"I couldn’t find the 2012 Chateau Lafitte in the end but I think I came across something better...” Troy announced as he returned to the office, his loud steps on the hardwood floors likely having indicated his presence to Jesse before words had even been spoken. Adorned in one of his characteristic chequered shirts, a pair of dark denim and scuffed hiking boots, Troy also as ever carried within him the classic vineyard scent of sweet grapes and fresh earth thanks to how he spent as much of his time as he could out in the field rather than cooped up in the office.
Barely a second went by after his former words before Troy continued, saying then “... however, I did find something that’s equally comparable, specifically a 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape that’s quite well bodied and robust to drink, should do us quite nicely...” With the bottle clutched in hand, Troy set it down upon his desk once he reached Jesse and a grin swiftly spread upon his lips. “Only the best for my favourite supplier after all,” he teased, chuckling then as he reached for the corkscrew.

Country Blues? Reba McEntire’s Former Mansion Is This Week’s Most Popular Home
Reba McEntire knows country music. But in the world of real estate, she’s hit a bum note.
The curious tale of missed opportunity surrounding her former home in Lebanon, TN, helped elevate it as our most-clicked listing this week on realtor.com®.
The sad story: The songbird once shared the lakefront mansion with her husband and manager, Narvel Blackstock. When the couple split up, they sought to sell the farm in 2016. The $7.9 million listing languished on the market, until a developer bought it for the steeply discounted price of $5 million.
After the property’s 80-plus acres were subdivided to develop multiple homes, McEntire’s original mansion was put back on the market for $2.95 million. Where McEntire saw a pile of regret, the savvy developer saw a pile of cash. And that’s how a country song writes itself.
Coming in at second place is a little slice of history in Palisades, NY. A stone cottage built in 1780 where George Washington is rumored to have worked has been listed for $1.6 million. The charming place includes a 1930s addition and measures 2,400 square feet. It has three fireplaces and two terraces, and is surrounded by flower gardens.
The No. 3 finisher is located in Ocean Springs, MS. Built in 1981, the custom home is one of about 150 designed by Carroll B. Ishee, who was known for constructing modern homes for the Gulf Coast landscape.
Bridge the Gulf along with us, and take a look at the 10 most popular properties this week.
10. 1244 Illsley Dr, Fort Wayne, IN
Price: $249,900 Why it’s here: This historic home built in 1910 has been “immaculately renovated and is “completely turn-key.” The three-bedroom, 1,900-square-foot home has many original details, including the crown molding, solid wood doors, and the wood flooring.

9. 11479 Clyde Rd, Hartland Township, MI
Price: $2,950,000 Why it’s here: Sound the bugles! Lords and ladies of Michigan, the esteemed Chateau du Vin awaits. Built in 2007, this brick and limestone castle measures 6,891 square feet and features multiple turrets, four beds, and eight baths. Sitting on 38 acres, the castle also comes with a wine cellar, stocked pond, and fruit and maple trees.
Hartland Township, MI

8. 36254 LA Highway-74, Geismar, LA
Price: $950,000 Why it’s here: For us, it’s all about the front porch with its ceiling fans, outdoor speakers, and gas lantern. We’d sit out here year-round. Built in 2015 and sitting on 6 acres, the home also features a screened-in back porch with pizza oven, Kegerator, custom bar, and views of a 200-year-old oak tree.
Geismar, LA

7. 409 W. Eldon St, Saint James, MO
Price: $136,000 Why it’s here: This charming 1940 home has undergone a floor-to-ceiling renovation. Inside you’ll find a wood-burning fireplace, open floor plan, new kitchen with butcher block counters, and french doors off the sunroom. Just under two hours from St. Louis, this place is the kind of steal dreams are made of.
Saint James, MO

6. 5746 Hohman Ave, Hammond, IN
Price: $114,900 Why it’s here: “Hammond is hot,” the listing claims, and we can see why. The city’s about 30 minutes from Chicago, but it doesn’t have the high home prices of the Windy City. Built in 1905 on a corner lot, this 6,721-square-foot house features stained-glass windows, hardwood floors, and a sunroom. The property is being sold as is for only $17 a square foot.
Hammond, IN

