Cheesy Beef and Mushroom Pita Pockets with Tzatziki Sauce 🥙🍄🧀
Full recipe ⬇️⬇️⬇️
For the Filling:
• 1 lb ground beef 🥩
• 2 cups mushrooms, finely chopped (such as cremini or button) 🍄
• 1 onion, finely chopped 🧅
• 2 garlic cloves, minced 🧄
• 1 tsp dried oregano 🌿
• 1 tsp ground cumin 🌿
• Salt and pepper to taste 🧂
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 🧀
• 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese 🧀
• 2 tbsp olive oil 🫒
For the Tzatziki Sauce:
• 1 cup Greek yogurt 🥛
• 1 cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out 🥒
• 2 garlic cloves, minced 🧄
• 1 tbsp lemon juice 🍋
• 1 tbsp olive oil 🫒
• 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill 🌿
• Salt and pepper to taste 🧂
For Assembly:
• 4-6 whole wheat pita pockets 🥙
• Fresh lettuce, chopped 🥬
• Cherry tomatoes, halved 🍅
• Red onion, thinly sliced 🧅
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Filling:
• Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
• Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
• Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
• Add mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and become tender.
• Season with oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
• Stir in shredded mozzarella and crumbled feta cheese until well combined.
2. Prepare the Tzatziki Sauce:
• In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and chopped dill.
• Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate until ready to use.
3. Assemble the Pita Pockets:
• Warm the pita pockets slightly in the oven or microwave for easier opening.
• Carefully cut the tops off the pita pockets to create an opening.
• Fill each pita pocket with a generous amount of the beef and mushroom filling.

your beauty holy grails and or beauty tips you swear by?
Nourish your soul. Pay it as much attention as you do your physical appearance, if not more
Heal yourself. Trauma and painful experiences can remain stagnant in the body. If you have read “the body keeps score” then you’ll understand this more.
The saying beauty comes from within is a common saying for a reason. Don’t be bitter, don’t be nasty, don’t be cruel.
Be as you want to be perceived.
If you want to be beautiful, then find beauty in everything around you.
Dried rose buds/petals in tea, baths, water, skin care.
Olive oil soap. Tallow moisturiser for the body and face. Hair oil masks once a week. Lymphatic drainage massages daily to undo years of toxic build up.
Set Intention with everything that you do.
Make soups that will comfort you.
Warm milk and sugar before bed 🥛
Care for yourself as you would a child.
Find validation within yourself instead of seeking it out from others. Trying so desperately to find validation from others and going to extremes where you no longer align with your morals will violate your soul. No matter how much validation you receive from others, it will never be satisfying.
I cook my own food and haven’t had fast food in a year. Probably an extreme but my body is sensitive to the foods I eat so I like to eat whole foods that I cook with ingredients I am happy with.
Cut off toxic people & pity friends. It’s better to be alone than it is to be surrounded by individuals who dont make you feel good.
Take care of your hair. It’s an extension of your nervous system and it protects you whether you know it or not. Nourish your hair with massages and oils and masks. Oil your ends before bed and sleep with a protective style no matter your hair type
Detox your scalp with an ACV rinse.
Living by your cycle/cycle syncing.
Drinking fresh carrot juice daily.
Carrot salads.
Practice gratitude.
Consistent routines that you live by.
I always wear stockings, tights, and heels.
I never go outside in sweatpants.
Full body laser hair removal. Very painful but 100% worth it.
Do well by yourself. Be your best friend and lover.
Eating spoonfuls of honey daily.
I’m not sure if I would call these tips but these are a few things I like to do to take care of myself. Doing these things makes me feel beautiful. I also like to read a lot, that makes me feel pretty. If you want generic beauty tips you can find them anywhere online.

