I came home from the seaside with no wifi (as soon as I came back Bee went "I missed our unhinged ass", I feel so loved) two days ago, so I am back on my "Ghouls on vacation headcanons" bullshit

more specificaly: what patterns would the four surfer Ghouls (Rain, Swiss, Sunshine and Aurora) have on their boards

full disclosure: I have never surfed and I'm not an expert on surfboards, this is PURELY about the colours

RAIN

he'd go for either monochrome (obviously blue) or some sort of sea-related pattern. When I saw the bottom photo, I immediately headcanoned it being a gift to him from the pack. It's his favourite one and he makes sure he takes care of it properly

SWISS

I can't really explain this one, but as soon as I saw the one on the bottom I went "yeah Swiss has that one" so... he gives off the vibes of owning all of these

SUNSHINE

inspired by her name, she leans towards the colours of the sunset, although a occasional floral pattern is just as loved

AURORA

she is the pretty princess and her boards reflect that. Once she learns how to surf properly, she immediately goes for the pink boards. Her first ones are simple, but eventually she changes it up to patterned ones. She sees the bottom right one a while later and immediately decides to get it, even if it's not that pink

everyone meet my son, Pizza Roll

it took me like two months to make him and he doesn't have any eyes because all the safety eyes I had were too small and looked so weird

(it's a Toothless plushie, I got the pattern "How To Snuggle Your Dragon" off of Etsy and it's by RedMillsCrochet)

I'm actually very proud of it, it's the first plushie I ever made and I think it came out quite well all in all

3: what is your favourite way to self care?

honestly it really depends on the day and what I feel like I need. Sometimes it's as simple as turning on a favourite show or reading a favourite book. When I need hardcore pampering tho, I run a bath for myself, maybe get an ice cream, and put on a vinyl :3

13: what can make you excessively angry?

mostly when people, who start yelling at me and give me A Tone, get annoyed at me when I match their energy, and then act like I was the one who started it.

17: what was your favorite color as a child and what is your favorite color now?

as a child, I was OBSESSED with pink. Like I had my room painted pink, and my furniture had pink accents and so on. Now, my favourite colour is blue. I especially love pastel blue and deep dark blue tones, although I found myself starting to like pastel pink again :3

I don't really think I have a lucky number, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be the number 8. I don't really have an explanation for this one, other than "I like the number" 😭

🧛‍♀️ - what's your favourite horror character/monster?

eeeem... I have only recently started watching horror movies (I watched the Conjuring universe, Insidious movies and Alien (if it counts), and I refuse to watch them when I'm alone because ✨️I want to sleep at night✨️), but as far as favourite characters go, it would probably have to be Lorraine and Ed (they're so in love your honour (me when fr fr) and VERA'S ACTING?? THE SCREAMS??? QUEEN SHIT FR). For monsters I'd have to say the Nun probably, idk I love the eerie vibes and out of all the movies I think The Nun had me most fucked up and nervous. Honorary mention to the Alien tho, love myself some weird creatures.

it honestly really depends on the day 💀

sometimes it's a comfort show or movie (Ghibli movies ftw), a silly youtube video, a good book (personal favourite for when I gotta turn my brain off: To All The Boys I've Loved Before) OR the most common choice: a song I can do some silly movement to (again it depends on the vibe I'm going for, but usually it's either Square Hammer / Mary On A Cross (Ghost), Touch In The Night (Battle Beast) or something along the lines of Soldier, Poet, King (The Oh Hellos), also honorary mention to Smash Into Pieces with their bangers)

Bee if I could elaborate with a full on ficlet I would, but allas I have One Scene clear in my mind rn, and even that isn't fully fleshed out so

but like if I expand on the Ghoul ideas because a) I got that brainrot and b) the possibilities

hypothetical battle scene. Why? I got no clue onther than "that's the vibe the song is giving" and like Ghouls using their magic??? Sign me tf up. But anyways-

obviously they use their claws and teeth as well but this song is very "someone's magic going absolutely batshit wild" to me (also I feel like the Ghouls that are topside would only attack if they need to defend the Clergy)

Dew would be in the front line I think. Fire at his fingertips at first, then slowly making it's way up his arms, completely at his disposal, waiting for his command. The tips of his hair catching as well at one point. An ominous glow from his chest, where his magic is stored, casting shadows on his face that make his usually elegant features absolutely horrifying to look at. Twisting his face into something truly demonic. The air smells like sulfur and burned wood, singed earth.

Rain would seem like the calmest of the group, absolutely stoic, but it's the type of "calm" you get right before the wildest, angriest storm you've ever seen. The air around him is staticky, and the scent of rain heavy in the air. Any moisture around completely at his command, ready to surge out at the slightest twitch of his fingers. I think he could absolutely dry out someone like a raisin if the person was in his line of sight, or fill their lungs with water, either works. His moves would be elegant while fighting, accentuated by the lines and spots of bioluminescence on his skin.

Aether and Phantom/Aeon would basically... melt into their surroundings, for lack of a better word. Their forms would be fuzzy around the edges, making their opponents think they were halucinating. They could either choose to daze their opponents with their quintessence, or cause them excruciating pain, effectively incapacitating them, making them easier prey for either them or other Ghouls.

Our beloved air Ghoulettes would be a force to reckon with. Wind whipping around them, their hair wild and teeth bared. They could suck the breath right out of the attacker's lungs, or send out gusts of wind strong enough to knock them off their feet, or completely out. The air currents absolutely strong enough to help them move faster around the field and pushing them high enough to look like they're flying, before suddenly cutting off, letting them land directly on their target. All that howling wind would be LOUD, loud enough to send anyone running just from the sound.

Mountain using his earth magic would shake the ground, making it crack under his hooved feet, opening up the earth right under his opponents. Eyes glowing bright green in the dark, the magic that is usually loving, nurturing, helping plants to grow and thrive, would now allow him to use those plants as restraints or to impale the unsuspecting attackers from behind, trees creacking as his power flows through the ground to their roots.

The three multi Ghouls would be a mixed bag. Swiss would basically dissapear into the shadows, the only thing visible would be his wide grin and glowing orange eyes as he hunts any runaways down through the forest. He'd use the shadows to blind his opponents, toying with them after by loudly laughing, the horrid sound echoing through the forest, and by lightly touching their skin, before going in for the kill. Meanwhile, Sunshine and Aurora would use light. Again, blinding their opponents, but also burning them if they got their hands on them. One of them would pull the "blind them by putting her hand on their eyes and producing pure white light" (yes, think Shadow and Bone style). While they wouldn't use the lightly-touching game Swiss does, they'd still be giggling. A usually innocent sound turned creepy in this scenario.

After the battle is over, some of the Ghouls would definetly pass out due to their powers depleting their energy (specifically Phantom/Aeon and Aurora, since they're the newest and don't know their limits yet) or get heavy nose bleeds. Would they make it out completely untouched? Absolutely not, they'd be covered with the mixture of their own blood and that of their opponents (but nobody is dying in this ramble because my heart won't let me kill them off lmao). They might be hurt, but they successfully defended their home.
