I really liked the way you characterized bez and pecco in your fic, and it got me thinking about the relationship between marc and the academy. And since you opened your asks, you me yapping about It's so weird because he is closer to them in age than he is in Valentino but by the virtue of his achievement he seem kind of unattainable to them. And obviously because of the rivalry, they don't really interact with him (except to pick a fight but that doesn't count). But then, he becomes pecco's teammate and, unless they put a wall in the ducati garage and factory, he will have to get to know him. And he realizes maybe Marc is not that bad (batshit insane maybe but not evil), and while marc is initially guarded around him, they do eventually get closer (and probably ropes the whole academy into becoming friends with him). Valentino may advise him against it but pecco is a grown man he knows what he's getting into.

Now I hesitate, whether this should be abo or not, but i think the secondary gender dynamics are very interesting (the idea of pack as a family or the whole non verbal communication through scent etc ), also it forces people that are trying to ignore their feelings for each other into situations they don't really like. Or maybe an au where you share a soulbound with people close to you.

My point is, at some point, marcnaia end up share that bound (whether romantic or platonic), and that pisses Vale so much, cuz secretly he thinks "that is my rival with whom i had a disastrous and very divorce, go find your own" (and pecco probably can feel that since they share a bound ), especially if he never got to build that kind of bound with marc and regrets it because maybe it would've saved them . (honestly it would be funnier if they are just friends but Rossi is just there in the background eyes twitching because he thinks there is something more). And Marc is like "what exactly is your problem" (beside the obvious),and either things get so weird they HAVE to talk about it (unlikely) or some catastrophe happens and vale has to get his shit together and maybe realize he fucked up concerning marc, but i am not too sure about how it would play out.

Anyway, just wanted to share this with you, maybe it would give you ideas. Side note: I love your writing, it's amazing. You really know how to balance between hurt and confort.

I defo think that for some of the academy, notably, Cele and Bez, there is still a very unattainable air to Marc. I mean, Marc is an 8-time world champion, after all. I think for luca, it is less of that due to his relationship with the brothers and being around when Marc and Vale were friends. Pecco is also a world champion, so Marc is a little less untouchable for him, but I defo think there's still that air around him because Marc really should be the God of the sport. Especially after Vale retired. But he's become a bit of a devil. Anyways so the academy defo see Marc as slightly apart, untouchable but dangerous etc etc

Now- pecco and marc!!!!!!! I want to write a fic about their friendship and vale being jealous! I actually have a draft on my laptop!

I defo think pecco is going to develop a bit of a soft spot for marc. Like, Marc is really just insane, especially about winning, lol. So they get close, and it kinda drags some of the academy into their friendship, too. Like bez begins to humanise him, luca already likes marc, but they get closer!! Cele is 100% hero worshipping which is hilarious and kinda sweet.

Okay, I really love abo and I think that could be so good, but I have a few other abo fics in the works, so maybe for this one, I wouldn't. But, that being said, I adore your ideas of both abo and soul bond au!!! I think there's so much that can be done with those AUs. I especially love the soul bond ideas or something similar. Keep an eye out for some abo AUs going forward though, there's a few coming!!!

In terms of jealousy- pecco and marc are definitely having a championship rivalry, but it's very professional and civil. They love battling each other on the track and being friendly off it. Vale is watching this like what the fuck and he keeps babbling to Pecco about mind games. Pecco has just reached the point where he roles his eyes and ignores it, humming every so often to make it seem like he's listening. Because he's an adult and Marc has been nothing but polite and civil. If they fuck up, they apologise to each other and move on.

Vale is watching all of the Ducati videos where Marc and Pecco are doing stupid things together and are laughing, and marc is looking at Pecco like he cares, and Pecco is clearly attracted to Marc (or Vale thinks so?) And excuse you, that's Valentino's rival and enemy. How dare Pecco be his friend, how dare he take marc away?

Pecco has no idea why Vale is suddenly acting so weird. Marc clicks on pretty quickly but thinks it's just that he hates the friendship him and pecco have formed, not that Valentino is jealous!

