What’s your favorite ducktales episode and why?

Either "The Golden Lagoon of White Agony Plains" or "The Phantom and the Sorceress" Both of them to me personally are infinitely rewatchable (Golden Lagoon potentially more so) and they both got their great gags from Glomgold being a highlight like excessively saying that he and Goldie are dating or Gladstone trying to cope with his normal luck. Any episode with Goldie is great and I genuinely can't place my finger on why. But then again the other episode has Phantom Blot who is one of my favourites so it's a toss-up between those two and maybe "The Outlaw Scrooge McDuck."

How I Think Certain DuckTales (2017) Characters Would Wield A Lightsaber

Ok. Here I’ll be going over how I think certain DuckTales (2017) characters would wield a lightsaber in a fight if they were lightsaber duelists. This post was partly inspired by @writebackatya’s If You Could Give Any DuckTales (2017) Character A Gun Which One Would You Give It To post and credit also goes to @boingodigitalart since I probably couldn’t have found it if he hadn’t reblogged it. The idea of DuckTales (2017) characters wielding guns got me to think about how they might wield lightsabers. I’ll be determining what types of lightsaber fighting styles from the Star Wars mythos they might prefer based on their personalities and the skills they already have. Also, Spoiler Alert for the DuckTales (2017) TV series and the Star Wars franchise. With all that out of the way, let’s dive right in.

As shown in the episode ‘The First Adventure!’, Scrooge seemed to favor both blocking and attacking in a sword fight. So, if Scrooge were to use a lightsaber, he might try out something like Djem So, a lightsaber combat form that’s, as stated in The Jedi Path book, about both blocking and attacking in a lightsaber-to-lightsaber duel. Scrooge might also practice Shien, a lightsaber combat form which, as stated in the Fightsaber Jedi Lightsaber Combat book, is basically about reflecting blaster bolts back at the opponent since, as shown in the episode ‘Moonvasion! Part 1’, Scrooge seems to have some skills reflecting blaster bolts back at an opponent. Also, given that, as shown in the episode ‘The First Adventure!’, Scrooge uses his cane as a pogo stick, he might use a sabercane in the same way since, as shown in the Star Wars The Clone Wars episode ‘Lightsaber Lost’, a sabercane is basically lightsaber hidden inside a cane.

As shown in the episode ‘The Golden Lagoon Of White Agony Plains!’, Goldie seems to favor parrying in a melee fight. So, I think that means that Goldie might also try out Djem So if she were to use a lightsaber. After all, as also stated in The Jedi Path book, ripostes are a part of Djem So. Also, Goldie might try out a lightsaber move like Trakata which, as shown in the Star Wars Visions episode ‘The Elder’, is a lightsaber move that involves getting the opponent focused on attacking their adversary’s lightsaber blade before that adversary turns their lightsaber off and then turns it back on as a way to catch their opponent off-guard. After all, as also shown in the episode ‘The Golden Lagoon Of White Agony Plains!’, Goldie is a really skilled thief and con artist who likes to outwit and trick the people around her. Trakata would be pretty risky since turning your lightsaber off mid-combat does run the risk of getting hit by the opponent’s lightsaber as a YouTuber named EckhartsLadder pointed out in their Why didn’t Jedi/Sith TURN OFF THEIR LIGHTSABERS to avoid an opponent’s blade? | Star Wars Lore YouTube video. But, since Goldie is, as I already pointed out, a skilled thief and con artist, and, as shown in the episode ‘The Golden Lagoon Of White Agony Plains!’, seemed to know a thing or 2 about melee combat. I think that she would know just the right time to use Trakata. So, I think that a lightsaber move like Trakata would be fitting for someone like Goldie.

As shown in the episode ‘Daytrip Of Doom!’, Donald fights with a lot of rage that he allows to guide him and focuses mostly on offense by coming at his opponent with a series of wild movements and, as shown in the episode ‘What Ever Happened To Donald Duck?!’, Donald focuses his rage and uses it to protect his family. So, if he were to use a lightsaber, I think that he would try out a combination between Juyo and Vaapad. After all, as shown in The Force Unleashed novelization, Juyo was a form designed for offense and was described as a vicious form of lightsaber combat that is filled with fury and, as shown in the Revenge Of The Sith novelization, Vaapad involved the practitioner using anger as a weapon without letting it control them. Given everything I already said, Donald lets his anger guide him but also focuses and uses it to protect his family. So, I think that a combination between Juyo and Vaapad would be fitting for Donald since he lets his anger guide him like a Sith but also doesn’t let it make him hurt his loved ones like a Jedi.

