0.4k words, v soft, comfort, gyuu's just a lil drunk

"Gyuu?" Your voice came out soft in the darkness of the apartment living room. 

Choi Beomgyu's arms were wrapped around your waist, his face buried in your stomach. You stood between his legs as he sat on the couch, and you could feel his warm breath against your skin. You could also smell the alcohol, but that wasn't your greatest concern. 

Your fingers found his hair, and you began rubbing his scalp gently in an attempt to coax a response from him. "My love, what's wrong?" 

He hummed against you, a child unwilling to get out of bed just yet. "That," he whined. 

"Hm?" 

He nuzzled his face into your stomach some more, and you frowned, cupping the back of his head affectionately. "My love. What a beautiful thing to be called."

You remained silent, uncertain of where this was going. It wasn't completely unnatural that Beomgyu was acting so affectionately, but saying something like this? Speaking like this? It must have been the alcohol. 

"Want you, baby," he murmured quietly. He clarified, "Wanna feel you in my arms. Wanna feel your love. Wanna keep it safe—wanna keep you safe."

A small smile crawled to your face. Ah, it was his affectionate drunk mode. Your fingers combed through his hair, and maybe you imagined it, but it felt like he was purring. "Baby should feel loved all the time because that's what my baby deserves," he said, his words slurring with drowsiness. 

"'s'always giving so much love," Beomgyu murmured as your heart rate spiked. "Wanna give you everything, too."

You hummed under your breath, eyes staring at the sliver of moonlight illuminated on the floor. "Well, you want to know why I call you 'my love'? Hm?"

"Mm. Mhm."

"It's because you give the word love purpose to me. I love because of you, Choi Beomgyu." You gently smoothed a hand over his hair as he remained silent, trying to listen to you and your words. "I've labeled my love yours. You define my love; that is how much I love you and why I call you that."

Beomgyu stirred slightly and there was a featherweight kiss pressed against your stomach through your shirt. "Mine?" He echoed, voice small. "Your love is mine?"

"It always has been," you assured him and you leaned down to kiss the crown of his head. 

"You're not gonna take it away, are you?" He sounded like a scared little kid, afraid of someone taking away his comfort item. 

You cooed, cradling him. "Only if you promise not to take your love away."

He nodded against your stomach, and perhaps you felt him smile. "I couldn't if I tried."
