ken doi has played the reaper's game twice, once in his late teens and once in his early fourties. the surge of inspiration he got from his first reincarnation led him to make his idea for a pin-based multiplayer game a reality, and his second victory led to him quitting his job as private chef for a wealthy family and opening up his own restaurant instead.

he also developed a minor sixth sense, mainly manifesting in an increased awareness of when someone hails from the ug, but he also occasionally glimpses noise and the wings of reapers when they're in the rg.

Ken Doi has a place in Dogenzaka, close to his shop, where he's lived since opening up Ramen Don. It has, predictably, a large, extensive kitchen, including an oven, since he loves experimenting with food, even at home. Other than that, his home is pretty simple, minimalistic, and cozy, though there is some art hanging on the walls, most notably an oil painting of a bowl of ramen just inside the front door.
