notices his gaze looking at him, checking him out. “You’re safe. Don’t worry. I’m Y/N. I saw your spacecraft crashed and found you. Though I couldn’t flew it to here, sorry.” Y/N smiles a little, trying to make the other human feel a bit better. “Anyway, if you need something to eat or drink, just hum.”
-
A day later, and Y/N wake up once he heard a thud. He get out of his bed and to the other room, to see Shiro on the ground, panting tiredly. Y/N is quick to help him. “What happened!?” He helps Shiro stand up to see him sweat, despite the weather being chilly. Having a bad feeling, Y/N put the paladin back on the couch, put the blanket over his body and put his hand on his head. “You’re sick.”
“I’m… fine…” Shiro respond with some pants. He tries to stand up, but Y/N won’t allow him. “I need to go…”
“You just fell. No way I’m going to let you leave.” Y/N stands up to get some water.
“You don’t understand…” Shiro tiredly speaks up. “My friends are… looking for me… I’m a Paladin.”
“I dunno what that is.” Y/N walks back to Shiro and try to have the man drink, though Shiro merely grabs the bottle. “But I’m sure your friends find you dead in a ditch when they see you crashed in another planet.”
Shiro frowns as he drinks. “Do you got a radio or something else to contact-?”
“Nothing of the sort.” Y/N responds. Shiro looks disappointed. “I live here alone. Just take it easy and rest.”
Shiro wants to protest, but he doesn’t have the energy for it. Because of it, he merely closes his eyes as he right now he’s fighting his sickness instead of fighting the war.
-
The next day, Y/N checks up with the sick man. He’s still sick, sweating furiously and exhausted. But it’s better than yesterday, which is an improvement. Not just that, it appears Shiro could talk better.
“You feel a bit better?”
“I feel hazy…” Shiro mutters. His panting is less heavy. “But besides that, better…”
“Good.” Y/N grabs something to eat and drink for his temporary roommate.
As he does, Shiro looks at him. He still wonders about Y/N and where he is. But he asks before doing something else… “I’m Shiro…”
Y/N turns back. “Nice to meet you.” He continues grabbing the food. After putting in on a plate, he walks back to Shiro. He put the food down to the side, helping the man sit up before putting the plate on his lap.
In front of Shiro he sees something similar he eats back at the Castle, now confirming he isn’t on Earth. “Where are we?”
“On a planet. Dunno what it called. I just live here.” Y/N grabs a chair to sit besides Shiro, as he begins eating the food.
“But you’re human…”
“Got kidnapped by some aliens, but I escaped. You?”
Shiro hums. “Same…” He takes another bite from the food. “So… how long do you live here?”
“…I lost count.”
“Oh.” Shiro awkwardly looks at him. “Feel free when I’m better to join me…”
This reminds Y/N of something. “You said something about being a Paladin?”
Shiro hums softly. “Let me see how to explain this… You seen my Lion? My spacecraft.” Y/N hums. “Basically, there are 5 of them… each one has a pilot… We’re basically a squad that helps people across the universe.”
“So you’re a hero? That’s pretty cool.”
“Thanks.” Shiro smiles. “You’re one too, since you saved me…”
“You say that, but I would’ve just left you if you died.”
The Black Paladin chuckles. “Luckily I didn’t.”
-
The next day, and Shiro has his breakfast. Today, his disease managed to decreases a bit. He lost his haziness view, but he’s still sweating. With the lack of walking, his legs are a bit stiff. Still, things are looking up.
“I think tomorrow may be the day.”
“I hope so.” Shiro responds. “My friends are probably worrying sick about me. Still, I prefer looking a bit better.” He then sniffs, noticing something stinking. He then looks a bit embarrassed. “And maybe a shower… or two.”
Y/N chuckles. “I didn’t want to be rude… but I started breathing from my mouth two days ago.” Shiro laughs along, but is still embarrassed. “I don’t have a shower perse. I do have a bath, some water and a sponge.”
“That will do.”
-
In another room of the shelter, Shiro is in the bath with Y/N helping him clean up. The Black Paladin stays quiet, finding it a bit awkward being naked with someone he just met. Because of that, he makes a joke to lighten up the mood.
“Usually guys bathe me after the third date.”
Y/N laughs. “And how many baths are that? 100?”
Shiro looks up. “What do you mean by that?”
“Nothing. I just imagine someone with your appearance to be popular. That’s all.”
Shiro hums, looking back. “You could say that, but I prefer having a normal relationship instead of guy hunting.” That’s when Shiro remembers Adam, wondering how much he’s missing him. “I had a boyfriend back home.”
