Hello Duka!

I've been in a lot of travels these past few days and it included the one I had where I was transcend to Duka Bay Resort located in the heart of Medina town of Misamis Oriental.

In line, I really absorbed several realizations while I was there so it's really nice to share some of my experiences and also, on what I've found out.

Living in an urban place where life seems so hectic would cause too much pressure and exhaustion. In here, pictures like busy traffic, gray smokes and serious people would fill one’s eyes. In a short while, he also need to leave this kind of lifestyle and explore something that would transcend him to a place where he is free from pressure and busy sight.

Duka Bay Resort is a place located away from the city. It is a perfect venue for relaxation. Anyone who wants to escape tiring city life is highly invited, for the place can be considered as a perfect hide out. At first sight, the resort will give one the view of the wide, blue sea reflecting the colors of the sky directed opposite in it. In its shore are fine white sands. Trees are also abundant which give cool and refreshing mood in the place.

                   There are also restaurants and souvenir shops. Aside from that, a number of fully-furnished and air-conditioned beach houses are available. Most of these rooms have two double or queen-size beds, a refrigerator, a balcony or patio with easy furniture and a fully appointed bathroom with a selection of amenities.

Duka Bay Resort also provides area for adventurous individuals who like to explore more about nature. The resort contains one of the most beautiful marine sanctuaries of Mindanao. Kilometres away from the shore are teeming coral community where colorful tropical fish and turtles swimming along the reefs can be found. There are also underwater spring and caves in there.

   Tourists can also get Scuba Courses.  Diving lessons are offered to divers and non-divers alike where certification from Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) can be acquired. Some of these courses can take tourists to popular Duka underwater sites: the Paradise, Aquarium and Japanese Garden. Other extensive courses will transcend one further out to the deep sea and dive sites off the beautiful island of Camiguin.

PADI certification can also bring adventurous individuals to exciting dive tour packages at the resort.

Boating is also famous in the place through the use of kayaks, bancas, aqua bikes and glass bottom boats. This activity also gives the benefit of exploring the Sipaka and Mantigue Islands.

These activities will give any visitor the experience of fun, delight and enjoyment. Adventures are rare and unique enticing each tourist to come back and experience more fun along Duka Bay. Moreover, the place will open one’s eyes that there is more than to life and it is the experience and adventures.

My attendance in Duka Bay is all about the 2013 Explore MisOr Tourism Summit, and here is Misamis Oriental Governor Bambi Emano. He is delivering his speech. The tourism summit aims to gather support from various sector in order to develop tourism spots and tourism spot potentials as well. MisOr eyes spot for tourism rank in the country.

The Misamis Oriental Provincial Government together with the partners. Some government agencies, NGOs and businesses extend their support for the development projects of various tourist sites in MisOr.

And of course, I also asked my colleague, Ate Candy, to take pictures on me. I'm sorry if some are blurred, Ate admitted that she's not an expert on DSLR.

She is Ms. Celeste Dosdos, the chairman of the summit. Isn't she beautiful? and tall too, like a model. She made me feel like a dwarf in this picture. Hehe.

And I did a lot of recordings there, with the speech and all. I also asked questions during the press con and it feels great!

HOW TO GET IN DUKA BAY RESORT

1. From Cagayan de Oro City (Agora Terminal), ride a bus bound for Butuan.

2. Ask the driver to drop you off in Medina and the nearest place in there in going ro Duka Bay.

3. Walk the pathway going in the resort. It's only meters away.
