I want to color my dreadlocks again but they are so short and young now and I don’t want them to be...overpowering. my last head of dreads were about 3 years old and extremely long and the bottom half was dark green, and then I bleached to mint.. but im very uncomfortable in short hair and I don’t want to make matters worse until i have long hair again.

My dreads, at almost two months, are still distractingly itchy and, as they have locked up very close to the roots of their own volition, they always pull painfully on my scalp. :( I keep them clean; I use residue-free shampoo; I've stopped overworking them to reduce stress on the roots; yet these issues persist. 

Tonight's been spent vacillating between shaving my head and dealing with this crazy mess on my head another day. It's definitely a one-day-at-a-time journey, and today is the closest I've come to offing 'em. I don't wanna give up, but how much hassle and frustration is enough?

I do not enjoy this hair.

I´m going blonde since it is a bit more Anonymous than magenta/pink/hotpink dreads. I will still have dreads, just have to comb the roots out first and have my hairdresser bleach them. Since it would be a slow death for my beloved locks to be bleached as locks I am unable to do so and live whit myself. I just really do not like to have ordinary, loose hair all over my head (to be honest it is more like over two thirds of my head). So I will continue to get them out and hopefully finish today. I use a broken crothetingneedle to break as few hairs as possible... I have also ordered new real human hair for the extending of them. It is really great to get them Clean from the inside and out. All dust and discusting stuff getting brushed out. I will remake them much much thinner so there will be nowhere for the dust to hide.
