đ Sexiest Man Alive đ
November 19th, 2008
          New York City, New York
       Â
⨠Author's Note: In this one shot, for story purposes, Hugh is not married. We'll say he divorced from Deb recently to keep the flow of the story.
I double checked my appearance in the mirror before heading out. Today is the day I will be interviewing Hugh Jackman for his People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive crowning. The interview will be filmed and broadcasted live on national television. I decided to go business casual, wearing black capri slacks, a white and pink flowered cami tank top with black 6-inch heels. My dark brown hair was shoulder length and wavy. My makeup was flawless. To say nervous would be an understatement whenever you're interviewing someone that's been named the sexiest man alive.
Everything seemed perfect, so I rushed out to my 2008 Ford Mustang and sped off to our studio in downtown NYC. Traffic was hectic, but I managed to get there with 25 minutes to spare to go over the interview questions before our guest of honor arrives. One question in particular stood out to me, it was a question pertaining to his sexuality due to circulating rumors that he's gay. I'm normally shameless, but this would be an awkward thing to ask him.
"You ready?" My co-worker/camera man Justin asked, stepping in front of me.
I nodded, "As I'll ever be! Just going over some of the questions. 'How do you feel about the circulating rumors of you being gay?', 'What turns the sexiest man alive on?', Justin, what the hell are these questions?" I asked with a humorous horrified look spreading across my face.
He failed to contain his laughter, "I didn't write 'em, I just control the cameras."
I shuffled the cards, "This is going to be the weirdest interview. This dude is probably going to leave the set mid interview." I laughed.
Justin shook his head, "Hugh is a pretty good sport. He should take it in a humorous way. You should be good. He'll be here any minute, so get ready."
I nodded, "Alright."
I stood to double check the set and make sure the props were in their correct location, making sure the set was clean and presentable before sitting back down in my chair. I stood back up, hearing an Australian accent coming from the hallway, that must be Mr. Jackman.
"Glad to be here, mate. Thanks for havin' me." He said, shaking hands with our producer Mack, while walking into my view.
Mack smiled and pointed in my direction while walking Hugh up to me, "Mr. Jackman, this is Kaitlyn. She'll be doing your interview."
I smiled, extending my hand out to Hugh, "Hi, nice to meet you. I'm a huge fan and honored to be doing your interview today, Mr. Jackman."
He gave me a smile, shaking my hand, "Call me Hugh. Nice to meet ya, Sweetheart."
I can see why he was voted sexiest man alive now. No photoshop or CGI needed. This man was cut. He had the most beautiful smile I'd ever seen and did not look a day over 28 despite just turning 40 last month. He was wearing dark colored blue jeans with a white t-shirt adorned with a black blazer that made his biceps pop. I could swear the temperature in the room went up at least 20 degrees since he'd walked in.
As we sat down, I noticed him smiling at me and looking me up and down as if he were checking me out. I smiled back while grabbing the cue cards with the questions for the interview and looked towards Justin, who gave me a slight nod to let me know we were rolling,
I smiled from ear to ear as the camera zoomed in on only me, "Good afternoon, New York! Today's guest was just crowned People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive of the year. You can purchase his edition today in stores. Please allow me to welcome Mr. Hugh Jackman!"
The camera zoomed out showing Hugh and I both sitting in the chairs at the small table separating us. I looked over smiling in his direction, allowing him to speak.
He gave a huge smile towards the camera and then towards me, "Thank you for having me! How're you doing today?" He asked.
I smiled, "I'm great. How are you? How have things been since being named People's Sexiest Man Alive?"
"They've been quite interesting. I was told Brad Pitt wasn't available this year." He said with a cheeky laugh.
I failed to contain my laughter, "I believe a lot of people feel that you've earned the title, especially given your portrayal of Wolverine in Marvel's X-Men."
I could see him blushing, "Honestly, things have been great. I just finished up a movie with Nicole Kidman called Australia, which comes out next week. We're pretty pumped for that."
I shifted in my seat, "How was filming that with Nicole?"
He got serious for a moment, "It was great. She's a good friend of my ex wife's, so it was a bit awkward at first, but overall a great experience. Shooting the film back home in Australia was exciting."
I nodded, "We'll be sure to check that out next week once it premiers." I felt a slight smirk appear on my lips, "Okay, now for the good stuff you all have been waiting for. Juicy questions for the sexiest man alive. Are you ready for this, Hugh?" I asked with as much confidence as I could possibly muster.
He giggled, "Baby, I'm always ready. Let's go."
I took a dramatic deep breath for dramatic effect, "Alright, so given you're now the sexiest man alive, what are some of your turn-ons? What's something you find sexy in a woman?"
He chuckled, giving me a smirk, "Oh, getting a bit cheeky, are we? You waste no time." He noticed me trying to keep a straight face and continued, "What turns me on? I'd have to say confidence, a strong woman that can sometimes put me in my place. I also love a woman in summer clothing. I'm from Australia, I love the outdoors, I love the water. I feel like a woman comfortable in her own skin, enjoying herself on the beach is very attractive to me."
I smiled with a nod, shuffling the cards in my hands, "Good answer."
He smirked at me, shifting in his seat, "I have a question for you. When are we heading to the beach?"
I looked a bit flustered, "I didn't know we were! But I'm happy to go with you any time!" I said with a small laugh.
He chuckled, "Dually noted." He tapped his forehead as if he were retaining the information.
This man was gorgeous. I'm sure he's just being funny for the camera, but I'm still enjoying this.
Attempting to stop chuckling, I went with the next question, "So Hugh, what do you make of the circulating rumors of your sexuality?"
He shrugged, "I think they're funny. They don't really bother me."
I nodded, "What did your friends and family say after you broke the news of being the sexiest man of 2008?"
He laughed, "My mates found it funny. My kids think it's funny but also gross their father is being called sexy. My family also, but they were proud of the accomplishment."
"Given your recent divorce, the ladies would like to know, is Hugh Jackman on the market?" I asked curiously, with a slight giggle.
He looked at the camera, "Hugh Jackman is on the market, ladies." He turned to me, "Is my interviewer also on the market?"
I failed to hide the red blush appearing on my cheeks, "Is Hugh Jackman hitting on me?" I said to the camera acting as if I were in shock with a tilt of my head.
He laughed, "You didn't answer my question."
I smirked, "I'm the interviewer. I ask the questions."
He shook his head, "Feisty, are we?"
I chuckled, "Mr. Jackman, do you have a secret talent?"
He smiled, "I'm very well trained. Not toilet trained, but I'm trained in other things. Barbara Walters told me I give phenomenal lap dances."
I laughed, "Did she? Barb is a great judge, so I trust her judgment."
He immediately stepped up from his chair, looking towards Justin, "Do we have music? I'm going to demonstrate." Looking back towards me he continued, "I have to showcase my talent for you."
This has definitely been the most interesting interview of my two year career.
I looked at Justin as music began playing, "Oh? I'm getting a lap dance too?" I asked playfully throwing the cue cards across the room. "Forget the script."
Justin failing miserably to contain his laughter watched on as Hugh began swaying his hips, removing his blazer and stepping to me. I sat not knowing how to react or if this was some odd dream I was having. He was in front of me with both of my legs between his, while still swaying his hips in a seductive motion.
His voice now seductive shook me from the thought, "How're you feeling, love? Isn't this your best interview yet? C'mon, look at me, baby." His finger grasping my chin pulling it upwards to look at him with the cheekiest, sexiest smile on his face.
I nervously laughed, blushing, "Oh my god." Was all I could manage to say. His other hand gripping my shoulder as he moved closer, almost putting his crotch 2 feet from my face.
He immediately began dying laughing as he sank to the floor, placing both hands on my knees. "How was that?" He asked.
I shook my head with a smile, "That was... I mean, I've never had an interview leave me speechless."
I could hear the film crew failing to contain their laughter as Hugh reached up and hugged me, straddling my lap. This must be every woman's wet dream. His laughter piercing my ears as he hugged me.
"Job well done then." He said cockily. "Turn off those cameras. We're headed backstage." He managed to say through his laughter.
I squealed, dying of laughter, "And that concludes our interview with Mr. Hugh Jackman, ladies and gentlemen! Go pick up your issue of People's magazine's Sexiest Man Alive-" I struggled to grab the magazine but finally reaching it, holding it up towards the camera, "Today!"
The cameras immediately cut and Hugh hopped off of me, laughing at the crew's reaction as their laughter grew louder now that they didn't have to worry about the rolling cameras.
"Best interview of your life?" Hugh asked me with a knowing smile.
I laughed, shaking my head, "Definitely. I was not expecting my day at work to end with a lap dance from Wolverine."
He pulled me in for another hug, "Next interview I'll be giving you another lap dance."
I playfully rolled my eyes, hugging him back, "I'll be sure to remind you."
He got serious for a moment, "Would you like to grab lunch with me? I've got a bit before my next press."
I nodded, "Sure. I'd love to."
He gave me a smile, "Seriously though, are you on the market and when are we gonna go to the beach?"
I looked at him nervously, "I am on the market, and I'm available anytime after 3."
He grabbed my hand, leading me towards the hallway. "Great. All I needed to know. I'm looking forward to that next lap dance, beautiful."Â He said with a smirk.

As You Wish, Chapter 6
Summary: When arriving at Camp Silver Star, Abby Floyd was anticipating a summer of adventure with an ocean separating her from the three people she loved most: her mom, her Uncle Bob and her Aunt Natasha. But after a run in with Charlie Seresin, an extremely familiar looking and irritating camper in a different cabin, her summer plans take a turn that neither girl ever could have expected.
Potential Trigger Warnings: reader's children are described as being blond with green eyes because genetics are wild and Jake's genes are strong, reader is canonically Bob's sister (but biological relation is never discussed), reader goes by Buttercup and is tattooed, angst, sadness, reference to divorce, kids doing sneaky things, references to babies, swearing, references to the hospital
Sharp Memorial Hospital, almost 12 years ago
The skies were painted shades of lilac and rose, golden hues dancing just above the horizon as the sun played peekaboo with the clouds, not quite willing to give up the daylight just yet. Jake watched through the small window in the private hospital room, two small, warm weights resting against his bare chest. His wife of less than a year slept soundly in the uncomfortable hospital bed next to him.
Bob and Natasha had left a few hours before to get dinner, the WSO arriving the second he was invited to meet his new nieces, his partner following close behind. The two were never far from each other, and Jake knew that they preferred it that way.
âKnock, knockâŚâ
Jake looked up and immediately rolled his eyes. Under his arms, Javy had two massive teddy bears, one pink and one purple. Behind him, Rooster stood with a bundle of balloons, looking like heâd rather be holding anything else.
âHey fellas,â Jake whispered.
âJesus, Hangman, donât you ever put on a shirt?â Rooster scoffed playfully.
âItâs called skin to skin contact, dipshit. Itâs supposed to be good for them,â he retorted, shifting Abby (or was it Charlie?) in his arms as she cooed softly.
âEasy with the language there, papa bear,â Javy laughed, depositing the two bears beside the side table and moving to stand behind Jakeâs chair. âYouâre gonna have to watch the swearing with these two little angels around.â
Jake chuckled softly. âYeah, I know. Buttercupâs already given me shâlip for it.â
âThatâs why I love that girl,â Rooster nodded. âShe knows how to keep Bagman in line.â
âJust for that, Javy gets to hold them first,â Jake cocked an eyebrow at his friend and rival.
âBut thereâs two of âem,â Rooster complained. âWhy should I have to wait?â
âBecause Iâm his best friend? Because you canât keep your mouth shut? Because Iâm superior in every way?â Javy laughed, tugging the other chair in the room over and plopping down. âAlright, little ladies, come to Uncle Javy!â
âBetter pick just one, or the Prodigal Son over there is gonna start pouting,â Jake smirked in Roosterâs direction, cradling his daughters closer when he flipped him off. âI can give you neither of them,â he reminded.
Rooster huffed. âFine. Just gimme.â
Jake handed Charlie (it was definitely Charlie, he remembered now: Charlie was on his left side because her name has an L in it) over to Javy, who immediately started cooing at the infant as he cradled her head in his big hand.
âHey there, girlie,â he whispered to the sleeping infant. âIâm your Uncle Javy, and we are gonna drive your old man nuts together. You just wait until youâre a little older and Iâll teach you all the different ways to make the vein in his forehead pop.â
âI regret everything,â Jake muttered, handing Abby over to Rooster. âWatch her head, man. Hold her like a football.â
âI know how to hold a baby, Bagman,â Rooster gripped, looking slightly awkward as he cradled the newborn.
âCoulda fooled me,â Jake returned, standing with a groan and pulling his shirt on. âDonât hold her like youâre afraid of her, dumbass.â
âDude, sheâs likeâŚfresh,â Rooster grumbled, tucking Abby a little closer to his body. âIâve never held anything this new before.â
âYou get used to it,â a quiet voice yawned behind them.
âHey mama,â Jake grinned, swooping down to kiss his wifeâs forehead. âHow you feeling?â
Buttercup groaned and stretched, her joints popping. âLike I just went through 27 hours of labor and pushed two of your giant kids out of a 10-centimeter hole in my body?â
Javy shuddered. âA little graphic, Buttercup.â
âA little accurate, Coyote,â she shot back, leaning down to fiddle with the controls of her bed, raising herself higher. âAnyhow, its time for me to try feeding them again. And, before you ask, no. Youâre not allowed to watch,â she glared playfully at Javy and Rooster.
âWe have to go?â Javy pouted but handed Charlie back to Jake to deposit in his wifeâs arms.
âSorry, man,â Jake grinned. âBut whatever she says, goes. I wonât be arguing with her for a long time after what she just went through.â
Buttercup smiled at him, exhaustion shining in her eyes as she accepted her daughter into her arms. âThanks, baby,â she whispered. âRooster? Can we get Abby back please?â
Jake turned to see Rooster standing stock still as he stared down at the sleeping baby. âDoâŚdo I have to?â he whispered.
Jake chuckled. âWho woulda thought that it would only take my daughter to shut down Bradshawâs attitude?â
Rooster shot him a glare as he handed Abby over to her father. âIâm with JavyâŚIâm gonna enjoy working with these two to turn that blond hair grey.â
âSure, Rooster,â Jake laughed, cradling Abby to his chest as he waved them off. âWhatever you say.â
Clifton, Texas, Now
Bright sunlight streamed in through the small gap in the purple curtains, slicing across Abbyâs face as she yawned and stretched before sitting up.
It took her a moment to remember where she was. The furniture in her bedroom was supposed to be walnut, not grey. Her window was certainly not east facing, and she did not have that many plaid shirts hanging in her closet. It was only when she heard Roosterâs heavy footsteps above her that she remembered. She was home, technically. Home in Texas, with her father and her uncles, as she had been for the past few days.
Abbyâs cheeks ached as a wide smile tugged at her lips. The last few days had been so wonderful. Her dad was everything she ever could have dreamed and more. Sheâd spent the previous day just hanging out with him in the ranch office, eating sandwiches that Rooster had made for lunch and making each other laugh. The day before that, sheâd tagged along with her dad to one of Javyâs football practices. She may not completely understand football yet, but sheâd had a great time watching her dad and Javy coach the team of high school players. Every night, she hung out in the kitchen with Rooster, helping him make dinner and prep lunches for the ranch staff and the guests staying in the cabins. Each day had been better than the last, and she couldnât wait to see how the rest of the week played out.
That day, she knew, would be the best day of all. Her dad had promised to take her out on a trail ride through the forest that bordered one side of the property. He had said that he had something important to talk to her about, and that phrase had sent her heart racing. She didnât think that he knew about the swap (mostly because Charlie had reassured her in a late-night call that nothing about her dadâs behaviour seemed out of place), but she wondered if maybe he would tell her about her mom and sister. Maybe he was going to share the news that she and Charlie had been waiting to hear from their parents.
