The Future of Reideam
Been a long time since I last posted here, but I promise it will be for a good cause.
Back in my college years of 2016-2017, I was working behind the scenes of a new webcomic series. It would be my first, original work and one that would become my passion project. I liked it so much that I decided to work on it as part of my graduating integrative project and got a passing grade in the process. That project was called The Legend of Gamiserun, though it would eventually be changed to Reideam. Even while I was in university, I would still continue working on it, and at the end of 2019, I began to work on the outline for the prelude story The Sparrow and the Serpent.
...Then came 2020, and with it the pandemic. A lot of my motivation for Reideam went down the drain, and I soon began to adopt a hermit-like lifestyle. I still tried to work on character designs and such, but not nearly as much as I did. Near the end of 2020, I began to wonder if I really wanted to do Reideam as a webcomic. (Especially since I ended up putting all of my focus into my final university semester so I could graduate, but that's beside the point.)
I decided to express my concerns about it over on Twitter, debating on whether I should continue with my plans to make Reideam a webcomic or abandon my idea altogether and tell the story in a different medium, even if it may disappoint some people in the process. Especially since doing a webcomic as massive as Reideam (discounting the short stories to go with the lore) would take me up until my mid 40s to complete it. And as much as I want it to be my passion project, I also don't want it to become a burden.
One person commended me for thinking it over and for understanding that my ambitions could make me bite off more than I can chew. She was also confident that I would have a great story to tell regardless of the format -- something which I'd never thought I would hear from anyone. After all, the most important thing is that I tell MY story and the process I undergo to create it. Which would also mean going back to see if I can condense or omit subplots, character arcs, etc. And in a way, she was right!
Which is why I am going to announce my final decision:
Reideam will NOT be presented as a webcomic! It will instead be done as an illustrated novel, along with the short stories that go with it!
I'm aware that some people will be disappointed to learn about this, but this is the route I've chosen to take, and thus the route I would like to take. Maybe once the story's concluded, I might pitch a graphic novel version of it, but for now...it's going to be an illustrated novel. Plus, I really do not think a webcomic would be the best platform to present Reideam in, especially not after what happened to my hard drive (long story). After all, I believe it's better to not start the webcomic at all than start it and discontinue it after several pages or chapters because you were dissatisfied with how it's been going.
TL;DR, Reideam will not be presented as a webcomic, but as an illustrated novel with a possible pitch for a graphic novel version.

Hey, long time no Tumblr!
First up, I'd like to apologize (or, rather, Apollo-gize) for the sudden activity drop. My final semester has really been eating away at my free time, especially Tumblr. Don't worry, though: I only have about 2-3 weeks left, then it's off to graduation and I'll be done with university...at least, for the year.
Second, my laptop died at the start of February, so I was forced to buy a new one. It runs pretty smooth for the most part, but the storage space is so TINY, and it has some...quirks (like suddenly blue-screening while I'm in the middle of an assignment). Not to mention it has a habit of heating up for no particular reason. Hence why I'm practically forced to use an external hard drive.
Fret not, though! Once my semester is over, I'll try to find more free time for Tumblr (and less time for Twitter). No promises, though!
Until then, keep on objecting, my good fellows!

Why do I keep getting the idea of the MM11 Robot Masters quoting Tales of Vesperia, especially if it’s to annoy Acid Man? XD

GINORMOUS UPDATE!
Heya, folksies! Just gonna start off with the news that, no, this blog isn't dead! The only reason for the lack of updates was because of ToT closing down as well as me being incredibly absorbed in my college and university studies, among other things.
Second, I would like to announce that Flowering Hearts is back, albeit in a different group called As-Told-By-Us (ATBU, for short), alongside a new team. As such, this blog will be undergoing quite the makeover to reflect upon those changes. New biographies, new icon, and all that jazz.
I don't plan on deleting any of the older posts, as they're still a part of how FH came to be, but any older asks will be considered non-canon.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say on the matter. See you in a few weeks!