As shown in the episode ‘Louie’s Eleven!’, Daisy fights pretty ferociously and is able to focus her rage for a specific task just like Donald. So, if Daisy were to use a lightsaber, she might try out a combination of Juyo and Vaapad for the same reasons I said Donald might in my previous point. But, as also shown in the episode ‘Louie’s Eleven!’, Daisy seems to prefer dodging and evading and then delivering a ferocious counterattack while Donald, on the other hand, seems to prefer charging the enemy head-on. So, during a lightsaber duel, Daisy might dodge and evade the opponent’s lightsaber strikes and then counter with ferocious lightsaber strikes with her combination between Juyo and Vaapad as opposed to Donald who would probably just charge the opponent head-on.

As shown in the episode ‘Nothing Can Stop Della Duck!’, Della used acrobatics during her fight against the Gilded Man. So, if Della were to use a lightsaber, she might try out Ataru. After all, shown in The Jedi Path book, Ataru involves acrobatics and it also involves all sorts of energetic movements. And, as shown in the episode ‘What Ever Happened To Della Duck?!’, Della can be quite energetic. Also, using Ataru might allow Della to outmaneuver her opponent with its acrobatics and deliver all kinds of punches and kicks as well as lightsaber strikes. Plus, as also shown in the episode ‘What Ever Happened To Della Duck?!’, Della has a prosthetic leg. So, the kicks Della delivers with her prosthetic would probably do more damage.

As shown in the episode ‘Daytrip Of Doom!’, Webby is quite the combat enthusiast. So, if Webby were to use a lightsaber, she might try out every form of lightsaber combat. After all, given that Webby is a combat enthusiast, she would probably really relish the opportunity to practice as many moves as possible with a weapon she’s never seen before. Webby’s combat enthusiasm probably also means that she would really like to practice lightsaber combat forms with quite a few different types of lightsabers like the regular single-bladed lightsaber, 2 single-bladed lightsabers at the same time, the double-bladed saberstaff, etc. Also, as shown in the episode ‘From The Confidential Casefiles Of Agent 22!’, Webby was trained to fight by her grandma Beakley who was a secret agent. So, I think that means it would be easy for Webby to deduce the strengths and weaknesses of certain lightsaber combat forms. For example, Webby would probably be able to easily deduce that Soresu would only, as Darth Traya described Soresu in the Knights Of The Old Republic 2 video game, delay the inevitable since Soresu, as shown in The Jedi Path book, is a lightsaber combat form that only focuses on defense without any focus on offense thus leaving no room to counterattack.

As shown in the episode ‘The Phantom And The Sorceress!’, Lena has magical powers at her disposal that she can use in combat. So, if Lena were to use a lightsaber, I think that she would try out Niman. As shown in The Jedi Path book, Niman is a form of lightsaber combat that encourages integrating Force abilities into lightsaber combat. Obviously, Lena doesn’t have the Force. But Lena’s magical abilities would make a sufficient substitute. Also, Lena might get some help from Webby to use a lightsaber properly. After all, as shown in the episode ‘The Other Bin Of Scrooge McDuck!’, Lena and Webby have a strong bond and, as I already pointed out in my previous point, Webby was trained to fight by her grandma Beakley who was a secret agent. And I think that Webby would be incredibly thrilled to spar with Lena given their bond and the fact that, as I also already pointed out in my previous point, Webby is a combat enthusiast.