Anxious to hear whatever it was that her dad needed to talk to her about, Abby raced to get ready and made her way downstairs, only pausing when she heard an unfamiliar voice in the kitchen.
âBut sugarâŚâ
âI know, baby, Iâm sorry. But I promised that Iâd take Charlie out on a ride today, and I swear, Iâm going to tell her today.â
âThatâs what you said yesterday. And the day before that. And the day before that,â a high pitched, southern drawl responded, and Abby poked her head around the corner to sneak a peek at whoever was speaking. All she could see was her father, his hands cradling the hips of a tiny woman with bleach blond hair and painted on blue jeans.
âI know, baby,â Jake sighed. âI planned on telling her last night, but she passed out early. And I was definitely going to tell her about you the day before that, but Javy waylaid me and invited us to football practice. Roosterâs been keeping her busy in the kitchen after work too, so itâs been hard to get a moment alone with her.â
âHard to get a moment alone with your own daughter? In your own house? On your own property?â The pout was clear in the womanâs voice.
âSavannah, donât start,â Jake sighed again, removing his hands from her hips and turning. Abby pulled her head back around the corner before he could spot her. âYou know that Rooster, Javy, and I own the place together. And sheâs known them since she was born, so theyâre as entitled to spend time with her as I am, especially when she wants to spend time with them.â
âIâm sorry, sugar. Iâm just so excited for her to know.â
âI know, baby. Me too. Iâll tell her today, I promise.â
Abby poked her head back around the corner in time to see Jake kiss Savannah, and she felt her heart sink.
Turning on her heel, her feet pounded up the stairs and she launched herself onto her bed, scrambling for her cell phone.
A: Does dad have a girlfriend?
The answer came almost immediately.
C: LOL no heâs got no game
C: Why??? đ
A: Because thereâs a random blond lady hanging out in the kitchen and heâs calling her baby
C: You sure itâs him and not Rooster?
C: Uncle Roo has lots of hookups đ¤˘
A: Pretty sure I know what he looks like, thanks đ
C: You didnât until a couple of weeks ago, smartypants
A: Thanks for the reminder
A: Are you sure he doesnât have a girlfriend?
A: He wants to talk to me about something
A: What if itâs her?
A: Charlie?
C: Sorry, gotta go! Momâs taking me to one of her book signings, and then weâre going to dinner and a show! Good luck!
Abby threw her phone onto the mattress and groaned, watching it bounce.
âSuper helpful, sisâŚâ she muttered, burying her head in her hands.
Her dad wanted to talk to her about something, and that something seemed to be a pretty, tiny woman with a grating voice. And, for all of Charlieâs reassurance, they had seemed pretty friendly and familiar with each other in the kitchen. The memory made her stomach churn.
What if he wanted to tell her that he was dating this Savannah lady? What would that do to their plan to make their parents see each other again? They had always known that their parents getting back together was a long shot, but they had hoped. And what if Savannah didnât want her dad to change the current custody arrangement? What would they do then?
Abby felt her heart crack a little in her chest. She couldnât imagine going back to the way things had been before, not now that sheâd gotten a chance to love her dad and be loved by him in return. Not now that sheâd gotten to cook with Rooster and coach with Javy and watch the three men barbecue while she swam in the pool. It was both fresh and familiar, terrifyingly new and heartwarmingly recognizable. She couldnât go back to live in London, no matter how much she loved it, not when she knew that Seresin Ranch was waiting for her in Texas.
But what if her dad decided that he wanted Savannah more than he wanted her? It would be too much for her to bear.
Abby shook her head. No. That wouldnât happen. No matter what happened, or why their mom decided to take her, and their dad decided to take Charlie, her dad loved her. She knew that as surely as she knew her own name. Once her dad found out that it was her, not Charlie, heâd want to make sure he saw them both an equal amount of time. He just had to.
A playful knock sounded against her door and her dad stuck his head inside.
âHey, punk,â he grinned, the lines around his eyes and mouth deepening into crevices that spoke of a lifetime of joy. âYou ready to go?â
She grinned back at him, the burden on her heart lifting instantly. Her dad loved her. If she was sure of anything at all, it was of that.
âYeah, dad. Iâm ready.â
Her backpack weighed down with sandwiches, apples, carrots, and enough water to feed a small army, Abby trekked into the stable, where Charlieâs paint mare, Lovebug, was standing, already tacked up. Her dadâs horse, a large grey gelding named Firewall, stood behind her as Jake finished cinching up his saddle.
âHey, Charlie-girl, you all ready?â he called out, patting Firewallâs flank.
âYeah, dad. Just give me a second!â
âMore than a second, you two,â Rooster called, strolling in behind her. âDude, thereâs an issue with the AC unit in cabin 5. You want me to handle it like normal?â
âCabin 5? You mean the same cabin thatâs been giving us holy hell since they got here?â
Rooster nodded, a large hand reaching out to ruffle her braided hair as he passed her. âThatâs the one.â
Jake sighed and rubbed at his forehead under the brim of his white cowboy hat. âNah, shoot Toni a text and let her know to head in there and double check it. If thereâs no issue, she can read them the riot act about wasting our time.â
Rooster grinned. âI wish I could be a fly on the wall for that conversation.â
Abby tuned out their conversation as she slowly approached Lovebug. According to Charlie, the mare was an easy ride, but loyal as all get out to Charlie, never allowing anyone else to mount her. Charlie had gotten her as a gift for her fifth birthday and the mare hadnât allowed another rider since. Hopefully she looked and smelled enough like Charlie to be able to fool the mare.
âHey LoveyâŚâ Abby murmured; her eyes lowered as she held one hand out for the mare to sniff. âEasy girlâŚplease let this workâŚâ
The mareâs eyes widened, and her nostrils flared as she anxiously pawed at the soft stable floors and whinnied, tossing her head back and retreating as far as she could, almost bumping Firewall.
âWhoa!â
âWhat the hell?â
Jake grabbed Firewallâs reins as he surged backwards to grab Firewallâs reins before he could retreat too far. Rooster leapt forward to grab Lovebugâs reins, easing her head down and petting her muzzle gently.
âCharlie, are you okay?â Jake called, clipping Firewall onto a long lead attached to the wall so he wouldnât wander.
âY-yeahâŚIâm okay,â Abby replied softly as her heart sank. Sheâd known that tricking Charlieâs horse was going to be one of the more difficult parts of their plan, but sheâd never thought that the horse would react like that to her. If she couldnât get Lovebug on her side, their plan was as good as done.
Rooster clipped Lovebug onto the wall and stared between horse and would-be rider curiously. âIâve never seen her react to you that way before, kid. Anyone else, sure. But not you.â
âM-maybe she smells Champ on me,â she offered weakly, remembering how Charlie had taken a shine to the palomino at camp. âIâŚI donât think Iâve washed this shirt since coming back from camp.â
Jake approached, cautiously patting Lovebug on her withers as he passed her. âCould be. Six weeks is also a long time for her not to see you. Maybe sheâs trying to readjust. Sheâs always been a sensitive horse. HereâŚletâs try again.â
Calmly, Jake took Abbyâs hand in his and slowly approached the mare, extending their hands for her to smell. Cramming her other hand in her pocket, Abby anxiously crossed her fingers and held her breath.
With a twitch and a nervous tapping on the floor, Lovebug extended her graceful neck and sniffed the tips of Abbyâs fingers. After a tense minute, Lovebug released a long, almost weary sigh and nibbled on Abbyâs fingertips with her velvety lips.
âThere,â Jake said happily, releasing Abby after gently squeezing her shoulder. âShe just needed a minute to forgive you for leaving her for six weeks.â
âYeahâŚâ Rooster murmured, staring at Abby and Lovebug with a piercing gaze. âI guess thatâs it.â
âThanks for the assist, Rooster,â Jake called over his shoulder, unclipping Firewall and leading him out into the bright sunlight. âWeâll see you around noon, alright?â
âBye Uncle Roo,â Abby waved timidly, all too aware of the way his heavy gaze rested on her.
The green grass swayed in the cool summer breeze as the horses strolled among the trees, birds singing a sweet song as they flitted from branch to branch.
Everything was perfectâŚor it would have been if not for the burden on Abbyâs mind. The image of her dad kissing that blond lady was running through her mind on a loop, burning itself behind her retinas, churning the scarce remains of her breakfast in her stomach.
âYou okay over there, Charlie girl?â
Abby glanced quickly at her dad before turning her eyes back down to the pommel of her saddle. Sheâd been grateful that the trail was wide enough to ride side by side when theyâd set out, but now she was wishing that it was narrower.
âYeah,â she sighed quietly. âWhy?â
âYouâre never this quiet on a trail ride. Usually, youâre talking my ear off about something or another. Thatâs kinda why I wanted to go on this ride with you. Rooster and Javy have kind of been monopolizing your time since you got back from camp. I wanted some daddy-daughter time before you go back to school and realize how uncool your old man is.â
âI thought you said you were always cool,â she sniffed.
âOh, I am,â Jake grinned at her. âIâm very cool. But 12-year-old girls donât always recognize that.â
âIâm not 12 yet,â she mumbled.
âTrust me, I know and Iâm very grateful for that. You turning 12âŚâ Jake sighed. âI can feel the grey hair popping up.â
When she didnât laugh at his joke, they lapsed into silence. All that had happened that morning had left a sour taste in her mouth and, try as she might, she couldnât seem to shake it.
Itâs not that she didnât want her dad to be happy. She did, just like sheâd always wanted her mom to be happy. But she couldnât help feeling like sheâd just gotten her dad back, that her dad owed it to her and Charlie to give their mom a chance. They deserved to be a family, especially after the almost 12 years of not even knowing about the very existence of the other half of their family.
âDo you remember the day I was born?â she asked suddenly, looking over at him.
âOf course I do, darlinâ. Hard to forget the best day of my life.â
âThen you remember my mom?â
Jake reined Firewall in sharply, urging his horse to a stop as he stared at her. âCharlie, of course I do. Where is this coming from?â
âYou never talk about her,â she replied simply. âIâm almost 12, dad. I think I deserve to know about the woman who gave birth to me.â She watched as his Adamâs apple worked in his throat, his eyes skimming over the terrain, the sky, anywhere but over in her direction. âWhat, was she not a good person? A one-night stand? What?â she pushed, knowing none of it was true but the image of Savannah dancing in her mind was turning her anxiousness into anger.
âCharlie, your momâŚâ Jake sighed, his free hand rubbing at his eyes under the brim of his Stetson as he lapsed back into silence. Abby clenched the reins in her hand tightly as the silence dragged on, but she refused to push. Even though it had only been a few days, she knew Jake well enough to know that he would fight back when he felt cornered. It was the military man inside him, the pilot who knew how to stay on objective, and if his objective was to keep his daughter in the dark, Abby knew that not even God himself would be able to convince Jake to change directive.
After what felt like hours, she peeked over at her father to find him staring down at the reins in his hand as he chewed on the inside of his cheek. He lookedâŚold. Now, Jake Seresin rarely looked his age; the deepening lines near his mouth and eyes, and the sparse sparkle of grey that decorated his thick hair and trim beard like tinsel being the only things that really gave the impression that Jake Seresin was anything other than eternally young. Charlie had shown her photos of her father in his flight suit, in his dress whites, in his khaki uniform, and the man in front of her looked like a shadow of that man. He wore no confident smile, no cocky raised eyebrow, no green eyes sparkling with a challenge. He just lookedâŚsad, and Abby felt the last smoldering ashes of her anger sizzle out.
Reaching out carefully, she grabbed her dadâs wrist, and he looked up in surprise, like heâd forgotten she was there.
âNever mind,â she whispered. âIâŚIâm sorry.â
Before her eyes, her father transformed, building a cocky smile and heaving it into place. âDonât be sorry, punk. Youâre allowed to be interested in your mom. But right now, all you need to know is that she loved you something fierce and that things between me and her justâŚdidnât work out. Boring adult stuff that you donât need to worry about, alright?â
Abby sighed. âAlright. Thanks, dad.â
And suddenly, he looked like he was on the right side of ageless again, flipping his grip to squeeze her hand. âHeyâŚI know I should tell you about her, and I promise I will eventually because you deserve to know. But for now, donât worry about it, okay?â
âOkay. Thank you.â
He squeezed her hand once more before releasing it and urging Firewall forward, Lovebug following suit easily.
âThere is something we do need to talk about though,â Jake added in a quiet voice as they crested the ridge they were climbing and came to a beautiful lookout, the ranch and all its grounds laid out below them.
Abbyâs blood froze in her veins even as the sun shone down upon them, and the memory of the conversation in the kitchen hit her full force. Savannah had been pushing her dad to talk to her about something, something important, something that left a dark feeling in the pit of her stomach.
âIâve been meaning to talk to you about it since you got home, but youâre a pretty popular kid around here.â Jake sighed. âListen, Charlie girl, you know youâll always be my girl, butâŚI mean, it happened pretty quickly, so itâs not like I meant to keep it from youâŚI justâŚâ
Blinking against the harsh sunlight, Abby zeroed in on a truck just pulling into the ranch and the words flew out of her mouth before she could stop them.
âUncle Javyâs back from practice! Race you to him!â
Before Jake could react, Abby kicked Lovebug into action and the mare surged forward, following the steadily declining path down the ridge back to the ranch.
âCharlie!â
She could hear the rapid hoofbeats of Firewall as he galloped after them, but she didnât slow or turn to look where her father was. Ducking low on Lovebugâs neck, she urged the mare even faster, half wishing she could run her all the way back to London and her motherâs loving arms. She had been so deliriously happy the past few days, getting to know Seresin Ranch and the men who ran it, the men who were her family by birth. But now, with this Savannah person encroaching on her newfound happiness, she found that she missed her home more than ever. She wanted both worlds, Texas and London, her mom and her dad, and she didnât want to share it with anyone but Charlie.
So, they ran, each hoofbeat bringing her closer and closer to the sanctuary she had come to call home.
After years of ranch living, Lovebug seemed to know the unwritten rules of the land and slowed to a canter, then a trot, and finally to a walk as they passed by the paddocks and came to a stop beside a red truck branded with the Seresin Ranch logo, Javy pulling a gym bag from the bed as they finally came to a stop.
âWhoa, girlie! Whereâs the fire?â Javy exclaimed as she dismounted and bounced towards him, all too aware of the cantering hoofbeats following her.
âNothing, Javy! How was practice? Do you need a hand with your bag? Doââ
âCharlotte Delta Seresin, what the hell was that?â Jake huffed as he hopped down from Firewall.
Abby felt herself flush. âIâŚI saw Javy, andââ
âI know, but I was trying to talk to you!â Jake sighed, handing Firewallâs reins to a ranch hand who had scurried out of the stable. âIâve been trying to talk to you since you got home, but we keep getting interrupted. Baby, this is important.â
Javy groaned. âJake, man, I told you thatââ
âCoyote, all due respect, Iâve heard your opinion on the matter, but this is between me and my daughter,â Jake shot a look at his wingman, a look that clearly told Javy to stay out of it, but Javy refused.
âI know, man, butââ
âWhat on earth is goinâ on out here?â a sugary sweet voice called from the back door of the ranch house, and Abby watched as both her father and Javy bit back a groan.
âCanât a man have five minutes of privacy around here?â she heard Jake mutter to himself before turning and pasting a wide smile onto his face. âNothing, Savannah. I was just trying to talk to Charlie when she spotted Javy.â
âYou mean you still havenât talked to her?â Savannah pouted as she crossed the yard to stand a few feet away from them. âSugar, you promisedâŚâ
Abby bit back a giggle as Javy rolled his eyes behind her back.
