Dracma: Do something about this.

A few nights after his ill-fated Trollian conversation with Cervin, Dracma Picpic boarded the familiar blueblood scuttlebus that went to the other side of town. It was a cool, dusty night, and the bus was sparsely populated. Chewing furiously on one of his hoodie strings, Dracma watched as the desert scenery give way to that of the inner city. A couple of teals got on, then got off again. Rain began to dash against the window. Cervin did not know he was coming.

By the time he arrived in Cervin's neighbourhood, it was a downpour, and Dracma, umbrella-less, was soaked through. He stood on his tiptoes to reach Cervin's doorbell and rang it several times, before hammering loudly on the door for good measure.

Well, you made it! Cervin's business card is a little crumpled and smeared in your hand now, but you're pretty sure you've got the right place.

It's not often that you make a good impression on another highblood. Those guys are pretty good at sniffing out the weaklings in their midst. But for some reason - maybe because he formed his opinion of you before you opened your mouth - this guy seems to think that you know what you're doing, and you intend to coast along on that fact as long as you possibly can. Hopefully long enough to swindle him out of some of that sweet library money, because, hoo boy, your GritCoin portfolio has taken some hits lately.

First, though, you have to play it cool. You're gonna be so goddamn cool, and you're gonna go to this nerd bookhive, and you're gonna schmooze this guy to hell and back, God damn it.

Okay, loitering around the door like a weirdo isn't doing you any favors. People are going to start staring. You shove Cervin's business card back inside your pocket - best not to look too eager - and wipe your weirdly clammy hands on your pants. You square your shoulders. And you bust through those doors with all the highblood swagger you can muster.
