The Prince & Princess of Wales, accompained by The Duke & Duchess of Edinburgh, hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace in connection with the coronation of King Charles III.

Maybe I’m just not getting it but I don’t understand how anyone can look at the coronation portrait with all the working royals and think “ah yes this is a great representation of the commonwealth and the future of the royal family”. 60% of the commonwealth population are under 30 years old. W&C are the only people under 50 in that photo, Princess Alexandra has to be physically held up by Sophie and Edward. This is the image that’s supposed to give people hope for the future of the monarchy. Harry and Meghan leaving was a catastrophic loss for the BRF. The freshness and relatability she gave off was something they are lacking. If only they realized what an asset she could have been for them and weren’t jealous of her popularity.
