Monday, July 10th: Returns

Another new week whipping in to focus. I haven’t felt that inspired to write non-fiction lately, I guess because even with my routines I’ve felt a little on the lost side, the future a question mark. But I’m starting to see it all the more benevolently, opportunities. 

I can learn to love change. I can learn to get out of my head and finally perform a little stand up in front of something other than a mirror. I can go on another date. Each time a little wiser to the fact that men are low key bullshit. (I may or may not have commitment issues)

Moments from today:

Met Mckenna, possible new roommate, she seems like a total chiller.

Laughed with Katie in the kitchen over men and mid-20′s misery.

Practiced saying 28 in an upbeat way. I’m going to be 28. 2-8. 28. 

Goal Progress:

Reading: Finished Fourth Wing-ugh so good. Next book for tonight is “Kasher in the Rye” by Moshe Kasher. 

Writing: My phone is filled with quotes from imaginary characters, have an idea for a scene where a friend comes back from the dead and talks to you about how you’ve moved on. 

Cooking: Today I made pork chorizo sandwiches with roasted onion and poblano peppers and fig mayo. Also roasted sweet potatoes with grated cojita cheese. Listened to Pete Holmes interview Jeanette Mccurdy. Now there’s a girl with real problems. 

Political Awareness: Can I bear it to look? Ugh not really, but I have two Crooked’s to read so I’ll be buffed up before tomorrow. 

Getting Outside: Power walked my little booty to the ocean and back. Dua Lipa has been the only thing I’ve wanted in my ears. 

Dressing with Style: Powder blue leggings, navy sports bra, bitch socks, old blue Asics, navy Dosist ball cap.

Cleaning: Unpacked from LA, currently doing load after load of laundry, redid the dishes. 

Organization: Have to pay a toll and a parking ticket, accepted the google referral email from Grace. Because life is paperwork. 

Yoga: Whipped out the mat after fully not doing yoga for a week. Okay fine, 10 days. Pleasantly surprised to see my flexibility is still there. Sometimes rest is a good thing. 

Meditation: Listened to one of self-compassion, which stays with us when self-esteem leaves us cold. 

Comedy: Recommitting...tomorrow I swear. It’s been a non-funny mood lately. Moshe Kasher is a comedian though so there’s that. 

Health: No one wants to a do a no alcohol challenge with me, but I’m fucking over it. 

Skincare: Botoxed, covering my face with a hat, and sunscreen. 

New Experience: Took a cold shower, freaked at first and then it felt amazing. The cool plunge thing is real. My goal is to dunk my ass in the ocean.
