Tsuzuru: Hello. I’m Tsuzuru Minagi, from MANKAI Company’s Spring Troupe.

Tasuku: I’m Tasuku Takato from the Winter Troupe.

Tasuku: Thank you for watching MANKAI Company’s Second Mixed Troupe performance, “Run around the field.”.

Tsuzuru: From here on is a bonus video featuring free talk between the lead and co-lead.

Tsuzuru: We’ll be happy if this special stream and free talk teaches you more about our company and this performance.

Tasuku: “Run around the field.”’s theme is soccer…

Tasuku: All 4 actors participating in this play are members of the company’s soccer club, and are teammates who play soccer and futsal together on the regular.

Tsuzuru: Both our role-building and rehearsals consisted of doing nothing but playing soccer.

Tsuzuru: After practice, we’d go to a bath-house. And after the bath, we’d drink milk and discuss how the day’s practice went.

Tasuku: Well, that’s pretty much what I usually do, but because I was also conscious of my role, the points I had to pay attention to were different.

Tsuzuru: Right. For me… I worked out as I wondered what kind of menu Kubota would follow, and for how many hours he would work out.

Tsuzuru: That reminds me. Tasuku-san, you were working out so much that Yuki had to warn you about it.

Tasuku: Ahhh... I got fired up while preparing for the role, and before I knew it, my thighs’ size had increased.

Tasuku: The costume’s design wasn’t too tight, so it worked out one way or another.

Tsuzuru: I think everyone except you was too nervous to check their sizes back then.

Tasuku: Before we knew it, we had to cut down on training.

Tsuzuru: Ah~... Talking about this performance is making me want to play soccer. 

Tasuku: Me too. Should we call Fushimi and Izumida after this?

Tsuzuru: Let’s do that. 

Tsuzuru: Everyone, if you get the chance to, please try playing soccer.

hello i hope you're recovering well from your adventures in bank fraud! unrelatedly to that i would probably recommend posting screenshots of the raw JP whenever you do mtls so that other people can corroborate the accuracy of the mtl and if you're confused about stuff other people can see what you're referring to bc JP is super contextual about things and also sometimes the OCR just flat out gets things wrong or uses the wrong character set

i'd also not recommend using google's instant OCR thing (the one where it directly translates your camera feed live and puts the translated text into the picture) bc the mtl gets even shakier, though i know it's more tedious that way to copy the text manually

you're right, I should really be sharing my sources for the translations 😓 I'm not sure that many people will be seeing them anyway but it couldn't hurt, I'm very transparent about the fact that I have no idea what I'm doing and would be happy if someone with more knowledge cared to step in and clarify. At the same time this is sort of by design, I'm not trying to run a thorough archive blog where I compile and translate every scrap of lore in an efficiently organized system; I'm literally just hoarding things I like and commenting on them to whatever extent feels comfortable as a hobby fan. But that doesn't mean I can't source things better, I don't wanna deny credit where it's due.

As for the instant OCR, do you mean the one where you upload a photo and it tries to put the translated text into the photo? Unfortunately that's been the best method for me so far because archive.org's OCR is WAY worse, it misses and rearranges and deletes characters all the time. I was originally copying and pasting that into Google Translate but I've been getting more comprehensible results with the photo one, though like you said I'm sure there's still plenty of inaccuracies. My biggest problem with that method though is that it doesn't tell you what it's reading, it only gives you the translated text and not a complete script of what it originally lifted from the page 😓 If you know of a better method to try I'd be down for it! Though I don't think I could manually type in what I see, the fact that I literally Cannot Read Any Japanese would mean spending hours on a single sentence and frankly I just do not have that much time or patience on my hands. This is just a hobby.

I've been saying for the longest that Antis are the main ones blowing things out of proportion MOST of the time. Most Tomdaya fans are NOT tagging Tom and Z or family members and friends in "Tomdaya tea" or screenshots. Antis are doing that.

Granted, I'll admit that SOME Tomdaya 1.0 fans tried to "OUT" Tom and Z in the past by tagging them, and inquiring about their "hanging out", and I've NEVER felt that doing that was right. 🥴 It was crossing the line imo. I think some fans really wanted them to be outed and tried to unfortunately force that, and that wasn't right. And while I would have loved to have seen them go public, I think MOST Tomdaya fans these days have chilled out, and don't care if they go "public" or not.

I'm not sure about other fans, but at least for me, I know that personally now days, I'm a MUCH more chill shipper. If TZ are indeed seriously dating each other again, I don't care if they EVER "come out" these days lol (especially given their recent experiences with "going public" with other ppl lol 👀). I don't even care if antis believe that they are a thing or not. Like, I honestly DON'T CARE anymore lol. 🤣😅

All I care about is that Tom & Z are both HAPPY (which, they appear to be), and my biggest joy is that they're on GOOD terms with each other again...whether friendship-wise, or romantically. It honestly doesn't matter anymore. Imo we already "won" when they spent Thanksgiving together again. 🥰

And yea, I agree with you.... if Antis really believed that they were "just friends", they wouldn't be breaking their backs lurking on Tomdaya blogs or sipping the tea as SOON as we get it lol 😏. If they REALLY believed that Tom and Z were "just friends", they would simply just ignore our ship.... plain and simple. And they wouldn't talk badly about it either, because why would you hate two ppl who are "just friends"? It's so funny too how "Tomdaya fans" have been blamed for EVERYTHING...... from the trio NOT taking fan pictures together, to the covid-19 pandemic 🙄. OK... I'm exaggerating.... But you get my point. Has it ever occurred to anyone that even Tom and Jacob haven't taken a shot together with each other either? Is that due to Tomdaya fans also? 🥴

In case some haven't noticed, most of the cast members are being VERY secretive about this 3rd movie. Some are posting stuff, and then QUICKLY deleting it... etc. This has been happening since the beginning! Even Jamie had posted his announcement of involvement in the movie, then deleted quickly. Barely any of the high school cast has posted anything on set. Like c'mon..... this isn't due to "Tomdaya fans". 🙄 Sony and Marvel are being extremely secretive with this film.

But of course, nobody mentions that.

Bottom line....I keep saying that Tom and Z are gonna do what THEY want to do, regardless of what fans say or do. So all of these ppl who are "scared" that shipping is going to somehow "ruin" Tom and Z's friendship with each other can just save their concern trolling for smthg else, because obviously them being shipped together for YEARS hasn't "ruined" their friendship in the least. 😏 Their breakup caused a little tension, but "shipping" never ruined their friendship, and I don't think it ever will. If fans are being super disrespectful and rude to their separate significant others while they're dating other people, then that could cause some issues.... but otherwise, other than that? Naaaa....

And if so, somebody needs to tap Tom on the shoulder and tell him so that he can minimize his comments about Z lol 😆 😂
