I HAVE SURVIVED COMIC CON! (just about-)

I am! A little scared of how many people took photos with me! I underestimated how much people like villagers lmao BUT EVERYONE WAS SUPER CHILL AND NICE I LOVE YALL 🩷

some of my incredible achievements this convention:

Was "hrm"ed at by an entire queue of people. I gave them all a good giggle im quite proud of myself for that 😋

Accidentally clocked some poor guy in the head with my hat while trying to take a selfie (sorry bro 😞)

Played my first DND game and rolled the WORST charisma possible in my first throw (1. How the fuck did I fumble that badly 😦)

GOT RECOGNISED AS NURM?????? HOLY SHIT IM STILL GOING FERAL (cosmiczomb on tiktok, the selfie above is her's ⬆️🩷🩷)

Not my achievement but SOMEONE ASKED MY DAD (who went in his regular clothes) IF HE WAS STEVE. LIKE SINCERELY ASKED HIM. THIS IS HIS SECOND ACCIDENTAL COSPLAY IM SOBBING

All set up at Dublin Comic Con!

I had to draw my favourite experience I had at Comiccon yesterday with the nicest people I've ever meet :,]

For those who don't know, I'm extremely awkward to strike up a conversation with at times IRL, but with these folks they were kindest to talk with without me getting overwhelmed too quickly and clam up. They complemented my cosplay and impersonation of Riddler and fawned over my Riddler trophy. Afterwards, I listened to how they went through their process of making really cool dnd dice and the amount of time that is gone into designing them.

It was a really nice conversation, probably the best convo I've had in a very long while irl. And my gift-giving ass had to doodle them a quick sketch of Riddler as thanks. Your man was absolutely flabbergasted by this and was bouncing up and down with joy because of this and offered a hug, which I gladly accepted. :,D

That moment will forever be a cherished memory for me because of that and I am forever grateful for that interaction 💚🥹💚🥹

Hey gang,

For any dublin comic con goes next year that are artists, DO NOT go to the panel with Gary Erskein.

His advice was bad and toddler level, and used very lazy solutions to character design. He said "use a cheetah print for a fast superhero" and did not elaborate.

When asked a question about being original and how to not copy a reference, he did not have an answer.

And he called Bioshock unoriginal.

Just generally the vibe of "boomer who thinks peak character design is captain america and rlly early marvel"