I'm not sure what would happen that would make them get their shit together. Probably alcohol involved, though, let's be real. Marc definitely gets his 9th title and Vale isn't as mad as he thought but he really needs Pecco to back off and oh? He's jealous???

I absolutely love the idea of marc hanging out with the academy without Valentino knowing too. Or maybe marc is invited to the ranch or something, and Vale just feels awkward and jealous watching his boys riding and joking with Marc fucking Marquez as if he's always been there and suddenly Vale can imagine marc always being there. Fitting in with their little family. And next thing he knows, he's imagining mornings with Marc, waking up and watching him in the early morning light because he's so beautiful and UGH. Anyways cue Valentino breakdown.

Pedrosa and his manager Alberto Puig have firm grip on the Repsol Honda garage. Pedrosa has been drafted in by Honda to win back the MotoGP title, and Puig has taken advantage to ensure that he controls events inside the team. Pedrosa and Puig are rumored to be demanding a wall separating the two sides of the Repsol Honda pits, and will have a very strong say in who will replace Nicky Hayden in 2009. Unfortunately, Pedrosa doesn't really want anyone as a team mate, so any such quest will be very difficult. The news from Misano that Pedrosa will be running on Bridgestones from the Indianapolis race onwards will potentially make things even more complicated. The question is whether both Repsol Hondas will be on Bridgestones, or just Dani Pedrosa, with the garage split in the same way as the Fiat Yamaha garage. (x)

After Nicky Hayden's less than surprising switch to Ducati, the 2nd worst kept secret in MotoGP was announced at Motegi today. HRC formally announced that Andrea Dovizioso will be heading to Repsol Honda as Hayden's replacement. The Italian rookie has made a big impression since arriving in MotoGP, and his long-standing relationship with Honda, including struggling to compete with the much faster Aprilia's in the 250 class, made him a racing certainty for the Repsol Honda seat. The devil of such a deal is, as always, in the details. Dovizioso signed a one-year deal with Repsol, in itself a rarity, as the factory team has preferred to work on a two-year cycle with riders. But Dovizioso's biggest challenge will be sharing the pits with Dani Pedrosa. With the full weight of the team's Spanish sponsor behind him, as well as a competent political operator at his side, Pedrosa has had most of the attention from HRC over the past two years, even going so far as to engineer a switch to Bridgestone tires in mid-season, breaking up a long-standing relationship which HRC has had with Michelin. But according to GPOne.com, Dovizioso has secured some powerful guarantees from Honda. Firstly, according to Masumi Hamane, President of HRC, both Dovizioso and Pedrosa will be afforded equal treatment, with a decision made during the season as to who will get preferential access to new material based on who is ahead in the championship at that time. Furthermore, regardless of whether a single tire rule will be introduced or not, Hamane said that "regardless of what happens (with respect to a single tire rule - Ed.), we hope to be able to give both riders the same tires. Even more intriguingly, Hamane ruled out that the two sides of the garage would be divided by a wall, as is the case in the Fiat Yamaha pit box, and as was introduced into the Repsol Honda garage after Pedrosa switched to Bridgestones. The one inkling that all is not well at Repsol Honda is the length of Dovizioso's contract. Signed for just one year, his contract will run out at the same time as Dani Pedrosa's, opening the way for a complete shake-up of the team. There are already strong rumors that Dani Pedrosa has been given notice that he will be fired if he does not win the 2009 world championship, and unless Honda can sign another Spanish rider with championship potential, it is not unthinkable that the Iberian oil giant may reconsider its sponsorship of the factory team. Repsol is increasingly desperate for a Spanish world champion, and if Pedrosa fails them, they may feel they are not getting the necessary return on their investment. (x)

I'd prefer to have a good relationship with Pedrosa, but if he doesn't want that then it certainly won't be a big problem for me." Dovizioso, who made his MotoGP debut this season, has signed a one-year deal with HRC, and the Italian says it was what both parties wanted. "We wanted it that way, and they accepted that immediately. We need to evaluate each other: both of us want to put ourselves to the test." (x)

