in general is a beautiful album and the vibes are mostly Andy and Quynh struggling through their reunion or maybe some angsty alternate universe but with a happy ending bc i refuse to accept otherwise! also many mentions of the water and the ocean, bonus immortal wives points for that

Undone! Now that's a song I want for Andy and Quynh. Of course, it’s okay to ask me stuff like this! I love to talk about music.

I don’t know why, but I prefer female to male voices, so my favourite pop artists are almost all women. My all-time favourites include Adele, Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Avril Lavigne (I was such a big fan of her when I was a teenager and even though I don’t listen to her as much as I did in the past, I’ll always love her songs.

I’m also really fond of the latest R&B/soul wave in pop music, so, I really enjoy artists like ABRA, FKA twigs, Janelle Monáe, Jessie Ware, Jorja Smith, NAO, Kehlani, Kelela, The Weeknd…

My favourite lyricists in pop are, by far, Lorde, Patrick Wolf (especially the lyrics of the song “Bluebells”), and Tori Amos.

Chapstick. It's near impossible for me to wear lipstick with out screwing it up and I don't love the feeling of Chapstick but it's the lesser of two evils. Usually I'd go with a tinted balm.

Souvenir de Downtown - Octobre 2016

Sortir du Sky Train à Granville Street, remonter la rue jusqu'à Canada place et marcher jusqu'au bout de la jetée. En profiter pour admirer le spectacle des hydravions qui vont et viennent entre la mer et le Ciel. Te planter devant la vue sur North Vancouver de l'autre côté de Bourrard Inlet, et sur les montagnes qui surplombent la ville. Regarder, le souffle coupé. Reprendre ta marche en faisant le tour de l'imposant building avec à ta gauche la vue sur le port commercial le plus important du pays. Descendre Cordova Street jusqu'à la fameuse Steam Clock au centre de Gastown. Elle est toute petite, tu t'attendais pas à ça, avoue. T'arrêter dans un coffee shop et envoyer un solfie à maman. Échanger quelques mots avec la fille assise à la table d'à côté. Elle est australienne, elle cherche du boulot. Repartir vers Chinatown et passe devant une sandwicherie dont l'énorme enseigne indique "Megabite.". Rire toute seule comme une demeurée parce que quand même, la seconde langue officielle du Canada c'est le français ils pourraient faire un peu attention. Faire un tour dans le jardin chinois Sun Yat Sen et prendre en photo les carpes Koïs et les branches des saules pleureurs qui tombent au ras de l'eau. Sortir de Chinatown en passant sous la porte de la Chine et aller jusqu'à  la Rodger Arena. En la longeant, tu te dis que tu adores les Vancouver Canuks, même si y a en encore deux semaines tu savais que cette équipe existait. Y a deux semaines, tu savais même pas que t'aimais bien le Hockey. Drôle de vie. Continuer ta route en passant près de l'énorme Stade B.C. Place, puis traverser les beaux quartiers de Yaletown jusqu'à la marina où tu prends l'Aquabus pour te rendre sur Granville Islande en traversant False Creek; ce petit Bateau est tellement plus cool que le bus. Te dire que la nana qui conduit la petite embarcation n’a pas l'air bien plus vieille que toi. Elle a de la chance, tu voudrais bien son job. Tu voudrais bien savoir conduit un bateau, ça à l'air chouette. Arriver à Granville Islande, remonter le quai, te retourner et prendre une gifle monumentale en voyant la skyline de building de Downton qui s'élève de l'autre côté du petit bras de mer. Tu t'en assois tellement c'est beau, avec les mouettes et les goélands qui volent autour de toi. Repartir après une dizaine de minutes; faire le tour de la presque ile en long en large et en travers en te disant que c'est l'endroit que tu préfères jusque là. Granville Islande ressemble à un village de pêcheur avec des maisons couvertes de taule colorée. Ça te rappelle L'Islande. Passer devant la Emily Carr University of Art and Design et te dire que t'aurai préféré faire tes études là, c'est quand même plus classe que le Campus Fonderie de l'Image, Bagnolet. T'arrêter presque 45 minutes dans une libraire jeunesse, parce qu'après tout on ne se refait pas; et puis grimper en haut de la petite colline de Ron Basford Park, à l'extrémité Est de la presque ile. Essayer sans succès de faire un solfie avec le drapeau canadien qui est planté là. En passant devant une vitrine qui expose un super bonnet des Canuck tu te dis que tu l'achèteras la prochaine fois que tu viendras, ça te fait une raison de plus de revenir. Aller manger un bout au Public Market après t'être émerveillé devant tous les étals de mets du monde entier. T'as bavé devant le fromage, avoue.  Te poser avec un fish and chips devant une baie vitrée qui donne sur le port, et écrire une petite bout de ce texte dans le carnet que tes collègues t'ont offert avant de partir. Et puis faire un crobard de la vue et de la mouette posé de l'autre côté de la vitre. C'est pas très beau mais c'est pas grave, tu t'en fiches. Enfin ! Repartir vers Downton en aquabus,  et dire au revoir à Grandville Islande, à regret bien sûr. Débarquer à l'entrée de West End et longer la côte le long des plages de Sunset Beach et English Bay. Prendre en photo des chiens qui courent dans le sable, slalomant entre les énormes troncs de bois flotté qui ont l'air d'être là depuis des décennies. T'avancer jusqu'au bord de l'eau et tremper tes docs dans l'océan Pacifique. Regarder l'horizon. Beaucoup. Longtemps. Bien sûr, pendant tout ce temps écoutez de la musique. Dire Strait. The Doors. Simon and Garfunkle. Un peu de Coeur de Pirate parce que le Canada. Renoncer à regret, aux grands sapins de Stnaley Park, tu n'as pas le temps, tu iras la prochaine fois. Encore une bonne raison de revenir, tien. Traverser West End en remontant Daman Street. Te faire la réflexion que cette vielle et la plus Gray Friendly où tu ais jamais mis les pied, devant les couleurs LGBT qui ornent tous les lampadaires de la rue. Aller te baladez entre les tours de Coarl Harbour qui surplombent la cote nord et puis traverse Georgia Street et le quartier des affaires. T'as jamais vu de buildings aussi haut, la Défense peut aller se rhabiller.
