i've said it before, and i'll say it again. all of you should check out and read dungeon crawler carl. i can't even really begin to explain why it's as awesome as it is without getting into spoilers, but if you love the sound of a hunger-games-alien-invasion-with-fantasy-RPG-rules-style story starring an -at first- Normal Action Hero Dude and his pet cat with a sassy AI character and a huge helping of anti-capitalist sentiment, then it's gonna be right up your alley. i'm reading book 7 right now, and my god, this series is fucking gripping. it's silly, absurd, heartwarming, but will also shatter your heart into so many goddamn pieces when you least expect it.

also, the audiobooks narrated by jeff hays are just a delight. he does such a great job of making every character sound distinct, and the added sound effects make the whole experience so much more immersive. if you've already read the books, please share this so we can spread the word!

I’m calling it right now, this is one of the best book series I’ll read all year. “But Carter, it’s January”, yes I know. This is one of the funniest book series I’ve ever read, parts of it are heartbreaking and heartwarming, a talking cat is one of the main characters, and a velociraptor. Also poor Carl runs through this entire thing in his boxers. I’ve burst out laughing repeatedly at some of the shenanigans and situations they get into.

10/10

I burned through the current 6 books within two weeks.

I would eventually like to turn this into an RP blog for the community where all of us can interact and have fun as canon characters or our own OC's.