âSavannah, I know I promised, but this is a delicate situation and I want to ease my daughter into it.â
âWhy is my kitchen a mess?â Rooster hollered, stomping across the yard to join the mini congregation that had now formed.
Jake rolled his head and groaned. âFive minutesâŚI swear, all I need is five minutes.â
âOh, sorry, Brad,â Savannah smiled saccharinely at him. âI was just bakinâ a cake to celebrate my welcome into the family.â
âItâs Bradley. Brad-ley.â
âSavannahâŚâ Jake hissed in warning, his eyes flashing.
âIâm sorry, Jakey, but Iâm just so excited to be marrying you!â
In an instant, everything seemed to freeze. Abby could see her Javy moving, could see her fatherâs lips moving as he spoke to Savannah, but it all seemed to be in slow motion.
She had expected to learn about a relationship, to have her father come to her about the new girl he was seeing and discussing it with her. But marriage? Her stomach churned and her vision tunneled, red seeping in on the edges of the landscape. Sound returned with a roar, and she found her lips moving.
âMarrying you?â she was finally able to choke out. âYouâre getting married?â
Jake sighed and turned his back on Savannah, who was still smiling despite the dressing down she had surely received from Jake.
âThis isnât how I wanted you to find out, butâŚyes. Savannah and I are getting married.â He reached a hand towards her with a bittersweet smile.
Every muscle in her body trembling, she stepped back from her father. âHow could you?â she whispered.
Jakeâs eyes slid closed, and he crouched down to her level. âCharlie, I know this will be an adjustment, butââ
âAn adjustment?â she barked out a laugh. âYou think that this is an adjustment? Springing some random woman on me and saying sheâs going to be your wife?â
âAnd your stepmother, honey,â Savannah added, smiling brightly at her from over Jakeâs shoulder.
âLike hell you will be!â she snapped, the slight British lilt to her natural voice almost slipping through the cracks. âYou wonât even tell me about my real mom, but you think that you can just shove whatever woman looks your way into her spot in my life? Thatâs crap!â Abby dashed her eyes before stepping back again. âIs she even old enough to be my stepmom? Because she looks like she wouldâve been a kid herself when I was born!â
Javy and Rooster both ducked their heads, their shoulders shaking slightly, but Abby could take no joy in their amusement, not with the betrayal stinging in her heart and the look on her fatherâs face.
âCharlotte Delta Seresin, I taught you better than to speak to me like that,â her father snapped, raising himself up to his full height and staring her down, shaking off Savannahâs hand as she tried to grab his arm.
âYou didnâtââ Abby cut herself off before the rest of her sentence could escape. âYou didnât raise me at all.â Thatâs what she had wanted to say. This man, the man she had wanted to meet for her entire life, hadnât raised her at all, either by accident or by design. He had left her and her mom behind, taken Charlie, and never looked back. It wasnât fair. None of this was fair. âYou didnât think about me at all, dad,â she whispered, tears choking back any other words she may have wanted to share before she turned and fled, racing towards the stables.
Jake stepped forward, ready to chase after her, his heart sinking in his chest, but a firm hand on his shoulder stopped him.
âJust leave her be, man,â Rooster sighed, his eyes following his niece over the landscape. âSheâll come around.â
âWill she?â Javy scoffed. âWay to break the news, man.â
âIâŚI should talk to her,â Jake murmured, all too aware of Savannah retreating back into the house. âI should explain.â
âLet me talk to her first,â Rooster offered. âLet me test the waters before you boil yourself alive.â
Running a hand over the back of his neck, Jake finally nodded. âAlright. Thanks, man.â
âDonât thank me, man. Not yet.â
Abby huddled in the office in the stable, the door locked tight against her and the outside world. A wave of shame washed over her as she remembered how she had spoken to her father. She never spoke to any adult that way, her mum had taught her better. Her mumâŚ
Abbyâs heart clenched with homesickness. She ached for her motherâs arms to wrap around her, for the sound of her Uncle Bobâs laugh or Auntie Natâs teasing.
She fumbled for her cell phone, tugging it clumsily out of her pocket before opening the little green app and dialing the now familiar long-distance number.
âHello?â
âDadâs getting married!â she nearly shouted down the receiver, despair coating every sound she uttered. âHe got engaged to some blond woman who looks like sheâs half his age!â
âAbby?â Charlie yawned. âWhat are you talking about?â
âI told you! The blond woman from this morning is wearing a rock the size of my head and hanging off of dad! She said that theyâre getting married, and he confirmed it!â
âWhâŚwhat? No! ItâŚitâs not possible!â
âExcept that it is! He told me it was happening whether I liked it or not!â Silence greeted her claim, and she felt that red hot rage start to creep in again. âWould you say something, please?â
âWhat do you want me to say, Abby?â Charlie whispered, and Abby could hear the tears in her voice. âDadâs getting married, and he didnât bother to even introduce her to me.â
Abby sighed, the anger dissipating as quickly as it came on. âI knowâŚâ
âBut he loves mom!â Charlie groaned. âI know he does! You donât shut down that often about a person if you donât care about them!â
âHe shut down on me today too,â Abby agreed. âBut itâs not like I can just tell him that he loves her. He would never go for that.â
âCan you find something to prove it?â Charlieâs desperation was clear. âSomething to remind him?â
âLike what?â
âI dunnoâŚa photo? Their marriage license? Anything that might remind him of her?â
âWhere would I even find something like that?â
âIn the office in the stable.â
Abby looked around. âIâm there right now, I donât see anything.â
âIn the safe under his desk. Or in the filing cabinet. I donât know the code to the safe or where he keeps the key to the cabinet though.â
Abby sighed. âIâll figure it out. Iâll let you know what I find.â
âThanksâŚIâm sorry you have to deal with that while Iâm having fun with mum.â
âItâs okay. DoâŚdo you think mum still loves dad?â
âAbby, all her adult books are about a military guy falling in love with the woman of his dreams and the obstacles that keep them apart.â Abby could practically hear the eye roll in her sisterâs voice. âShe either loves him or she doesnât know what else to write about.â
âWhat if youâre wrong?â
âIâŚI donât want to think about that. Find proof. Iâll find proof too. Then weâll tell them about the switch.â
âOkay.â
âOkay. Good luck.â
âYou too,â Abby hung up the phone with a sigh before turning to face the little black safe that was tucked under her fatherâs desk.
âAlright, youâŚwhat could your combination be?â
She cycled through the obvious choices first: Jakeâs birthday, her and Charlieâs birthday, her fatherâs military employee number, her great-grandfatherâs number. With a wish in her heart, she even tried her motherâs birthday, but no such luck. So, she tried less obvious combinations. Javyâs birthday was a no-go, as was Roosterâs. Her grandmother and grandfather were also a bust. And it turned out that Jake Seresin was not the type of guy to use 1-2-3-4-5-6 as his combination.
âCâmonâŚcâmon, what are you?â Abby grumbled.
âTry 02-14-19.â
The sudden voice made her shriek and lurch away from the safe, turning to see her uncle chuckling from the doorway.
âUncle RooâŚyou frightened me!â
âI frightened you, huh?â He sauntered forward, kicking the door shut behind him. âSee, two months ago you would have said âYou scared the crap out of meâ or âIâm gonna get you back for that, Chicken!â Not, you frightened me.â He perched himself on the edge of the desk. âMy girl Charlie doesnât talk like that. She knows the words, smart as a whip that kid is, but being around a bunch of air jockeys on a ranch didnât exactly lend itself to 20-point words like frighten.â
She felt the blood rush to her cheeks. âW-what do you mean? Iâm Charlie. Did you hit your head or something?â
âSee, now that is something Charlie would say. You almost had me. But Lovebug doesnât shy away from Charlie. Never has, never will. And Javy could almost make Charlie an assistant coach with how much she helps him out with his playbookâŚbut not you. You donât seem to know the first thing about football.â He fixed her with a stern look. âYouâre not CharlieâŚare you, Abby?â
The dam inside herâthe one that had been holding back all her fears and anger about her fatherâs surprise engagement, and the ache of her homesicknessâbroke and the tears burst forth. Quickly, she buried her face in her hands and sobbed.
She heard a heavy sigh before she was wrapped in a hug, strong arms pulling her against a lean body.
âSâalright, kid. Iâm not gonna tell anyone.â
She pulled back slightly, trying to meet Roosterâs eyes but he kept them firmly on the ceiling. âR-really?â
He shrugged. âI figure you and Charlie have your reasons for this insane switch. Where the hell did you two meet, anyway?â
âCampâŚâ she hiccupped. âP-Penny invited both of us at the same time.â
Rooster sighed, but there was the slight twang of a chuckle hidden inside it. âYeah, that sounds like Penny. She was pretty pushy about me mentioning the camp to your dad. Shoulda known she was pulling a Maverick level stunt.â
âY-youâre not mad?â
âNahâŚâ he shrugged, releasing her and sitting back on the edge of the desk again while Abby straightened in the desk chair. âJust, tell me one thing. Is Charlie okay?â
Abby nodded. âSheâs in London with my mum, Uncle Bob and Auntie Nat. Sheâs having a grand time.â
Rooster nodded thoughtfully. âSo, what is the plan?â
Abby bit her lip. âGet to know our other parent, tell them about the switch at the end of the week, force them to meet to switch us back, and have them fall in love with each other again so that we donât have to live with an ocean in between us again?â
Rooster sighed; his eyes drifting shut as his head rolled back. âJesusâŚâ
âAreâŚare you going to tell dad?â
She held her breath as his eyes opened again, this time turning to her with a fixed determination that sent a shiver down her spine.
âNoâŚIâm not.â
âReally? ButâŚwhy?â
Rooster shrugged. âOne, because making your dadâs life a living hell is still one of the greatest pleasures of my life. Two, I always thought that the way your parents handled the divorce was wrong. Hell, I think they never should have gotten divorced at all. And three, Savannah pisses me off and I donât think Iâll be able to keep living here if your dad actually goes through with it.â
âSoâŚwhat does that mean for me?â
âIt means, Iâm gonna help you. And so will Javy.â

I swear Iâm a straight dude, kind of a ladiesâ man if Iâm honest. Iâm the love âem and leave âem typeâmaybe thatâs why I never bothered to get my ex gf (37F)âs last name⌠or her marital status. We were in the middle of a horizontal tango session, if you know what I mean, when her husband (37M, straight??) walks in.
Iâve never looked twice at a man, but heâs the most beautiful person Iâve ever seen, male or female. Even though he met me when I was getting naked with his wife, he never held it against me. They got divorced and somehow he became my best friend. He even let me move in with him when my pipes burst (not a euphemism) and I had nowhere to go.
I think I might be in love with him. Is it possible to be straight all your life but gay for just one guy? Sometimes I think he might be into me as well, but then I think itâs just âcause heâs kind of a weird dude. When I look at him, it feels like a hurricane inside me, like Iâll burst if I donât kiss him.
TLDR: Wondering if asking the guy (whose marriage I ruined) out is a good idea.

Not your post saying pisces sun men are addicted to porn omg Iâm dead. This guy I was texting before and sent nudes to is a pisces sun and he was so obsessed.. one day all he did was look at one of my photos and ⌠THREE TIMES đđ pisces have no boundaries and can really get lost in their vices đŹđŹ
Warning - A rant on Pisces Sun Men.
Tw: If you like pisces men don't read lol
Omg- I am so so sorryđ everytime I read stories about pisces men this is my exact reaction : đŤ˘đđ¤˘đ¤Źđ
It goes from "umm what" to "WHAT THE FUCK" real quick.
I AM SO SORRY THIS IS TRAUMATIZING THO
Every. Single. Pisces. Sun. Man. I've. Met. IS TRASH. Literally no other zodiac sign could compare to pisces mens level of disgust
They weirdly love bomb and act like hoes and then become obsessed and clingy with u while they are acting like the most disgusting man hoes ever??? Make it make sense.
The things I COULD TELL YOU ABOUT HOW THEY'VE TRAUMATIZED ME AND EVERYONE IK CHILE
My friends mom is divorced from a pisces sun man who would regularly phone sex workers and masturbate to underage girls on porn....đđđ¤˘đ¤˘
My previous crush love bombed me only to fuck a bunch of other girls and continuously try to love bomb me again after???
THEY ALWAYS HAVE THE WANDERING EYE IN RELATIONSHIPS OMG, one tried to hide the fact he had a girlfriend of 2 YEARS with me during the talking stages.
Honestly a lot of them act like they treat women nicely only to get in a relationship and treat them horribly from what I've seen. Its like if you dont live up to their imposed fantasies of you they get aggressive and MEAN as they constantly threaten to leave you while cheating at the same time. Its fucked up dude.
Master Manipulators? A Pisces sun man
A guilt-tripping gaslighting WHORE - a Pisces sun man
The sign that cheats the most imo? - A Pisces sun man
They always act soooo innocent and caring like they'd never harm a fly BUT THEN TURN OUT TO BE THE MOST FUCKED UP PEOPLE I SWEAR.
Like they keep their secrets A SECRET because they're so awful.
Its so bad- people shit on mutable sign men a lot but pisces men are the worst OF THE WORST. And its also because they play dumb and get away with everything because everyone seems to view them as sweet or innocent??? But naurr they are dirtier than the sewers my friend.
Honestly a lot of them have deranged sexual fantasies and can't control or even realize their way of imposing their fantasies onto other people making us SO UNCOMFORTABLE.
THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THE WORD NO? as soon as you deny them anything they automatically make it your fault. Because they act ENTITLED you should do whatever for them because they "love" you so much. The behavior I've witnessed from them makes me SICK
Whenever news of a celebrity cheating pops up they ALWAYS have pisces placements
Adam Levine, Justin Bieber, Tristan Thompson, Zayn Malik (pisces rising).
I could GO ON about how many men with pisces placements cheat its seriously ridiculous and it happens irl and not just hollywood too like they cheat as if they'd never live again or smth??
Honestly, All of the Pisces sun men I've come to know or have heard about are either the worst fuckboys ever or Should be in jail 100%
Not even kidding.

ProtĂŠgĂŠ
pairing: red hood!jason todd x robin!reader, slow burnÂ
warning: swearing
a/n: for context, this is somewhat loosely based off of Battle for the Cowl (2009) which I definitely recommend as a read!Â
There was something about falling that you would never, ever get tired of.Â
Ever.Â
Probably.
With the wind whistling in your ears, your hair floating up in a million directions, and your limbs seemingly weightless as the buildings and lights blurred into one endless streak of color, the rush of adrenaline that ran through your body right before your grappling hook shot out and you landed quietly on the concrete was about a million times better than any sparring session back at the cave.Â
You grinned as you straightened, rather proud of the fact that you had actually managed to land so smoothly without nearly paralyzing yourself. Again. The landing was something you had been working on for a while now.
You could practically hear Bruceâs voice ringing through your head after your little stunt, lamenting on and on about how you had more important things to focus on during patrols, and you let out a sigh as you ran down the backway of the nearly empty streets.Â
The heavy man who had been bound up with a decently made gag and one of Bruceâs fancy tech pieces (Batcuffs, maybe? Something else with Bat smacked in front of it?) grunted beside you.Â
âWhat? Not like you had someplace to be.â You grabbed the back of his rather tacky-looking spandex suit to drag him along back to where your mentor was supposed to be.
Despite your (many) disagreements and his (many) criticisms of your hand-to-hand combat skills, attitude issues, and pretty much everything else relating to you, Bruce had actually still allowed you to go off on your own tonight. It mightâve been because he wanted a few hours of nothing but beating up petty criminals by himself for stress-relief, it mightâve been because he had started trying out that whole independence thing with you a little more (even though you were still only permitted to be about five blocks or so away), it mightâve been plot-convenience - but either way, you appreciated the gesture.