As shown in the episode ‘The Duck Knight Returns!’, Drake Mallard AKA Darkwing Duck is able to take quite a bit of punishment and keep on fighting. So, if Drake were to use a lightsaber, I think that he would try out Djem So. After all, like I pointed out earlier, Djem So is about both blocking and attacking. And, as shown in the episode ‘Moonvasion! Part 1’, Drake takes the enemy’s punishment and counters with his own strikes. the defensive part of Djem So would be perfect when paired with Drake’s resilience and ability to persevere and the offensive part of Djem So would be perfect when paired with Drake’s ability to fight back while persevering through the enemy’s attacks. But I think Drake might also practice Soresu. After all, as also shown in the episode ‘Moonvasion! Part 1’, Drake has a limit to how much punishment he can take before collapsing and is somewhat lacking in terms of fighting skills compared to other characters from the DuckTales (2017) TV series. Plus, Drake might exercise more caution when dealing with an opponent who is wielding a lightsaber since, as shown in the episode ‘Let’s Get Dangerous! Part 2: A Case Of Mistaken Reality!’, Drake as well as Launchpad were able to think up strategies to take down the Fearsome Four by playing off their weaknesses that they read and watched in in-universe Darkwing Duck media. And, as shown in the Star Wars: Darth Bane: Rule Of Two novel, Darth Bane taught Darth Zannah Soresu in order for Darth Zannah to accommodate for her relative lack of physical prowess with Soresu’s dedication to defense and redirection. So, Soresu might also help Drake accommodate for his relative lack of fighting skills. And Drake might also practice a little bit of Ataru. After all, as shown in the episode ‘Let’s Get Dangerous! Part 1: The St. Canardian Guardian!’, Drake sometimes fights with acrobatics and, like I pointed out earlier, Ataru is about acrobatics.

My name is Izzy, and I'm Donald Duck's niece. I'm 6 years older than my brothers Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and we all grew up together on the houseboat. My brothers are incredibly mischevious and are always causing trouble, so they can never be left alone, but Uncle Donald almost never lets me babysit them. One day, he brings us to meet our Uncle Scrooge, the richest duck in the world! He seems vaguely familiar, almost like I've seen him before, but that can't be possible. I've never seen him on TV, so where could I have possibly seen him before?

One night, Uncle Scrooge asks my brothers and I to join him at a Gala to celebrate the opening of a new wing of the Duckburg National History Museum. My brothers and uncle are wearing suits, and I'm wearing an orange sequined dress Uncle Scrooge gave me.

Huey asks, "So why are we at the Gala for the Flintheart Glomgolf wing of the National History Museum?"

I add, "Yeah, I thought he was, like, your worst enemy, and now we're here to celebrate him? I don't get it."

Dewey adds, "Ugh, yeah! And look at this tacky setup! Somebody is trying way too hard." A waiter walks by, and he says in his best 'fancy' voice, "I'll have a virgin peach julep in your fanciest glass, thank you."

The server sighs and walks away.

Louie says, "All these trinkets are just from times Glomgold lost to you! A pebble from the lost city of El Dorado. A singed kilt from that fire pit in Crockatoa."

Huey adds, gesturing at a large, impossible skeleton, "And this 'Glomasuarus Rex' is clearly just a bunch of random parts stuck together. Honestly, how could you know it wore a crown?"

I smirk, asking, "How could you know it didn't?" Huey glares at me, and I chuckle, adding, "Just try to suspend your disbelief for a few hours, Hue."

Dewey asks, "So what are we doing here anyway?"

Uncle Scrooge explains, "As upstanding citizens of note, it's our responsibility to support Duckburg's cultural institutions... And these cocktail weenies are on Glomgold's dollar."

He starts stuffing food from the buffet table in plastic bags and hiding them in his coat pockets, and Louie asks, "Aren't you rich? Why do you need free food."

Uncle Scrooge responds, "I didn't get rich by wasting money, I got rich by beating my enemies!" He takes a large bite of a Vienna sausage, adding, "Stock up, kids!"

Louie starts scratching at his neck, saying, "Ugh, these custom suits are the worst! I think I'm getting a rash!"

Uncle Scrooge says through bites, "Mm, nope, that's the plastic lining. Saves on dry cleaning, and you lose less dip."

He pours dip directly into one of Louie's pockets, and I start packing cubes of cheese and some chips into my dress's large plastic-lined pockets.

Dewey unties his bowtie and says cheerfully after our pockets are stuffed, "It's not the cut of the suit, it's how you wear it! Take my playfully loose bowtie. Is he coming? Is he going? Did he party so hard it just flew open?!"

Suddenly, Uncle Scrooge gasps when a duck woman in a long golden dress appears at the top of the stairs. She makes eye contact with him while he remains frozen in shock, and makes her way over to him.

I ask, "Who is she?"

Louie adds, "A cursed villain?"

Dewey adds, "A villainous curse?"

Huey adds, "A... uh..." He sighs, then exclaims, "Man, I hate going third!"

Uncle Scrooge responds finally, "Worse. It's my ex!"

