📍 DRESDEN 🇩🇪: This is from atop the 'Bruhl's Terrace' or the 'Balcony of Europe'. It offers sweeping views of the city dotted with several historical buildings, museums across the River Elbe. Facing just opposite to the river, you can get a fantastic view of the street ahead of you. _ | Historical Dresden | Germany | _ TRAVEL TIP: The street you see in front takes you straight to the Neumarkt. Along the way you also get to see the famous Frauenkirche, the Lutherian Church, destroyed in the WWII and subsequently rebuilt. Do walk through the streets, lined with restaurants upto the square with the statue of Martin Luther. It is a fantastic place to spend the evening. Just opposite to this view is the river Elbe. It is as brilliant as this view. Sit on the chairs and enjoy the view with a drink and cool breeze. _ PHOTO TIP: This is quite a popular spot for shutter bugs. As a result, there are several pictures of this view. So I wanted something different, something dramatic. And I was rewarded with a cloud sky on a gloomy day. I clicked the image with cloudy WB, a less ISO, lower aperture and to compensate a slower shutter speed. I used a tripod and flash. 📍 DRESDEN 🇩🇪 : This picture has a great story behind it. The famous Semperoper in the historic centre of Dresden is so popular that there are innumerable pictures of it clicked my several photographers. The most difficult part is to get a complete shot of the entire opera without anyone photo bombing it. I knew I had to get a dramatic shot to make it different. It was as usual a cloudy day with rain. Towards the evening as the sun was setting, the position of the sun was such that it was directly coming onto my lens. And hence the result. The brilliant tint on both side of the building was my reward. _ | Historical Dresden | Germany | _ TRAVEL TIP: Only thing I would suggest is that, do make a guided tour of the semperoper. It is mind blowing from inside to say the least. The intricate designs and its history is amazing. If you have time and a opera is organized you can see that as well. _ PHOTO TIP: All I can say it was more luck than skill to click this photo. I used a mirror but how I did it is a secret. Cloudy WB, and a little trick with the shutter speed and aperture numbers.