It didnât take long for you to pull your new friend over to what shouldâve been your rendezvous point with Batman, letting the man drop with a dull thud and a grunt of protest against the concrete as you glanced around for the other man. You werenât particularly concerned by the fact that the Bat himself wasnât there yet - after all, he was the goddamn Batman. Heâd show up eventually. In the meanwhile, you decided to go over the information you had gotten on the criminal with you.Â
Just for the sake of it. Bruce would make you go over it anyways.
âDrury Walker, thirty-two years old, found him trying to mug someone in a back alley and make an escape. Called himselfâŚâ you paused, looking down at his sorry-looking outfit for a few moments while he looked up at you with murder and vengence in his eyes. â...Killer Moth.â Â
âKiller Moth?â A completely new voice repeated in disbelief, causing you to immediately whirl around to face them in a fight stance, heart racing at a million miles per hour. The guy in front of you had his hands up in the air, his face concealed with some sort of red knock-off Iron Man helmet. He was gonna get copyrighted by Marvel Studios. âShit, sorry,â he started at the sight of you, still leaning up against one of the walls. âI was supposed to make a wholeass dramatic entrance, but you said his name was Killer Moth and that-â The man made a noise that was either a sharp cough or a laugh of some kind. â-sounded so fucking lame I couldnât help myself.âÂ
Despite the fact that you were definitely in some sort of major trouble with this new guy, he really did have a point. Even Killer Moth himself wouldâve been embarrassed by how trash his name was, if not for the fact that he looked like he was on the verge of an aneurysm - understandably so, since the new guy had produced not one, but two guns out of apparently nowhere.Â
âAnd let me guess,â he continued, pointing one of them at your head, his tone still all-too light and easy. âYou must be the Batâs brand-new Robin.âÂ
Now this is where most people would've shut up and proceeded to be complicit with the dude holding two guns. But Batman hadnât seen reason and made you his (sort of) partner because you were like other people. Hell no.
âDo I look like a traffic signal to you?â It had been the very first of your amendments with Bruce. You would not be fighting crime looking like a literal traffic signal or, at best, a clown from Halyâs Circus. And the tiny green shorts had to go. âOr Robin Hood?â The guy had a rather awkward pause where his gun sort of dipped. Killer Moth was looking between you with wide eyes. âDo I?âÂ
âI guess you kinda got a point.â You huffed and he raised his gun again, getting more in-your-face as his already angry-looking helmet somehow managed to look angrier. You werenât exactly sure how a helmet could convey so much emotion. âBut you work with Batman. And I heard you went by Robin.âÂ
Okay, so you couldnât make him change the name, but you had agreed it would be more of an honorary thing.
âItâs complicated.âÂ
Using such a phrase as an excuse to escape from situations you didnât want to go into was one of the many things you had learned from Bruce in your five months of training. Somehow, that seemed to trigger the guy further.
âSo you do work with Batman.âÂ
Before he could do something actually insane, you had managed to push the gun pointed at your head away from you, using his brief second of surprise to take it out of his hands, kick him in the chest, and round back on him with it in hand.Â
âAnd what about it?âÂ
As cool as you thought you mightâve sounded didnât cover for the fact that you were still nerve-wracked about what was happening right then. Especially after the guy started to dramatically slow-clap like some sort of evil thespian in a high school drama.Â
âNot bad, Robin. Not bad.â He looked at the gun in your hands and grinned. âIf you werenât Batmanâs new replacement sidekick, I mightâve believed you had the balls to use that thing.âÂ
Now, you were an excellent fighter. You had to be, after your excessive training with the guy who had literally mastered about every martial art in existence during his (give or take) five year-long mission to find himself. Plus, some personal experience. But fighting someone like this guy? Built like a tank and padded up in a whole lot of armor and packing an assortment of knives, guns, and even a damn taser you got a first-hand taste of?
You fought hard, but about five minutes and another round of the taser later, you saw the knock-off Iron Man helmet staring down at you before the world went black.
~*~
You woke up in what you assumed was the self-dubbed Red Hoodâs safehouse of sorts.Â
âHow the hell did he rope you into this shit?â he demanded with what you could only assume was him glaring at you through the helmet. Probably some expression that made someone look all angsty and annoyed - which was fair, since he had been trying to drill you for information you straight up refused to give while bound (way too tightly) to a chair for quite some time now. Rather rude. âLet me guess. You watched your parents die.â You stared at him before shrugging.
âNope.â
âOh, so they just went ahead and died somehow. Untimely accident caused by some psycho bitch in a Spirit Halloween costume.â
ââŚnope.âÂ
âThey abandoned you as a child.â
âNo, they didnât - does divorce count?âÂ
Red Hoodlumâs hands kept clenching and unclenching while he stood there, staring at the wall behind you in silence. From the way his chest kept rising and falling, you were tempted to believe he was practicing breathing exercises amidst his rather violent twitching.Â
âDivorce - what the hell is your trauma supposed to be? Why did he pick you?!â
âHey, just because my trauma doesnât include people dying doesnât make it any less traumatic,â you scoffed in response, knowing you were absolutely right about that. Your middle school guidance counselor had said so (and itâs true, ladies and gentlemen, trauma comes in many forms!). âKinda rude to assume it didnât affect me somehow.â
He seemed rather abashed at that and you heard him clear his throat a little.Â
â...right, yeah. Sorry.â
âApology accepted - can you loosen these ropes a little? Itâs starting to kinda hurt.âÂ
âDo I look ten? Thatâs the oldest trick in the book, Iâm not gonna-â
âIâm not going to run, just loosen the ropes a little.â He still looked like he didnât believe you. âCome on, I donât think I can outrun your guns.â As in his literal array of guns tacked up to the wall behind him, not his gigantic biceps.Â
And you werenât too worried about being held hostage by him, either. You figured you had ten minutes tops before Batman burst in through the doorway, ready to give you a lecture on why straying from the specifically designated parts of Gotham he had let you traipse around was a terribly stupid idea.Â
âNo.â He was already walking towards the door, because apparently, he had enough of trying to interrogate you.Â
âHold on, I feel like my wrists are actually about to start bleeding or something - where are you going?â
âKeep talking and Iâm gonna get the duct tape.âÂ
âIs that a threat?â Sounding more confident than you actually felt should eventually make you more confident. Eventually.Â
The Red Hood sucked in a breath, stopping by the doorway and turning to face you, reaching into his pockets to get what you assumed was either a gun or duct tape when you both startled from a sudden crash. The man in front of you was already whirling around with two guns positioned to shoot when you heard the familiar voice of someone else.
âHold your fire, soldier. Iâm not here for you.â A pause. âOr I wasnât, but now I kind of am.â
Apparently, Batman was too busy to save you. Now, you got Nightwing.Â
And as much as you liked Nightwing, that still kinda stung.Â

She was 17 years old when her life took a sudden turn when she met him in a dark alley. He was a bloody mess, bruises everywhere but behind blood and dirt, she could see his beautiful features and his addictive gaze. Maybe she should have walked away, maybe she shouldnât have helped him, but the moment his gaze locked with hers, she was already his.

I was finally back home. Fortunately for me, my dad hadnât noticed me since he was already sleeping on the couch.
I quickly went upstairs to my room and collapsed on my bed, my mind still processing what had happened earlier. It was scary to say the least but fascinating at the same time. I was still confused even after showering. This San had a deep effect on me, not only mentally but physically too.
âChoi SanâŚâ I muttered before closing my eyes and drifting into a deep sleep.
---------
Chapter 2
2 years after.
---------
Days and months went by so fast, I didn't even see them go by.
It has already been two years since my first meeting with San and since then, I didn't met him again. However, he was still on my mind, from the moment I woke up tired in the morning until the moment my head was hitting the pillow at night.
I just couldn't stop myself from thinking about him, his voice, his gaze, his touch, and the shivers he gave me when his mouth had come close to my ear.
"Hey sisâ, what is going on? You had been absent-minded for a while and I still don't know why" Jin said with a hint of worry in his voice before he looked around, checking the surroundings to make sure we were alone "Is it because of dad?" he asked.
For the first time since our mother passed away, dad was at home for a whole month without any explanation. He was now working from home and even though It was something I dreamed of a few years ago, it was now so stuffy, I couldnât breathe properly in my own house. Every single time I went outside of the comfort of my room, I silently prayed not to meet him, hoping that our house was big enough to let me avoid him.
"I'm fine but I'll be better if he wasn't around" I shrugged while looking at my plate "I'm not hungry today" I nonchalantly played with my food.
"Please force yourself and eat a little, you loosed too much weight recently" he furrowed his eyebrows with true concern in his soft brown eyes.
"I'm fine Jin, really! No need to worry for me" I stood up but felt a hand on my shoulder, stopping me in my track.
I turned around and saw my dad with his usual stern expression "Sit down." he calmly ordered.
I sat down without a word, I knew I was about to be lectured one more time.
"Why are you not eating?" my dad asked, voice sounding more as a threat than a question.
"Not hungry" I simply answered.
A long silence settled in the dining room, Jin and I were looking down, trying to avoid any eye contact with the man we referred to as our dad. I laughed internally at the situation, wondering if the kids in other families were afraid of their parents too.
"You don't have to eat if you don't want to, men love slim girls so it'll be good for you to start a diet." He stated, unbothered by the awkward silence.
I was annoyed by his remark 'how dare he' I thought 'Is he thinking my body is his?'
"I'll be dumb if I'd choose a man who loves me just for my body, I will not change anything for anyone" I retorted, Jin nodding in approval, visibly proud of me. But, my father didnât seem pleased at all by my answer and my rebellious behavior.
"Well, I wasn't talking about any random man, but about your fiancĂŠ. He likes slim girls." my dad crossed his arms.
I shot a glance back at my father with wide eyes, he was smirking over my shocked expression, feeling visibly satisfied by the way he made me go silent.
"My fiancĂŠ? What are you talking about? I never had a boyfriend in my whole life, how could I have a fiancĂŠ?" I shouted, standing up from my chair which quickly and loudly fell on the ground.
"I chose a good boy for you, he is the son of a rich politician who will be useful to me and the future of my company. In two months, when you'll turn 20, you will marry him" he said, not sparing a glance at me as he busily taped on the screen of his new expensive phone.
My mouth was now wide open, and so was my brother's.
Jin stood up angrily, it was the first time I ever saw him defy our father's authority. His brown eyes who always seemed so soft to me were now darker than ever. The anger in his body was showing with his tensed muscles and the vein in his forehead that was angrily popping up. His jaw was so tight, I swore he could have been able to break his own teeth.
"What to do you mean she will marry him? Are you not concerned about your daughter's happiness? Can't you stop thinking about your work and think more about your family instead, for at least once in your life? That's why mom died! You-..." Jin got slapped by my father before he could even finish his sentence. Our fatherâs face was red and rage was visible through his eyes.
I gasped and kneeled myself to my brother's side, the impact was so hard that he was now laying on the ground, his right hand hiding his red cheek. Jin shot a death stare up at my father who was still standing in front of us.
"I heard that you want to integrate the Seoul national university, Y/N. You will need money for that, right? If you marry this man, I'll give you all the money you want. If not, you can already say goodbye to this dream of yours." he told me with a harsh voice "Think well cause your birthday is coming up" he added before exiting the room.
I collapsed on the floor, tears were stinging my eyes and blurring my vision. Jin hugged me tightly and patted my back, whispering sweet nothings to my ear to comfort me the best he could.
I hid my head on his neck and cried silently, I hated this, hated this situation, hated this life. I was like a bird trapped in a silver cage.
I ate nothing for the rest of the day after my dad had announced my upcoming wedding.
I still couldn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it. How come a father could do this to his only daughter? Wasn't he supposed to love and cherish me?
It was Saturday and after a lazy morning, I finally stood up to do my daily routine. I put the prettiest dress I had on my dressing and put natural makeup on. I tried my best to cover up my dark circles and hide the exhaustion in my face caused by a long night of crying.
Today, my best friend Hana and I, planned to hang out together for a shopping day. It was the best way for me to think about something else than my current situation.
I took a look at my phone and saw her message "Hey honey, I'm waiting in front of your house~" I read before smiling and joining her outside the house, in front of the big gateway.
"Wow, you are stunning! Why is that? You're going to meet this San again?" She smiled widely.
Hana is the first friend I ever made in my life, I first met her when I was just 6 years old and she always stayed by my side even when I went through hard times. Her cheerful personality and her warm smile made her easy to get along with, she was the best at socializing, she was literally a burst of energy by herself and never failed to make me crack up a smile even when I wasnât in a good mood. She made everyone feel attracted to her, she wasnât only nice and outgoing but beautiful and funny as well. Her short and messy hair were completing her chubby cheeks and her brown eyes. Her tall frame and perfect curves made everyone drool over her, men and women.
She knew everything about my life. When something happened to me, she was the first one I talked to.
"I already told you! I know nothing about him, I don't even have his phone number, how could I meet him?" I pouted before laughing playfully.
We took the first bus we saw and headed downtown.
"It's a shame he isn't on any social media" she whined loudly "Dude, don't get me started" I answered, almost complaining.
During the bus ride, I talked once again about how I felt about San and the gorgeous charisma he had. Hana listened to me as if it was the first time I talked about this whilst I already told her a hundred times before.
Within ten minutes, we had reached our destination.
"Y/N! Look at this! I'm sure this top will fit you perfectly" I heard Hana yelling from the other side of the shop.
Everyone looked at us, some customers were judging us silently while others smiled, probably finding amusement in my friendâs behavior. Â I apologized to the other customers for the noise and quickly went to my friend's side, slightly embarrassed even though I was used to it. Hana didn't know the word "silent".
After 3 hours of shopping, I went outside to eat ice cream with Hana. We moved to a quiet spot with no one around. The weather was nice, it was a sunny day and I let myself relax under the comfortable heat. Â I always liked rainy days better but I liked to feel the sun against my skin from time to time.
"I'm sorry to say this Y/N, but your father is truly an asshole" Hana swore between her teeth after I told her what happened at home the previous day.
"I don't know what I'm going to do about this. Is it better to agree and then divorce this guy? But my dad is well-known, he always will find a way to keep me under his grip, no matter what I do. I feel completely useless and trapped, I canât find a good way to escape from this" I spoke in a low tone, sadness filling my voice the more I talked.
I sighed, concerned by the situation I was into. Hana gently rubbed my back to give me some comfort while my head was on her shoulder. We stayed silent for a few minutes, both of us didnât know what to say because we both knew that there was no way I could escape my fate.
"Excuse me, are you Kim Y/N?"
I turned around to see who had called my name. In front of me stood was a well-dressed man, a bit older than me with a confident look. He wasn't especially handsome, but he wasn't unpleasant to look at. He had this classic Korean vibe one could find everywhere here in Korea.
"Yes? Who are you?" I politely asked.
He took my hand in his own, making me stand up from the bench I was sitting in. Soon after, he put a slight kiss on the back of my hand.
"What the hell?" I shouted and took my hand off his.
It wasn't in our culture to do something like this so I first assumed he had grown up abroad but honestly, from what I knew, even in the USA or Europa no one kissed a perfect stranger met in the street less than ten seconds ago.
"Who the heck are you?" Hana jumped between the man and me.
"I'm Hwang Jinyoung, her future husband" he simply stated, a smirk on his face.
"I never agreed on that." I frowned my eyebrows at his statement.
"What do you mean you never agreed? Your father told us that you were glad to be my future wife" The man seemed truly surprised or at least, he was pretending well to be.
"He lied!" I yelled out, the anger taking over me while I clenched my fists, nails finding their way onto y skin.