The relationship between the pair has been strained since Pedrosa collided with Hayden at Estoril in 2006 in an incident that looked set to destroy the American's title hopes until Valentino Rossi's crash in the Valencia finale allowed Hayden to claim the crown after all. When a wall was erected down the centre of the Honda garage at Indianapolis following Pedrosa's controversial mid-season switch to Bridgestone tyres, Hayden hinted that it would make little difference because there had been no exchange between the two riders' crews anyway. But in an outspoken interview with the official MotoGP website, Puig has accused Hayden of relying on Pedrosa's set-ups and of harbouring jealousy towards the Spaniard. "All I can say is that Hayden may be bothered because now he can't access information and telemetry data from Dani's bike," Puig told motogp.com. "With this information he was able to improve his riding, as he had all of Dani's references and now he can't use that any longer. He was simply copying as he never knew how to set-up a bike. "A professional rider can't be complaining because he can't get access to the other rider's data, because finding what works best is his job, not the other rider's. "Everybody knows that a racing team doesn't work like a football team. It involves two riders, but each is working for himself and the factory will support the rider who has the best chance. Because when it comes to winning, only one rider wins. It has always been like this and it always will be like this - anybody who says the opposite is just lying to look good." Puig claimed that Hayden had never been an equal rival to Pedrosa. "Honestly, and without trying to offend anyone, there was never a rivalry in the garage," he said. "Nicky won the title when Dani was in his first MotoGP season, and since then there was no rivalry because he (Hayden) didn't get the results. On his own, Dani gained experience in this class and Nicky was always behind him, so Nicky has never been a serious rival." Hayden will leave the Honda team for Ducati at the end of the season, with Andrea Dovizioso taking the place. The Italian has already intimated that he expects a difficult relationship with Pedrosa and Puig, who said Pedrosa will regard Dovizioso as just another rival. "He has shown loyalty to the factory, and now he gets a perfect move for him," said Puig of Dovizioso. "As for how it will affect us? It really won't change much and won't affect our way of working. Well that might be because Dovi has been described by Alberto Puig (Pedrosa’s manager)as “just another rival”, but Dovizioso is keen to emphasise that there is no bad feeling in the Honda camp. Right… Still, Dovizioso’s goals for the 2009 season includes beating the pants off his teammate, especially with only a year to prove himself as a factory rider. “To finish ahead of Dani would be important, and I am confident about my chances, but I will be mainly focused on stepping on the podium any time I can, being consistent with my new Honda HRC throughout the season.” (x)

Having signed an extension to his current deal with Honda, Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa continues to be regarded as the Spanish team's favorite rider for the 2010 MotoGP title. However, the Japanese manufacturer made it very clear that there would be no favoritism within the Repsol Honda team next year, as both Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso will be given equal chances to fight for the title. The situation in the past hasn't been quite the same however, as Pedrosa was constantly advantaged in terms of bike development ahead of former teammate Nicky Hayden between 2006 and 2008. As his height was considerable shorter than Hayden's, it caused the North American rider to score inconsistent results throughout the 2007 and 2008 seasons. The Honda officials insisted that won't be the case next year, as both riders have the power to sustain a title fight next season. “Dovizioso and Pedrosa will have the same position inside the team. We work together with the two riders, both of them, because that's in everyone's interest. It's not true that we have worked just for Pedrosa up to now. We have two riders and we use the work and the information from both of them. Andrea, too, is very useful for development work, and he will be more and more so,” said HRC vice-president Shuhei Nakamoto in an interview with Motosprint. To emphasize this change in strategy, Nakamoto also confirmed that Dani Pedrosa's long-time manager Alberto Puig will no longer be in charge of the technical developments of the Honda bikes, but be handed a more organizational role within the Spanish team. Both Pedrosa and Dovizioso have signed one-year extensions to their current contracts with HRC, but the Italian's contract has a clause that can keep him at Honda until the end of 2011. HRC's change in strategy seems to be related to Pedrosa's public attack at his team in recent weeks. • 020917 - Yibo gets his motorcycle driving license. months after meeting yinzheng in November 2016, he really spent all his time on Motos. Then early the next year he finally gets his first one, A Ducati 1199 Panigale S. The fact that it is color red which is ZZ’s color is not lost on me. You would think he will get a green one but he didn’t. The more logical explanation would have to be that his idol Rossi rode this particular model so maybe that’s why he was drawn to it.

