Dragon Steve Au.

Steve is really different from other dragons, at least emotionally. He’s empathetic and cares about others, while ordinary dragons care only about themselves and their hoard. Some dragons even have no problems with killing other family members for their riches, their love of greed more powerful than their love of kin.

Since Steve has no materialistic hoard to protect, his instincts latch onto the only thing that’s most precious/important to him, his friends. Steve is SUPER worried that if this is true, he might not be able to control himself and he has no idea what kind of leeway he has before he just blacks out and losses control.

Its stresses him out immensely and he subconsciously starts distancing himself from everyone. Thankful they find out the Russian drugs and the Mindflayer were the majority cause of him entering his Frenzied state. Dragons and soviet drugs do not mix.

Dragon Steve!

-When Steve transforms, its either 100% human, or 100% dragon, there is no in-between. He can’t be human and have dragon wings at the same time, it’s all or nothing. The only outlier to this rule are his eyes, they can shift and become dragon-like when he gets angry or agitated enough. 

-If Steve tries to transform back into a human too fast he’ll end up with a mop of long hair as a side effect. (Totally not an excuse to draw long haired Steve)

Dragon Steve!

-After season three, Robin and Steve are working at the video store together. Robin knows Steve’s a dragon, considering she saw him transform and duke it out with a giant meat spider.

-Billy survived thanks to Steve’s intervention. Even after getting tortured and drugged by the Russians, Steve still throws himself between everyone's and the Mindflayer. His claws and teeth are useless against the monster’s thick hide, but his fire proves to be devastating against it, enough to burn the collected mass of flesh into ash within minutes.

-Two weeks after, Steve  is in his empty garage, transformed and sitting on top a couple of old, dusty sheets. Grimacing he takes a sharp claw and wedges it underneath one of his golden scales on his shoulder, painfully cutting the connecting flesh until scale falls off. He can’t help but hiss in pain as the cool air hits the exposed wound on his arm now, but he knows he still has a long way to go. If he’s going do this, he might as well as cut them all off.

-When he transforms back into human, he’s surprised to see white, scar like markings on his body from where he pulled the scales. He’s not too bothered by them though, as he knows when his next shed happens his scars will heal. However that won’t happen until he turns thirty, so they’ll be around for a bit, but he doesn’t regret it. 

-He wants to give all the kids, Nancy, Robin, and Jonathan a scale each. Wants them to be able to live happy lives, go to any collage they want, or maybe even travel to other countries. He plans to give Nancy, Robin, and Jonathan their scale next week, but for the kids he’ll wait until they graduate.

-Steve SUCKS at flying. He’s never done it before and he’s too nervous to try it. He knows people are not going to react well to seeing a dragon flying around and he would really doesn't want to get shot, thank you very much.