Huey asks, "Your ex?"

I add, "As in, your ex-girlfriend?"

Uncle Scrooge responds, "Ex-partner, ex-rival, ex-everything." The duck woman finally reaches us, and Uncle Scrooge adds in a low tone, "Watch your wallets, wee ones."

The woman says in mock shock, "Please, Scrooge! I would steal from children! Well, u nless they had something I really wanted, or I was bored, or-"

Uncle Scrooge interrupts her, grumbling, "Goldie O'Gilt, the Ice Queen of Dawson. I thought I heard the clatter of cloven hooves!"

Goldie says back, "Scroogie McMoneybags, the tightwad of Duckburg. That clatter was probably your brittle bones settling, ya gilded geezer!"

Dewey mutters, "I feel both disturbed and intrigued."

Suddenly, Glomgold pops up next to Goldie and rests an arm on her waist, saying, "Oh, hello Scrooge! This is my date, Goldie! What's that? Your ex you say?" He fakes a gasp, adding, "How awkward this must be for you."

He laughs, and Goldie peels Glomgold's hand from her waist, grumbling, "I'm not your date."

Glomgold continues like she didn't say anything, "Does it make your blood boil with jealousy, Scrooge? You're just a sad third wheel! Deadwood! A-"

Music starts, and Goldie immediately takes Scrooge's hand and starts dancing with him.

Glomgold mutters, "Touche, Goldie. Let the love games begin."

Goldie and Scrooge keep dancing, exchanging flirty banter the entire time.

Goldie starts, "It's been a long time, Scrooge."

Scrooge adds, "And yet, it still feels too soon."

Goldie grimaces, "Oof, your tango's as rusty as your joints, old man."

Scrooge spins her into a dip, asking, "How's this for rusty?"

Goldie responds, "Oh, not bad. But let the lady lead."

Louie coos, "Ooh! Scrooge has a crush!"

I add, "I guess there truly is nothing else like rekindling an old flame."

Huey adds, "True love is truly ageless!"

Dewey adds, "Ooh!"

Glomgold exclaims, "Somebody dance with me! I need to make her jealous!"

He forcefully grabs me by the wrist and spins me around way too fast, and I start feeling nauseous, nearly throwing up. Dewey tags in with Glomgold while I heave in the corner, and he starts dancing enthusiastically.

Glomgold exclaims, "Stop one-upping my one-upmanship! Dance worse than me!"

Dewey responds while dancing, "No can Dewey! Woohoo!"

Once my gut is under control, Louie helps me back over to where he and Huey are standing, watching Goldie and our uncle.

Uncle Scrooge stops dancing with Goldie, saying, "Cut the patter, O'Gilt. What're you really up to?"

Goldie asks, "Why do you think I'm always up to something?"

Uncle Scrooge responds, "Because wherever you go, you leave a flaming wreck in your wake."

Goldie says flirtatiously, "Can't start a fire without a spark, Scroogie."

Louie gags at that, and I say, "Oh, relax, Louie. It's just romance."

Louie groans, "Yeah, old-people romance."

Dewey joins us as Glomgold steps up to a podium, announcing, "Ladies and gentlemen, hated rivals, I am proud to unveil a brand new exhibit! Dug up by me very own oil crew in the Yukon; Behold! The feared, the terrible Glacier Monster of the Klondike!"

He pulls a cloth off of a large display skeleton, and Uncle Scrooge gasps, 'I know that beast!"

Goldie smirks smugly, and pulls a small remote out of her pocket. She presses a button on it and the lights turn off, and when the lights turn back on only a moment later, the skeleton's skull is missing!

The crowd gasps, and I hear a British woman ask, "What's going on here? Is this a surprise?"

Glomgold exclaims, "What?!"

Uncle Scrooge mutters, "We need to go."

I say, "But Uncle Scrooge-"

He says louder, "Now!"

We follow him to the limo, and Launchpad takes off.

Uncle Scrooge growls, "Goldie. Step on it, Launchpad! I need to get to the mansion!"

Louie coos, "Ooh, tell us about your new old girlfriend!"

He makes kissing noises, and I add, "When's the marriage? Do you have any kids we don't know about?"

Dewey adds, "Ooh, did you smooch in the dark?"

He makes kissing noises just like Louie, and Uncle Scrooge exclaims, "We weren't smoochin', ya wee numpties! It was all part of her plan to steal that map and mammoth skull!"