He was spending most of his time practicing with the moto and getting hurt. 🥲🥲🥲

• 021017 - He flies to Beijing and wore a Gucci Hoodie. Lol. The irony is not lost on me. Tho I have to say, this kind of GUCCI logo clothing was pretty popular at the time so this could be Bobo just going along with what was on trend. But like, this will never happen now. HAHAHAHAHA! He has completely changed his wardrobe staples. It’s just cute to see him wearing what is essentially ZZ’s brand. If you cpn, then he wore that specifically because it reminded him off ZZ.

• 021117 - ZZ posted for lantern festival and reminded people to eat. What’s interesting is the 4th picture is that of a pink pig. We know what WYB is jokingly and lovingly referred to as piggy by his fans.

on the same day, he recorded a weekly video diary and published it. people are saying that at this time, he already knew that they were gonna be guests @ TTXS. then he goes on to talk about the weather, the bit we are 👀 was when he said this:

"I heard from a friend that Beijing is extremely cold"

sure. he has lots of friends in Beijing. that is practically his home base already. but wait, who just arrived in Beijing yesterday? WYB. Also CPN here is since he knows that he will go to TTXS, they might have been communicating already (and it came up in conversation that it’s cold in BJ. Even today, with LRLG, them talking about the weather is a staple.

• 021417 - It’s valentines day and WYB posted on weibo with a caption alluding to he is by himself and this is what valentines is like. Actually the hashtag was related to valentines. So this is him throwing it out there that he is alone and playing video games. Also the use of a dog filter is not lost on me. He really is the puppy.

Then comes ZZ with his V-day special episode of his video diary and he said some really sus things on here. Never mind what he is wearing. A white hoodie that we didn’t really see in full but from the top half kinda looks like the GUCCI one WYB wore. Yes, there are lots of white hoodies in the world but this is the cpn brain working overtime. Also, I’ve said earlier that Bobo might have worn that to match ZZ. Couple hoodie 💛 or, ZZ was purposely trying to match Bobo, this is not GUCCI at all but he wants to match since it’s Valentines and Bobo is all alone.

Back to what he said on the video diary,

“Even if you don’t have a lover, your family members and best friends are still lovers, right? In fact, they are people you care about.”

This is classic ZZ. He is so kind to the single people, completely different to how he treated single dogs in 2020. lol. Maybe because he is not in a relationship yet at this time so he can relate and feels for the people who are alone on V-day. However the foreshadowing here is what he said that friends can be lovers. I wonder if he means that he is someone who wants to establish a solid connection and friendship with someone before crossing over to a romantic relationship.

In this timeline, they are casual friends who probably stalk each other on weibo sometimes + talk randomly. they are each other’s “special friend” but never have the time to actually take it a step further. This statement is like coaxing WYB, you might not have someone special this day but you have me, your friend. I care about you. and isn’t that so sweet? That’s what i love about them. They are friends first. No matter how much toxic people try to wash their friendship and twist it to fit their narrative — any sane person could see it. It was undeniable during CQL filming and promotion. It’s such a strong foundation of a romantic relationship and why we think they will last for a very very long time. 💛

021517 - ZZ posts in the secret garden and the time on the notes app is 11:08 ( 8 is Bo ) and you have a star too.

021917 - WYB was stuck recording in Changsha for TTXS and had to stay up till 7:00 AM the next day to finish his work.

