headcanon, playlist & aesthetic — hygiene habits? 

summary: after moving out of knight dorms, gyujeong got a place of his own as soon as possible. one of the places he spent the most time decorating / planning out was his bathroom. it took multiple renovations because he kept changing it throughout the years, but now hovers over the monochrome minimalistic bases which he considers the “finished product”. playlist summary: as mentioned, the bathroom was something gyujeong takes very good care of and oddly enough it’s one of the rooms he spends the most time in. the long time spent is predominantly due to his showers — shower time equates to music time as he crafts his playlist on the weekly. the songs aren’t meant to rove over lost feelings or anything deep. instead, it’s meant to be fun since showering is one of his favorite things to do and he’d rather not think about knight / bc / personal issues. it’s safe to say this playlist doesn’t last longer than a month, and most times the songs are only listened to in the shower (for no real reason, just that it’s titled the ‘shower playlist’). warnings: none wc: 700

i’ve mentioned in the description, but showering is one of gyujeong’s hobbies. he takes very good care of his hygiene? but what i mean by this is that his place isn’t spic and span, and you won’t see him splurge on a 12 step skin care routine.

instead, he’s just generally clean about his house but especially clean about his bathroom

perhaps, it’s an effect of being in the knight dorms and having to share a bathroom for a long time? but anyways, once he moved out he was really into making his bathroom, his.

this meant a few iterations of the bathroom — it started off the woodsy, minimalistic type ish, but he didn’t like that because the wood showers took forever to dry and he didn’t like the added humidity. so, he opted to change it to marbling

this is his bathroom and nobody else really comes in here, so he’s customized it to his liking. there’s candles, weird shaped soaps and two different showers in the case one is wet by the time he gets in for his second shower.

he takes at least one shower a day, and it usually comes in the morning — that’s part of his morning routine where he has to be in the shower before leaving. even if it’s early on-call for knight promotions, he’ll take a shower before going to the salon

then, you have when he has “schedules”. in that case, he’ll take anywhere from two to three showers, just to get the stuff off his face / hair.

as stated, he doesn’t have a fancy skin care routine — just toner and moisturizer once he gets out, and a bit of sunscreen when he remembers. however, where he does have a strict routine is when he gets in his shower.

it starts with washing his hands with bar soap first. he wants his hands to be clean for when he showers — this is an oddity i don’t think anyone knows? at least, not his inner circle. but he uses bar soap to wash his hands first as soon as he gets in.

then the shampooing — hair wash first. (it’s a habit because he’s used to having gunk in his hair from styling, so he wants to get that off as soon as possible.) 

side note: he judges people who don’t know the difference between rinse and treatment. he has those because his hair’s dyed so much and he’s basically a natural blonde. so, he’ll do rinse and treatment, and let the latter linger in his hair till he finishes the rest

then, he’ll wash his hands again because shampoo =/= body wash. 

then he moves onto his body — his pet peeve ? not really a pet peeve bc he doesn’t see it, but if he hears that someone doesn’t wash their feet in the shower and just assumes the water dripping down cleans it, he’ll side eye and judge so hard. because he thinks people need to wash their feet meticulously 

anyways, that all gets done and he makes sure to use one of those scrubbers? idk what they’re called in english, but the green thing you use to rub off dead skin cells. he uses that to get rid of the dead skin and he really hates the feeling of scratchy skin. tid bit insert: gyu has really soft baby skin

brushes his teeth in the shower type of guy too

then hand wash again before he rinses off the treatment

his face, he uses just whatever cleaner he has lying around and does this at the last step because he doesn’t like the thought of washing his face only to remains of the treatment or body wash out of his face

once he gets out of the shower, he lotions up bc no flaky skin in his house before putting on a robe and heading to his closet.

he’ll towel dry the floor where there’s droplets of water.

overall, i’d say as much as he loves fish and aquatic animals, he’s no saint to the cause. he uses so much water, and takes long ass showers because that is his hobby lmao
