Have been making more spindles recently bc its a pretty good constant low level migraine activity. This particular one isnt done but spins super well, better than the beautiful one that i bought. Definitely not as pretty though. Have been debating whether i want to try decorating them or not. I did used to paint my handmade drop spindles with oil paints but 1) it takes a really long time to dry completely when the humidity is this high and 2) i kinda left all my oil paints outside in the greenhouse so i dont even know if theyre still usable. Other options would be attempting to carve a design, which i see going poorly or else woodburning something, which i also see going poorly with the added risk of burning myself again. So im undecided.

#really enjoying making these tho #only thing that would improve the experience is if it wasnt so cold outside #was snowing earlier but it happily melted already #spindle making #also have been scouting out better spindle wood and took some very straight branches from the hospital when i was there earlier #which is what that one came from and its rly nice #downside of this is i dont know what kind of tree it came from RIP #and that it leads to me carrying lots of wet branches around but ah well
