Ramiel, the third angel to show up (i honestly expected to just shrug bc it is just two pyramids slapped together but actually i like ramiel a lot)

[muffled shrieking] Once again, our first glimpse of an angel is from a great distance through a heat haze as it hoves on in to cause mischief. i like the noise it gives off; maybe when nge gets rebooted for a fifteenth time ramiel can be a little choir of shrieking platonic solids or something

unrelated but will we ever know what those cool weird skyscrapers are? maybe that’s why ramiel came all this way: it is a tourist taking in the weird architectural choices of tokyo 3 (aka at some point as neo tokyo 3)

also at some point ramiel is referred to as a “saucy bastard” in the sub i watched, and that really tickled me. yes, this lovable floating octohedron /is/ pretty saucy what with all its quick-draw laserblasts and how it flaunts how hard its drill is

the glittering surge of power along ramiel’s edges as it prepares to fire death beams is a v nice detail

i cant help but parse that last light sparkle as ramiel being very self-satisfied

i love the little incidental details like that passing cloud that help bring the giant angel into the scene like it’s actually there and floating and singing

i want /that/ as a lightsaber

i like the drill and its ‘blades’ (or whatever you call them) spiraling up the body. I’m kinda curious whether they wld work on a real drill since they take the place of the flutes/grooves

With dots of light running along the edges of this angel Ramiel looks like it’s brooding, waiting for any sort of resistance . . . it also kinda looks like a casino i saw once.

(is it just me or with this new lighting do the traffic lights look a little too photorealistic all of a sudden? prob just me. but it looks strange to me)

I didn’t realize the drill bit was actually lasers underneath, but I suppose that makes sense. You can allllmost get a glimpse of the metallic circular node that tops Ramiel’s drilltube--it took me four or five runthroughs to screencap this. do you think once ramiel penetrated through all the way something was supposed to come out of that circular bit?

alas poor ramiel. i spent like thirty min thinking about how a being like you might have evolved, and i am p sure your drill wld be your prehensile penis tentacle/prey-killing tool (obviously ramiels in the wild wld transmit dna by shooting genetic information-laden lasers at each other and then budding off teeny floating octohedrons, no need for actual dicks)

sigh anyway yeah that’s ramiel rip in peace. i might amend this later bc there are, i believe, more pictures in the next episode of ramiel’s shattered body
