I've had multiple procedures now with Dr. Gabel and have always been super impressed with everything and my whole experience of being a patient of his. This male patient came into the Gabel Center for a hair restoration. He has had 2 previous surgeries, this was his first with the Gabel Center in Portland, Oregon. He discusses the reasons that he selected Dr. Steven Gabel and the Gabel team for his hair transplant. Dr. Gabel also explains his procedure of limiting his surgeries to one per day, so that he is able to completely focus on the patient's well-being, and spend the maximum amount of time with each patient. This 40 yr-old gentleman came in with severe hair loss at the temples and a receding hairline. After consultation, it was determined that he was a good candidate for a hair transplant procedure. In order to maximize density, the patient opted for an ultramicroscopic Follicular Unit Transplant (Strip method). Dr. Gabel and the patient designed his hairline and total of 3342 grafts were transplanted into the hairline in one procedure. Postoperative photos are 6 months after surgery, the affected areas have shown significant improvement in the affected areas. The patient is very happy with his results and looks forward to the final results in 6-12 months.

Dr Steven Gabel | FUT 1571 Grafts in the Frontal Hairline | 1 Year Results

This 28-year-old male was diagnosed with Male Pattern Baldness and wanted a hair transplant to restore his frontal hairline. He wanted to increase the density in the afflicted areas and so opted for a Follicular Unit Transplant (Strip) procedure. The patient has a good density in the donor area, and we were able to transplant #1571 ultra refined follicular unit grafts into the frontal zone in a high-density pattern at our Portland Hair Transplant Clinic as depicted in the photographs. The patient is very happy with his results and excited with the new, increase in density of the affected area. His patients' postoperative results in these images are 12 months from the original surgery.

I wanted to share the incredible experience I had with Dr. Gabel and his team.  Getting a hair transplant was very nerve-wracking because I was afraid of making a mistake.  I did a lot of research and consulted with a handful of other doctors.  It was important for me to find a doctor that I was confident in doing the procedure but most importantly a doctor that I trusted.  After my first consultation with Dr. Gabel, I knew he was the right doctor and I trusted his judgement.   I had a lot of questions around all aspects of the procedure;  Building natural looking hairline, hair density, FUT vs. FUE, scarring, what to expect appearance wise after procedure, timelines for re-growth, operation details (Pain?, meds, etc).  Nothing felt like a bad question and every answer I received was honest, with a well educated recommendation when needed. I couldn't be happier with Dr. Gabel and his team!  Dr. Gabel was very transparent with his expectations on what he could accomplish, he was also patient with all of my questions/concerns, and he guided me where I needed to ensure I got my HT done correctly.  I can easily say Dr. Gabel is a true expert and someone to trust to get things done correctly....his team and him definitely lived up to my expectations and even exceeded it!