he wouldn’t let it show openly, if not for the frown that makes his forehead crease and the worried gaze that only you can detect, but inside dabi is worried sick because the fever doesn’t seem to want get down despite you taking your medicines, staying warm and resting. he didn’t knew anymore what to do honestly, the sight of you in pain or unwell was genuinely hard to bear for dabi.
as he sat at your bed’s edge he took the thermometer and saw that the temperature was still at 39.7 degrees he looked at you pale; after tucking you in dabi glanced at the clock on the wall seeing that it still took some hours before you could take your medicine, so he grabbed the glass of water on your bedside table handing it to you saying that it’s better to keep yourself hydrates.
when he sees that you can’t even stand properly, dabi moves right beside you and puts an arm around your shoulder helping you slowly to raise your upper body, then he brings the glass to your lips and watches carefully as you drink it making a relieved expression afterwards as the cool beverage soothes your burning throat “you’re sweating, i think it’s better if you dry up and change your clothes.”, he advises moving the blanket and standing up so you can get off bed more easily. he holds out an hand for you to take so to help you stand without falling and starts undoing the buttons of your pajamas’ blouse, you start burning up for another reason and grab his wrists looking up at him flustered while telling the boy you can do it alone, he refuses saying that you’re to weak to even stand properly without having your legs shake like the ones of a newborn deer. so in the end not only dabi has changed you, but he also dried your body with a cool towel and finally put you to bed, demanding gently for you to take off the cold patch attached to your forehead to replace it with a new one.
after he feeds you some porridge and gave you your medicines, he changes into some spare clothes left here after his many visits and then tells you to scoot over so he can get in bed with you resting an arm onto the cushion for your to rest your head on, while his other one is around your waist to hold you closer. his eyes fixes into yours intensely and with worry shining into their depth “if there’s anything wrong or you feel any discomfort, tell me right away okay?”, you nod while looking at him mesmerized by that side of your boyfriend before snuggling against his chest as he rests his chin on top of your head and fall asleep like that.

Little things Ben does for Homelander that make me feral (Homelander x OC)
If they're about to sit side by side, Ben will adjust Homelander's cape so he won't sit on it. Accidentally did it on a live interview once.
Fluffs Homelander's pillow if he's in bed before Homie gets there.
Went out of his way to find soap and shampoo that didn't have strong chemical scents so Homelander's super senses wouldn't be as bothered.
Includes Homelander in his skincare routine. Always is extra thorough with working the serums and moisturizers into his skin as an excuse to massage Homie’s face. He gets extra kisses at the end.
Sends Homie texts regularly throughout the day to see how he's doing and cheers him up if necessary.
Has written "I love you" in webbing in the rails and cables of major bridges. This always makes Homelander turn a little red in the face.
Has Homelander's name in his phone as "✨❤️Johnny❤️✨" This name changes regularly. It has been 🎃Pumpkin🎃, 🥧Sweetie Pie🥧, 🥛The Milk Man🥛, Homie, and "Lover Boy". Homelander does not understand the emoji fascination, but finds it endearing nonetheless.
Set Homelander's phone to be an unassuming lockscreen and the home screen to a picture of him kissing Homie’s cheek.
Homelander's contact photo in Ben's phone is a picture of him asleep on the couch. Ben told him that he loves how peaceful he looks when sleeping.
Took the time to learn all kinds of foods Homelander likes and dislikes early on in their relationship. Even consulted with Vought's head chef. Cooks dinner occasionally and makes sure everything is perfect.
Always makes sure he has Homelander's favorite type of milk stocked. None of that 2% or nonfat type stuff. Goes out and gets more before Homie gets home if he sees that it's almost empty.
On the rare occasion Homelander doesn't pull Ben in to join, Ben will put towels through the dryer so they're warm after Homelander showers.
Has joined Homie in showers specifically to wash dried blood from him and comfort him.
Holds Homelander at night when dreams of his childhood distress him.
Sings for Homie when Mirrorlander won't quiet down. His singing is rough at best, but Homelander loves it all the same.
Has made a stress ball out of his own webbing before to give Homelander on a particularly stressful day. Homelander held on to it until the webs dissolved many hours later.
Keeps one of Homelander's spare costumes in his closet alongside a couple t-shirts for Homie should he want to change into something casual.
Created an environment where Homelander feels safe enough to dress down and exist in a far more simple manner.
Established that vulnerability between them will never be looked down on or punished.
Encourages Homelander to explore his emotions. Helps him process what he does talk about in a healthy, productive way.
Will let Homelander rest his head on his lap when they sit side by side. Strokes through his hair without being prompted. Will sit still for hours if Homelander dozes off. Anything to give him peace.
Has rewatched the same handful of western and macho man movies hundreds of times with Homelander. Granted, he's usually falling asleep during them.
Plays guitar in the background while Homelander practices his scripts. Always giggles when he hears Homelander idly humming the tune the next day.