#Mouse talks!#should be obvious but donut reblargh#perhaps I... AM really into a slow burn#all my favorite fics have the characters dancing around each other up until the end and like#I. have just realized that my ideal fic would actually leave that unresolved.#WEIRD#'but Mouse why would you want to read a whole fic where they're just pining after each other and then never get together'#IDK BUT I WOULD I JUST GOT MYSELF REALLY HYPED UP ABOUT THE IDEA#it. is possible. that's why I like so many unfinished fics#well GOSH I'm just learning all kinds of things about myself here in the tags wow!!!

Oh yeah I ran into my ex and it wasn't as terrible as I thought. I still don't want to be friends with her but at least running in to her went well. And milpool and other friends were around so I feel like I had an out and it wasn't too scary.

WARNING: Potential Deletion Soon
So as the title states, you might notice how I’ve been inactive from a lot of things (much of which I’d rather not talk about). And after thinking it over, I’ve decided that I might end up deleting this entire sideblog and start from scratch; just rebuild the whole thing from the ground up and make it into a proper blog for the content it was meant to have.
In the meanwhile, you’re always welcome to follow me on my main blog.
Main Blog: http://cyber-wildcat.tumblr.com
That is all.

I'm going to warn you guys right now, the last two prompts are going to be a bit spicier than normal. The overall rating for the entire fic will also be changed to reflect upon that.
Hope you guys understand.

Top 5 List of Current Fandoms I’m In as of 2020
So I figured I may as well jot this down while it’s still fresh in my mind, so people will know which fandoms I’m most fond of.
So here we are, the Top 5 List of current fandoms I’m in as of 2020.
@blackhakumen @xfangheartx @thepissedpsychologist and anyone else I can’t exactly name off the top of my head, but still deserves to see this.
1. Ace Attorney
This one’s at the very top of my list for a number of reasons. While it’s not a series that ultimately saved my art career two years ago, it is a game series that I’ve been keeping close to my heart. I even have a sideblog dedicated to all things Ace Attorney, known as @apollo-justice-for-all (and before you ask, yes, I mostly reblog posts of the best boy Apollo Justice himself on there!)
2. The Dragon Prince
This one’s a bit more recent, but still one that I’m in currently. The moment I started watching the fist episode, I was HOOKED! I mean, it’s got dragons, cute and heartwarming sibling relationships, LGBTQIA+ (lookin’ at you, Voltron fandom), and magical beasts. Also, did I mention it’s got dragons? Real talk, though, I just really love this show so much. Maybe I should consider making a blog dedicated to all things TDP, like I did with Ace Attorney.
3. Mega Man
Practically my all-time favourite video game series ever, and one that I keep closest to my heart. I don’t think this one needs much explaining, especially since this was the game that began my video gaming career while kindling my love for superheroes and fast-paced action. Also, robots. Yeah, robots.
4. Kirby
What can I say about Kirby? This series currently stands as my favourite Nintendo franchise, for a number of reasons. It’s got a plethora of colourful characters and very dark villains, Kirby himself is practically a powerhouse all bundled up in a tiny pink package...you name it. Not much else I can say about it, so I’ll leave the rest to your imagination on why I love Kirby so much.
5. Freedom Planet
Ah, yes. The one series that I’d call a real spiritual successor to Sonic, while also being independent of Sonic (especially when you consider the fact that it started off as a Sonic fangame). It’s pretty much a combination of Sonic, Mega Man, Gunstar Heroes and (in my opinion) Kirby, with its trio of heroines, anthro animals, a vividly colourful cast, mutant monsters, killer robots, and more! And, of course, I’m eagerly waiting for the full release of Freedom Planet 2 as much as the next person!
...And that’s pretty much it!

So I’ve been keeping pretty silent about this until now, but after reading Grookey’s description over and over, I’m thinking that its final evolution will either be Grass/Psychic, Grass/Fairy, or stay as a pure Grass-type.
