i did so much today im so tired

#drove to dads #popped to the store to stock up on mini pizzas #deep cleaned the moldy grimy washing machine #washed my towels #cleaned the trash from my car #spot cleaned the seats (tried to anyway)#took it to a hand car wash and scrubbed and pressure washed the car #(it hasnt looked this clean in yearssss)#vacuumed the inside of the car #came home and gave the dog a bath #did my laundry #dyed my hair #folded the sheets and towels #and drove back home (its 45 min - 1 hr each way)#im back now and need dinner. im hungry lfjskdkssk #also yesterday when i got home from work i took a nap and then got up and cleaned my room and cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes #oh i unloaded the washer before i left today too lol #i also stayed up journalling bc so much shit happened at work that day #ok anyway #im tired fjdfks #oh also i made a tiktok. well i uploaded one i didnt rly film anything

#OKAY SO i have been thinking about the hamlet post since i reblogged it the other day so i had to find panels to fit it #anyway i don't post about him much BUT #i do find jason fascinating both in terms of the Nonstop Emotional Intensity but also because on a narrative level #this is hard to articulate and possibly you need access to my dartboard of string in order to understand but #at some moments it's almost structurally as if you took the hero of a classic tragedy #and you put him in a story where he's the villain #it's like. what if hamlet but the story was told from the point of view of laertes #what if antigone but our pov character was ismene #you take the epic greek tragedy-esque stage and the tragic dramatic hero outraged at a terrible crime and the pile of bodies #and like. all of that is still true!! he really did get murdered!! it was really bad!! it's legit that he is mad about it!!#but then you frame it all from the perspective of the people going #'you just killed my dad and drove my sister to suicide you jackass'#and!!! they're not wrong either!!#and just ahhhh the way you can do that perspective-flip is just endlessly fascinating to me #web weaving #my comic art but we are using the term ''art'' loosely

many of you already know why but I spend more time than any sane person should listening to dungeons and daddies. doing some work tonight and solidifying these tips for dndads listeners who are continuity-trackers. To be specific, which players to actually map your flexible dndads “canon” off of:

Beth: very consistent about her own characters’ details. might wobble in regards to others’ or world continuity at large. safe to map off of.

Anthony: typically your best bet on world building details, starts to slip on things that aren’t particularly relevant to the overall plot, like an NPC that’s only barely a character at the time, or a specific game rule that’s funnier/better to have forgotten about anyway. very safe to map off of.

Will: most likely to be accurate about an obscure detail from 5 sessions ago. also might be plotting something directly in front of your face. pay attention to him, but also pay attention to where his plan clearly started from because anything before that is fair game to be lightly ret-conned for the sake of something better. generally safe but watch yourself.

Freddie: this man is making it up as he goes do not trust. unless it’s about an obscure fact he read on wikipedia or watched a youtube video about, then write that down.

Matt: This man knows continuity in vibe form only. Is his character role play impeccable? Yes. Can he keep his anecdotes about those characters from contradicting? Absolutely not. Disregard unless backed by a secondary source.

You, a woman on a walk, see another woman, alone in the forest, at 9 PM, crying and gushing blood from wounds all over her arms, her bike clearly crashed on the side of the path.
