Sollux's brow wrinkles slightly at the question, not because he's upset by it but because he worries talking about how bad things are might sour the mood, but it's a fair question all things considered.

"Kinda thuckth, to be honetht. I mean, athide from the family I've found, which ith the betht. Everythin' elthe ith thorta awful, an' there'th a lotta thcary ath thit comin' our way." He huffs a little, not sure if he should continue but he knows his explanation really doesn't explain much, not really, so he presses on.

"I had to blow up my hive an' my luthuth along with it, to trick the droneth into thinkin' I'd died. Becauthe the alternative wath gettin' thipped off-planet to become a thlave ath one of the Empire'th helmthmen, pilotin' a battlethip until I died... Alternia ithn't a very nithe plathe to live right now, but my family an' I? We're gonna change that."

His attention goes idly back to the show, intrigued by the idea of rocks moving across desert on their own. Earth, he decides, would be a really nice place to live.

"Bet it'th thweet livin' here, not havin' to worry about droneth or the Empreth. I'm gonna have to vithit more after thith, ehehe," he says after a moment, trying to lighten things up again.

Sollux lets out a content purr of his own, turning slightly to the side and curling against him. G didn’t radiate cold quite like Eridan or Dissy did, but his arms were still pleasantly cool when they wrapped around him, and Sollux all but went boneless in his arms.

Sure, he got plenty of cuddles and hugs from both Eridan and Dissy, he wasn’t lacking in that department at all, but he still loved and craved simple affection like this as if he was deprived.

Perhaps it was a side effect of having distanced himself from other people for so long, he didn’t really know. Either way, any cuddles were good in his book.

And G seemed almost made for them: soft and calm, with an easy-going, straightforward temperament that made Sollux want to snuggle up as close as he could get, head tucked slightly under the other’s chin while he watched the show with sleepy-looking eyes.

At the question, he shakes his head slightly, barely moving as he curls closer and tucks an arm around him as much as he can.

“Nah I’m good. You’d have to get up to get me a refill anyway an’ I’m too comfy to move.”

He smiles when the other troll relaxes against him. He always seemed to have that effect on other people. Probably because he was soft, comfortable and ridiculously chill.

His moirail had once described him as like “one of them bigass stuffed bears” and that had to be the most accurate description someone had ever given of him. He was just a simple, chill and cuddly guy. He especially liked it when people were small enough to curl up to him the way that Sollux had, it was just a nice sort of closeness to have with a person.

“Okay, haha fair enough. I be pretty comfy myself so I figured I’d ask before we got too settled in. You need anything though you just let me know aight homie?”

The documentary goes on to talk about rocks that move across the desert all on their own due to some other strange natural phenomenon. He hopes that Sollux finds it all as interesting as he does. He also wants to get to know the other troll a bit better, so he attempts to start a conversation.
