🌹🐉 At first, Thorn appears to Zaira only in her emotions - he has no corporeal form. Instead, they feel each other. When Thorn is sad, Zaira cries, and when Zaira is mad, Thorn lashes out, etc. First, they learn how to control their empathetic symbiosis

Second, Zaira hears Thorn speak for the first time. It's low and warm and somewhat raspy. And vice versa, since they've only communicated through their emotions, he didn't know what she sounded like either. They bond emotionally first.

Third, Thorn appears before Zaira in his human form. This is a sign that their bond had become Souled Out (which is a way to say soul mates) and completely in sync. Then she sees him in his dragon form as he fights to defend her while she prays for Salvation (high-level holy spell)