Huey asks, "Ooh, so you could smooch it together?"

Dewey groans, "Ewe!"

Louie adds, "What?"

I add, "Why would you ever ask that?!"

Uncle Scrooge explains, "No! Because that was no ordinary skull! Back in the Gold Rush, when I was prospecting for my fortune in the Klondike-"

Huey interrupts, asking, "Wait, Gold Rush? How old are you?!"

I add, "The Klondike Gold Rush was in 1896, so you must be at least 150 years old! How are you still alive?"

Uncle Scrooge responds, "A timeless Demon dimension, among other things. Now, can I get back to my story?"

Huey and I nod.

Uncle Scrooge explains, "I let that swindler Goldie repay a claim by helping me search for the legendary Golden Lagoon of White Agony Plains, but that mendacious minx stole my map! I managed to catch her, but in the scuffle, the map tore in half! Before I could get it back, we were attacked by the Glacier Monster of the Klondike, a Wolly Mammoth!"

I ask, "How was there a living mammoth in 1896?"

Uncle Scrooge mutters, exasperated, "Can I just get on with my story?"

I huff, but let him continue.

He says, "Goldie dodged its attack, but lost her half of the map inside the teeth of that beast! We escaped with our lives by being promptly frozen in the ice."

I ask, "Oh, was the mammoth thawed out? Is that why it was alive?" Uncle Scrooge's eye twitches, and I mutter, "Sorry. Continue."

Uncle Scrooge finishes his story, "For five years, I was stuck in that cursed glacier, forced to stare at her thievin' mug before we thawed. The Golden Lagoon of White Agony Plains is the one treasure that greedy gillie could never find, until Glomgold dug up the Glacier Monster's skull! That's the real reason Goldie came to the Gala." We finally arrive at the mansion, and he yells, "Launchpad, brakes!"

Launchpad slams his foot on the brakes, nearly avoiding crashing into the Glacier Monster's giant skull.

Uncle Scrooge growls, "She's here."

He runs inside and my brothers and I follow after him, and we finally find her in Uncle Scrooge's home office wearing his top hat.

She's sitting in his chair and asks, "Hey Moneybags, where's the other half of the map?"

Uncle Scrooge asks, "Where are Beakley and Webbigail?"

Goldie opens the closet door, revealing the two tied Beakley angrily asks, "How could you let that thief back into-"

Goldie shuts the closet door again, muffling the rest of Beakley's sentence.

Uncle Scrooge says, 'You reprehensible recreant."

Goldie smugly says, "Please, stop flirting in front of the children."

My brother and I coo, "Ooh!"

We scream as Uncle Scrooge tosses a chair at us, slamming the door shut so we don't get hit, but we lean our ears against the door to hear what they're saying.

Uncle Scrooge says, "Takes a fossil to find a fossil. Eh, Goldie?"

Goldie responds, "Says the man who still wears spats and a top... hat." It sounds like there's a scuffle, and she exclaims, "Give me my map!"

Uncle Scrooge exclaims, "Get your pilfering paws off my headpiece!"

Goldie exclaims, "I've got the map!" There's a sound like rustling paper, and she grumbles, "Fine. We team up. With our two halves of the map, we can finally find the Golden Lagoon."

Uncle Scrooge asks, suspicion dripping from his voice, 'Amd why should I trust you?"

Goldie responds in a flirtatious voice, "Because it's gold, because it's a treasure you never found, and because you're Scrooge McDuck."

She and Uncle Scrooge say in unison, "You think you know me so well."

My brothers and I open the door again, chanting, "Date! Date! Date!"

Uncle Scrooge and Goldie exclaims in unison, "It's not a date!"

I ask, "Are you sure? Sure sounds like a date to me."

Uncle Scrooge yells, "Out! Out of my office, the lot of ye! To your rooms! I better not see any of ye until tomorrow!"

I groan, "Ugh, fine, jeez. Have fun on your date."

Uncle Scrooge growls, "It's not a-"

I mutter, "Yeah, yeah, I get it."

We empty our pockets onto the dining room table and head upstairs. I change out of my itchy dress and change into my soft silky pajamas. Uncle Scrooge finally gets back home the next day, in a different set of clothes and empty-handed.

My brothers and I coo, "Ooh!"

Huey adds, "Tell us about your daaaate with your giiiirlfrieend!"