I was angry that my father had one more time, talked for me without my consent. My body was shaking from anger while the man laughed at my reaction.
"Move, you're in my way" He suddenly stopped laughing and violently pushed Hana to the ground.
My eyes opened wide from the shock. I was about to check on Hana to be sure she wasn't hurt but Jinyoung grabbed my wrist and pulled me in his chest.
"Why are you so angry? I will take good care of you!" he chuckled.
"Let me go!" I screamed against him, feeling the tears tingling my eyes.
I suddenly felt a strong arm around my waist which encircled me from behind.
"Holy shit." Hana gasped when she saw the handsome man who was protectively hugging me.
I had no need to look back, I already knew who it was. This touch and this warmness were simply unforgettable.
"If you don't let her go in the next five seconds, I'll blow your hands off." the voice behind me growled against Jinyoung.
The beating of my heart quickened. For the past two years I had dreamed about him every night and now, I was finally able to see him again.
"San!" I shouted happily, finally looking to the handsome boy. He smiled back atme but his expression became cold again as he stared at Jinyoung. My so-called husband finally let my wrist go and hardly swallowed his spit.
"Y-you! What are you doing here?" he asked with a shaking voice. I had no doubt about the fact that he knew who San was and that he probably knew him better than I did.

otp questions for endhawks.........will u kick me if i'm greedy and say ALL OF THE NUMBERS
I WILL NOT but this might take a while tho!!!!
1. Who is the most affectionate?
hawks is more physically affectionate - he'll link their arms together, cuddle to enji's side in public, climb in his lap when they're home, hold his hand, initiate kisses more. but it's enji that people notice sending fond looks for his boyfriend so many times it becomes embarrassing - tabloids will have a whole article on endeavor's "heart eyes" ("my eyes are not hearts" enji frowns at the magazine in hawks' hands, who just shrugs and grins "seems like they are for me") so i would say, deep down the big man's a softie too
2. Big spoon/Little spoon?
enji/hawks. unless enji has a nightmare, because in that case, hawks is more than happy to be his lil jetpack.
3. Most common argument?
ah they fight about the most useless things but one of my favorites that must come up often is enji thinking that hawks deserves better than him, and hawks insisting that he's everything he ever wanted.
4. Favorite non-sexual activity?
kicking villain ass and family dinners. hawks likes to eat, and enji likes to eat with his loved ones all in one place. he wonders why hawks gets along so well with his children, and then he realizes - he forgot (again) how insanely young hawks is, and that he's merely a few years older than his youngest son, too. ngl natsuo glares daggers at his old man for having a boyfriend half his age ahahaha
5. Who is most likely to carry the other?
given that enji could swing hawks around like a yo-yo, i think it's him ADJGSGH
6. What is their favorite feature of their partnerâs?
hawks likes everything about enji. he's really into his body, but also his dry sarcasm, his occasional goofy jokes, and most of all, his heart. hawks will watch enji kneel down to a couple of children at a battlefield, his own face and hands dripping with blood, grunt out "are you alright, kiddos? come here, i'll get you somewhere safe" and see him do exactly that, scoop the kids up in his arms and carry them on shaking legs that could barely keep himself up, and then he will see him let his eldest burn the world, his second eldest scream at his face, his youngest treat him like dirt and know that he still cares so deeply for them, know that he loves them and wants the best for them and if the best is torment their father until he dies or worse, he'll let them without so much as a complaint.
enji, on the other hand, loves how easily hawks can lift the mood. he's learned to see through facades, and he'll call him out if he senses that it's hurting hawks to put on a mask, but hawks joking around and mouthing off makes our atlas feel like the weight of the world is a little lighter that day. he loves him for how driven he is, how graceful and hard-working and focused he seems in a fight, and thinks about how those traits were most important to him in the past but now he can see hawks use them to create a world where they can rest, and he realizes... that's not so bad an idea after all.
7. Whatâs the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
enji speeds up the process of divorcing his wife lol. also he becomes more nervous around hawks, because shit, he likes him too, but he shouldn't be liked, why does hawks even like him? when hawks learns that enji likes him too, he gets shamelessly flirty. he doesn't make a move, of course - enji is still a married man, but he'll laugh at his nervousness, play with his own hair for enji's viewing pleasure and send suggestive winks his way like the damn tease he is.
8. Nicknames? & if so, how did they originate?
enji calling hawks birdie is pretty obvious. hawks alternates every petname imaginable for enji when he learns that he's never been called one (he figures it out when he jokingly calls him darling once and enji blushes to the roots of his hair), his favorite is "sweetheart" and "baby". enji also calls hawks his angel, but only when he's being very soft for him
9. Who worries the most?
i mean..... both? enji tends to worry more for hawks' safety and hawks worries more for the crushing guilt enji lives with.
10. Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?
hawks - claims he does, but the truth is, he says a different thing each time and enji's happy to try new things as long as hawks will beam at him proudly after ordering
11. Who tops?
depends. they both do. enji topped more at the beginning because hawks was really into it and he was kinda insecure about asking for anything else, but hawks once offered and found out that he has a delicious bottom bitch on his hands.
12. Who initiates kisses?
hawks. height difference doesn't really matter when you have wings to fly up to your boyfriend's face and kiss him stupid
13. Who reaches for the otherâs hand first?
enji does. he wants to feel that hawks is by his side all the time, safe and sound.
14. Who kisses the hardest?
again, enji. his kisses get desperate, his hands rough. his temperature goes up despite his will and he just wants hawks to melt against him
15. Who wakes up first?
enji does! he's used to working out in the early morning before going to work
16. Who wants to stay in bed just a little longer?
hawks does!! deep down he's still a rebellious lazy teen and whenever he has a day off, he likes to sleep until 12. he swears he considers breaking up with enji the first time the man wakes him up at 6 to ask if he wants to come work out with him
17. Who says I love you first?
surprisingly, enji does. hawks is way too protective of his own feelings to let them flow out so soon, but enji is desperate, he wants hawks by his side for ever, and the first time he says it is the first time he realizes it's true. they're out eating dinner one day, and enji watches hawks chew around the food in his mouth, downing chicken like his life depended on it, and he watches the last rays of sunlight hit his golden hair, his golden eye, paint his wings blood red, and he knows he hasn't seen anything more perfect than that sight. he tells him he loves him, and hawks laughs so much he almost chokes on food. "pretty fucked up to tell me that while i'm deepthroating yakitori" he tells him, giggling
18. Who leaves little notes in the otherâs one lunch? (Bonus: what does it usually say?)
hawks!!! it usually says cheesy things like "good luck at work, endeavor-san!" or "don't forget to eat ur vegetables!" when there are zero vegetables in the lunches hawks packs for him
19. Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first?
i mean hawks doesn't have much connection to his family, or has many friends, but enji is kind of pressed to tell his family all about his relationship since, you know. the news would reach them sooner or later anyway
20. What do their family/friends think of their relationship?
mirko is THRILLED that hawks is dating endeavor. the todoroki family, i mean.... shoto is confused, natsuo is mad, fuyumi and rei are both supportive and say they both want the best for enji. but mostly they just all think that he's really. Really young lol
21. Who is more likely to start dancing with the other?
hawks!!! he likes to dance around the kitchen while enji is cooking or doing the dishes, and sometimes manages to seduce enji into his arms too.
22. Who cooks more/who is better at cooking?
hawks is a better cook, but he never tells enji about that. he just lets him suffer and teach himself how to cook because it's so much fun
23. Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines?
hawks, but he says nothing he would ever say can beat enji calling him his angel. that's the cheesiest it can get, and it's also only because of his wings, like shut up enji omg that's so embarrassing
24. Who whispers inappropriate things in the otherâs ear during inappropriate times?
hawks gets bored on important meetings. then he looks over to enji in a suit and gets horny. one of his favorite hobbies is watching enji squirm and struggle to keep it together after he's stroked his thigh under the table and whispered filth in his ear
25. Who needs more assurance?
enji does. he really, honestly thinks he doesn't deserve the love hawks has for him.
26. What would be their theme song?
my dude every song on ur playlist could be but this one in particular takes the cake for real
27. Who would sing to their child back to sleep?
in an au where enji's kids are still kids instead of grown adults, hawks would definitely read to them (sometimes legit tales, sometimes just colored-up and censored versions of their dad's missions) and cuddle them to sleep while he hums to them softly. in a non-au, enji catches him with shoto sleeping all wrapped up in his arms and wings, right after comforting him when he had a nightmare, trying to keep awake but slowly dozing off holding enji's youngest, most precious son, and enji kind of falls in love a lot more.
28. What do they do when theyâre away from each other?
text, call, videochat. hawks makes a show of wearing some of enji's clothes, but really, you can't keep these assholes away from each other.
29. one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart
enji will never think he deserves to have hawks by his side
30. one headcanon about this OTP that mends it
hawks will never grow tired of showing enji how much he deserves him.

Hcs of Amyâs brother (prolly the ones whoâs closest to her) being overprotective of her
I'd say every one of them is protective of her in their own way, even David...
Oldest - Alejandro -> as said, he's like Dad 2 to everyone below him except for David because they're close in age, so he's definitely the one who takes Jake aside for the traditional shovel talk of "You seem very nice, but if we find out you've hurt or mislead our sister, not even your friends at the NYPD will find your body again. Did I make myself clear?" And Jake can only go "Sir yes sir" and can feel Alejandro's eyes on him every time he even comes close to Amy during family events. He never really warms up to Jake, much like Victor, because they both think he's far too immature for their great girl. But unlike Victor, he realises that maybe Amy needs a bit more immaturity in her life.
Second - David -> they don't like each other, that much is obvious, but he's still the one who always tries to push her harder in her studies and training, so when Jake enters the picture and David remembers the stories he's heard about this goofy, childish colleague of his, he worries that Jake will.... drag her down, kind of? And so he keeps texting Amy to make sure she's keeping up with her studying for police exams. Once Amy finds out that he thinks of Jake that lowly, she definitely chews him out big-time though
Third - Jorge -> the doctor of the family, and kinda the one Amy trusts with adult-questions (more than Alejandro even, and definitely more than David) because she looks up to him the most. He gets extremely overprotective and angry at Jake once he hears stories of the dangerous stunts he pulls or that they pull together as partners. He knows his sister is a great cop and that kinda comes with the territory, but that doesn't mean she purposely has to jump into these situations, okay?! He visits the precinct once and has a chat in Spanish with Rosa (who likes him because Amy likes him) and finds out that usually, it's Jake jumping in front of Amy, figuratively and truly, so that makes him calm down.
Fourth - Matteo -> he's closest to Amy (people used to think they were twins when they were kids) so he's also the most ride-or-die for her, and has never actually liked ANY boyfriend of hers. So every time Amy mentions going through a Next Step in their relationship, he's all "are you sure", "please think about this seriously", "I know you weigh the pro's and con's well but maybe talking about it with someone would help as well?"... it annoys her a bit, but he's also right, so he gets to hear the most about her relationship with Jake as she uses him as a sounding board (and it makes him realise how well she and Jake fit together and work in tandem). He's also the one who bonds with Jake the most (apart from Julian) so he actually becomes overprotective of Amy+Jake together later on and defends them against the rest of the family. He's also the first one of them all to hear about their engagement, before Amy posts the ring-pic in the family chat.
Amy is inbetween her age-wise!
Fifth - Alonso -> He's quite unhappily divorced with a kid, so he fears for Amy going through the same thing if she makes the wrong choices (and Jake definitely seems like a wrong choice at the beginning). In fact he'd probably prefer if his sister stayed partnerless because he's pretty much burned out on the idea of romantic partners for a while. He doesn't act on it, though, except for mentioning it in the group chat that Amy's not in - he's had enough very stern talks with his big sister that he knows he wouldn't be able to change her mind on anything no matter how much he'd try. It takes him the longest of them all to warm up to Jake because of all that supressed resentment, which pretty much only starts to happen when he sees him play with his son and be a great uncle even despite Jake's own claims that he has no idea how to deal with kids.
Sixth - Julian -> Julian, the 'crazy kid', is all for his big sis living her best life and doing things the Non-Santiago way. So he's, like, 100% supportive of Jake+Amy from the get go. It definitely helps that he knows Jake the most because he lives in the inner city as well and they've met several times before Jake+Amy became a thing and he decided already that this Peralta-dude was far better than Amy ever described him (he's been kind of a secret shipper, to be honest). The thing he gets protective about, though, is during Florida and Jake's jailtime - that's when he brings out the big guns for his sister and messages her daily and tries to get her mind off of things, but also offers a shoulder to cry on. Tbh most of the time during Florida Amy has spent at least two nights a week either at Rosa's or Julian's. He hears the things she won't dare tell anyone else - sometimes not even Rosa - definitely not the rest of her family. How she gets a panic attack every time she tries to figure out a future without Jake if, god forbid, he never comes home. How she can't bring herself to wash his hoodies or clean up the stuff he's left behind, even though all the support-forums and books say she should. It makes him re-consider whether the oh-so-awesome Jake is actually a good idea boyfriend-wise if he keeps getting into trouble like this. But then he sees his sister whenever Jake comes back and how she's actually, for real glowing, and he starts sending Jake ring-suggestions (which are answered with a picture of the actual ring and a swear-to-god-and-Beyonce you will not tell anyone)
Seventh - Benedict, still in college -> Benedict is so far removed from them all (he was a late surprise, if you know what I mean) that he doesn't really feel like he's allowed to involve himself in Amy's life that way. But he also massively looks up to her (and Jake) because he's probably going for the Academy soon because of her - and kinda their dad, but really mostly her. So seeing her date another cop is great in his eyes. The thing he's more concerned about is that maybe being in a relationship with a male detective might hold her back career-wise or make it harder for her to not stand in Jake's shadow (hah, as if...). He's got this big plan of bringing it up with Jake when they're alone some day, that he's concerned and hoping that Jake is progressive enough to support his sister instead of hinder her like a dudebro-asshole. But he's invited to some award-ceremony for Amy first and ends up next to Jake and Rosa and Charles, and he's never heard anyone cheer and whoop louder for his sister in his life, and sees the absolute pride in Jake's face as Rosa punches his arm and says "your boss, man" and he nods so enthusiastically that, oh, well, guess that answers that.

As You Wish, Chapter 4
Summary: When arriving at Camp Silver Star, Abby Floyd was anticipating a summer of adventure with an ocean separating her from the three people she loved most: her mom, her Uncle Bob and her Aunt Natasha. But after a run in with Charlie Seresin, an extremely familiar looking and irritating camper in a different cabin, her summer plans take a turn that neither girl ever could have expected.
Trigger Warnings: reader's children are described as being blond with green eyes because genetics are wild and Jake's genes are strong, reader is canonically Bob's sister (though biological relation is never discussed), reader goes by Buttercup and is tattooed, arguing, cursing, reference to divorce, kids doing sneaky things, references to early child rearing, crying, Uncle Bob (because he deserves his own warning), Uncle Rooster and Uncle Javy (because they also deserve their own warnings)
Clifton, Texas, 10 ½ years ago
âDude, what are you doing? Donât stop!â
âIâm telling you: my vocal cords are going to start to bleed any second! I need to stop!â
âI swear to God, if you stop, Iâm going to find an actual rooster and sneak it into your bedroom at the ass crack of dawn!â
Jake rubbed at his forehead with one hand as he took another lap around his living room, bouncing a screaming Charlie in his arms as he went. The last nine months had beenâŚrough, to say the least. Though his grandfather had graciously opened his home up to his grandson, great-granddaughter, and their two friends, it turned out that securing a home was the least of his worries.
