I’m taking your silence on the BBH and Karl guesses I sent as confirmation it’s either one

I'm on a trip right now, so I'm actually just not posting as much haha. But it's a valid guess, and I gotta say that Dream as Bad would be really cool, especially considering the deal with how the egg reacts with green and whatnot.

But, I'm going to go ahead and knock out some guesses I got in my inbox about Dream: he is not Bad, Slimecicle, Karl, or Callahan. But you're kind of in the right direction with Bad and Callahan? Definitely nowhere near Slime (he doesn't show up until Las Nevadas, canonically), and not Karl (who has shown up! but nobody's guessed them yet).

Karl and His Time-Twisted Fiances

In Karl's defense, he's never actually babysat before.

TW: Memory Loss, Miscommunication

"There is nothing you could take that I have not already lost."

Karl sighs, trying not to roll his eyes. It's a time of great distress for the toddler that is meant to be his fiance, he's sure.

"I can get you another cookie later," he promises and the teenage Quackity in the corner sneers, "Dramatic much?"

Four-year-old Sapnap sniffles.

Karl doesn't have a lot of patience for the seventeen-year-old version of his love, the one of two who should know better.

If he didn't know better, he'd almost say Quackity was feeling jealous.

Gods, this would be eons easier if neither remembered anything. As it is, they understand what's happening, but only to the extent their current age allows.

The little Sapnap had tearfully cried "fiances" over and over again, more than happy to have Quackity and Karl in the same room together for more than a minute.

Quackity, unfortunately, doesn't hold the same childish forgiveness. He glares at Karl like he's a villain and occasionally snaps at the toddler like he deserves to be yelled at before he can properly ride a bike.

"Please be nice to him," Karl says for the fourth time, "He's just a baby."

"No' baby," the baby complains, " Fia'ce ."

"I didn't agree to marry a baby," Quackity says dryly.

Sapnap sniffles. "No' marry?"

Tearily, he stares at Quackity like he's just said the world was ending.

"Of course I'm not marrying a baby ," Quackity says, "And grown-up you left me , so you can count me out on that one too."

"Left you?" Karl asks, says, "We didn't leave you, Quackity. You left us to go start Las Nevadas."

"You," he spits, "left me to go make your perfect little Kinoko Kingdom with Sapnap."

"We invited you," Karl says, eyes wide, "Quackity, I invited you."

"No, Karl," Quackity seethes, "You didn't ."

"I didn't?" Karl asks, something like horror in his throat. Gods, no wonder Quackity hated him.

"What?" Quackity asks, "Did you forget me?"

Karl inhales sharply.

He wouldn't, he wouldn't . And, yet, all of the evidence is here in front of him.

"Kar'?"

Little Sapnap is watching him, eyes wide and awfully concerned for a four-year-old. He shakes, knows that he's falling into familiar and forgotten pieces of himself.

"You actually forgot me," Quackity breathes disbelievingly. Tears well up in Karl's eyes.

"Forgettin' lots," baby Sapnap says quietly.

"Yeah?" Quackity asks, hurt and confused and angry, "Forgetting you ?"

"Think so," little Sapnap admits and Karl jolts.

"No," he swears, lies, "I didn't forget either of you, I won't ."

"It sounds like you already did," Quackity says, a little dead-sounding.

Baby Sapnap bites his lip. "Sick?" he asks tentatively.

Karl breathes.

"Sometimes," he admits, "Yeah. Sometimes."

Quackity purses his lips. "Why didn't you say something?"

"I can't," Karl says. He doesn't want to give them false hope. "Quackity, I can't . Don't ask me to, please, please, please don't ask me to."

"You don't trust us," Quackity accuses.

"No," Karl denies, "They won't let me--"

He shuts his mouth with a click, jaw snapping closed when his mind catches up with his mouth.

"Le'?" Baby Sapnap asks worriedly.

"It's not a big deal," Karl tries.

"You're forgetting your own fiance," Quackity points out. Fiance, singular. Karl tries to push the hurt down.

"Fia'ces," Sapnap says, stressing the plurality of the word.

"Right," Quackity agrees easily, "The point stands. If someone's hurting you, we can protect you."

"You can't fight this," Karl says tiredly, "Neither can I. Please don't push this."

Quackity sighs. "I'll leave it alone for now."

He bites his lip and his feathers ruffle slightly behind him. "You forgot to invite me to Kinoko Kingdom."

Karl nods. "I swear I thought I told you."

Sapnap sniffles, reminding them that he is literally unable to keep the pace of this conversation.

Hii I have a quick question! Or two... (Bro it's been 39 days since I last checked in.)

Are you gonna do the prision visits when Foolish who has Dream's role is going to be in prison? Or the Tales From The Smp?

If so I would love to see all the interactions and how you put it all together!

Second you said you spun a wheel for the roles yeah? So all the characters are pick with their roles ahead of time? And you wrote them down and made some rough draft designs so you wouldn't forget I'm guessing lol! I would forget so quickly!

Oh and also I am new to your blog that other ask was my very first one ever! I don't know how this works. Also I'm just gonna put "🥀" instead of the "🍂" so you can tell the difference from others!

I also hope college is going good for you! School is hard sometimes especially if you have other stuff your doing to! Never heard of "Wuthering Heights" before but I hope you do good on it!

And take your time with it all! I would rather wait a longer time for a good comic then have a super fast one done in like a few minutes that doesn't look as good as it could be. I'm sure everyone that's sticking around agrees!

Good questions! I will do SOME prison visit stuff. I can't get into the details, but there's a few story changes I include later to generally help make the dsmp ending make more sense. The general idea with this comic is to keep the big strokes of the canon story but alter a lot of the details and specifics to make it fit better with the shuffled characters (and to clean up some of the messier parts of the dsmp's story). c!Dream was in prison a suuuuper long time, and I don't want to have that dead space in my AU. As such, I'll probably condense some of that prison time (and add a few secret things) to make the story more compelling and interesting there.

And, sadly, I will not be doing tales from the smp. Hypothetically, in the comic, Jack will still have all of that stuff happen to him, but I will not be including it in the comic for two reasons: 1. Connor is the narrator, and it makes no sense for him to know any of that and 2. It would add probably 100 pages worth of content to an already massive project. I think it’s good enough to just include Jack feeling the effects of time travel and hinting at it and such for my AU.

And yes! All roles were decided at the beginning through random chance. I wrote them all done and made each character a character design sheet (I've talked about these a little bit before), and after all of that I got started on the comic!
