His scolding forces you to stay quiet, trying not to make a single sound. Your ankle really hurts, but he's right and keep moving will not help him. You clench your hands to punch, trying not to think of the pain while he, with his gentle touch, keeps to put something on that ankle.

His idea to challenge you, to see how much you were improved, had been very good at the beginning but then your competitiveness had taken over and that was the result.
