homestuck aspects, but going in a circle

these are my ramblings from my little brain and what i've philosophized about over the years. this isn't the entirety of these aspects, just the parts of them that can go in a circle.

Time

Time is shaped like circle, the way i see it. it's really a slinky? the same kinds of events happen over and over again and progress in similar ways, but as they progress, they change. it's a slinky - you go in a circle, but you're also going forward and you never actually return to quite the same spot, just a similar one. in my personal belief, this is what causes deja vu.

Time, in concrete instead of abstract terms, is about how time keeps going no matter what - and you can't change that. the clock keeps ticking, and with it, all existence continues on and develops and changes. you can go with the flow and have an active hand in your destiny, or you can resist the flow and be swept along without any agency at all.

you have done all these things before, and you will do them again. you will continue, no matter what, and you will change as you do. you will never be who you were in the past, and you cannot see who you will become in the future. that's very exciting to me. i cannot wait to see who i'll become in the future.

Life

circularly speaking, Life is an aspect of cycles. birth, growth, life, death, decay, birth again. these things dont usually match exactly from cycle to cycle, but they do tend to repeat and grow and die and grow in the same archetypal ways. no two butterflies grow the same or live the same life, but every butterfly undergoes the stages of metamorphosis. it is inherent to their nature.

this part of Life, when applied in concrete instead of the abstract, is about cycles inherent to a Thing. the steps and rituals inherent to your daily routine. the growth and intricacies of the caterpillar's body as it morphs into the butterfly. the stages from a society's birth, to its growth, to its flourish, to its decline.

in contrast to Time, the repetition across cycles isn't the emphasis. the emphasis is instead on each specific cycle and how it grows and manifests. i.e., thinking more about the details of how you've decided to brush your teeth today and paying attention to the specifics of going over your teeth with toothpaste in the moment, and less about that fact that you brush your teeth every single day.

Blood

Blood is very different from the above aspects in that it is not a force of nature, at least not directly. Blood is the glue that holds people together, the bonds in life that give others their meaning in our lives. it is humanistic instead of metaphysical. so, Blood goes in a circle in a very different manner.

when seen circular, Blood is....a friend group connected by their shared interests and experiences. a community held together by a common thread of identity. a team of coworkers bonded by their shared place of occupation and the projects therein that bring them together.

a group of people holding hands, connected by their shared experiences and identities and bonds. not everyone on the circle will have something in common with every other person. however, through each adjacent connection, a circle is built and a community is formed.