Grandpa Wyatt had quickly hired Jake, Javy and Rooster on as farmhands, their physiques and familiarity with rising early making them ideal candidates for the jobs, but Jake wasnât entirely comfortable with leaving his baby girl with a sitter all day just yet, so he did what chores he could with her strapped to his chest, and spent the rest of the day in the office, doing administrative work with his daughter asleep in her Moses basket behind the desk. Between the physical and mental labour, Jake was ready to hit the sack early almost every night.
However, clocking out for the day didnât mean that his day was done. Charlie wasnât a fussy baby, not by a long shot, but she still required an amount of work that Jake hadnât been expecting. Her first pediatrician visit had revealed that Charlie was slightly behind on her goal weight, which meant Jake had to get up for an additional feeding during the night. But Charlie didnât like the bottle, and Jake honestly couldnât blame her. Sheâd gotten used to breastfeeding from her mother for her first four months of life, and Jake knew firsthand that Buttercup was infinitely better than some plastic bottle.
On top of trying to get her weight up, the Seresin family had also been battling sleep regression, teething, colic, Charlieâs first cold, and delayed milestones. If the doctor was saying that Charlie should be crawling by 8 months, she was doing it at 11 months. The whole thing had Jake lying awake at night, staring at the ceiling, worrying about his baby girl, wondering how Buttercup had managed it all on her own, kicking himself for expecting her to manage it alone when he was deployed.
A loud, shrill shriek had him yanking his head away from his daughter as she sobbed unhappily, her tiny fist curling into his flannel shirt.
âCâmon, Charlie girl,â he murmured into her curling blond hair, pressing a small kiss to her head as he paced. âYou just had your first birthday a few weeks ago. Can you be a big girl for your daddy and stop crying? Please?â Her green eyes glimmered with tears as she continued to sob in response.
âRooster, please, manâŚâ Javy groaned, half buried in a pile of Charlieâs toys that he had been shaking and tossing around in an attempt to get her to stop crying.
âMyââ
âRooster, I will buy you a new set of vocal cords,â Jake bargained as Charlie hiccupped before resuming her shrill shrieks. âPlease, if not for me, then for Charlie. I need her to stop crying before she makes herself sick.â
Rooster whined before turning back to the piano against the wall. âYou guys owe me so bad,â he grumbled before placing his hands on the keys and pressing out a familiar tune. âYou shake my nerves, and you rattle my brainâŚâ
Jake held his breath as the song came to an end, the air ringing with blessed quiet, punctuated by an angelic baby giggle. With a groan, he sank to his knees, his legs too tired to carry him the five feet needed to get to the couch.
âThank god.â He hefted Charlie up to sit beside him on the floor, keeping his hand on her back as he sagged against the wall. âSo, she clearly doesnât like sweet potato,â he sighed, watching her crawl over to a sprawled-out Javy and snatch one of her toys from underneath his leg.
âYou feed her sweet potato again, youâll be the one getting the rooster in your bedroom,â Rooster grumbled, closing the piano with a light thud.
âYou do that, and youâll wake her up,â Javy pointed at the little blond baby currently chewing on her toy giraffeâs foot. âAnd then weâll all be miserable.â
Jake fixed his oldest friend with a glare. âNo shit talking my daughter, dude.â
Charlieâs head popped up at the shift in tone in her fatherâs voice, her green eyes searching the room until she found him, her face breaking out into a wide gummy smile. She pressed her tiny palm into Javyâs stomach and propelled herself to her feet, wavering unsteadily even as Javyâs hand automatically rose to cushion her back. Jake leaned forward, scrambling away from the wall to sit a few feet directly in front of her.
âCome here, Charlie,â he called, waggling his fingers at her, smiling back as she grinned. âCome on, baby girl, you can do it.â
Time seemed to slow down as Charlie looked towards him before taking a small, shaky step in his direction. Javy propped himself up on his elbows and Rooster turned on the piano bench to watch on bated breath as she took another step, then another.
âCâmon, sweetheart. Youâve got this!â
âLetâs go, Charlie!â
âAtta girl!â
Jakeâs heart was in his throat, a feeling better than going Mach 10 racing through his body as his daughter took one last, final step before collapsing into his arms with a giggle. With a loud cheer, he scooped her up and paraded her around the room to the sound of Javy and Roosterâs applause before whisking her into the office and collapsing into his chair.
âIâm so proud of you, baby girl,â he whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead as she cooed softly at him. Heâd missed so much, and his heart panged when he thought about Abby and what he was missing from her life. His hand was halfway to his phone when he stopped himself, pulling it back to hold Charlie tighter against him. Heâd tried before and he wouldnât be putting himself through that again. He missed Abby, of course, but Mav had always told them that they couldnât afford to be constantly looking backwards, that thinking would be the death of them, so he had to focus on the here and now, on the ranch, on the daughter he did have instead of on the one he missed.
âDa-daâŚâ he looked down at the sound and smiled through the tears pooling in his eyes.
âYeah, baby girl. Dada is here. And heâs not going anywhere. I promise.â
The Airport, Now
Charlieâs hands trembled around her passport as the camp bus pulled into the drop off lane of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. She looked up as Abby gripped her wrist with a determined grin.
âLast chance to change our minds,â she whispered as the campers around them started to disembark with loud promises of keeping in touch.
âNo,â Charlie whispered, handing the passport out to Abby. âI want to do this. I want to meet mum.â
Abby nodded, taking the outstretched passport and handing Charlie her own. âAnd Iâm desperate to meet dad.â
âRemember, heâs going to meet you at the gate in Waco, so youâre going to have to bring your A Game right away.â
âIâve got a five-hour flight in order to prepare,â Abby assured. âIâm more worried about you. Uncle Bob is meeting you at the security desk. Are you ready?â
Charlie nodded, a look of steely determination overtaking her face. âI didnât cut my hair and let you pierce my ears for nothing.â
Charlie thought that Amelia was going to have a heart attack when she walked into the Brig on their last day of their punishment to find them looking identical, their hair the same length and an extra pair of Abbyâs earrings studding Charlieâs ears. Sheâd nearly collapsed onto one of the beds when she heard that they didnât want to return to their cabin, that they wanted to stay in the Brig. To her credit, she didnât ask any questions, just shook her head and walked away.
Abby nodded, fiddling with her duffle bag nervously. âRemember, Uncle Bob will be taking you from the airport to meet mum at home. Sheââ
âAbby, breathe,â Charlie placed her hands on her sisterâs shoulders and shook her lightly. âDad is going to love you. And mum is going to love me. And theyâre not going to figure out that we swapped until we tell them a week from tomorrow.â
Abby bit her lip and nodded. âI know. I justâŚI canât wait to meet him.â
âI knowâŚâ she smiled back. âIâm so excited to meet mum.â
Abby smiled suddenly and tugged her into a hug. âIâm so glad I met you,â she whispered, and Charlie wrapped her arms around her, squeezing her tight.
âMe too.â
Abby pulled back, wiping at her eyes. âOkay. You need to get to the security desk. Remember, Uncle Bob will be waiting for you. Brown hair, tall, glasses.â
âAnd Dad will be waiting for you at the gate in Waco. He might have Uncle Rooster or Uncle Javy with him. You remember who is who?â
Abby nodded. âRoosterâs got the moustache. Javy has tattoos.â
âExactly.â
The girls looked up as an announcement came over the loudspeaker, calling an Abigail Floyd to the security desk.
Charlie bit her lip anxiously. âI guess this is it.â
Abby grabbed her up in a hug again. âYouâre going to be great. Call me whenever you need, and Iâll see you soon.â
âSee you soon!â
Charlie took a deep breath and headed off in the direction of the security desk. Coming around the corner, she saw him. A tall man in a pilotâs uniform, with brown hair and glasses, his blue eyes scanning over the crowd until he spotted her, his eyes studying her for a moment before breaking into a smile.
Charlie took a moment to compose herself, whispering under her breath in the British accent she had been practicing for weeks, âYou can do this. You have to do this.â
âU-Uncle Bob!â she finally called out, her accent ringing true as she rushed towards him, tossing her duffle bag to the floor before launching herself into his arms.
âWhoa! Easy, kiddo!â Bob chuckled, gathering her into his arms. âI missed you too!â
âS-sorry,â she murmured into his neck, her arms tightening around his neck. âI just missed you so much.â
âSix weeks was a long time, huh?â
Charlie pulled back, sniffling slightly. âYeah. ItâŚit felt like a lifetime.â
Bob crouched in front of her, his brown eyes tracing over her features like an X-ray machine, and Charlie gulped. There was no way he could know she wasnât Abby, right? They were identical, save for a few freckles here and there, and a scar that Charlie had on her knee. But nobody could remember the exact pattern of someoneâs freckles, and her knees were covered, so thereâs no way he knew.
Finally, he smiled. âIt felt like a lifetime for me too, sweetheart.â He reeled her back in, hugging her tightly before releasing her and drawing himself up to his full height. âNow, come on. Weâve got to get you checked in and ready to go for our flight back home.â
Charlie woke with a start as she felt the plane touch down onto the runway, a smooth landing executed by a skilled pilot. She shouldnât have been surprised. Even though Bob had been with Dagger Squad, like her dad and uncles, he was a WSO, not a pilot, so she was surprised to hear that he was flying passenger aircrafts after retiring, but Abby had told her all about how Bob had gone for his pilotâs license after retiring from the Navy and how Nat had helped him study and prepare.
Charlie gulped nervously. She had had the whole transatlantic flight to soothe her nerves over meeting her mother for the first time, to convince herself that her father wouldnât be too disappointed in her for running away, to assure herself that her and Abbyâs plan would work. She had a sister. And a mother. And an uncle and an aunt that she had never met before. The risk of her fatherâs disappointment was worth it in order to meet them.
As Abby had instructed her, she waited patiently in her seat until all the other passengers had cleared out before taking the duffle that was being pulled out of the overhead compartment by one of the flight attendants and heading towards the front of the plane, where her uncle was waiting.
âYou ready to go see your mom?â
Charlie felt her cheeks flush. âYes!â
Bob chuckled, his eyes twinkling behind his glasses. âAlright, sweetheart. Letâs go see your mom.â Bob shouldered the duffle and led her off the plane, through customs, and down to a town car that was waiting for them. âFrom the last text she sent, your mom is working in her office at home, and Nat is at work,â Bob informed her quietly.
Right. Auntie Nat worked as a kickboxing instructor now since she was given a medical discharge from the Navy. And momâs office was at the top of the stairs, two doors down on the right. Both Abby and Charlie had drawn maps of their houses, ensuring to include even the slightest detail so that there would be no surprises. Charlie had studied the map multiple times a day, until she felt like she could walk it in her sleep, even though sheâd never been there before. Abby had also printed her a map of the neighbourhood when they were given their computer privileges back, as well as a map of the London tube system, though she had assured her that she would never have to take the tube alone if she didnât want to.
âAbby?â
She hummed as her eyes darted here and there, taking in the old buildings and the people. They looked the same as the people in Texas, just less plaid and cowboy hats, but they seemed so different to her. Sheâd only been to a big city a few times, preferring to stick to her small ranching town, so everyone seemed so busy, rushing down the street, their cellphones stuck to their ears.
âAbigail?â
Everything was so new, so shiny. She gaped as an actual, real life red double decker bus drove by their town car, and her stomach was knotted over the fact that they were driving on the wrong side of the road.
âAbigail Floyd, for someone who hugged me so hard you almost cracked my rib, you sure seem intent on ignoring me right now.â
Charlie blinked. Abigail Floyd. That was her. Well, not her, but who she was supposed to be, at least for right now.
âOh. Sorry, Uncle Bob,â she yanked her British accent into place. âI was justâŚreminiscing. You know, about campâŚand about how homesick I was.â
Bob smiled softly at her, his blue eyes twinkling behind his glasses. âIâm glad you had such a good time. I know itâs a struggle to be away from home for so long, but I knew youâd have fun and make friends.â
âI did,â she replied quickly. âI met some great friends, and I downloaded WhatsApp onto my phone so I could keep in contact with them. Is that alright?â
âIâm sure your mom will be fine with that. Thatâs why she got you the phone, after all. To keep in touch with family and friends who are in the States,â Bobâs voice twinged withâŚsomething. Perhaps a hint of regret or maybe even anger.
âGood. Because I really like this one girl,â she grinned. âWe became best friends.â
âThatâs great, sweetheart,â he smiled back. âYou never know where youâll find your best friend.â
âLike you and Auntie Nat, right? You met at Top Gun.â
âThatâs right, sweetheart.â
Charlie grinned. âNow the two of you are basically brother and sister.â
Bob chuckled. âYeah, we basically are. Maybe you and this girl will be like sisters too,â he replied, shooting her a playful look out of the corner of his eye.
She gave him a tight-lipped grin in return. Uncle Bob had always been strangely intuitive, she knew that much from Abbyâs stories, but he was hitting a lot of nails on their heads right now and it was spooking her like crazy. So much so, that she hadnât even registered that the car had stopped moving.
âWeâre here!â she cried, scrambling to unbuckle her seatbelt and get out of the car, her uncleâs echoing behind her as she launched herself out of the open door and up the stairs towards the bright red front door.
âThe doorâs open, sweetheart, so you can go on in,â Bob called, grabbing her duffle and his suitcase from the trunk of the car.
Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she opened the door into the flat that Abby shared with their mother, uncle, and aunt.
The interior was exactly as Abby had described. Homey and cozy, but still posh. The living room to the left of the door held brown leather couches, lots of bookcases, and a few plants hanging from the curtain rod. The window seat was where Abby and their mother read, together and separately. Charlie knew that the kitchen was just on the other side of the living room, where her family ate dinner together whenever Uncle Bob wasnât flying.
But Charlie wasnât interested in any of that, no matter how comfy it looked after a long international flight. No, her sights were set on the staircase in front of her, which she climbed slowly, her legs trembling with each step. She could picture Abbyâs map so clearly in her mind: the first door on the right was the bathroom, the second was momâs office, and the third was Bobâs bedroom. On the left came momâs bedroom, then Abbyâs, then Auntie Natâs.
Charlie stepped onto the landing of the staircase, her eyes locked on the door of the second room on the right, which was cracked open just a touch. Her heart pounding in her chest, she slowly approached and, with a ringing in her ears, she quietly pressed the door open and walked inside.
There she was.
Charlie dashed at the tears that were welling in her eyes at the sight of her mother. Her mother. She wasnât some imaginary figure anymore. She was solid flesh and bone. For years to come, Charlie would be able to picture the way her eyes scanned over the screen in front of her, the way her hair was piled up on top of her head, the way her slim fingers danced across the laptop keys, the way her buttercup tattoo peeked out from the neckline of her shirt. They werenât images conjured up by her lonely mind anymore. They were real. She was real.
âM-Mum?â she whispered.
Her mother almost jumped out of her chair. âOh myâŚAbby?â
Charlie swallowed hard as she nodded. âIâm home.â
âOh, honey, I missed you so much!â Buttercup scooted her wheely chair across the floor and pulled her into a hug, and Charlie felt herself melt as she hugged her mother back just as tightly.
âI missed you too, mum,â she whispered.
âSix weeks is just way too long, love. I donât care how much Auntie Nat raved about this camp, six weeks of you being across the ocean is just way too much for me.â
âI agree,â Charlie nodded into her shoulder. âI donât want to be away from you for that long ever again.â She sniffled as she felt her mother press a kiss into her hair before pulling away.
âYou wonât be, love. I promise.â Buttercupâs thumbs gently stroked away the tears from her daughterâs cheeks before tugging her into a hug again. âI meant to be finished with this chapter before you got home so we could spend the rest of the day together.â
âThatâs alright. Is it coming along?â
Abby had filled her in on how their mother was a relatively successful author, Charlie even recognizing a few of her book titles from her bookshelf at home. Their motherâs writing was part of why Abby felt that their parents would fall in love again when they had to meet to switch them back. Buttercupâs current, more adult story was about a military man meeting and falling in love with an artistic woman, falling apart, and coming back together to live a happily ever after, and it had Abby convinced that their mother still had feelings for their father.
