Robert Gordon fue cantante a mediados de los 70 de la banda punk- power pop neoyorquina Tuff Darts con la que solo publicó 3 canciones en la recopilación doble “Live At CBGB´s” a la que tengo especial cariño porque también incluye otras tres rarezas de los primerísimos Mink Deville. Para cuando los Darts sacaron su único LP en 1978, Gordon ya había volado para hacer lo que verdaderamente le gustaba con el extraordinario guitarrista Link Wray (padre del garaje con el Johnny Burnette Trio y Bo Diddley). Juntos grabaron los dos álbumes iniciales “Robert Gordon With Link Wray” y “Fresh Fish Special” (1977-78) cargados de convincentes interpretaciones del viejo rock and roll. Billy "The Kid" Emerson publicó el original de “Red Hot” en Sun Records en 1955. “My gal is red hot - your gal aint doodley squat!”, que bien, pero realmente lo que versionaron tanto Robert como los Beatles punk de Hamburgo no fue el original, sino la exitosa versión de Billy Lee Riley.

No one will mind if I read just a little bit, right? I mean, not like anyone’s around to hear.

La-da-da-dee-dah, de-da-de-dah Wait … is that all it says? Who would write something like that?

Utter nonsense. I mean, what is that even supposed to mean? “Skit skat doodley bap”

@ochatooru-week day 6 iridescent! Dude, what an amazing concept! I was doodling and then a rainbow shine went on my sketchbook and I was like, that's Tooru. Since she can refract light, she sparkles! Ochako thinks its really pretty. These two are such a cute couple!