Also on the same day, ZZ released a weekly video diary entry where he reminded people to take care of themselves and eat their meals. Since we’re on a cpn route and thinking that Web also watches ZZ’s content, he might have watched this. ZZ knows, so he added that bit in as a reminder. My favorite bit about this vlog tho is he was talking about his Happy Camp episode that just aired and he said hopefully the next time he comes on it will be more fun. Then years later, he does guest on HC with WYB and it was so much FUN. ☺️

Then he posted selfies with a drawing. I really think it’s him that he sketched but people are saying it looks like babie yibo too. Lol.

022017 - Early flight from Changsha to Beijing for Yibo and wore shoes with hand painter doberman on it. For all the lion-association we gave him, especially on the early days, it’s interesting to see how dogs/puppies appear.

022217 - Yibo posts on Weibo with a kadian of 43. This is really an excuse to explain what’s with the number 43. Again, it’s okay if you do not believe in Kadian — I struggle with it too and i’m very selective, but if you enjoy it and love trying to figure out potential hidden meanings then go ahead.

a simple explanation for the number is 43 means "I love you" in the Morse code (Morse code, regardless of the length of the signal point, L is pressed 4 times, u is pressed 3 times. So simple memory, 43 It is LU, which is the abbreviation of loveyou)

however the more romantic and yizhan biased is it’s involvement with the story “The Little Prince” especially the part about watching the sunset 43 times and how it relates to sadness / missing someone. So it’s like when the little prince is sad, he has to watch the sunset 43 times a day, because he misses you and is distressed because you are not around. So 43 means love you for a long time, I hope you will be with me in the future, you will never be alone~

022617 - ZZ posts on weibo saying that he will attend the event for Monster Hunt 2 soon. Then he says “ I want to meet you soon”. This is most probably for his fans but since we’re clowns, we know he is going to Beijing where Bobo is.

030317 - WYB attends Private Shushan Academy press conference and he is wearing GUCCI. lol. This is so weird especially for me who knew Web after this and he was already wearing streetwear brands.

030417 - I wanna add this here cause WYB posted a selfie before starting work @ TTXS and their weibo account comments. This is a clue that the weibo account pays attention and may clown Yibo if they want. It’s a popular CPN that they alluded to Yibo being a fan of XZ after the 3.14 meeting so i’m archiving this moment. An example of the TTXS account loving Bobo.

030517 - On that day WYB flew to Beijing from Changsha, he looked very tired. At 18:06, he posted two selfies on the UNIQ official website , this selfie along with some captures from the airport looks like he was tired. The selfie seemed like it was taken specially for someone. He might have posted these 2 but who knows how many he took and sent others to ZZ.

In the meantime, ZZ also posts on Weibo about him being sick. LOL. how did you two become sick at the same time? 😂😂😂

The words ZZ also used and placed under quotation had the initials of WX = WANG XIAO or you can also assign WANGXIAN to it. Some next level coincidence right there if you ask me.

031217 - At the airport, Web wears a JW anderson striped neck thing ( idk what it’s called ) accessory that ZZ also wore for his X9 photoshoot.

AND FINALLY 03142017, we all know what happened. At the end of the day, ZZ was photographed leaving and WYB posted selfies for White Day. 🌹

There is really something so magical with this day. The moment WYB often answers as the “first time they met” and how it really stuck with him. How ZZ and that moment made an impression on him and vice versa. There is a reason why it’s such a favorite bxg holiday. 🌼 I have removed quite a few individual updates between them that have no cpn connection so this post can remain a candy-biased look into specific incidents.

At the end of the day, it was relatively harmless fun, mild inconvenience at worst. It's not like he was injured from the frequent encounters, his pride...an another question.

Of course no one let Marcell visiting his family's grave in New York go alone, not since they became his new family. While Rozália (and mostly everyone) preferred warmer climates, she hadn't given up on exploring an causing just a tiny bit of trouble during their stay. Marcell must be in need of a few fresh stories anyways. The first time was a genuine accident, she almost apologized. Almost.

