Honestly? the rise of Hürrem Sultan in Süleyman’s harem and the rise of Anne Boleyn in Henry VIII’s court; Anne’s influence lasted from around 1526 to 1536, and  Hürrem’s lasted from ~1520 until her death in 1558. 

23. What country’s history do you know a lot about besides your own? Why and have you been there?

I guess I would have to say England/the UK? Although mostly with a strong English focus and only in a very certain time frame: from the Wars of the Roses to the Early Tudors.

I do really love Madame de Maintenon, I don’t know if she’s my favorite but I do think I’ve read the most about her out of other female HF. It’s just so hard for me to pick a favorite lol

4. An HF I really dislike

Hmm, I don’t think it’s so much that I have a specific HF that I dislike (aside from the obvious ones) maybe Winston Churchill? Like, I don’t really dislike him, I’m just exhausted with how popular culture remembers him.

What if “Narcos: México” characters took the MBTI test?

So... Here I am again. I had fun a few weeks ago writing about how I imagine each "Narcos: México" character could represent each zodiac sign - and some of you had fun reading it too! So now I'm back with a new idea: what personality type would each "Narcos: México" character get on the MBTI test?  👀

If you don't know this test, it's a personality test based on a theory written by Carl Gustav Jung that divides people in 16 different types of personalities. The personalities are defined by different combinations of letters that represent specific aspects of our behaviour and way of thinking: "I" for "Introverted", for example, "T" for "Thinking", "J" for "Judging", and so it goes. This way, your result will be something like "ENTJ", or "ISFP".

This test is not universally accepted as scientific, true or correct, BUT, as in the case of zodiac signs, I think it's a lot of fun, hahaha. 🤣 If you don't know your MBTI yet, you can take the test here.

SO, wich MBTI profile would correspond to each "Narcos: México" character? My "methodology" here was the following: I took every MBTI profile and thought about wich character it reminded me more of. A few of them were a bit... off: I couldn't really find any character that seemed like an INFP to me; and there were a few characters I could see in more than one profile (Amado, for example, is always giving me trouble when I try to define him, wich I think is very telling about him 🤣). I think that, for the nature of the show itself, “Narcos: México” features more characters that fit in the Analysts and Explorers types; the Diplomats were much harder to find.

EDITED: I added Pablo Acosta as an INFP, as @criatividad-e​ suggested. I still think "Narcos: México" doesn't feature any TRUE INFP, but I think Acosta is in fact the closer to that we can get. As @criatividad-e​ said, "he is empathic, sensible and has that thing about keeping his community united". 😉

I have to say I LOVE character study and discussing character personalities in detail, that's why I love writing this kind of post... AND lately we've been having very interesting debates about Ramón Arellano Félix and his specific personality traits ( @ducavalentinos and @curaheed shared some very interesting thoughts about it  👌 😆), so I can see I'm not the only one who loves this kind of conversation.  😌 👀 As always, I’ll add I’m pretty aware a lot of this comes from headcanon, and, for my headcanons, you can blame @thesolotomyhan​ (if you’re not reading her stuff yet, go do it asap).  😌🤐

Let's examine each of them, shall we?

The Analysts

There's a lot we could talk about with Món: from his speedo, to his ass (or lack of lolol) to how he would propose, but i'll go right into the serious important question here reina: do you think he could be committed, faithful to a woman 100%? like Mín is with Ruth, as far a we know? bc i have to say s3!Món did established he's a party boy, he likes having fun, likes going out with his friends to the clubs, where obviously he attracts the attention of viejas who dgaf if he's married or not, so would he have the strength to say: thanks, but no thanks i'm married? I can see it going both ways: him cheating, not seeing the big deal about it and just asking you to forgive him later, OR him following Min's path once he found the one. I love mi ninõ hermoso with all my heart, pero I have doubts if he could do faithful...perhaps once he's older, what do you think? @ducavalentinos​ 1) i think it would be cool to discuss cesare's "participation" in juan's murderer! obviously we will never know the real person behind, but it would be interesting for you to bring facts about the union of the borgia family and how they all worked 2) it's common for people to point cesare's "psychopathy" or "indifference", right? maybe it would be useful to bring details about his military campaigns in the company of his men or even with some affairs!

Tha! these are great ideas! I did do a set about Juan’s murder and how unfounded it is to have Cesare as the most likely suspect, but I never did one about their relationship specifically, and I’ve been wanting to do it for awhile now, since the always claimed rivalry between them is what leads to the assumption of Cesare as the most likely suspect in his murder, but there is absolutely nothing that points that they hated each other or were jealous of each other, ( I think it’s one of the most absurd and empty claims in the Borgia historiography) and it might be nice to show some of their letters they exchanged, Cesare even signs it exactly like he signs that one letter to Lucrezia, it def. shows this union of the Borgia family you mentioned.  And omg his “psychopathy” loool, it’s always funny to read these crazy and totally pseudo-psychological analysis of his character (or how it is presented it anyways) and his biographers always going: he was indifferent to everyone and everything! a man with a heart of ice!!! anyways here’s 183274 evidence that shows he actually seemed to care about a lot things and more than a few people in his life and he was always generous with them too. You’re right, it might be useful to bring more details about all that, I just need to figure it out how to elaborate it, but thank you for sharing these ideas with me, I’ll do my best to make some of them happen <33