âIâm struggling, baby,â Buttercup sighed. âThese two clearly love each other, but I canât seem to figure out how to get them back together.â Buttercup looked up and smiled at her. âBut they donât matter right now,â she shut her laptop with a click. âWhat do you say you and I go out for lunch? You can fill me in on everything that happened at camp. I want to know everything. Six weeks is just way too long and I just know that you have stories to share.â
Charlieâs smile was so wide, it hurt her cheeks. âIâd love that, mum.â
Buttercup pulled her into another hug and kissed her hair. âGo get changed and Iâll meet you downstairs in ten minutes.â Buttercup smiled as she pulled away from her. âI missed you so much, baby. I love you.â
Charlieâs heart sang in her chest. She knew, of course, that her mom thought she was talking to Abby, but it didnât matter to her. Her mom loved her, it didnât matter who she was directing those words to. No one would be able to take them away from her. They would echo in her mind for an eternity. Sheâd heard those words from her father a million times, and they meant the world to her, but from her mother? They were sacred, special. They felt like a gift she hadnât know she was going to receive.
âI love you too, mum,â she whispered, hugging her tight before racing towards the bedroom Abby had marked out for her on the map.
She finally had a mother, and she wasnât going to miss a second.

Part 2 HERE
SUMMARY: [Supernatural TWD AU] In which Negan is a kinky incubus, Rick Grimes is your secret guardian angel, and Daryl Dixon is a gruff monster/demon hunter. Three drastically different men who can only agree on one thing: making you theirs.
PAIRINGS: Reader x Negan, Reader x Rick Grimes, Reader x Daryl Dixon (Polyamorous Ships)
RATING: Mature/18+/Romance & Smut. Please be prepared and do NOT report.
NOTE: This is actually my first time ever writing an xReader story series as well as writing on Tumblr (I usually only write on Wattpad). As such, it probs won't be perfect though I would SERIOUSLY appreciate your *respectful* feedback and support!
I understand writing xReader content can get a lil tricky, so please just keep in mind that not everything Y/N says or does would be something that you'd do IRL or even approve of. Also, sometimes I may not help but put a teeny bit of myself in Y/N...
Lastly, I recently got back into the TWD fandom after a looong ass time and I'm taking a while re-watching the whole show. So I apologize in advance if my portrayal of any of the characters are rusty or I may not remember too much of the events from the show, but I promise to do my very best and hope y'all enjoy~!! \(^o^)/

"Heavenly Sins"
Part 1
The sounds of laughter and easygoing chatter filled your ears as you walked closer to the church, a light breeze blowing through your F/C floral dress and the sun blinding your eyes. It was Sunday, most residents of the small town of Alexandria having gathered for mass.
It was a day like any other; peaceful and happy, children giggling and chasing each other around as their parents socialized outside before church could start.
Your heels clacking rhythmically on the pavement, you were just about to enter the building before a familiar voice called out.
"Y/N!"
Spinning, a huge smile instantly reached your ears as you saw none other than Carl Grimes waving enthusiastically at you as he jumped out of a car. From the driver's seat, his father soon followed as he stepped out.
Rick Grimes--dedicated sheriff of this fine town. His usual uniform forgone, instead replaced with a casual navy coloured suit. His baby blues met your E/C, flashing you a bright smile of his own that rivalled the sun itself.
Carl was running towards you now, and once in front he gave you a big hug.
"Settle down, cowboy! It's as if you haven't seen me in forever." You chuckled, ruffling Carl's hair affectionately.
"That's 'cause it did feel like forever." Carl pouted, eventually letting go as he looked up at you.
Before you can reply, Rick patted Carl's head and greeted you. "Hey, Y/N. How are things?" He asked in that endearing Southern accent of his.
"Just fine." You nodded, grinning before you couldn't help but let your gaze wander around a bit. "No Judith?"
It was then that Rick's smile faltered, but just barely. You nearly didn't catch it. "No. She's with her mom."
Rick was divorced from his ex-wife, Lori, after he discovered her cheating on him with his also now ex-bestfriend Shane Walsh. After the divorce, Shane and Lori quickly moved to the neighbouring community of Woodbury together and agreed on joint custody of the kids.
It really made your blood boil; you've interacted with Lori only a few times before so you didn't really have much of an opinion on her...that is, until, you learned what had happened between her and Rick. You knew it wasn't any of your business, but you cared about Rick a lot and he sure as hell didn't deserve to get cheated on.
"Oh." Was all you could say, quite stupidly. Your cheeks reddened, mentally slapping yourself before clearing your throat. "Will I see her in the daycare tomorrow, though?" You were a daycare teacher and even though you loved all of the kids, Judith was your favourite. She was simply such a sweetheart.
Rick nodded, his smile softening. "You got it."
You couldn't continue the conversation as the bells rang, making you jump out of your skin. Carl, noticing this, laughed which made you playfully roll your eyes before slinging an arm around him as all of you went inside.
âĄâĄâĄ
You took your place near the back of the church with Carl and Rick. Once everyone was settled and done singing, the service began and Father Gabriel stood on top of the podium. A few minutes into his sermon, the interruption of a motorcycle revving loudly outside sliced through the air. Gabriel flinched in surprise, and it was obvious he was desperately trying to keep his cool. Finally, when it was silent again, you found yourself biting back a smile knowing all too well who had caused the ruckus.
It seems Rick knew, too, judging from how his jaw clenched and his hands turned into tight fists.
The doors were thrown open, making Gabriel flinch once more and some of the congregation turning in the pews to look. But poor Gabriel quickly fumbled with his Bible, raising his voice just a tad to regain their attention.
There was a low whistle accompanying the approaching footsteps, but the congregation did their damn hardest to ignore the latest visitor.
"Damn... I assumed the church would be a lot more welcoming than this." A husky voice whispered, and you at last couldn't hold back as a smile broke through.
"Negan." You whispered back, turning slightly in your seat to see he has taken the spot behind you. His leather clad arms lackadaisically resting on your chair, the musky scent of his cologne invading your senses oh so wonderfully. "Fancy seeing you here."
"What? Is it really that surprising, darlin'?" He grinned, presenting a row of perfectly straight white teeth. "I go to church."
"Not all the time." You pointed out.
"Ah..." He chuckled softly, hazel eyes twinkling. "That's 'cause Father Creepy McGee over there is just that. Creepy. As. Shit."
You bit the inside of your cheeks, suppressing your laughter. True, Gabriel did have his moments, but he wasn't that bad. That didn't change the fact that Negan knew exactly how to tickle your funny bone, though.
He was new to Alexandria. It was a lovely town, but since it was relatively small not a lot of people want to move here not unless it was families looking for their children to grow up in a safe environment. Which was why it was quite a shock to find out that a single man like Negan chose this destination, and even more so when he took everyone aback with his infamous pottymouth and rather inappropriate charisma.
He had moved just a couple of houses down from yours, and you made it your mission to befriend him. Right from the get-go, he had piqued your interest and curiousity. He was different from everyone else--even possessing an air of mystery about him--and that definitely intrigued you. And also, perhaps you were just too nice and didn't want him to feel outcasted. Although, that didn't seem like an issue to him at all.
"Want one?" You were brought back to reality when you saw Negan's hand outstretched with a pack of cigarettes.
"Dude, we're in church." You reprimanded, frowning.
Negan didn't say anything, only cocking a brow and still with that same shit-eating grin. You sighed, finally giving in as you swiftly grabbed one and stashed it away in your purse for later.
"Y/N." You turned to the left, Rick's icy gaze piercing you. "Pay attention."
"R-Right. Sorry..." You mumbled sheepishly.
Carl, who was sitting in the middle of you and Rick, had dozed off. Rick nudged him, but the brunette only groaned softly and snuggled into Rick's chest. Defeated, the sheriff sighed and was just about to listen again to Gabriel before Negan cut in.
"Rick!" Negan purposely raised his voice, knowing it would get a rise out of the other man. "Didn't even see ya there. Howdy, cowboy!"
Rick grimaced, and it looked like he was just going to ignore Negan though he knew that if he did that then Negan would just irritate him even further. "Good to see you, Negan." He forced himself to say.
"Only you can say that while giving me such a deadly side eye, Grimes." Negan snickered. "How have you been? How's the wife?"
Rick flushed, his fists in a tight ball again and it looked like his nails would be digging into his skin. You abruptly swung into action, placing a hand on Rick's own.
"Rick..." You said gently. "It's okay. Calm down."
Rick did, his shoulders drooping as if a heavy weight had been lifted. He can barely pay any attention to Gabriel now, then you suddenly stood up and grabbed Negan's arm.
"We need to talk. Now."
"What, we going for a quickie?" Negan smirked, but that soon faded when he saw your serious expression. He sighed dramatically, reaching his full height as he towered over you before following you out.
At this point, you didn't care if people saw what transpired or would even start gossiping. No one, not even Negan, was allowed to harass Rick. He has helped you through so much shit--more than you'd like to admit--and you at least owed him this much.
Once outside, next to where Negan parked his motorcycle, you exploded. "What the fuck is with you?! You leave Rick alone, or I swear to fucking Christ I will--"
"Woah, woah, woah! Hold your horses, missy!" Negan guffawed, his hands up in mock surrender. "I mean, I like 'em feisty, but goddamn! Watch your fucking language."
"Tch. You're one to talk."
"Did you just scoff at me?" He raised his brows, putting his hands in his pockets as he slowly drew closer to you. A devilish grin tugged at the corners of his mouth, tilting his head slightly. "No one's ever fucking scoffed at me and didn't regret it soon after."
You frowned, letting out a huff as you met his gaze challengingly. "As if you'd do anything to me."
He was silent for several moments before chuckling, leaning back against his motorcycle. "You're right. I have too much of a soft spot for ya." He pulled out a cigarette, lighting it then taking a drag. He drew his head upwards, puffing out the smoke. "Whaddya say we just forgive and forget? I truly am sorry. You can even tell Rick that I am metaphorically down on my goddamn knees begging for forgiveness~"
"I'm not forgiving or forgetting anything until you actually face Rick and apologize yourself." You muttered. And without another word, you spun on your heel and strutted back inside the church with your head held high.
Negan's intent stare lingered where your ass had just been, taking another long drag and letting out a small laugh to himself.
His eyes suddenly glowed a crimson red, a smirk playing on his lips.
Oh, he really did pick a GREAT one.

I swear I'm a straight dude, kind of a ladies' man if I'm honest. I'm the love 'em and leave 'em typeâmaybe that's why I never bothered to get my ex gf (37F)'s last name⌠or her marital status. We were in the middle of a horizontal tango session, if you know what I mean, when her husband (37M, straight??) walks in. I've never looked twice at a man, but he's the most beautiful person I've ever seen, male or female. Sometimes I think he might be into me as well, but then I think it's just 'cause he's kind of a weird dude. When I look at him, it feels like a hurricane inside me, like I'll burst if I don't kiss him. TLDR: Wondering if asking the guy (whose marriage I ruined) out is a good idea.
Keep reading for a sneak preview!
"Where did you guys meet again?" "Oh, um. Through work." It's technically not not true... if you follow six degrees of separation rules. "I think you'd like him. He's funny-- Not like, conventionally funny, I guess, but he's got his own kind of sense of humor that kind of catches you off guard." His phone buzzes again, loud against the counter, and Sam cuts his eyes over to look at it. Dean slides it off the counter to slip it into his pocket. "He's going through a divorce," he blurts, which makes Sam raise an eyebrow. "And he's just-- It's an adjustment, you know? He just really needs a friend right now." More true than his previous partial truth; in fact, that statement is objectively a true one, and it's Dean who's having trouble (apparently?) with parts of it. "Do you need to answer him then?" Sam asks, his tone softening, and Dean imperceptibly relaxes. "Oh, no, he's just elbow-deep into Dr. Sexy after I told him to check it out." Sam rolls his eyes again, laughing this time though, and he goes back to his nachos. "Are you sure being friends with you is the right move, if that's what you get him into?" "Come on, it's perfect breakup watching." "It's the TV equivalent of eating a pint of ice cream so I guess you're not wrong. So, are you helping him rebound?" Dean swallows his beer the wrong way and chokes. "What?" "You've been hanging out a lot." They've been out a handful of times at the Roadhouse, and Dean thinks that shouldn't count as a lot. "Not really sure that's where he's at," Dean says, mostly to the nachos. "Anyway, he wouldn't need my help." "No?" Sam prompts, sounding amused. "No way. He's got this approachable sorta hotness, you know, like he doesn't even realize it, and he dresses like a lump so it catches you by surprise." "Are you sure you're not dating him?" Dean's eyes snap up to find Sam smiling, the joke written all over his face, the picture of disbelief that his macho brother could possibly do something like that. "What?" "'Cas is so funny and hot,'" he teases, shaking out his hair. Sometimes, Dean thinks clearest through the panic, and this feels like one of those times when he throws a chip at Sam. "A good wingman knows how to sell," he says, and watches Sam laugh that one off too, leaning back down to eat his food. Dean's phone buzzes in his pocket. He pokes around at his nachos some more, but suddenly nacho night doesn't seem as appetizing as it did before.

It is a normal day in Tokyo. Sun shining through Nijiro's window, right now he's staying at his Dad's house just to help take care of his dad even though his dad could take care of himself. It has been years since he saw his mom and he barely interacts with his other siblings that were not from his family side and basically was from his step dad's side. He had 4 other siblings that were younger then him,but he could only see them if his mom would come visit him with her other husband which Nijiro hated. He never hated his new siblings that much though, they knew that he was struggling and that it was their mother's fault that he became so unsociable when he was just a teenager. Ever since that day when his parents divorced it broke him,he had chosen to go with his dad because his dad,Jun Murakami did nothing to his mother Ua,he didn't hurt her,he didn't do anything to start the fight. Every thing was perfect until that day had come into his life.
Nijiro only sat there on the stairs, the palm of his hand's covering his ears tightly, tear's fell down from his face as he cried silently listening to his parents fight down stairs was all he could do. Nijiro had woken up from his sleep when he heard the door of the house opening and closing, his Dad told Nijiro that his mother was still at work and will be home late today,Nijiro understood and just went up stairs to go to bed. And when he woke up from his sleep cheerfully and excited to see his mother,he only heard shout of anger and sadness. Which brought into the present where he just sits there shakily, fear, sadness and anger building up in his 8 year old mind of his "What about our son!?,what if his future will be a whole damn dampness all because of you" Jun shouted, his hand in his hair as he Paced around the room angrily "Why are YOU bringing YOUR son into this s**t!?,Besides he doesn't mean anything to me!" Ua responded back,Nijiro heard that clearly and his heart started to shattee in him "m-mommy doesn't like me...anymore.." He said quietly wiping his tears away for a bit as he continues to cry silently on the stairs. He didn't know what to do,he wanted to stop the shout and swearing words that came out of their mouths..but he couldn't do that. Besides,he was just a mere child,no one will listen to him in this situation even his own parents.
He decided to get up and went back into his room to sleep. He got in his room, closing the door quietly as he climbs into his bed, covering his body with the thick sheets of it as he slowly fall's asleep.
How many weeks later, Nijiro came back from school. His dad said that he couldn't pick him up from school today and said to just meet him at their house. He opens the door to see his mom and dad sitting on the couch separately from each other "Watashi wa ie ni imasu otĹsan, okÄsan (I'm home dad, mom)" He said stuttering as he took of his shoes "Nijiro..we have something to say to you" His dad said with a low voice,Nijiro nods as he sit's on the couch beside his dad "Who do you want to go with?" His mom suddenly said "U-Ua..he needs some talking,he doesn't know the situation y-" "I-i know.." Nijiro suddenly spoke, tears almost falling down his face "Ah!- so,you heard..?" His dad said, looking down at him with worry in his eyes.
