Honestly like this is good and maybe worth the $7.99 it’s only a dollar above our price range get off our backs or just like buy six of these honestly it’s so good. It’s easy to drink, it’s smooth. It’s sweet but not like sweeeeet its dry but not dryyyy it’s just like solid. 

Also, this wine is from Italy like the real deal. The winery has been around since 1124. It’s legit and you will look dope and high class high roller bringing this. This is a sipper, it’s for a carb but not a rich food, like pasta or caesar salad. A not creme sauce pasta but like a sage and butter sauce. #nomeatballs. We don’t want to turn our backs on our best friend Cal Dennison, and we won’t because for the price you can’t beat the taste. But when you’re down for six wines including this one or one $8 wine, this is where you should go. Everyone gets pinots and cabsauvs, go Chianti. 

We’re joined today by local hero and experience producer Alex Zhang referred to as both Alex and Zhang in this post. He isn’t big on wine but he lost his keys so here we are listening to him about wines I guess. 

And really, enjoy wine because everything else in the world is dumb. 

Smell

This wine is p low key on the smell front. It doesn’t give you that cheap wine alcohol head rush that some of our worse for the ware wines do. Zhang claims he smells chlorine but we, more seasoned winos, disagree. He’s also half asleep. Because we are wine connoisseurs at this point we obviously smell the hints of vanilla all wines carry. 

Liana has heard that sometimes wine smell like the wood of their barrel. Or maybe thats taste? Zhang said cedar. Sure. 

Honestly it smells good because it doesn’t really smell at all. 

Taste

Alex I Don’t Like Common Things Zhang, our friend, confidant, and admitted wine non-lover, had some early thoughts about the taste of this wine:

“It tastes like fruit juice. And I fucking love fruit juice.”

Zhang’s cedar call on the smell also works for the taste, it tastes like licking a board of cedar wood we assume as in it’s rather subtle like a plant of wood might be. We cannot verify as we do not have cedar planks to lick and we also wouldn’t. 

Liana is getting a citrus-y maybe floral taste? She did that annoying tougue slapping wine taster thing for like thirty seconds and that’s what she came up with. The floral came late. Naomi got citrus too. Maybe that’s just that it’s alcohol. Also, if you slap your tongue in your mouth like a tru profesh wino for long enough honestly it would taste like whatever we tell you it tastes like. Hell, we can say it tastes like olive leaves and leather. Real sohms say shit like that all the time why can’t we. No seriously in some movie someone said like “new tennis ball” as a taste. 

Alex tasted Liana’s glass to see if he could see the citrus. He just got upset and said mine was stronger than his. “It’s more wine-y.”

Wine Thoughts 

Our college home is really cool. We spent a lot of time over this wine discussing what it would look like if we didn’t rent out any of the rooms on the whole bottom floor of this 19th century Victorian mansion. We’re envisioning a big grand dining room and a dopea living room. Property Brothers style break down walls open concept giant kitchen. Alex just confused Bette Davis and Betsy DeVos. Trump is dumb. Wine is good.

Well I never thought I'd ever see this! 4 arm chairs, sofa and 2 tables in a Louis the XIV inspired Rock and Roll decadent fabric. The sort of thing you expect to find in an episode of MTV cribs featuring a 22 year old NBA millionaire. And the sort of thing normally put of the price range of someone who's not already a millionaire or on the way to being one. Owned by one of Jimi Hendrix's road managers. Which normally I'd call buckshit but come on! Look at that awesomeness!?