Beef and Mushroom Cannelloni with Ricotta and Parmesan
Ingredients:
For the Filling:
• 1 lb (450 g) ground beef 🥩
• 2 cups mushrooms, finely chopped (such as cremini or button) 🍄
• 1 onion, finely chopped 🧅
• 2 garlic cloves, minced 🧄
• 1 cup ricotta cheese 🧀
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀
• 1 egg, beaten 🥚
• 2 tbsp olive oil 🫒
• 1 tsp dried oregano 🌿
• Salt and pepper to taste 🧂
For the Sauce:
• 2 cups marinara sauce 🍅
• 1 cup heavy cream 🥛
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀
• 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped 🌿
For Assembly:
• 12-14 cannelloni tubes
• 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 🧀
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Filling:
• Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
• Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
• Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

A Clash of Kings - 34 JON IV (pages 459-468)
Jon's team makes it to the Fist of the First Men, and Ghost leads Jon to treasure.
The Reader almost reports a new follower as a Bot. (Follower remains on Thin Ice.)

The Old Bear was particular about his hot spiced wine. So much cinnamon and so much nutmeg and so much honey, not a drop more. Raisins and nuts and dried berries, but no lemon, that was the rankest of southron heresy - which was queer, since he always took lemon in his morning beer.

A torch had been thrust down into a crevice, its flames flying pale orange banners when the gusts came. He snatched it up as he squeezed through the gap between stones. Ghost went racing down the hill. Jon followed more slowly, the torch thrust out before him as he made his descent.
They need lanterns, torches don't actually last all that long and the naked flame can get blown out in the wind. They need those sturdy 'storm lanterns' I believe they're called with the oil soaked wick and the hard to break glass covers that have their own little crash cage, but with the back shield to catch the light on one side to bounce it back and so you don't blind yourself with it.
The Reader: *is a huge fan of lanterns in general* what? a light source bias? me? pssshhhh, nahhh.
"What have you found?" Jon lowered the torch, revealing a rounded mound of earth. A grave, he thought. But whose? ... The bundle turned, and its contents spilled out on the ground, glittering dark and bright. He saw a dozen knives, leaf-shaped spear heads, numerous arrowheads. Jon picked up a dagger blade, feather light and shiny black, hiltless. Torchlight ran along its edge, a thin orange line that spoke of razor sharpness. Dragonglass. What the maesters call obsidian. ... Beneath the dragonglass was an old warhorn, made from an aurochs horn and banded in bronze.

He let them fall, and pulled up a corner of the cloth the weapons had been wrapped in, rubbing it between his fingers. Good wool, thick, a double weave, damp but not rotted. It could not have been long in the ground. And it was dark. He seized a handful and pulled it close to the torch. Not dark. Black. Even before Jon stood and shook it out, he knew what he had: the black cloak of a Sworn Brother of the Night's Watch.

Gimme a sec I need to look up 'double weave' cause my brain is saying 'does he mean twill?' which, hilarious if yes. Nope, not twill, double-cloth. The thing where they double the threads and shuttles involved, very thick and warm.
(Twill, by the way, is a fabric that goes over two under one in a stagger, (which is probably why my brain skipped there) and was made "popular" after being produced in a little place called Nîmes, in France back in the late 1800s. as an export it was called serge de nim or twill de nim (lit. twill of Nîmes), and yes, if that sounds familiar it is because today twills are sometimes called denim. the jeans fabric. My brain thought "black jean cloaks for the Night's Watch." basically. XD)

ANYWAY!
I like the imagery in this chapter, with Jon and the torch, the overall vibe of "you need to look, but things will be hard to see or find, the answers you need do not lie in safe places but out beyond them."
I also like that Mormont is asking Jon for his opinion and making him think about things, reason it out, because he did know the answer when he stopped to think. Subtle growth still counts!