I add, "Yeah, and the marriage!"

Dewey adds in a baby-like voice, "And your baby and the baby carriage!"

Louie asks, "Ooh, and if we get a new aunt, will she give us lots of fancy presents? Wait, she's not in the will, is she?"

Uncle Scrooge storms off to his office, exclaiming, "Oh, grow up!"

My brothers and I laugh, messing with Uncle Scrooge about his 'date' for the rest of the day.

I've been big in the horror genre recently. Last night, I watched Saw I & II for the first time with my friends J and L. J has been a big influence in me getting into horror movies. L can't really stand horror, but he handled it. Funny thing, between the films, we cheered up with some DuckTales, The Golden Lagoon of White Agony Plains! and Jaw$!.

I made L watch DuckTales a little while ago, those were the next in line for him to watch. J's not really into, but he liked both episodes. Next morning, aka this morning, J and me watched Rec. L bailed out. Very good movie. Before leave, I talked him into watch one more Duck's episode. We watched The Other Bin of Scrooge McDuck!

J seems to like the Webby/Lena combo, who wouldn't?

Little by little, I'm trying to get my friends hook in the Ducks.

So i wanted to uh keep practicing drawing humans and i drew Goldie as a human! (again)

and i thought it looked pretty ok so i posted it here

i cant think of anything else to say and usually i have a lot of things to say

I just wanna see one sweet kiss between them, like in the good old days!

But in all seriousness, and before a meme turns into a discussion (aka, debates and complaints about the show), I just wanna say how much I love that the writers put the effort into characters to make them three-dimensional. Even the most confident of characters have their fears and insecurities.

I can only interpret Frank’s “Hmmmmmm,” as a confirmation. We’ll probably be learning a lot more about Goldie in the near future that he doesn’t want to give away.

For now, it seems that for whatever reason, Goldie fears true emotional intimacy and vulnerability. She tries to be strong and remain in control. 

She prefers to use romance as a means for material gain. But it doesn’t mean she doesn’t have feelings for Scrooge. It just means she’s afraid to let her guard down. Maybe because of the time period in which she grew up, she’s afraid of being seen as the lesser. She doesn’t want to be viewed as weak, or conquerable. 

And of course Scrooge doesn’t view her that way. Scrooge has his faults, but misogynistic creeper isn’t one of them. 

Sometimes people have trust issues because they’ve been hurt. Other times, they have trouble trusting because they are untrustworthy and expect similar behavior from others (remember Lena’s “This is exactly what she wants you to do because that’s exactly what I would have done!”). Goldie may have been hurt when she was young, or her own sketchiness has made her wary of everyone else. Maybe it’s both.

I’m really looking forward to seeing Goldie around and learning more about her. And while I’m not exactly rooting for her and Scrooge to wind up married or anything, I wouldn’t mind seeing Goldie show Scrooge some genuine affection without smacking him across the face with a tin pan.

How I Think Certain DuckTales (2017) Characters Might Interact With Certain Recess Characters

Ok. Here I’ll be going over how I think certain DuckTales (2017) characters might interact with certain Recess characters. It occurred to me that some of these have quite a bit in common but are also a bit different. Also, Spoiler Alert for the DuckTales (2017) TV series, the Recess TV series and the Recess: School’s Out movie. With that out of the way, let’s dive right in.

I think that TJ Detweiler might get along just fine with Goldie and Louie. After all, as shown in the episode ‘Economics Of Recess’, TJ is pretty smart and is willing to use his wits to make money just like how, as shown in the episode ‘Happy Birthday Doofus Drake!’, Goldie and Louie were willing to outsmart their competition to make money. And @boingodigitalart called Goldie and Louie as well as Gosalyn the Scheme Team in his fanart posts. So, given what I said, TJ would be welcomed as a member of the Scheme Team. However, Goldie, Louie and TJ might have an interesting conversation when it comes to the concept of a childhood. After all, Goldie, as shown in the episode ‘The Golden Lagoon Of White Agony Plains!’ is more than a century old which means that she left her childhood a very, very long time ago and is probably pretty cynical about it whereas TJ, as shown in the Recess: School’s Out movie, strongly believes in making the most of your childhood and having fun before you eventually have to grow up while, as shown in the episode ‘Day Of The Only Child!’, Louie wanted to be a rich kid rather than just another kid but, at the same time, wanted to have fun just like any other kid which all probably means that he might try to be the voice of reason between Goldie and TJ. So, they might disagree a bit on a few things but might eventually come to an understanding. After all, as shown in the episode ‘The Substitute’, TJ hated authority figures and really hated Mr. E for his strictness and no-nonsense attitude but they eventually grew to respect each other. So, if TJ was able to come to an understanding with an authority figure which is the type of person he usually hates the most, he’ll certainly be able to come to an understanding with another troublemaker which would probably be the type of person he loves the most.

