I need singers, and particularly rock singers (though this applies to everyone), to understand that whatever 'unique' traits they are putting on their singing in their 20s, the key point is whether or not they will be able to replicate that in 10, 20, 30 years time lmao

#obviously your voice is nor going to be the same as you grow old but what i mean is #what is the point in overworking and breaking your instrument and setting up an expectation you yourself won't be able to live up to?#sometimes it doesn't even take 10 years but even less time. please learn vocal technique for what it's worth!! i guess nodules and other #vocal chords issues are lowkey inevitable and come with the job. kinda like how I'm convinced all guitarists have tendinitis or how #drummers tend to lose their hearing. it all kinda comes with the job sadly but i think everyone needs to be better arlt taking care #of themselves!!!!!!#laura's tunes
