04/52 The Ckockmakers daughter by @katemortonauthor 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5 "Birdie, if i were engaged to be married to the woman whom I love, then I would talk about her to the man who puts down grit during snowstorms. I would sing her name at every opportunity to every willing set of ears this side of moscow." This book was just amazing. This was my first Kate Morton and now I have made it my goal to read all of her works. This book was written so beautifully. The characters were so fascinating to me. It is written from two perspectice Elodie our main character who is an archivist who finds a satchel at work that contains a sketchbook and a photograph of a women taken over a 100 years in the past. Elodie becomes immediately drawn to the sketchbook as she recognizes a sketch of a house that looks just like one from a fairytale her mother use to tell her as a child. Our second perspective is a mystery in itself. Amazing characters, amazingly written, and the atmosphere 😍. Top add to all the amazingness (lol) I learned so much from a historical standpoint that I found myself researching historical events and references. I absolutely loved it and have already ordered The Forgotten garden, I can't wait to read it. @atriabooks @atria @theclockmakersdaughter @katemorton @historicalfiction @magicalrealism @mystery @dualperspective https://www.instagram.com/p/BtFgryYH8AX/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=vs1k3lm9d2i6
