Tbh Stanley Keyworth is a national hero
Like he helped Josh recover and regain his ability to function after he got shot
And then helped the president of the united states move on from his father's abuse and actually get some sleep for once
I don't even want to know what would have happened to Josh if he didn't go to therapy. He broke a window?? With his fist??? Idk if it ever explicitly says he was suicidal but there was some not good stuff going on in his head
And Jed is the President. He kind of has to run a country?? And having someone to help him through personal issues was just really a good thing
I don't know where I was going with this but appreciate Dr. Keyworth

Exactly What It Says on the Tin. They can be compassionate and understanding where everyone before has been cruel. Alternatively, they provide characters with the kind of Tough Love they’ve always needed. Regardless, they’re always smart, almost always cool, and never resort to drugs when they're not needed.
Sean Maguire - Good Will Hunting
Jennifer Melfi - The Sopranos
Charles Xavier - X-Men
Dr. Bliss - Hey Arnold
Molly Clock - Scrubs
Stanley Keyworth - The West Wing

Note
Do you have a favorite episode of The West Wing?
A great question but just one?! I find it very hard to pick one episode as my favourite, I guess you could say I have favourite episodes for certain moods.
For pure comfort my go-to will forever be Celestial Navigation, I mean come on, it gave us this gem:
Tumblr media
Now, for the episodes that simply blew me away, I would have to say firstly, Noel. The acting, the writing, and the direction are amazing. Brad's performance is phenomenal and I love his dynamic with Dr. Stanley Keyworth. The man in the hole speech followed by 'Long as I got a job, you got a job, you understand?' gets me every time!
Secondly, Two Cathedrals, I've said it before and I'll say it again, the last five minutes of that episode is probably one of the best five minutes in television history. The direction and use of 'Brothers In Arms' to build the anticipation of the press conference was incredible.
Also, In the Shadow of Two Gunmen because not only do I love seeing how they all came together but I also love the angst of it all.
Honorable mentions, in no particular order: 17 People, In Excelsis Deo, The U.S. Poet Laureate, Take This Sabbath Day, 20 Hours in America, The Debate, The Cold and Election Day (Part 1 and 2, 2006).