“Oh?”
“I haven’t seen him in so long.” Shiro begins sharing his trouble. “I wonder if he thinks I died.”
“Why would he think that?”
“Because I got caught by the Galra.” Shiro answers. “Nobody back on Earth knows what happened to me, but it’s likely they think I died during my mission.” He let out a sigh. “Do you think there is a chance he moved on?”
Y/N doesn’t know how to respond. “I’m not…”
“It’s alright.” Shiro mutters. He looks back at Y/N. “I’m sorry I had to put you on the spot. I shouldn’t said anything.”
“It’s alright. You can talk to me.”
“…I usually don’t talk about my problems.” Shiro confessed. “Since I’m the leader, I have to remain calm so others won’t panic. This is the first chance I could just say something about it.”
“I understand.” Y/N gives an reassuring smile. “I’m always here with open ears.”
Shiro smiles. He looks back at Y/N, his face close to his friend. “Thank you Y/N. You’re a kind guy.”
The two quietly look at each other. It didn’t take Shiro long to have his instincts kick in and kiss Y/N. Despite the nudity, the Black Paladin isn’t bothered with his position and merely let the purity of it take the wheel. He appreciate someone looking after him, after a long time looking for other people himself. It feels nice for a chance to be taken care of.
Shiro pulls back after kissing Y/N. With a nervous smirk, the man blushes a bit. “Sorry if I made you uncomfortable.”
Luckily, Y/N merely smiles. “Not at all.”
-
The next day, it’s time to leave the planet. Inside of the Black Lion, Shiro is finally wearing his clothes. Y/N stands besides him, grabbing the chair for support.
“Are you going to miss this place?”
“Years of isolation and survival? Not at all.” Y/N looks quiet excited to leave. “And now I can finally get back to other people.”
“About that… You know we’re just with 5 people in total, in terms of humans.”
“Still better than being alone.”
Shiro smiles, agreeing with him. “Then we leave. Any last one words?”
“No.”
“Then let’s go.”

Y/N (8:35am) Oh, sorry I fell asleep
Jason Uh huh It has nothing to do with the fact that I asked if you wanted to go for breakfast
Y/n Mm don’t know what you’re talking about And isn’t there a rule where a guy has to wait a least three days Before you ask the girl out again
Jason Apparently My brother advised me the same thing But since I could care less what he thinks about my relationship I have decided to ignore him and take the plunge and ask you anyways Besides he barely listens to his own advice So to each their own I guess

Jason Don’t you have class tomorrow?
Y/N Not until the afternoon
Jason Work?
Y/n Not until Tuesday
Jason Huh
Y/n Yup tbh I rather spend my Sunday with you then go home But it’s family and I can’t say no to my sister
Jason I get that family’s first But I would choose you over my family
Y/n … You can’t just say that!
Jason But flustering you is becoming my favourite past time
Y/n Get a new one!
Jason Nah, don’t think I will Okay, so no breakfast How about I drop you off at the station?
Y/N Tempting But if you do, then I’ll miss the train Because I wanna kiss your stupid face And besides, I’m almost there
Jason My face isn’t stupid … You wanna kiss me? Colour me flattered
Y/n I rescind my statement
Jason Can’t do that, it’s in writing Hold on, when you said you were sleeping You were actually packing, weren’t you?
Y/N Guilty I’m sorry I’ve spent thirty minutes debating on whether or not to ditch my family for you
Jason But in the end you’re ditching me Feels like your running from something I see how it is
Y/N I’m sorry D: I’m not running away or anything
Jason It’s okay, really I’m not mad or anything Okay, maybe a little disappointed But he’s your dad and you don’t know when’s the next time you see him So it’s okay, don’t feel bad I’ll wait around until your back And I know your not, I just took the joke too far and I’m sorry
Y/n I’m still sorry
Jason Can I call you?
Y/N Uhhhhhhh Give me a minute
Jason Take as much time as you need I can wait
Y/n Sweet of you But I needed to find a seat first And then my headphones
Jason So You’re good now?
Y/n Yup
It didn’t take more than a second before your phone rang after you sent the message.
“I thought you wanted to call?” you answered, moving your phone so Jason could see your face. He shrugged, shooting you a smile.
“Wanted to see your pretty face is all,” he said, and you could feel your face heat up at the compliment. Averting your eyes, you sink in your seat, trying to hide your face in your sweater. “Awe, is this what you look like when you get flustered? There’s no way I can't stop flustering you now. If this is what your reaction is going to be every time I do.”