Nijiro nods slowly as he looked down to his tiny feet "Well...since you already know,we're so sorry that you heard-" "Yes..i know" Nijiro cuts him off again "Then that means I guess it's time for daddy and mommy to....hm,Separate.." Nijiro's head goes up to look at his dad in the eyes "It's about time you told him. Now,who do you want to go with" Ua said, crossing her arms while looking at the two "I- I DON'T KNOW!, W-W-WHY SEPARATE!?" He shouted as tears fall down his face "N-nijiro son..i know it's hard but you have to choose-" "WHY CHOOSE!?,I-I DON'T WANT US TO BE LIKE THIS!" he shouted again,Ua getting annoyed at his behavior "Just pick!,it's not that hard" "Ua!,he's a child we need to take it easy on him" Jun said to her as he hugged Nijiro into his chest "Nijiro,I'm going to say it again...who do you choose between me and mommy,I know it's hard..b-but you have to do it" Jun said, holding him tightly in his arms "T-then...i'm choosing you, daddy"
[6 YEARS LATER]
(Year/date: ??/??/2012)
(Location: ??? Studio)
It has been 6 years ever since he chose his dad's side, they both moved into somewhere else in Tokyo where schools were even closer to their house. Nijiro right now is currently 14 in age and in middle school,he styled his hair so that his bangs would go to the front of his head, kind of a weird style..but his dad recommended the hair style so he didn't mind. He loved his dad so much, his dad raised him ever since that day. Jun is now a single father to one son that he has,he loves Nijiro and he just want's to make him happy. For the past few years Nijiro has been down lately,Jun felt bad that he would stay at work the most because he's an actor and of course the media knows the situation between him and his Ex-wife Ua.He founds out that Ua got married again in 2008 with a guy named BishĹŤ Hasegawa, a non celebrity dude.
He didn't cared though,he only cares for his son and his son only. He still kept their old pictures together as a family on his phone though, he didn't want to loose the precious memories that Nijiro had as a child. Back to Nijiro, he is currently inside a room that had bean bags and other stuff, he didn't know why he was here and how does his dad know this place. Currently he is waiting for his dad to come in the room after talking to a friend that he met the other day he says, good thing it was school break so that Nijiro didn't have to worry about school,he only worries about the stack of homework he has in his room. He sighs as he sits on one of the bean bags in the room, waiting for his dad to finish the conversation between him and his friend.
After a few minutes of waiting, the door's of the room slams wide open to reveal his dad and another guy that was taller then his dad. He had shaggy long straight like hair that was black, and the under side of his hair a yellowish gold. He wore a black jacket with his sleeves pulled up so it stops at his elbow, the zipper of his jacket goes down a bit to just show his collar bone, he had a galaxy like bracelet and some grey and white leggings, and the last part he had bright blue shoes that were a bit big. The man stood behind Jun as as Nijiro stand up "Nijiro you might be wondering who this young ng man is" Jun said smiling softly,Nijiro just tilted his head to the side, confused "You may introduce yourself" Jun said as he moves aside for the man to stand at full few for Nijiro to see "Hello there,my name is Sakurada Dori. But you can call me Dori or onii Chan (big brother) if you like" Dori said,as he biwed a bit at Nijiro "I'm 21 years old,I'm a big fan your dad as you can see. We met yesterday at a park,he mentioned that you were lonely..so I decided to become your babysitter-" "Wait, you want this oldhag..to take care of me?" Nijiro said, looking at his dad in disbelief "Yes!, of course i am,plus he's 21 he is not that old. I just can't bare to see you,my son so lonely and down. So I thought that Dori here could keep you company for today until I'm done with my work. I'll pick you up after that" Jun said smiling at Nijiro softly "Fine, but if this dude is boring I'm done" "Boring?,who says I'm boring. I literally am a master of Uno when it comes to playing it with my friends" Dori said crossing his arms while looking down at the 14 year old in front of him "heh, try me" Nijiro said, crossing his arms too while looking up at him "I see you boys will get along greatly!,well I got to go to work now, please take care of him okay Dori?" "Yes Mr.Murakami,I will do my best!" Dori said bowing at him "No need to bow!,and call me Jun. Nijiro you behave okay?" Jun said as walked out of the room "Okay dad!" Nijiro shouted through the halls.
And that's the day where Nijiro felt happy again,Dori taught him many things in life. He really likes Dori and ends up calling him his own big brother that day. Dori taught him how to have fun,he even introduced him to Fanta, his dachshund.
That one faithful day,he will never forget..
.
.
.
.
"Nijiro?,Nijiro!" Nijiro opened his eyes carefully observing where he was,as he looked at his dad that was on the drivers seat,he realized that he wasn't in his old room anymore. He thought that his dad must've carried him from inside the house all the way inside the car,now he felt bad "Don't worry about me carrying you, besides you're shorter than me,and way more lighter to carry" His dad said smiling at him, "You know you should've woken me up at the house dad" He grumbled tiredly as he rubbed his right eye, looking from the passenger's seat window to be met front faced with his house. He realized that the skies were already a softer darker shade of blue, meaning that it was going to be night time "Well,I can't bare to wake up my son. He'll get grumpy!" His dad said chickling while boiling his nose "Daaad~!, stop!" Nijiro said as he pouted At him,Jun just laughed at his expression remembering the old days whenever he woke him up for him to go to school he would pout and whine..no Nijiro isn't a brat,he's just not a morning person that's all.
Nijiro got out of the car, saying goodbye and thank you to his dad as his dad drove off into the night.
He sighed as he got in his house, turning on the Air conditioner in his living room as he got into the bathroom to take a warm shower, he stripped off his clothes and turns on the shower,he got inside as the warm water hits his skin. After how many minutes in the shower,he got out and wrapped the white towel around his waist, getting out of the bathroom into his room as he got dressed in his night wear. Tomorrow he's going to shoot as Chishiya again, and he knew he had to go to the studio early in the morning,so he got down stairs to have dinner. After dinner he washed his plate and turned off the air conditioner in the living room, going up stairs to go to sleep.
[THE NEXT DAY]
(Year/date: ??/12/2020)
(Location: ??? Studio)
"Okay we're here!" His dad said smiling at Nijiro "Dad,explain again on why do you want to go to work with me??" Nijiro looked at his dad with a confused look "You'll see" His dad said, grinning widely at him as he got out of the car,Nijiro did the same as they both walked to the entrance of the studio. They both got in the main studio to be met with lightening's,cameras and other stuff for the filming. Nijiro went inside one of the dressing rooms to get dressed in his Chishiya costume, his dad following him "Ah! There is our Cheshire!,and oh? I see that you brought the famous one and only Jun with you!" The director said,Shinsuke Sato who looked behind Nijiro to greet his dad with a wide smile "Yes! And you must be the most talented director Shinsuke huh?" His dad said, laughing together with Shinsuke "Dad,don't embarrass me" Nijiro mummbled quietly "Non need to be Nijiro! Me and Shinsuke here are good friends!" His dad exclaims as Nijiro was requested to sit on a black chair so that they could apply his make up and Chishiya wig on.
Meanwhile in the brake room, there were two boy's playing Uno before the filming starts. Both of them already in their characters clothes, and they were both ready for the set. Dori in his Niragi costume holding 2 Uno cards on his hand smirking at the other boy Kento that is in his Arisu costume that has 4 cards in his hands, sending Dori a glare that say's 'you better not have two lucky cards in your hand's or you're dead', Dori just laughed at his glare as Kento put's down a red stop sign card "Hah!,I stopped you! It's my turn again!" Kento said as he put's down the black colour changing card "You may Kento" Dori said smirking at him, kento frowns and thinks on what colour should he pick. He thought on what Arisu would do in this situation "Ah!,I choose the colour....Yellow!" Kento said happily...not longer after that Dori put's down both of his cards, showing two yellow card on the table "Uno game!" He shouted happily "Aww c'mon!, I had plenty of yellow cards! See!?" Kento said showing his cards to Dori.
Dori just chuckled "Well I guess it's my lucky day..Ryohei Arisu" He said smirking, looking at Kento "I'll beat you someday...Suguru Niragi" Kento said, looking at Dori with a serious look until both of them burst out laughing. The two were best friends ever since 2013,they didn't know that their friendship would last for 7 years by now. They stopped laughing when the door of the break room opens revealing a Nijiro that is now in his Chishiya costume and Jun right behind him "Ah,Dori. It has been a long time I haven't seen you" Jun said, smiling at him, Dori walking towards him and giving the much older man a friendly hug "Yes! It's been like..i don't know..8 years?? Since we haven't seen each other?" Dori said smiling "hmm...guess so!" Both of them laughed,Kento walking towards them and bowing at Jun "It is a pleasure to meet you Mr.Murakami" Kento said "Ah,and you must be Kento Yamazaki hm? I've heard you from Dori" Jun replies "Oh,I didn't know he told you about me,but still what brings you here?" Kento asked him "Yeah dad,why are you at work with me?" Nijiro asked, looking at his dad.
"Well..i want you two,Kento and Dori..to take care of my son here" Jun said, looking at both men that is in front of him and his son "I see that I have to be your babysitter again huh Jiji?~" Dori said booping Nijiro's nose"No touching!" Nijiro hissed and rubbed his nose "Aww c'mon you're such a cute wittle baby Jiji~" Kento said, squeezing his left cheek "I said no touching!" Nijiro said as he crossed his arms against his chest "I see the three of you are getting along quite nicely, well got to go now,Nijiro behave" Jun said, walking out the door. Leaving the three boys alone in the room. "So..where should we start?" Kento asked "Maybe the both of you should start by leaving me be. I'm fine okay? I'm almost 24 so f#*k off!" Nijiro hissed as he grabbed his phone from his pocket and sat on one of the chairs of the brake room while playing PUBG on his phone "Jeez...how did you take care of him when he was 14?" Kento asked Dori "Well easy, grab his game boy- well phone now and just let his steam off" Dori said, grabbing Nijiro's phone.
Nijiro looked up at him in disbelief with wide eyes, shocked that he took his phone "WHY THE F##K DID YOU DO THAT FOR!?" Nijiro shouted,Kento stumbled back, startled at Nijiro's sudden tone "You'll get brain damage if you keep staring at your phone non stop, let it rest for at least 1 hour. Now we need to shoot a series" Dori said with a glare and a serious tone,Nijiro shivered remembering ok what Dori did to him when he disobeyed his orders. That day,Nijiro didn't listen to what Dori told him resulting a hard pinch from Dori until right arm got a purple bruise on it "Okay fine!" Nijiro said, stuttering a bit. His dad didn't even mind that Dori pinched him,Cause Jun knows what's right for his son and what's not.
After that, they all started shooting.
After it ended Nijiro sat on one of the chairs and stared into space for awhile until he heard someone calling his name "Oi! Nijiro!,here's your phone. Sorry that I took it from you" Dori said smiling, ruffling Nijiro's Chishiya wig. Kenti doing the same as he smiled widely "You're lucky that you have a babysitter like me and him you know that Jiji?" Kento said grinning widely at him "Hm,thanks" Nijiro said, smiling a bit.
[HOW MANY MINUTES LATER]
"I'll buy you ice cream if you behave Jiji!" Kento said,Nijiro Stole Kento's Takoyaki and now Kento is angry "But these are so good" Nijiro said, chuckling while taking another bite of the Takoyaki "Nijiro..give them back" Dori said "okay okay! I was just playing around with you" He said, while apologizing to Kento. After that they both go back home to Nijiro's house.
"So wanna watch some Disney movies Jiji?" Kento asked"Y-yes.."Nijiro said shyly. Ever since when he was little,he had been a fan of Disney movies "Let's watch Frozen II then!" Doris said, grabbing some popcorn and sitting right next to Kento and Nijiro.
And that night,Nijiro would never forget on how he was getting babied by the both of them until his dad came to his house.
[Sorry for the bad ending- I have too many wips right now and I am tired cause I finished this at night,so I hope all of you enjoyed this âş]

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! whenever iâm watching any sort of ~talk show~ that discusses married or previously married straight couples who wound up having shitty marriages full of arguing and disrespect and cheating,
i swear it almost aallwwwaaaayyyys happens to be the case that, upon being asked why the dude partner fell in love with/married the lady partner,Â
he waxes poetic for like a solid 90 seconds about her appearance.
~she was the most beautiful girl i ever saw, she had long blond hair, she was slender and curvy in all the right places, her smile lit up a room, she looked like a movie star, i took one look at her and i knew i had to have her~Â
and iâm like????
đ¤Žđ¤Žđ¤Žđ¤Žđ¤Žđ¤Žđ¤Žđ¤Žđ¤Ž
this is why any dude that tries to flirt/ask me out upon just meeting me gets a HARD NO. clearly physical attraction is disproportionately high on your list of requirements youâd like your significant other to meet. literally, if youâre willing to invest special time and energy into someone PURELY because you think theyâre hot, then i want nothing to do with you! i mean, i wish you the best, and i hope you do stumble onto some Hot Lady who happens to also have other qualities that you find you love, but i ainât even a LITTLE BIT interested in that.Â
and then like, once the divorce/trouble in paradise starts up, the dude alllwwaaaays complains about incompatible lifestyles, or in other words, she has 0 intention of doing any of the things heâd like his partner to do. like bruh, just because she has Big Boobs doesnât mean sheâs gonna want you to titty fuck her. just because sheâs beautiful doesnât mean she shouldnât still Go Out to hang with her friends at clubs or whatever lest she be Looked At by other men. if you donât want your lady going out and having a good time with the gals, maybe find a lady who doesnât enjoy those kinds of activities in the first place??? theyâre out there.Â
and soooo many of these men who hate the fact that their wife has an active social life that includes bars or clubs...
MET HER AT A BAR OR A CLUB!!! howthefuck you gonna meet somebody at a location you both clearly enjoy spending time at, and then expect her to not want to spend time there anymore now that sheâs your wife???Â
AND AS FOR THE WOMEN,Â
when theyâre asked about why they married the dude, itâs alwaysÂ
~he was so charming, he said all the right things, he gave me so much attention, he told me i was beautiful, he said i was the woman of his dreams~ blah blah blah. gushing over these qualities that, unbeknownst to them but PAINFULLY OBVIOUS TO ME, were just part of a ploy to get her to want to be around him without going through the actual effort of getting to know one another.
And when the relationship starts falling apart, she almost always cites his sudden lack of interest in spending time with her as one of her main reasons for being unhappy in the relationship. which like, DUH!!! girl, this nigga spent like 2 years buttering you up with vague, low-effort ~prince charming~ tropes that had nothing to do with giving a shit about your actual personality and values, reeled you in, installed you into his life like a fucking household appliance that he can just forget about when heâs not using it, and now youâre shocked that heâs an aloof asshole????Â
@ men, maybe bother to make sure that your partner is more than just Smokin Hot before you devour the next several years of her life and make her miserable??
@ women, maybe require that your partner be more than just ~charming~?? maybe start hanging out with some actual Interesting People so youâll be able to learn the difference between soulless pickup lines and Actual Conversation???
maybe???Â
like wow, any boring ass materialistic idiot can be ~charming~ for a few months.Â
legit, i remain convinced that the type of man who pursues these kinds of relationship is literally incapable of experiencing actual romantic love. the extent of their desire for a wife doesnât go beyond just wanting to have a housekeeper that he can put his dick in.Â
like, you realize you can just hire an actual housekeeper, right??? you can just hire a housekeeper and then feel free to fuck scores of consenting beautiful women.Â