5. 791 E. Maple St, Holly Village, MI
Price: $175,000 Why it’s here: Built in 1893, this Victorian gem features original hardwood flooring, high ceilings, and paneled doors. We’d spend the summer months in that huge screened-in back porch.
Holly Village, MI

4. 4923 Kessler Boulevard East Dr, Indianapolis, IN
Price: $1,750,000 Why it’s here: The web just can’t get enough of the outrageous Kessler Mansion. The odd story of the sprawling spread became a social media star, and has taken up residence on our most popular list for several weeks in a row.

It also comes with a pool, tennis court, boat dock, and horse barn.

10. 1244 Illsley Dr, Fort Wayne, IN
Price: $249,900 Why it’s here: This historic home built in 1910 has been “immaculately renovated” and is “completely turn-key.” The three-bedroom, 1,900-square-foot home has many original details, including the crown molding, solid wood doors, and the wood flooring.

9. 11479 Clyde Rd, Hartland Township, MI

8. 36254 LA Highway-74, Geismar, LA

6. 5746 Hohman Ave, Hammond, IN
Price: $114,900 Why it’s here: “Hammond is hot,” the listing claims, and we can see why.

5. 791 E. Maple St, Holly Village, MI
Price: $175,000 Why it’s here: Built in 1893, this Victorian gem features original hardwood flooring, high ceilings, and paneled doors. We’d spend the summer months in that huge screened-in back porch.

BROOKVILLE. Standing majestically on well over 5 magnificent acres on what was once part of the du Pont estate, this enchanting young stone and stucco, 8-bedroom, 11-full bath, 4-half-bath, French chateau is truly an architectural masterpiece. Combining the grace and charm of Old World design with all the luxury and high-tech amenities so sought after today, it provides the ultimate venue for opulent Gold Coast living. Approached through iron gates off a quiet cul-de-sac road, populated by equally grand estates, a long winding drive leads to a circular courtyard. One cant help but notic e the graceful slate roof wrapping around various towers and turrets and the imposing front portico with massive hand-carved entry doors. An arched porte-cochere leads through a wing of the manse to a large service courtyard and attached 4-car garage. No expense has been spared in creating this magnificent residence, from its Brazilian cherry floors and hand-carved mahogany doors to its Smart House technology allowing effortless control of security, telephones, intercom, sound system, water filtration and more. Every room has been impeccably designed to create an inviting and comfortable space with exquisite ceiling, wall and window treatments. Originally purchased in the 1600s from the Matinecock Indians by early settlers, the Cedar Swamp territory east of Hempstead Harbor became a farming community of mostly English and Dutch corn farmers whose descendants sold their produce to a corn starch factory in nearby Glen Cove. By the turn of the Twentieth Century, many magnates and financiers were drawn to the area to build their grand estates. Today, the gentle rolling and wooded hillsides of Brookville are dotted with beautiful properties. According to Bloomberg News, Brookville is, the wealthiest community in the nation. Their residents enjoy a great location convenient to boating, golf, equestrian facilities, quaint village shopping, museums, and the Long Island Railroad putting them within a comfortable 30-mile commute to Manhattan.DuPont Estates is a gated enclave of 7 properties encompassing approximately 53 acres that were, at one time, part of the Alfred I. DuPont 101-acre estate. Built in 1917, his mansion, White Eagle and the entire estate was sold in 1971 to New York Institute of Technology, which has its Old Westbury campus next door to the property. The institute kept the mansion and surrounding property for its use but sold the remaining acres, which are now DuPont Estates in the early 21st Century. Paying homage to the original estate, these new grand mansions and their secluded and gated properties are the epitomes of grand and gracious North Shore living.Acres of sweeping emerald lawns edged by gorgeous raised beds of flowering shrubs and trees give a sense of endless domain to this breathtaking property. Ideal for summer entertaining on a grand scale, the estate includes an almost hidden tennis court backed by pristine woodland and a fabulous entertai