“I’m hanging up now,” you mumbled into your sweater, and wondered if he heard that. Judging by the smile he gave you, he did.
“Nah, I don’t think so. You called my face pretty and you wanted to kiss it,” he said. That made you come out of your sweater and glared at him.
“I think I said stupid face,” you corrected, “you have a stupid face.”
“That you want to kiss,” Jason pointed out with a smile. You stuck out your tongue at him, making him laugh. “How’s the train ride?”
You shrugged, shifting in your seat trying to get comfortable. “A train ride I guess. We just left the station and it’ll be two hours until we get to Metropolis? My butts gonna hurt once I get there.”
“Gotta walk around once in a while,” Jason reminded, “did you bring anything for the ride?”
“Yeah, homework I still need to finish, my sketchbook and some books I’ve been meaning to read.”
“Sounds like a party,” Jason joked. You huffed out a laugh.
“Oh yeah, real life of the party over here.”
Before either of you could continue, you faintly heard a door slamming open and closing before hearing a faint call of Jason! You promised me breakfast! From what you could make out, it was a female voice and you pushed down the bout of jealousy that came from nowhere. You didn’t have the right to be jealous. Jason wasn’t yours, he was his own person and you two weren’t seeing each other officially. He was free to do what he pleased. Still, you couldn’t lie and say that it didn’t hurt.
You watched as Jason scowled, and turned towards the voice. “Yeah, give me a minute I’m on the phone.”
You schooled your features and raised an eyebrow as he turned back to his phone. “You already had breakfast plans, yet you still tried to make them with me? Wow Jason, didn’t know you had that in you.”
“Okay, first of all, I’m not a two timing bitch,” he clarified and you blanched at the statement. Damn, and you thought you hid it well. “And like I said before, I’d ditch my family for you any day of the week without question.”
“Aw Jason, you’d ditch your own sister! I see how it is,” the female voice said. Jason made a face as a blond haired girl came into frame, hanging off of Jason’s shoulders. Her nose pressed into his cheek and she smiled. “Tell me how you really feel, Jason.”
“Okay, I will,” he said, shoving her off, “you’re an annoying little shit.” She laughed and turned towards the phone. She was pretty, you had to admit.
“Oh, Tim’s right. You are cute,” she said, and you pulled your sweater over your mouth, trying to keep a laugh in as Jason looked offended.
“Steph!” he yelled, shoving her face out of frame. “Go away.”
“No, you promised me breakfast last night, and I demand pancakes,” she said, coming back in, shoving Jason out of frame as she did so. She turned to you and smiled. “Hello, I’m Jason’s sister Stephanie. You must be Y/N, it’s nice to meet you. I’ve heard virtually nothing about you.”
“And I’m trying to keep it that way,” he grunted, pushing her away. The two fought until finally they settled with Stephanie leaning on his shoulder. “How’d you even know their name?”
“Tim,” she answered. You raised your eyebrow in question. “He gets bored when he has nothing to do. And he decided to snoop around Jason’s life.”
“Well I’ll try not to be offended,” you said, though you furrowed your brows in concern. “Should I be worried?”
“I don’t think so,” Stephanie hummed, “not unless you have something to hide.”
“Do you have something to hide?” Jason pressed, a teasing smile dancing on his lips. You puffed out your cheeks and looked away.
“Oooh you do,” Stephanie sang, “tell us before we find out from Tim.”
“Tim needs to mind his own fucking business,” you muttered to yourself, causing Jason to laugh. “And no, I have nothing to hide. Lived a pretty boring life.”
“Don’t know, you tried killing your sister once,” Jason mused.
“I didn’t try on purpose! I pushed her off the deck into the lake,” you corrected, “and my dad got to her before anything could happen. Man, he was pissed. I feared for my life that day. I’ve never known fear until I saw the look he gave me.” You shuddered at the memory.
“How old were you?” Stephanie asked, worry laced in her words. You shrugged, staring at the corner of your phone, avoiding their gaze.
“Ten I think? Could be younger, I don’t know. Thought it would be funny, and it was until it wasn’t.”
“Did he hurt you?” Jason asked, you shook your head and moved your gaze to him.
“No. But the way he looked, he wanted to. If we were alone he probably would have. I booked it into the car and hid there until we went home. Then I hid in my room for the rest of the day.”
“Yikes. Why was he so mad? Bruce wouldn’t have been if we did something like that.”
“That’s because we knew how to take care of ourselves and we knew how to swim,” Jason pointed out.
