The qualitative interviews

So far, I have done 5 interviews, or I asked advice from people that are travelling for business

Participant 1: A person working in the Airline industry and VR - He travels for business. - He suggested using the 360 content

Participant 2: A person working in marketing and analytics - We talked about ESG. She believes it is essential that I think about the quality of the trip. The price, service and quality should be good. This is in combination with sustainability. She also likes to see some official certificates in the app. Furthermore, she likes to see personalised filters when looking for hotels. She is wondering if aircondition in hotels is always needed. He likes to see if a room is very organic and sustainable and also has good quality. She also wants the app not to give wrong results. if I type something, it should show what she needs. Not something else. She also likes to see some history of the place and things to do around the hotel or in the city. Maybe something to show how they process food/fruits. But something interesting cultural, and sustainable to see nearby.

Participant 3: A person working in museum design - She travels for work to Denmark, Switzerland and around the Netherlands. Although she can travel by train, Iti s often too complicated. Therefore, it is easier to take a flight and taxi. Her boss ultimately decides, and he likes efficiency and not too expensive travel. Depending on who is paying for the trip. Sometimes the partner museum pays for the trip. They could stay in hotels and B&Bs. In other moments they can choose how they travel. This all depends on their collaboration. When she travels, she uses local mobile apps to find out the local transport, and she uses apps to see the weather. Her company will pay extra if the trip could be more sustainable but not if it is extremely expensive. But sustainable business travel is becoming more important nowadays.

Participant 4: A person working in UX design - Her first feedback was that the app needs to be sustainable, comfortable/ good quality and reasonably affordable. She also thinks she likes to see some CO2 emissions and that the business travel is carbon neutral. Also, she likes to see places to go nearby for people that have time left. She likes easy trips around to have some flavour of the local culture. Those places can't be too touristy. She furthermore likes to see sustainable certification. Also, she liked something about invoicing in the app. Apps she is using are google maps, airline apps, google calendar and a local transport map. Sometimes she uses trip advisor. Also, she does not want to think about sustainable business travel. She is there for the job, and the rest is less important. If time she wants to have fun. She is tired of offsetting flights, but she wants a good provider. So you can travel neutrally quickly. Furthermore as a UX designer, she suggested doing some nice Icons

Participant 5: A professor from Dubai/Pakistan. Connected to Business strategy, Psychology, Psychometrics, Data Science etc. See https://www.linkedin.com/in/minhaaj/ and https://minhaaj.com/ for more information. He suggested adding something in the app for vegans and healthy food. Think about ergonomics and working or travelling in good conditions. He likes to see things done with psychometric testing. Also, paperbacks on flights and how airlines serve food, use paper bags, glasses etc., are essential when you choose the airline. Furthermore, he suggested investing in solar, wind and electric charging. Also, investigating things about minimalism, using uber etc., could be connected to the app. Also, buying things you can use longer will be good for the environment. He said I should check google flights as it shows the CO2. Airlines and hotels can use brown paper bags instead of plastic bags. I should review the material design, and he sends me a good few links to review:

Crazy architecture... feels like Disneyland

Mostly it feels like a city made for robots ...

Not for families to live, eat, bring up children, grow old (you see very few elderly people) ...

But for robots (and humanoid shopping automata) it's probably lovely 😄

SHOPPING!!! (and olympic ice skating and aquarium and dental clinic and trampoline park and cinemas and driving school and hundreds of beauty treatments)

They also have Waitrose, Boots, WH Smith's, etc ... also UK plugs (but do drive on the right)

This is the only thing with the beautiful calligraphy (the only art museum is closed) ... but it is amazing

2/3 of the population are an unbanked underclass army of menial workers (drivers, cleaners, gardeners, waiters, cooks, ...) who typically come from India/Pakistan to serve all the white/local people - that's why everything is spotless

Fanastic choice in the female dress shops: black, black ... or ... black?

The men can look super sleek and elegant in their crisp white robes ... sometimes worn even by the traffic wallah

There is lush greenery and beautiful flower beds everywhere ... facilitated by water being pumped everywhere across what was desert

The ultimate show is when the Burj Khalifa (largest building in the world) flares up with an amazing light show, surrounded by a spectacle of water fountains

Don't overlook the dancing fountains near the Marina Walk's entrance, next to the Dubai Marina Towers Shows. The presentations run every 20 minutes in the evenings and on weekends during the day. 4. Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary

Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the free things to do in Dubai that is worth mentioning. An astonishing variety of migratory birds use the sanctuary as a breeding site and critical habitat support; you can see magnificent flamingos there, in particular, during daily feeding times. You can hang out in the sanctuary until around 11 AM and observe the birds in action.

5. Dubai Beaches

There are many beaches in Dubai to select from, and it would be impossible to do them all justice here, so if you plan to visit any time soon, we suggest reading our guide to the top Dubai beaches. However, the following beaches may be of interest to certain beachgoers: Due to its proximity to the renowned Burj Al Arab Hotel, Jumeirah Beach is one of the most visited beaches in Dubai by tourists. It boasts lovely cafes, restaurants, and water sports facilities throughout its stretch, as well as fantastic views of Palm Island. The Marina Beach (or JBR) at The Walk isn't really a beach; rather, it's a sunbathing area near The Walk.

6. Traditional Markets in Dubai
