Lonnie Smith (July 3, 1942 – September 28, 2021) styled Dr. Lonnie Smith, was a jazz Hammond B3 organist who was a member of the George Benson quartet in the 1960s. He recorded albums with saxophonist Lou Donaldson for Blue Note before being signed as a solo act. He owned the label Pilgrimage and was named the year’s best organist by the Jazz Journalists Association nine times.
He was born in Lackawanna, New York. He was raised by his mother and stepfather and the family had a vocal group and radio program. He stated that his mother was a major influence on him musically, as she introduced him to gospel, classical, and jazz music.
He was part of several vocal ensembles in the 1950s, including the Teen Kings which included Grover Washington Jr., on sax, and his brother Daryl on drums. Art Kubera, the owner of a local music store, gave him his first organ, a Hammond B3.
He had five children.
Starting in the 1970s, he added the “Dr.” title to his name. The origin of the moniker is unclear and was not an academic title. One theory is that fellow musicians called him this due to his ability to doctor up” their music. Another is that he adopted the title in an attempt to differentiate himself from other musicians.
He was well known for wearing a turban. He stated that the turban had no religious significance and was something he had worn since he was young. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence

Fixing Curse of Michael Myers(again)
I maintain the opinion that Halloween 4 was one of the best sequels. I have problems with 5, but feel like while imperfect(yeah fuck ya'll for killing Rachel and replacing her with Tina) is still an okay sequel. But Curse of Michael Myers ruined everything. Danielle Harris was disrespected. Donald Pleasance was disrespected. The Man Of Black and the Cult HAD PROMISE, especially after Samhain was teased in HII, but poorly executed and they fucked Michael Myers and put in a fucking incest baby. Fuck both cuts. Fuck Joe Chappelle. Fuck Miramax and most fucking importantly. Fuck the Weinsteins. Danielle Farrands fucking tried. Fuck this movie.
But here is my latest attempt to fix this and the Thorn Trilogy's conclusion. I am taking inspiration to the alleged original Farrands script that enticed Donald Pleasance to return and the Lord of the Dead script(IFYKYK I am not spoiling)
I feel like Curse of Thorn should have just been about the cult of Thorn trying to make Jamie the next killer. No baby and no Strode Family. If anything, I'd replace the Strodes with the Wallaces. Lindsey returns and reunites with Tommy.
Dr Loomis role is similar. Retired after giving up the search for Jamie.
Until 7 years later, he hears her voice. Tommy hears her too.
By chance, Tommy and Loomis meet and save Jamie just in time.
Lindsey, is haunted by that night all those years ago. She has no idea why of all places her family could've moved to, why did they choose the Myers house. Her father turned abusive after he couldn't handle her PTSD and Danny is her little brother instead of her son.
Tommy lives with his family, Mrs Blaneknship is their landlord.
Lonnie Elam is the town drunk, his brief encounter with Michael Myers broke him. Until one day he is offered a new path. Thorn.
The former Sheriff Brackett returned to Haddonfield. To pay respects to Annie, but mostly because he has studied the history of the Myers family and Haddonfield. Something's wrong with this town.
Throughout the movie Michael kills Tommy and Lindsey's families and friends.
Loomis, Brackett, Jamie, Tommy and Lindsey all plan to get the hell out of Haddonfield. There is something wrong with this town and it's not just Michael.
Jamie, Lindsey and Danny are captured by Thorn.
Tommy insists they rush after them. Loomis stops to make an important phone call. "I need you help. I never wanted to bring you back, but they have Jamie and I am dying. Come back to Haddonfield."
"Who was that?"
"Someone I never wanted to involve in this madness again"
Tommy has a confused look, but a sudden realization.
Lonnie helps Tommy, Brackett and Loomis into Smith's Grove and helps them save the girls and Danny later in the movie.
Before they storm the gates of hell, Brackett apologizes to Loomis for blaming him for letting him out. He realizes this cult was in control and let him out. "Michael and Wynn will pay. For Annie. For Judith. And for Laurie."
Loomis and Wynn have their confrontation.
Wynn gives a speech about being the last remnant of the ancient tribe of Celtic Druids, the believers of the true Halloween. Samhain. He believes Michael to be the embodiment of their ancient god, who chose Michael as the vessel and ever since then used Thorn to help Michael back again and again. It was him who taught Michael to drive and it was Wynn who was really Michael's doctor. He takes credit for making Michael take Shape(heh) Now it's time to finally pass his evil onto Jamie.
The ritual takes place and it's a battle of good and evil between Loomis and Wynn for Jamie's soul. If Wynn wins, Jamie will kill Danny. If Loomis wins, Jamie is finally free.
Loomis kills Wynn and takes Jamie. Tommy saves Lindsey and Danny and Michael is hot on their trail.
Michael kills everyone in his path like in the original cut. Until, he finds Lonnie. He has him by the throat and you think Lonnie is dead, not yet..
Brackett sacrifices himself. He fills Michael full of lead and Michael kills him. His last words are "Annie.."
Loomis makes a sacrifice. Has Smith's Grove wired with C4 and blows himself up with Michael and the Thorn cult. "It's time, Michael"
As everyone believes it's over. They head to the bus station. Tommy, Lindsey and Danny are on the bus. The Cult grabs Jamie.
In the center of town, it's revealed the entire town is in on it. They plan on sacrificing Jamie and as her fate looks bleak. Who comes to the rescue? Her mother, Laurie Strode.
She takes a gun and shoots cultists down, unmasks her hood and tells her daughter "RUN" And as Laurie and Jamie are able to escape Haddonfield. They notice something. Someone in Wynn's old MIB garb.
All Laurie can say
"Michael…"
Bonus points. A different H20.
H20 would be about Laurie and Jamie on the run. It's been 3 years since Laurie came to save her and it's about Laurie overcoming her trauma, Jamie overcoming her abandonment issues, trauma and John learning to live with his family's skeletons in the closet. All while Jimmy Lloyd, Jamie's father comes back into the picture. We'd find out Jimmy left Laurie after she left their daughter behind and because of the legality of his "death" he couldn't protect his daughter. Now the Strodes are united, along with Tommy and Lindsey and they fight off the Cult while Laurie and Jamie decapitate Michael and kill him once and for all
Oh and the best part? Michael kills the Cult aka slaughtering nearly everyone in Haddonfield to prove that they never controlled him, he is purely and simply evil.

"I Miss Those Days" is the first single taken from the forthcoming Theory of Mind album by Blend Mishkin & Soul Sugar coming later this year. The song features the talented Georges Perin on vocals and it is available in all streaming platforms today.
Soul Sugar, a disciple of jazz master Dr. Lonnie Smith on the Hammond organ and a veteran in the French music scene worked with Kid Loco, Blundetto and more is known for his intricate reggae-jazz masterful improvisation and brings a distinctive mellowness and complexity to the song. His use of the Hammond organ and Clavinet adds a layer of depth and authenticity.
Blend Mishkin, a versatile artist, who has mixed and moved across reggae, dub, soul, as well as world music, introduces elements of funk rhythms to the mix. His production techniques, combined with the rich, analog sound of the vintage instruments, creates a sonic landscape that is both timeless and inspired.