“And he probably doesn’t have favourites,” you chimed in. You hummed in thought, ignoring the worried looks the two siblings were giving you. “But he doesn’t strike me as picking a favourite among his kids, unless he’s really good at hiding it. But no parent is that good at hiding that.”
“Have experience, do you?” Jason asked, you only hummed not wanting to elaborate. You aren’t sure how, but what was supposed to be a lighthearted conversation turned sour. You scrunched up your nose as a thought occurred to you. If it was this easy to talk to both Jason and Stephanie, you were afraid how the rest of his family would be. “Whatcha thinking about?”
“What you guys are having for breakfast,” you said instead of you voicing your thoughts.
“Ooh yes. I did come here for breakfast,” Stephanie said, as if she had forgotten the reason for being here. She turned to him and poked his cheek. “Make me pancakes with bacon and ham and eggs and everything.”
“How can you eat so much and not gain anything,” Jason grumbled as he moved off the couch and towards the kitchen. Stephanie shifted slightly so she was more centered to the camera.
“I work out,” she simply said with a shrug. Jason grumbled something, and since he was too far away you couldn’t hear what he said. “So, how’d you meet Jason anyways? Tim won’t say and Jason doesn’t want to talk about you when asked.”
“That’s because you pester me so much that I don’t want to talk about them,” Jason called, “and you don’t have to answer anything you want too, Y/N. Don’t let Stephanie bully you into answering questions.”
“It’s okay, Jason, I don’t mind. I know what it’s like to have siblings,” you said with a smile. “We met online. Started talking a few weeks back and haven’t stopped since.”
“Ah, you guys are still new,” Stephanie mused, “that means you can still back out before you guys get too serious.” You laughed at the same time Jason yelled hey! “Kidding, I’m kidding. I haven’t seen Jason happy in awhile. Please stick around, he’s more bearable when he’s happy.”
You watched as Jason stalked towards her, and plucked the phone from her. “If all you came here for was to make fun of me, you can go home without your food.”
“Noooo, Jason I’m sorry,” you heard Stephanie whine. And you couldn't be sure, but you saw Stephanie grovel a little bit on the floor. Although Stephanie couldn’t see Jason’s expression, you could and smiled at the little smile he shot you.
“Then go take a shower, you stink,” he said, and she was quick to race to the bathroom. “Your clothes are still here from last time!” he called and set the phone down so watch him as he prepared breakfast. “Sorry about her. I completely forgot she was coming over today.”
“No worries,” you dismissed, watching in awe as Jason cut up some vegetables with ease. “She was fun to talk to.”
“Prefer her over me, huh?”
“Nope. I like you more,” you said. “Where’d you learn how to cook?”
“Alfred taught me when I was young, and I kept going afterwards. Found it helped me when things got too stressed,” he explained. “Stress cooking is a lot healthier than other ways to deal.”
“I get that,” you mused, “I stress clean.”
“Nothing wrong with that,” he grunted. He stopped for a moment and looked towards you; eyes narrowed. “Did you have breakfast this morning?” You bit the top of your lip and avoided looking at him. “Y/N,” Jason said in warning.
“It was too early to eat!” you cracked, “I had a coffee and that was it.” Jason shook his head, going back to his food.
“I hope you eat something soon.”
“I packed some snacks. But they’re nothing compared to what you’re making for breakfast.”
“Well next time actually eat something or else I’ll just have to come over and cook for you.”
“That a threat?”
“No, more like a promise.”
“I’ll hold you to that,” you said with a smile.
“Stop flirting and cook me my food!” Stephanie yelled after the quickest shower you have ever seen someone take.
“So fucking demanding,” Jason grunted as you laughed.
“I should let you go so you can focus on the food instead of getting distracted,” you mused.
“But you’re the only kind of distraction I’d like,” he said, and you heard Stephanie gag. Laughing, you shook your head, trying to keep from blushing. “Okay maybe you’re right. Or otherwise, I’m going to throw Steph out the window.”
“Ha! I would like to see you try!”
Jason rolled his eyes and flicked them towards you. “Let me know when you’re there?”
“I can do that.”

Cramps
Tumblr media
This is such a common and typical prompt so I’m sorry about that :( I just be cramping so bad today and I could use some Joe hugs <3 plus my creative juices have been all drank up because of classes starting again
——
“Babe, what’s wrong?” Joe soothed you awake, noticing the discomfort on your face.
“Bad cramps,” you were able to spit out from your mostly sleeping state.
“Can I do anything for you?” He asks, pulling you into him. It was about 9am, a normal time for you two to get up.
“Dunno. Hurts too much to think,” you said, nuzzling into his chest. He wrapped both arms around you, rubbing your lower back.
