How long had it been since that last battle? How long had it been since the Grand Couturier cast her body aside to merge with the original life fiber and Shinra-Koketsu? Nui didn't know, honestly. Realistically it couldn't have been more than a year or two, but it felt like centuries that her consciousness had been suspended in space, existing but lacking a corporeal form. Slowly but surely the occasional life fiber had found their way back to the planet, attracted by its signs of life and potential for evolution. This gave Nui the opportunity to regain her body, but she found it was all she could manage to do - not enough life fibers had returned to do anything with. She wasn't about to admit it out loud, but without 'her' half of the sword scissors and life fibers to work with, she was comparatively powerless. For now. Biding her time was her only option. On the bright side, if her assumptions were correct, a certain someone no longer had their kamui either.

But enough of that! 

     "I hope Ryuko-chan likes white cake~" she commented as she watched the baker behind the counter frost the dessert. It was decorated in a way that uncannily resembled the scalloped design of her dress - a surefire way to get Ryuko's attention.

   "Have that delivered to her residence as soon as possible, please and thank you!" 

And of course, Nui would be watching safely from a distance when her 'soul sister' received her gift.

"Oh, should we?" he smiles, wrapping his arms around his fiance’s waist. He pulls her in for a hug, his hands rubbing her back. "What would you like to do, dear? You should let me treat you every once in a while."

Late, late, late. Late like the white rabbit in that stupid fairytale. Late as she was, Ragyo never ceased running, stopping suddenly as she let her feet slide on the school floor, right in front of the Tailoring Club room. Gamagoori, Hakodate and Oogure would be there already, and she frantically came face to face with the machine, prepared to say her name.

"R-Ragyo--"

I've spent the last two weeks talking with her endlessly everyday, and I wish I had met her sooner in my life. She has become such a wonderful friend of mine and she always will be.

I remember the first day we interacted, I told myself, "I really like making this girl laugh." I was often goofy with her, but when we had serious conversations, I enjoyed every moment. I wanted to be there for her as much as I could, always. I was glad I could be someone she could talk to, and I would listen for as long as she needed. I will never give up on her. She means so much to me. I really hope I helped her a little. I hope I made her smile and laugh and feel happy sometimes.

I miss talking to her so much.

I hope she'll get her phone service back soon or that she'll surprise us with a trip to the library to say she's alright.

God, I just hope she is alright.

The Island.

A few months after the REVOCS incident rumors began to surface of another monster.  An undead girl living on a remote island, devouring all that enter it.  It has been said that she is a demon, or a God of death, or a zombie with one thousand faces.  But all legends say the same thing, no one who has seen her face has survived to tell about it.  Eventually the rumors spread to the mainland and finally to Japan.  Some producers are even going to be making a movie based on the legend.

But is there some truth behind it?
