Roaming the Halls After Dark || Doe and Em

It was late, just past curfew. She had to sneak back to her common room, as she did most night. She slipped out of the Hufflepuff boys dorm and into the hallways. Her hair was a little messed up but not too bad; hopefully no one would ask what she’d been up to. There are few people who would ask, most knew but didn’t say anything about it. She saw a few students still roaming around so she knew it wasn’t as far past curfew as she thought.

She briefly stopped by a window to take a look outside, it was nearly a full moon, it was beautiful. There was a little bit of fog lingering around, it was like a work of art. She wished she could replicated it but she couldn’t, she wasn’t that good with pastels just yet.

There was a shadow coming towards her but she couldn’t tell who it was. There was not enough light from the torches to see the face. There was no threat inside the castle, atleast with the prefects and professors around, but Em went on the offensive anyways. Her body tensed a little but she continued to look at the window in hopes that the beauty of nature would be enough to distract her and whoever was out there for awhile.