Your cramps used to be horrible. Fainting and vomit inducing bad. After switching off birth control and getting an IUD, they’re a lot better, but still are super painful when they arrive.
Most of the time, Joe is able to tell when your period is coming. Your attitude changes and your energy levels drop. It’s not that he wasn’t expecting this, which he was, he just always felt so bad and wished he could take your pain away.
When your body relaxed a little, Joe unwrapped his arms from around you. “Let’s get you some food baby so we can get you some midol. Sound okay?” He asked, stroking your face. You nodded in response.
Getting up, Joe slipped on his grey sweatpants and headed downstairs to start a small and simple breakfast. You slowly got up to follow him down to the kitchen.
“Y/n, you didn’t have to come down here with me,” Joe says as he watches you sit down on a bar stool at the kitchen island.
“I know, but I don’t really want to wallow in bed all day. Sometimes getting up and moving helps,” you reply, grabbing the glass of water Joe passed you. Of course, it wasn’t helping much this time around.
Joe made you a quick breakfast of 2 frozen waffles and a few strips of bacon. You ate slowly in hopes of not upsetting your stomach. As you ate, Joe grabbed you some midol that you gulped down with the almost empty glass of water.
After finishing your breakfast, you set your plate in the sink and walked toward the couch. You opted to lay down and close your eyes for a bit in hopes that the midol might kick in by the time you wake up.
Joe knew you were uncomfortable and he really truly hated to see you even in the slightest amount of pain. He came over to the couch where you were resting your eyes. He softly lifted your head so he could sit down below it. One of your favorite things was to get to rest your head on Joe’s thick and squishy thighs. There was just something about those thighs…
Joe played with your hair and gave your scalp some small scratches. After a bit, he began to caress your cheek to wake you up softly. Your eyes fluttered open to meet his gorgeous blue eyes. A small smile formed on your lips.
“Has the midol helped any?” He asked, leaning down to lay a kiss on your forehead.
“Slightly, now my body is just tired,” you said, turning to face his stomach.
He stroked at that side of your head now, knowing how much you loved it when you weren’t feeling the best, cramps or not.
“How about a small walk?” He suggested, watching to see how you might react.
“That might be nice even though I’m exhausted. I really hate how tired this shit makes me. It’s so unfair,” you groaned, sitting up to go put on one of Joe’s hoodies and a pair of leggings. His smell always warmed your heart and he knew that any of his hoodies always felt like an extra hug for you.
“Got your shoes on?” Joe called from the kitchen, grabbing for a rain jacket.
“Working on it now Joey,” you responded, standing up to head toward the garage. Joe draped his extra rain jacket along your back and you slid your arms in. A little drizzle never hurt nobody, right?
The garage door opened to the crisp air, causing a small shiver to leave your body. Eventually, it felt great. A slow stroll was just what you needed. Sometimes, Joe had the perfect solutions.
Hand in hand, you and Joe strolled down the street, making small conversation. These types of walks were rejuvenating for your low energy. Especially as a rain loving human, a drizzle was the perfect weather for a stroll.
Approaching the house, Joe asked what else might be helpful for you. “I mean, snuggles and Netflix sound pretty great right about now,” you said as Joe punched in the garage door code.
“Done and done baby, go get comfy and I’ll bring some snacks,” he tapped your ass and watched you head for the couch, knowing that some snuggles would actually help physically and not just emotionally.
Joe approached the couch, grabbing your favorite blanket from the blanket ladder he had build for you. He dropped a small amount of your favorite snacks on the coffee table and cracked open your bottle of water.
You knew to get up so Joe could lay down on your wide-seated couch. As Joe got comfy, you took off his hoodie to reveal one of his large bengals shirts. You didn’t want to get too warm in Joe’s arms, especially if you were comfortable and didn’t feel like moving.
Joe opened his arms and motioned for you to join him. There was absolutely no hesitation there. His legs were spread wide enough for your body to lay, head relaxing on his chest. He spread the blanket over the two of you, nearly perfect the first time around.
“Thanks for taking care of me, Burrow. I’m sorry if I’ve been short and mean with you lately. I really don’t mean to and I really love and appreciate you,” you sighed into his chest.
“Baby, you know I’d do anything for you. I just want you to feel better,” he leaned down to kiss the top of your head.
Getting a show going caused your mind to disconnect from the world and your body to relax on top of Joe’s warm body. Fluttering your eyes shut, you took a short nap on your sweet and caring boyfriend.
——
This is ass I’m so sorry y’all haha I promise I’ll have some more ideas flowing soon!!!