How I think Webby and Lena might interact with Spinelli and Gus pretty much comes down to Spinelli’s and Gus’ history with fighting for Webby and how Spinelli and Gus handle their emotions for Lena. Webby, as shown in the episode ‘Escape From The ImpossiBin!’, loves fighting and was trained to be a great fighter by her grandma Beakley. Spinelli, as shown in the episode ‘First Name Ashley’, is very aggressive and loves to fight. And Gus, as shown in the episode ‘Gus’ Last Stand’, learned to stand up to a bully thus inspiring a whole playground of kids to stand up to him as well which Webby might like to hear about given that, as shown in the episode ‘From The Confidential Casefiles Of Agent 22!’, she can be quite optimistic and inspirational. So, given all that, Webby might like to spar with Spinelli and Gus and give them some training. Spinelli, given what I said about how she loves fighting, would probably be very enthusiastic about the training, especially after finding out that Beakley, the woman who trained Webby, was, as also shown in the episode ‘From The Confidential Casefiles Of Agent 22!’, a secret agent. After all, it’s not every day you get to be trained by someone who received training from a secret agent. As for Gus, he would probably take to the training too considering that, as shown in the episode ‘The Substitute’, he accepted some martial arts training from Mr. E and, as shown in the episode ‘Gus’ Last Stand’, he seemed to look up to his dad who is a U.S. Army Officer. On that note, I noticed that Webby, Spinelli and Gus were all raised by people who were involved with the military in some way. Webby was raised by her grandma Beakley who, as shown in the episode ‘From The Confidential Casefiles Of Agent 22!’, was a secret agent who worked for SHUSH. Spinelli was raised by her parents who, as shown in the episode ‘Parents’ Night’, were government agents. And Gus was partly raised by his dad who, as I already pointed out, was a U.S. Army Officer. As for how I think Lena might interact with Spinelli and Gus, I think that Lena would respect Spinelli and Gus quite a bit. Lena might respect Spinelli because, as I pointed out earlier, Spinelli is quite aggressive and Lena is quite aggressive too as shown in the episode ‘The Split Sword Of Swanstantine!’, where Lena wanted to smash a tile containing a piece of the Sword Of Swanstantine with a hammer in order to get the piece. So, both Lena and Spinelli are fully willing to embrace their aggression and anger to get the job done. Also, despite their aggressive sides, Lena and Spinelli both have their artistic sides too. After all, as shown in the episode ‘The Shadow War Part 2: The Day Of The Ducks!’, Lena wrote a poem explaining how she came into existence and, as shown in the episode ‘Spinelli’s Masterpiece’, Spinelli made a gigantic drawing of the school and its playground. And Lena and Spinelli both learned a thing or 2 about accepting emotions given that, as also shown in the episode ‘The Split Sword Of Swanstantine!’, Lena coached Huey to accept his anger and, as shown in the episode ‘That Stinking Feeling’, Spinelli learned to accept her feelings for Johnny V which allowed her to then overcome them. So, Lena and Spinelli have quite a few similarities which means that they both might respect each other. As for Gus, Lena might respect him too since he, as I already pointed out earlier, stood up to a bully which then inspired the whole playground to stand up to him too. After all, that might remind Lena of how she, as shown in the episode ‘The Shadow War Part 2: The Day Of The Ducks!’, stood up to her aunt Magica De Spell. So, they both overcame their fear to stand up to someone.

