That’s a Muscovy duck!
#or at least a mixed breed#she must be feral#I hope those ducklings weren’t in long#i can’t imagine the chlorine was very good for them#ducklings are squishy in a different way than chicks it’s wonderful#I’d say it has to do with being waterfowl because goslings feel similar#confession: I used to go to an independent farm store and just play with the baby birds in the spring#i definitely enjoyed it more than they did but I wasn’t thinking that at the time#playing really meant checking their water and heat lamps and holding them gently#bee bee bee#i miss baby animals#also it’s true: it is easy to hold duck like hamburger <3