It sort of became a surprise visit after she figured out the coffee shop is indeed the police officer's favorite go to as a start of the day. And it pretty much ended the same, with him drenched in his morning coffee; at this point she wouldn't be surprised if she was reflexively shot on sight by now. She was slowly but steadily upping the speed, nowhere near the full power but more than enough to warrant a large fine.

The woman snickered under the devil helmet, the familiar rush of adrenaline attaching its tiny hooks into her better judgment. The bright red Ducati zipped through street with an astonishing 150 kmh, shamelessy taking advantage of the small pools from the rain at dawn, adding a graceful arch of water to the usual spillt coffee.

Tires screeched at the quick brake to study her handiwork, for the first time even unclasping her helmet to do so.

"Learn how to drive bitch!" the frustrated remark by an another biker was followed by a long tongued, vulgar display hinting at how she should be given oral sex, the gesture shocking enough for the man to drive straight into a lamppost. Rich alto laughter followed the scene, catlike green eyes focusing on the officer again with a playful grin playing on her lips.

Her dark hair drapes over her shoulders in messy, jagged curls.  She squeezes him hard against her, pulling him as close as she can given he's still astride his Ducati, tongue grazing the side of his throat before she seals a ‘kiss’ where his neck and jaw connect, whispers, “where are we going?” a little, breathless demand, blue green eyes revealing from behind long, thick lashes as she stares up at him, already completely and wholly enamored by the very sight of him, the warmth that he exudes, molten and inviting. Fuck, she's obsessed with this man, she swears, and although she would never admit it, it's plainly evident in the way that she drapes her smoldering gaze over him, blue green eyes fire-bright and ravenous as they hold him in their depths.

She tears her gaze away from him to greet his hand which holds the promise of a warm touch. She curls her fingers into his and squeezes his hand tenderly, expectantly pushing him a little to make space for her to get on his bike.

I also think about it too often. the fact they literally got someone to read this stuff out loud... they gave the bike a voice... what a sport. *pinches bridge of nose* anyway. I think!! the bike can be a little bit demonic. but it can also like... reflect something of the rider back at the rider - so that as a Part of the rider, it ends up becoming an externalisation of some of their most notable traits, a way of emphasising them as well as distorting them. it whispers back at you what's already in your soul... and if you pour a part of yourself into that machine, then this is what your machine will inevitably become. so it's a bit... the nature of competition, right, ensures that this naked desire to win will end up being transmitted to the machine. but then if you draw your desire to win from spite specifically... if you have, for instance, switched manufacturers and wish to prove the entire world wrong, to make your former employer miserable, to show up your rivals and make them suffer... then eventually, that desire will fester within the machine and its nature will be twisted and corrupted accordingly

though I do like valentino's yamaha being Special and Weird!! adores valentino, is possessive of valentino, is unnatural and by definition inhuman, is already kinda inclined towards malice, calls valentino away from honda... again, it's a way of representing what the step from honda to yamaha actually Means in narrative terms, how it's this process of self-actualisation with both good and not so good consequences... like!! it was the perfect marriage between a giant of the sport in ill-health and a champion who desperately required a new challenge. some purpose. so if you have a capricious, maltreated bike that simply finds the concept of valentino - uh, *clears throat* riding it too attractive to resist... then why not tempt the two-time defending champion to make the switch? to take the leap into the unknown? to give himself over to this new adventure? and, yes, this bike will not take kindly to being abandoned...

anyway yeah there's a happy middle ground there somewhere in where the malevolence Comes From. something already kinda creepy, unnatural about the yamaha that then is encouraged by valentino - who talks to it before every race, imposes his own will on the machine and gets some of his malice and spite reflected back at him. valentino whispers to the bike and the bike whispers back... he keeps it close to him, as it now contains a part of his soul. a mutuality here, a symbiosis... it's coming into your own as a bike and as a rider by embracing the cruelty of competition to the fullest. a partnership that is extraordinarily successful but also morally corrosive. a "once in a lifetime spark", if you will
