Well, I almost missed out on #nationalselfieday! Ya know I can’t let that day go by! It was a tough day to even do a selfie. As you may know, I deal with depression. As I woke this morning, I could feel it coming in strong. It’s been going on and off all week but this morning I knew if I didn’t do something, I was going to succumb to my depression. Friends on here and wonderful people I follow were posting left and right! My mind was depressive and telling me I wasn’t good enough for it. I almost believed it! I went outside after the rain and I did my adulting stuff. I made myself work and then I saw things, like the lipstick I’m wearing in these photos, and was inspired. I am worth of these photos. Once I put my make up on and did my wig, I felt inspired and creative. I changed and reminded myself I am worthy! I won’t let it get me down! So, I know this was long, but don’t let depression get you. Fight. You are strong. You are beautiful. You are worthy to be here. You are great. My next #booktoscreen endeavor is #themapoftinyperfectthings on @amazonprimevideo This one is based on a short story by #levgrossman I listened to the #audiobook which was only 2 hours long including an #authorsnote that explained why he wrote the story (it’s inspired by the movie Groundhog Day) and how he also wrote the screenplay, the trouble with adapting a short story to a longer visual format, COVID delays, etc. I loved both the story and the Author’s Note. I’m happy to report that the movie was good too.