As shown in the Recess: School’s Out movie, Gretchen is pretty smart and loves science. And, as shown in the episode ‘The Most Dangerous Game…Night!’, Gyro is a very smart scientist who was able to make a shrink ray. So, Gretchen might want to learn from Gyro. However, as shown in the episode ‘The Great Dime Chase!’, Gyro can be quite arrogant to an extreme fault and is quite cynical. So, that might make working with Gyro a bit difficult for Gretchen. But Gretchen has had experience with very cynical people she wanted to learn from before as shown in the episode ‘Gretchen And The Secret Of Yo’ where she was able to learn from and get through to a yo-yo expert named Tommy Tate and even pretty much became friends with him despite him brushing her off at first. Plus, as shown in the episode ‘Astro B.O.Y.D.’, Gyro seemed to be optimistic back in the day and also learned to treat BOYD like a real boy and even grew to respect Fenton. So, Gretchen might be able to get through to Gyro and learn from him. As for what Gretchen might think of Gyro’s relationship with BOYD, I think that she might be rather perplexed by it at first before then coming around and accepting it and the fact that BOYD is just like any real boy. After all, as shown throughout the Recess franchise, Gretchen never encountered a fully sentient AI before and, as shown in the episode ‘The Last Adventure! Part 2: The Lost Library Of Isabella Finch!’, Gyro developed a father-son relationship with BOYD as well as Lil Bulb, another fully sentient AI. So, Gretchen might have a difficult time wrapping her head around it. But I think Gretchen might come around and accept it and the fact that BOYD is just like any real boy after observing how BOYD feels emotion and reacts to situations in a similar way to how a real boy would. After all, as shown in the episode ‘The Experiment’, Gretchen makes conclusions based on observation just like pretty much any scientist. Also, this all might get Gretchen intrigued by BOYD and his sentience to the point that she might be curious to see if the AI in her handheld computer, Galileo, can be made fully sentient or not. After all, as shown in the episode ‘The Experiment’, Gretchen can be quite curious and inquisitive and, as shown in the episode ‘The Girl Was Trouble’, Gretchen went through a lot of trouble to try to get Galileo back. So, that might mean that Gretchen might be curious about if Galileo were to be fully sentient.

As shown in the episode ‘The Principals Of Golf’, Vince really likes playing sports. And, as shown in the episode ‘The Golden Spear!’, both Della and her son Dewey really like going on adventures. And, since playing sports and going on adventures both involve great athletic abilities, I think that Vince might get along just fine with Della and Dewey given that they all spend quite a bit of their time putting their athletic abilities to the test. Also, I think that Della and Dewey would both like to talk about sports with Vince albeit for different reasons. As shown in the episode ‘Raiders Of The Doomsday Vault!’, Della is a seeker of thrills who likes to face off against danger. So, Della might enjoy playing sports that might really get her adrenaline pumping like boxing for example. As for Dewey, he might want to ask Vince to show off his sports skills on his Dewey Dew-Night show. And, as shown in the Dewey Dew-Night! shorts, Dewey wants his Dewey Dew-Night show to become popular. And I think that Vince might say yes since he, as shown in the episode ‘The Principals Of Golf’, helped Principal Prickly beat his brother Paul and Paul’s teammate Foster in a game of golf. Also, I think that Dewey and Vince would really enjoy hanging out with each other given that they both can be pretty eccentric. As shown in the episode ‘The Duck Knight Returns!’, Dewey is really passionate about the Rule Of Cool. And, as shown in the episode ‘The Barnaby Boys’, Vince was really passionate about a mystery book. And I think that Della might enjoy seeing her son Dewey hang out with Vince. After all, as shown in the episode ‘Nothing Can Stop Della Duck!’, Della cares about her sons and really loves them. So, Della might enjoy seeing her son have a new friend. And I also think that Della might want to join in too. Also, I think that Della would like to do some stunts as well as play sports with Vince on her son’s Dewey Dew-Night show to help Vince make Dewey’s show more popular. After all, as shown in the episode ‘The Richest Duck In The World!’, Della let Dewey interview her on his Dewey Dew-Night show.

💛 The Golden Lagoon Nebula ✨

A little something I’ve been wanting to create for a while, based on the pickaxe tango from “The Golden Lagoon of White Agony Plains!” and a mix of inspiration!

The base image is of the real Lagoon Nebula (I saw the name and the “waterfall” in the nebula and knew it was meant to be XD) out there in space (original image found here; credit: NASA/CXC/SAO; Optical: Adam Block/Mount Lemmon SkyCenter/University of Arizona).

The idea for the “ghost” Scrooge and Goldie on the bridge came from this image of some recently-discovered “Dancing Ghosts” (a.k.a. curved galactic jets), which I thought was so cool and spooky, and, well... *points to username*. ;P
