Spoiler for the ko-fi build (just to be sure, I'll try to be the vaguest possible)

Before the blooming ceremony, the DC and Filtchen have a conversation in which she divulges a secret, but she says that she dosen't know what that means for the MC and that she learned the truth recently. Is it true? I got the impression that she knew exactly what MC will have to do, that she just doesn't want to say it out loud. And what "recently" means? Days, months, years?

Hi anon! ooooh, that's a good one, and you're very perceptive. I'm not entirely sure we'll get to explore that in the rest of CH04/epilogue, so I'll answer this one! 8D

BTW, this scene will be available for everyone in the next public build, so if you didn't play the supporters build, you'll soon know exactly what I'm talking about, yay! ;)))

here's the tragic answer:

Filtchen has been deeply in love for over 30 years, and she's nothing but loyal...but the longer her affection for the DC (and her feeling of responsibility for their well-being) grew, the more she tried to avoid the truth. so, as for whether she knew about it or not... *takes a deep breath* It's not so much that she "only recently learned the truth" but "only recently HAD to accept it."

Yvana never talked about it, of course, but Filtchen had enough information and brainpower to reach her own conclusions and make a very, very educated guess of what exactly was coming.

and "recently" can mean two things. how long since she was forced to accept the truth? three days--since the preparations for the Blooming de facto started. how long has she been running from that truth? around twenty years, give or take.

this is actually one of the reasons why she was so intent on helping during Elias's and then Yvana's reign... but we know how *that* turned out.
